This office knows what it means when it comes to making you feel comfortable and cared for. I had extractions from this dentist almost 3 years ago I was given gas to help the pain Dentist didn't wait 30 seconds after putting the mask on before ripping my teeth out . I was spitting pieces of tooth out for a year . I reported him to the college of Dentist after almost 2 years of investigation the case was closed Not enough evidence To this day I Still have problems with a flap that was supposed to cover a hole . Flap never took Now I have a hole and a piece of skin flapping in my mouth . I have had dental work done by many dentist prior This is the worst experience and disrespect by staff I ever experienced . I don't recommend this dentist in anyway

Dr. Bell is the BEST Dentist I’ve ever been to! I don’t give many reviews but was compelled to after my visit here, because he and the dental hygienist made my experience the best one EVER and I’ve been going to dentists for over 40 years. Dr.Bell is an extremely kind, compassionate and highly knowledgeable dentist. He puts your mind and fear of dentists at ease, I went here last night for an emergency appointment to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted and the experience was quick and pain free, PLUS he plays great music (bonus!) He also has a wonderful sense of humour that makes you forget you’re even at the dentist! His hygienist is also very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable as well. She puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable. In fact, ALL of the staff are the kindest, most accommodating staff I’ve ever had in a medical office. The receptionist was so welcoming, polite and helpful. She got me in for an appointment immediately and also put me at ease. I HIGHLY recommend this dental office if you have even the slightest anxiety about dentists. Thank you Dr. Bell and staff for making this experience a great one! I honestly am very thankful to all of you!

Receptionists can use some manners in phone and in person lessons. Instead of giving me an available appointment time I was asked if we have insurance. Patients are won with good dental work & front desk staff personality. Reluctant to book another visit because of that attitude and lack of interpersonal skills. Some of the chairs look like they should have been replaced a few years ago, and the waiting area is awkward and uncomfortable. The late weekday hours are attractive, but again the attitude on the phone is a tremendous turn off.

I started my braces journey here and I honestly wish I hadn’t. The orthodontist is very nice; however, they are never on time for appointments. I usually get brought in about 30 mins after my scheduled appointment time and it’s just difficult to schedule around when you work etc. Unfortunately you can’t just easily switch orthodontist offices or else I would. The office staff are also not the greatest :/

The staff is always so kind, helpful, and the dentists/hygienists are very welcoming and truly care for your well-being. I’ve came for cleanings and fillings which were all quick and painless! I feel safe visiting even during covid since they take their measures seriously. Highly recommend to anyone:)

Every time I have been has always been an amazing experience, amazing receptionists as well as amazing dentists. I have nothing negative to say. I broke my jaw two months ago and was referred to Mount Sinai hospital to see an oral surgeon by the ER at Lakeridge health. I still haven't been given an appointment yet so I decided to call some local dental offices. Oshawa dental was the only place that agreed to see me for an assessment. I seriously called like every place between Pickering and Bowmanville, everyone else just advised me to wait for Mount Sinai to call me. Oshawa dental booked me an appointment within a week of my call and Dr Patel was extremely helpful. He did some x-rays and referred me to a local oral surgeon. He took the time to listen to my questions and concerns and made me feel much better about my issue. The receptionist was so nice too, she even booked my appointment for me at the oral surgeon's clinic when she called for the referral. Thanks so much for your excellent service!!

I came in for a root canal which cost over 800 dollars and while the staff was friendly enough the job on my mouth has left me traumatized and embarrassed. They were having a hard time finding the tools and materials needed. They allowed a student from Durham college to assist and at one point the dentist told her she hasn't even turned the on the light on the machine to seal it so she had to do it again. I had also moved the slightest bit which she said she "hopes it all stayed in there". Shouldn't you check??? I went home and within a week the filling was breaking off. When I went in to have this corrected they assured me it wouldn't cost me anything. The dentist kept saying she was having trouble getting the filling to stick. She hadn't cleaned the tooth or removed any debris or plaque to ensure it would. She just went to town. The filling she put in my mouth that time was horrendous. It was so small I could still stick my tongue up that canine tooth between the other one. They tried to Bill me 50 dollars for that visit but I told them I already said I could not pay for this visit so I didn't end up paying the fee. A few weeks later and last night the entire filling came out eating ice cream. I don't have to coverage or the money for a crown. I feel like this place destroyed my trust in dentists and also ruined my confidence. I won't smile if this tooth comes out. So completely disappointed and angry at this.

