I've never liked going to the dentist (ever, and needles as well)....and I'm sure most people are!! From the time I made my first appointment (just to investigate my problem) I was nervous....but when I walked in the office for the "first time" I was greeted with a very pleasant and calm welcoming as well as a big smile.... which helped keep my anxiety at bay....as for the dentist and work, I'm very happy to say that when I my extraction done, I can "honestly" say I had very minimal pain from his work. Where do I even start! The best dental experience I've had! I am so appreciative to Dr. Samer Nuwwareh and Olga and the whole team. I was experiencing a lot of anxiety around my teeth as I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years due to insurance and covid. If you have dental anxiety, definitely let them know right from the start! Plus you can play your own music which helps. In every step of the process of the exam, cleaning and getting cavities filled, they were very communicative and checked in with me often. I felt like I understood the reason for each procedure and for the first time at a dentist felt in the loop the whole time. Friendly, kind and they've got great teamwork! I have to get a root canal redone (which sucks) but Dr. Samer referred me to someone he went to himself which made me feel confident in their skills. If you're reading these reviews having put off going to the dentist, the sooner you go the better. If it's finances you're concerned about, they let me finance my last couple cavities! I sound like an ad in this lol but I was so worried and now that I'm on the other side I feel really good!

They had me back in immediately and I was okay, so we started on a long-awaited crown. The dentist and staff are gentle and kind, and as a bonus direct-billed my insurer. It was my best experience ever going to get my pain go away....???? I used to be afraid to go to see a dentist and I leave with bad experience either form the Dr. Or the assistant because of there lack of handling patient like me who has sensitive issues when someone starts working with my teeth...any how with Dr samer I had no problem at all even I never felt that he is don with me until he asks me to get up from the chair and saying we are done...i was so amazed with that couldn't believe that from my experience the Dr who worked in my teeth inside my mouth open untill he is don never felt uncomfortable at all thank you Doc to you and to your assistant for create job ....even though I am so difficult and hard to deal with me when comes to Teeth....????????????

One of the things I like best about Albert Street dentistry is the punctuality of all the staff including the dentist himself. I have never had to wait past my appointment time. This is such a treat in this day and age. The team is professional and friendly, and never try to ‘upsell’. I am an international student so finding a good dentist with reasonable prices was complicated. I have come with the doctor for cavity fillings, cleaning, wisdom tooth removal, etc. So far, each procedure has gone excellent. Everyone is friendly and cordial, and the place is always spotless. I had a very bad experience with In this clinic beginning from the receptionist she is not welcoming at all and doesn’t treat the patient in a good way they scammed me and when i asked for my money back and some clarification the receptionist replied to me I am rude because i asked about my right i called the clinic and asked her I want to talk with the Dr. She said Dr will not talk to you i told her ill put what happened here as reviews she told me pls pls do it we don’t care! After having terrible experiences at previous dentists and having bad dental phobia, finding Albert Street Dentistry has been a blessing. They have provided by far, the best dentist experience I have ever had. Dr. Samer and his assistant Olga were very understanding of my anxiety and were very reassuring of all my concerns, such as pain during procedure, financial planning for the treatment, future dental needs etc. The receptionist (I didn't catch her name unfortunely) was incredibly kind as well! Having a root canal, I was very concerned about pain during procedure and controlling my anxiety, but they made sure I was comfortable the entire time. A very stressful issue for me turned into a great relief. I am so very thankful I chose Albert Street Dentistry, and I can happily say I can look forward to seeing Dr. Samer and his team in the future!

I met Dr Samer Nuwwareh when I was about to move my file to another practice. I had allowed attention to my dental health to lapse because of indifferent experiences when John Izzard had to retire. I was tremendously impressed with Samer, his training, his background and his international academic credentials. He very confidently assessed my problems, suggested a treatment plan and after my third appointment in the last six weeks I can attest that he is both a highly-skilled practitioner, masterful at eliminating pain and very good with nervous patients. I could not recommend Albert St Dental more highly! I had moved to Ottawa recently from Toronto and saw them to be a new dentist, they were kind and very accommodating. About 2 weeks after I saw them I developed a gum infection around a wisdom tooth - they saw me the same day and were extremely helpful. They offered to do my wisdom teeth removal only a few days later - but in no way made me feel pressured. I had initially wanted to see a dental surgeon as I am very cautious/anxious and slightly older to have your wisdom teeth out. The procedure was done under local anesthetic and could not have gone better! They spent lots of time talking me through it and making sure I was ok. I initially didnt want it under local (wanted to be put to sleep) - but it was WAY better under local because I just walked myself home and continued on with my day without assistance. Dr. Sammer and Olga obviously care so genuinely about what they do and it shows. He doesnt double book appointments so he is ready for you when you get there. He is up to date on the latest technologies or methods to help. I was also anxious before the procedure and the secretary was so patient and calming to me when I called her numerous times before the procedure. And to top it off - they told me if I had any complications (even over the weekend) to email them and they would get back to me - how amazing is it! Overall - would 15/10 recommend Albert Street Dental!

