We see Dr. Nguyen and his crew since 1997. Our daughters, now grown up and living elsewhere, come to Ottawa for their dental appointments, as they cannot fathom an alternative. The team at Rideau Dental, from receptionist, to assistant, hygenist and doctor, saw us through good and bad, being part of their growing up (and our growing older) with all that this entails. However, it was by our choice that they became part of our lives. Our trust was earned and continuously validated time and time again.

All staff are extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. The reception staff are organized and never fail to remind me of my appointments. They also proactively call to remind me that if I did not book a future appointment, the last time I was in. This is very helpful for someone with a busy/fluctuating work schedule. Dr. Georgopoulos is fantastic to deal with. He has been my dentist since I was a child. He will always take the time to make sure his patients are comfortable, and understand the terminology that is being explained. When it was time for my wisdom teeth to come out, he also referred us to an excellent oral surgeon, which demonstrates that he truly cares for all of his patients, regardless of whether or not he is the one treating you. Great service altogether.

First and foremost, it should be noted that for a very long time, I was a severely nervous dental patient. Regardless of what doctor I had, I had an irrational fear of dentists. Rideau dental have an exceptional staff, with more experience and qualifications than you could possibly imagine. In the year I've been going to them, I've had a cavity filled, a number of cleanings, and some orthodontic work done. Each and every time, their staff are gentle, careful, and extremely understanding of my anxiety. Not only is the work they did second to none, but it genuinely took away my phobia of dentists. They gave me the confidence to actually smile in photos again, but they're always polite and respectful to patients. For people who are at all nervous patients when it comes to dental issues, I have never come across a better team. 5 stars is not enough.

I have been very pleased and impressed with Dr. Hollingdale. She is professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She's also cautious and deliberate, and did a great job when I needed a filling. I have some TMJ dysfunction and I can't open my jaws more than a few centimeters, but she still managed my case very well. I needed a small revision to the filling afterwards (it was a little bit high and rough) and she fit me in right away with no additional charge.

I'm done with this clinic - yet to have a really good experience in 2 years. They are constantly pushing for "extras" including additional x-rays. I've had several issues with them charging above guidelines (insurance won't cover) and now the new "PPE" fee is $18 !! If you were getting some kind of great experience maybe, but its not and I've been disappointed every time.

I’ve been struggling with a painful tooth for 4 years. Various treatments elsewhere. In a few visits Dr. Hollingdale addressed the problem, and fixed it. Amazing dentist. The hygienists, dentists, and reception staff are all amazing. I highly recommend!

Just called in over the phone to get some pretty generic information about porcelain inlays, and was told that none of the medical staff would speak to me unless I called in to book an appointment. I'm right at the begining of investigating this option as an alternative to fillings, and to be told I needed a consulation just to figure out if they're something I should even be looking at has really disuaded me from ever going to Rideau Dental Centre. The fact that no one there who knew about the procedure would take five minutes to explain it to a potential customer really speaks volumes about the kind of practice this is.

I was in Ottawa on October 19th election day and had broken a tooth while in Montreal two days before. The broken tooth had lacerated my tongue quite badly making eating a painful chore. As I wouldn't be home in Vancouver for another 5 days the prospect of trying to eat with a painful tongue was unbearable. I found the Rideau Dental Centre and it was just before 5 pm and they were closing. I asked if I could get in to have the tooth looked at and initially it didn't seem likely but when they asked the dentist Dr. Parry, he said he could see me right away. I was in the chair and he ground down the sharp tooth and I was on my way with no further ado. I finished my trip and my tongue healed pain free and I could enjoy my meals. I can't recommend this dentist highly enough!

I have been going to Rideau Dental Clinic for more than 20 years. My dentist is Dr. Bao Nguyen and he is excellent. He first helped with repairing my molars after I was grinding my teeth for years. With a nigh guard my grinding stopped. With some crooked teeth, I got braces at 53 years old and it was actually a pretty good experience (aside from all the usual discomfort that braces bring). I'm really happy with how my teeth turned out and I would recommend Dr. Bao Nguyen (and Rideau Dental Clinic) to anyone looking for a really good dentist with friendly and helpful staff.

This place just worry about money. I went there and I already set an appointment. Of course I'm under 18. I'm 16. The girl that set me an appointment doesn't tell me that I need to bring my guardian. Then the day I went to fix my tooth I filled the form for half an hour and the lady realized that I am an exchange. And she thought exchange don't have money. She told me that I am under 18 so I can't come alone; its a laws???? but then I found out later that 16 can go by ourself already. Just want to let you know that exchange aren't poor. I spent over 50,000 dollar to come here. Please change your opinion.

I had a dental emergency that they rescheduled my appointment three times. I had made the appointment two weeks in advance and was in a lot of pain. Frankly I'm extremely disappointed in their service. The attitude towards patients was take it or leave it with little problem solving on the part of the receptionist/dental team .

