Everyone I encountered at Sandy Hill Dental Centre was warm and friendly. They explained what they were doing as they worked and presented all of my options without any pressure. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist in Ottawa.

To be honest, I went to different dentists. Experience that I have with this dental care centre is great and I never had such a great experience pushing me to write this review. The equipments are modern and the explanations provided by the dentist and her team is more than enough. This makes you feel comfortable. I appreciate their efforts. All in all, they are excellent and I do recommend them. I give them 5+ star.

I'm new to Ottawa and did a simple Google search to find this clinic...so thankful I did! I've been to several dental offices in many cities, but have never had such a great experience! The staff is super friendly, great service and the rooms are cozy and very clean. There's a TV and coffee machine in the waiting room but you never wait there too long as they are on time with their appointments.

I have been a resident of Sandy Hill for two years. I’m currently looking for a new dentist and thought this place would be super convenient, they also had great reviews. I filled out their online form for new patient requests and received an Email back from the practice manager who said that they are accepting new patients but that unfortunately they don’t accept patients with my type of insurance. I am a person with a disability and my dental coverage is through the Ontario government. My insurance covers yearly cleanings and check-ups, x-rays, fillings and repairs - basically everything except cosmetic work. The reason some dentists don’t want to accept this insurance is because they have to wait to be reimbursed by the government. They do the work and send in the forms and the government pays them later. My old dentist in Kanata says it takes 3-4 weeks to be reimbursed. I understand this is a slight inconvenience for the office, but do persons with disabilities not have a right to dental care? I’m sad that dentists have created a two-tier system: one for people with “preferred” insurance coverage and one for the rest of us. Reminds me of tiered healthcare in the U.S.

The best dental clinic I have ever visited! Incredibly helpful and kind staff, very quick to answer your inquiries. The front desk has superior organization with your appointments, reminders and post-service paperwork. Dr. Catherine Major is an excellent dentist, she takes time to explain each procedure in details (and she uses lingo you actually understand!) and always goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort and safety. Latest Review: I visited the clinic on June 24, 2020. It was my first visit to the dentist since COVID-19. I was rest assured by the efficient system in place to ensure health and safety compliance - they have a text message system which greets you at arrival, then advises you when the room has been inspected and sanitised prior to entry. Regarding the Invisalign treatment that I received, Dr. Major was extremely diligent and thorough in her explanations, and the procedure went very smoothly! My recommendation from the initial review therefore remains, I would highly recommend this dental clinic :) Initial Review: I visited this clinic on December 5th, 2019 and I am so happy to have found them. Every staff members I interacted with were pleasant, courteous and informative. Visiting dental offices can be very stressful, but Dr. Major and her staffs were very caring and accommodating, the visit was almost relaxing! I would highly recommend them :)

Went for a root canal treatment on December 12th and everything went very well without any complications. Was kept informed of the treatment's progress via screen photos in the office. I was very nervous about the whole thing and was kept assured by both the hygienist and dentist that everything was going well. It only took a bit longer than a regular filling procedure. (Approx. 1 hr from beginning to end) ... and there was not pain!!! Very happy about total outcome. Kudos to the team for keeping me comfortable and reassured throughout the process. Robert

This has been my dentist since I moved to Ottawa four years ago, and I absolutely love them. I always feel comfortable and that I'm in good hands. At my first appointment, I told Dr. Major about a bad experience I had with a dentist in which they didn't wait long enough for the numbing, and she's always been extra attentive to that part of any procedure we do. The receptionist and the rest of the staff are friendly and professional, and I couldn't recommend this centre more!!