These are by far the best most caring people my poor teeth have ever had to deal with. They care. They took the time to explain what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. The hygienist are all very good and make me feel that I don’t even need a cleaning every six months because they stay so clean! Started going to university here in Oshawa and since I had insurance I decided to go to the nearest dental place I thought was good in the area. And I am so glad I went here. The xray and examination were done swiftly. Was given prescription for my gum infection and was scheduled for wisdom teeth removal. The price for getting all 4 removed was so much cheaper than in Toronto. Dr. Vahidreza was the one who did the extraction and it went better than I ever expected. Everyone in the office is so nice. Sorry for crashing into the painting after my surgery ???? But really, they constantly checked to make sure I wasn't in any pain during surgery and I hardly felt a thing most of the time. Will be coming back for all my dental needs.

I've had to go back 3 times now to Dr.Friedman for a tiny filling in my two front teeth. There's been jagged ends and lack of attention paid to fine detail in every trip, always feel like I'm being rushed out of their office when all I want is my teeth filled properly. Friendly staff, but maybe not the type of professional I want working on my teeth.

I felt extremely uncomfortable in this dentist office but my mouth was killing me and I needed the tooth gone, I got my tooth pulled and 2 weeks later went back because there was sharp stuff poking out of my gums, he took out the pieces and felt around and said I THINK I GOT IT ALL , 4 years later im to find out I've had an infection in my gums the whole time and have roots left, which now I have to get a bone marrow done and them taken out, $1,500 later, if you feel uncomfortable here, please go somewhere else and listen to your instincts.

I have moved my whole family to this location because they are very accomodating to an emergency situation that arose in my case (filling broke loose) and they were immediately available to help! My 8 year old enjoyed his visit too. He said his hygienist was very friendly and warm and didnt hurt him in his cleaning.

I've been coming here for about 20 years now, they are capable and friendly (a couple small exceptions but not worth the negative reviews) Dr. Bell is amazing and fun to see, I think people in general have a hard time telling the difference between what is beyond their control and doing a bad job, if you have dental problems these trained professionals do their best to correct it, but sometimes problems are more complicated than originally thought, it doesn't make them bad at their job. Although I'm sure some complaints here have some merit many of the negative reviews I read are people being self centered and angry, but I can assure you they are capable and there is a reason I have kept seeing them

I have a dental emergency and need a dentist right now. Viewed their website.and was relieved when I saw that dental emergency were accommodated immediately. Called to give my information and was going to head over. Receptionist said she has never herd of that before. But they do take emergency but not immediately. Lol what a joke this place is. Next day... got an email... replied that I needed a dentist asap and the called me. I'm on my way there now. I shall see how it goes. Hopefully changing my rating to a 5 star!!!

I have been going to Osahawa Center Dental for over 20 years now and couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of their work. Great cleanings and the best dentist I have ever had. I had a crown and a tender filling done yesterday by Dr Freeman. He is so good you dont even feel the needle for freezing. If you have a fear of the dentist like I used to then go there and you will be glad you did. Fear gone.

I had a wisdom teeth appointment booked in advanced. I found out I was pregnant the day prior to my appointment, at this dental office you have to pay $150 for cancelling your appointment (never heard of that before) went to the appointment anyways and told them my newly found out news due to not wanting to cancel and have to pay so I came in to see what could be done anyways. The receptionists where quite rude on the phone when I initially made my appointment and felt like I'd be treated better in person. I was wrong. The dental hygienist (super nice lady) asked me to sign a waiver before they did any work, I didn't sign due to my recently found out pregnancy and also the dentist not being a ENT specialist. A receptionist and dentist yelled at me saying how I can't cancel and how he has the proper credentials and bla-bla-bla might be obligated to pay. They yelled at me in a narrow hallway for 15 before letting me leave. Paying would have sucked but wouldn't have been a problem, but you firstly should never yell at a patient especially one with anxiety. I will never. ever. go to this office again. Over all an awful experience. Extremely unprofessional. Although there is a very nice female dentist in that office who I had in past for a dental cleaning and that wasn't a bad experience at all.