This place is a joke. My wife had pain in one tooth. They said she needed a simple filling but the whole time she needed a root canal. Cost us a good amount for the fillling witch was wasted due to a root canal two weeks later. I’d give this a minus five but I can’t. Then they did the root canal but booked her filling for another time because they have no openings. I’ve read the reviews and botched work seems to be up their alley. And the owner trying to justify every complaint is pathetic. Highway robbery is unjustifiable. Maybe just do the work properly next time

Dr Perron is the best. He's a personable, gentle, considerate and extremely-skilled dentist. I changed cities- any time a new dentist sees Dr Perron's amazing previous work - they literally stop dead and go on and on about how excellent his work is. And it is. I am not comfortable in a dental office; however, he literally made me feel better.

On holidays from Ireland my grandson had a Miss hap which resulted in him cutting his inner bottom lip.contacted dentist at 11pm he promptly said bring him to clinic.he stiched his inner lip and he is fine now. My wife and I have been going to the Rideau Dental Centre since we moved to the Ottawa area in 1995. I had not really been to the dentist for many years prior to going to the RDC and was extremely nervous. It was in 1997 (i believe) that I first met Dr. Bao Nguyen. Again, me being extremely nervous being in "the chair", Dr. Nguyen and Nadia (his dental assistant) made me feel comfortable and worked as gently as possible to ensure a positive patient experience while making sure to fix whatever problems I had with my teeth. I moved away from the Ottawa area in 2001 and continue to this day (July 2015) to make the trip to the RDC for all dental needs. Since I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen, we have had 3 kids and they all enjoy going and seeing him and Nadia. I have also had extremely positive experiences with extractions that I have had to have and routine cleanings. Andree has been doing my cleanings and I can say that she is caring and really ensures positive patient experiences that keep me coming back. And finally I cannot say enough about all the staff at the front desk. I am not going to try to name them all because I know I will inadvertently leave someone out and I don't want to do that. They are always friendly and courteous and make you feel like family. In short, I recommend Dr. Nguyen and the RDC staff for your dental needs because they truly care about their patients and their patients needs and ensure positive experiences each time. It had been a long time since I had visited a dentist. Unbelievable service from the woman who took the appointment (Janet, you're amazing). Genuinely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She was the only reason I took the chance. Dr. Nguyen (I don't see his name on the site, so hopefully I haven't killed the spelling) and Nadia exceeded expectations. Careful and calm they explained the state of my mouth (not good) put me at ease about what needed to be done and laid out a plan. I used to hate visiting the dentist. I'll be happy to keep going to Rideau dental for years. If my past dentist had ever come close to this, maybe I would have kept going.

Yesterday I had a filling done and I have to say, she and her assistant made me feel very at ease. I did not even feel the freezing at all when it was happening. My wife had her root canal done here around 5 years ago. It was taken out today because it cracked. The dentist said it was a tough extraction because both roots of the tooth were through the jaw bone. So they had to remove a piece of her jaw in order to extract the tooth. She gave birth 4 months ago and says the pain is worse then after she had our baby. Do not have a root canal done here.

My tooth still hurts even after multiple visits and spending over 2 grands, every time you call them that you are not comfortable with last treatment they will call you for examination and keep charging fee for consultation with no result.

When I was younger I went here to get my teeth cleaned. I felt like they didn’t do a good job. I thought “if the dentist can’t remove the stains on my teeth what’s the point of going to the dentist”. Years later I went to another clinic for a cleaning. They did a great job. It was then I realized that Rideau Centre Dental ripped me off and just didn’t do the cleaning I paid for. Recently I did a dental work at this wonderful dental office located in heart of Ottawa Rideau Centre. What a great and passionate team! I have received excellent dental care from Dr. Bao Nguyen, Nadia, and hygienists over many years. Due to COVID-19 worries I delayed making an appointment until November. The Rideau Dental Centre team, including front desk administrative staff, visibly demonstrated that my health and well-being were important to them. The pandemic safety protocols put in place are gold standards. I was likely safer at Rideau Dental Centre than a trip to the grocery store. I’m no longer worried about scheduling an appointment during the pandemic should I need one.

I know all dentists are money hungry, but this is the worse I've seen in my 35 years on this earth! 632$ with no cleaning...who visits a dentist to only have x-rays done and leave???? First and last time I will be ripped off...of course recommended orthodontics for my son and a custom mouth guard for me....all about the money, screw customers and offering a decent service.

I was scheduled for a root canal with my original dentist in Kanata this coming Tuesday, but my tooth was hurting badly so I initially called my dentist to see if he can look at it today, but unfortunately he was unavailable and overbooked which I completely understand. (It was my fault for rescheduling/delaying it this long due to my vacation earlier) However, my tooth was hurting to the point that it needed attention, and a colleague friend of mine suggested I call the Rideau Dental Centre since it was close to where we work and that's where she goes to. Lisa, the receptionist was nice to take my call and was able to fit me in their schedule. Elaine kindly assisted me to see Dr. Lui and he was able to prescribe me antibiotics that would make the pain go away and also get me ready for my next appointment with my dentist to perform the root canal. (The tooth pain is now gone as I'm writing this!) The funny thing is I found out that Dr. Lui is the cousin of my Dentist, Dr. Lau in Kanata. Small world! Not surprise though, as both are very knowledgeable, patient, and pleasant to talk to. Thank you again, Rideau Dental Centre!