With the recent change of ownership and the fact that I retired, I was going to take the opportunity to move to a dentist near my home. Then I have an appointment with Dr. Samer Nuwwareh and I was really impressed. He is very good and is introducing some new/ relevant technology to his office. And he is a very nice man to boot! So I'm not moving despite the drive downtown for me!!!

I recently switched and needed some cavities filled. I won’t say it was “enjoyable” but it certainly wasn’t bad considering the circumstance! The dentist was in and out quickly and continually confirmed that I was okay during the process. I would definitely recommend going here, especially if you’re a nervous patient like I am. I don’t enjoy needles or hands in my mouth, and I’ll say that I was pretty scared before he began drilling but that quickly subsided. Especially since they let you listen to your own music and I found that relaxed me a lot. One of the best dental experiences I’ve had in my 30 years of life. Kudos to the entire team too, the receptionist is very warm and welcoming. :)

Doctor Samir is an amazing dental surgeon. He just completed a complicated extraction of one of my molars that had roots that extended into the sinus cavity. A sinus lift and bone graft were required as I will be replacing the tooth with an implant. It was also necessary to remove an attached bridge and crown during this procedure. This 3 1/2 hour operation was done by Doctor Samir and his dental assistant with a minimum of discomfort. I was reassured the entire time and given a full explanation of what was to be done and why. Doctor Samir provided me with a list of instructions to follow in the days after the procedure. He followed up the day after the surgery to see how I was doing. My recovery from this surgery has been almost painless. I believe the slow and methodical way the surgery was performed resulted in the least amount of trauma to the surgery area. I highly recommend Doctor Samir and his team for any dental work that you need to have done.

I have had pretty bad experiences with dentists before and I was hesitant to try another one but I am very glad that I went to this office. Dr.Samer is very informative and lets you know exactly what he will be doing and how you might feel, he lets you choose a playlist on Spotify to play out loud to help relax. Can't praise Dr Nuwwareh highly enough. I cracked a tooth, and was in extreme pain. Eating any food was very painful. I made an appointment with my (former) dentist. While I arrived on time, it took over an hour for him dentist to see me, and take xrays. I was told that I need a root canal, and was told to go home, and wait 10 days for the earliest time he could see me. When I asked about the pain I was having, I was told that I should pop some Advils. In desperation, I started looking for other dentists, who could see me sooner. It was my luck, that I called Albert Street Dentistry. Natalie, receptionist at the clinic, was very kind and sympathetic, and agreed to inquire with Dr Nuwwareh, if he would be able to see me. I was lucky a second time, because Dr Nuwwareh agreed to see me the same day, and he, and his assistant, Olga, spent almost two hours dealing with the crack, root canal of 4 roots of my tooth, and put in a temporary crown. During the procedure, Dr Nuwwareh was very kind and patient with me, and took the time to explain to me what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what my options were with respect to saving the tooth. He also took care to take another Xray before putting in a filling, to check, that he got all of the root (I have very long roots - 24mm long). After root canal was done, and a temporary filling was in place, Dr Nuwwareh cautioned me, that I might need some Advil, as some of the cartilage in the jaw was moved during the root canal procedure. However, he was so skilled, that once the freezing of the jaw wore out, I did not need any pain killers. Furthermore, I was extremely surprised and grateful, that following day Dr Nuwwareh took the time to call me, and ask me how I was doing. I am doing much much better, then I was when I had a crack in my tooth. Thank you, Dr Nuwwareh! Having chance to experience the difference in patient care, I will be coming back for regular dentistry to you from now on.

I visited Albert Street Dentistry for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say it was a great experience. Dr. Samer is very professional, knowledgeable and treats patients with care. I love the fact that he takes the time to explain the case in detail with the possible treatment options and the downsides of each. Dental hygienist Zeynep did amazing and diligent work. Huge shout out to the administrative staff (Natalie and Angel), they were tremendous help with arranging multiple appointments on short-notice even with my hectic schedule. Natalie went above and beyond to help with an issue with the insurance provider and tracked them down for over a week to fix the problem. Thank you so much Natalie ! This is my go-to dental clinic in Ottawa from now on.