First of all I’m terrified of going to a dentist.. when I was a kid I had nothing but horrific experiences! So I don’t go often and I NEED gas! So anyways I had a broken molar and a broken front tooth, which made me not want to talk or smile ever, at all! I needed to fix it so I went to my dads dentist which is this one, Oshawa centre dental, you listen to your parents lol! The staff at the front are very polite and nice and helpful, I appreciate that because that’s always your first impression of anywhere.. So I was seeing Dr Bell for the molar to have a root canal and filling, I was so scared and forced myself there and had the gas during the procedure. He was very kind and gentle and funny! As was his assistant, which made me feel okay about being there. So that was done, cost lots of money almost all my benefits and then a few hundred more! But I still needed this front tooth done, so the very generous and kind Dr Bell said to come back and have it done, he will give me an offer I can’t refuse lol! But gas is extra and it’s not cheap.. and I thought you know what.. he along with the whole staff I met, made me feel super comfortable and confident so I said no gas for this visit. I was terrified and almost didn’t go. But I did and I’m very happy I went! Again greeted kindly and treated with so much care and kindness. The whole process was a breeze I couldn’t believe I just had work done without the gas! I was sooo happy with how amazing this Dr is, he made my front teeth look normal and better than they have ever, I did cry because I’ve been covering my mouth and not talking or smiling as much as possible for so long, and now I don’t have to do that. So if you need any dental work you will receive only the best here, I promise.. I will actually go back every 6months for check ups and cleanings and I have never done that. And I won’t get gas! That has to say a lot! Thank you to all the staff and the nice woman who cleaned my teeth I can’t remember her name, but she was also gentle, kind, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time!

The dentist was incredibly terrible & scared me. I went to this dental place as an emergency patient. Dentist said I need a root canal, gave me the freezing to do the procedure, then changed his mind. Prescribed me painkillers & no antibiotics & told me to use my night-guard. Kept giving me long winded “explanations” & knocking on my sore teeth repeatedly with his dental tool. And said to see him on Monday at another dental office if I’m still in pain then. I am in extreme pain & can still feel everything even with the pain killer I took & have an appointment booked at a reputable dentist office. Otherwise the staff was friendly & sweet. I do not recommend this dentist office at all, I’m cringing just thinking about it.

Came here for the first time for my second wisdom tooth extraction and my sister came for hers as well. . My tooth socket is healing perfectly. . Not my sisters though.. and we both have saver swelling of the face from the doctor just jamming needles in our faces for repeated numbing... we've always had to have extra Cas it wears off quickly for us.. this was not our first extraction.. we have never swollen to much or been in this much pain... the nurse even refused my sister the meds the doctor told her she needed which left her pain running 3 weeks.. and one of the nerves attaching to my nostril was struck leaving it partially gimpy.. we will not be returning to this office.. to make things worse one of the front ladies tried to scare me off before the procedure saying she'd refuse me on the date of my appointment and argued wether or not I had coverage which she knew I did because she had my paperwork for the month before.. went outside and cried thinking I'd be stuck with a bad painful tooth..

Amazing people. They made me feel comfortable, they take the extra steps needed to do so. Previous dentists ive had just seemed to want to get the job done and off to the next patient, no desire to make my visit a pleasant one, these guys treat you like a human being. Answered any and all questions and even did a run down of exactly what they were doing to keep my anxiety down. Amazing, AMAZING dentists. Worst dentist I have ever been to. Run run run!!! Went in for minor fillings, everywhere dr smochko touched I now have nerve and sensitivity pain from minor fillings. This is unacceptable and completely abnormal. I can't chew on the side of my mouth where I got the filling, I also have pain on every filling she did at my gum line. Went back told dr smochko of my pain and she said everything is fine. She does not know what she is doing and should not be trusted as a dentist or be allowed to practice. She ruined my mouth I had no pain prior to my dreadful visit now I have pain and sensitivity everywhere she touched. The staff are miserable the office looks horrible boxes all over the floor, equipment is 30 years old. I am scared I hope things were sanitary after seeing how the care is sub standard. The office manager doesn't care at all she took my money and they ruined my mouth.She is completely unprofessional, rude and said she doesn't have the time to explain things to me when I asked what was done to my mouth. Sub standard care is fine with her. I will NEVER go back there even if you paid me to! Do not trust these incapable, unprofessional people. This office is a very weird, odd, gross place. Carma.

When I went to this office in person to make an appointment for the first time, the lady which engaged me at the desk was extremely pleasant and kind. However, when I received a call yesterday from one of the secretaries, she was quite rude and very condemning to the fact that I could not make it to my appointment the following day, due to complications in my life that had arose. I acknowledged that I was giving short notice-they were closed the previous day - and she made sure to establish that I should have let a voicemail for the office. I'm not sure what her incentive was in her judgemental response (i spoke with her in the morning, when, I presume, they would have listened to the message) but I definitely will not be returning here because of it. I requested that they remove me from the roster. I will also be ensuring that my parents will not be visiting this dental office for their own treatment due to this exchange. I'm sure the dentist theirself is a good doctor, however the image put forth by the secretary left a very sour taste in my mouth.

All reception staff are friendly and welcoming and good at their prospective jobs. Therapists who do dental cleanings are also excellent. Dr Bell, my dentist is the best dentist I' ve ever had in 60 years of dental visits to numerous dentists over the years. His kindness, compassion, humanity and skill make him exceptional and one of a kind. He is now my forever dentist and worth the trip if you don't live nearby.

My husband was diagnosed with ALS in June 2020. As a result, I have not been paying a lot of attention to other things going on around me. On February 8th of 2021 on my way home from Sunnybrook Hospital, I received a phone call from the dentist office to inform me (quite rudely) that I owed an outstanding balance from September 2020. I was surprised as I had been with them for years and our insurance had always been billed directly. When I was home, I checked my records and found out that I had indeed been paid by my insurance for not only a September appointment but also my appointment on February 6, 2021. I called the office the very next day and transferred the money owed. I asked how this could have happened and was informed that someone at their office had made the change in error. I was assured that it would be fixed. During my appointment on the 6th of February I mentioned that my husband had become non verbal so could they please put on his record to call me with any questions and not him. Assured that this would happen, but not sure after the billing mix up I reiterated on Monday February 8th during my phone conversation to call only me and not my husband since he was now non verbal. Again on Tuesday February 9th when I paid the outstanding bill, I asked them to check my instructions were posted in my husband’s and my chart. I was assured everything was done. On Saturday, February 13, 2021 I received a statement of account that had been sent out on February 8, 2021 (the day they notified me about the billing issue) with a note threatening me with collections if I did not contact them immediately. On Thursday February 18, 2021, the office called my husband to reschedule his upcoming appointment. Since he could not talk to them (again NON VERBAL) he sent me a panic text to call the dental office. I decided to ask to speak with the office manager to get this all sorted once and for all. I questioned her about the collections threat I had received from them and she told me there was no way I received that from their office, I told her I could scan it and send it to her but she just kept repeating that they did not send anything to me...then I questioned her about why they were calling my husband when the records reflected that they should be calling me....she said due to privacy laws they couldn’t talk to me. I asked her why no one had said that to me before and she just kept saying privacy laws! I advised her that I guess his appointment would not get rescheduled since he is NON VERBAL and all of a sudden privacy laws didn’t matter and she was able to talk to me.....I advised her neither one of us would be returning to her office. Just so you can see for yourselves I have attached the statement I did not receive from their office!

Great staff and prompt with your appointment time and they do direct billing. During these times of Covid you can be sure that everything they do is hygienic, sanitized and clean and they make you feel comfortable during what can be a tense experience for some people.
