I am giving the practice 5 stars but am adding what I feel is an important caveat. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr.Banerjee. She is warm, compassionate and has gone out of her way to help me when my dental insurance was coming temporarily to an end. I sadly cannot say the same thing for her associate Dr. Silber who not only always feels very rushed but actually made me feel very humiliated on my last visit. I know I don't have "good" teeth but to have that pointed out to you in what I feel was a condescending manner was very humiliating. I also mentioned I was experiencing pain in a molar and told it would be difficult to fix?? This does not leave me feeling very reassured. I also feel references were made to my financial situation that did not need to be said ( I'm not sure about your situation") All this in a two minute interaction. I've taken steps to ensure I only visit with Dr.Banerjee in the future as I have noticed you can be interchanged between the two.

These guys are not orthodontics and therefore shouldn't be advising people on invisalign. They told me I wasn't a candidate and referred me for surgery!!!!! I went to a legit clinic and I got invisalign and am very happy with the results - surgery didn't even come up the conversation!

Update: I've been going there for almost, if not, two years now and their service is consistently top notch. Can't ask for better care, they are the best :) -- One of the only dental clinics that truly care about the well being of their patients. A place where the dentists listen and give proper advice. My dentist in particular has helped me through so much in the last 2 months. I'm so glad I found this place and met my Dentist.

Poor experience! Spent over $10,000+ in this dental office as it's in a good location. However, the dentist did jobs without notifying how much it would cost. Well, you can't imagine they still charged for every steps the dentist did for a big project which we had agreed on a total amount. Example: They charged by chipping your teeth without telling you it costs $75 per each before doing it. And the only option we had at the end was either pay for the agreed for free x-rays or this stupid chipping fee. The dentist also disagreed if we wanted to pay in a 12 months term given it's provided from the website. They tried every effort to make us pay in a 6 months term. However, regardless of the greedy dentist, the hygienists are professional and helpful, and the office manager is nice too. Finally, if you have 100% unlimited dental cover benefit, go here! Or I won't recommend given this high fee and non-customer oriented services.

I visit this location on a regular basis for scaling and routine visits. They provide good services. I would rate 4-5 star. However, I have had a terrible experience removing my wisdom teeth. 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once without antibiotics until Day 6 post-op, when an infection has been finally confirmed. The antibiotics was given too late. The infection eventually developed into a deep neck infection (paraphanryngeal abcess, 2cm). I suffered significant pain in my throat (Advil not working anymore), difficulty swallowing and talking, was taken to ER, hospitalized, been put on IV for 3 full days, had another surgery under general anesthesia with airway management. I understand that there are risks associated with wisdom teeth extraction, and in this case, things went unluckily wrong. Seeking other dentists for help/meeting the other oral surgeon for I&D, I could see there are rooms for improvements and perhaps ways to avoid the incidence, had they provide care more promptly and pay attention to details. This experience itself is well worth a 1 star.

My initial experience with the dentist was very positive. I had 3 appointments/visits to this location. The second appointment was not pleasant. There was, it seemed a new dental assistant/trainee and they were not meeting the needs of the dentist. It was quite uncomfortable to be in the middle of this with my mouth wide open. It felt as if I were at a dental school and I was the guinea pig/victim. Had there been a significant discount in the amount I paid, it would have been more tolerable. But as it seemed I was paying full price, it was not a good experience. The third appointment was slightly better than my second. Another dental assistant. This time, this assistant was a bit more clued in on what the dentist needed, but, still a trainee, so there wasn't a smooth flow of work. The dentist often had to correct and/or instruct the trainee. Again, I felt like there should have been a discount for being in what felt like a dental school.

They listened to my dental concerns and questions, replying with honest answers and techniques for me to try. Dr. B took time to explain my situation and worked diligently until it was completed, never rushing through my mouth. Talk about garbage customer service. My wife had a filling last month. She was told at the time NOT to pay immediately, because they were going to speak to management about a discount. She got a call about an outstanding balance 10 days ago - first notice of what was owed. She told them we would be looking into whether it was covered by insurance and would get back to them asap. 5 days ago they threatened to send it to collections - 5 days after we got the invoice.... so then we got a call this morning and started by saying pleasantly but quite clearly that we are happy to pay over the phone as long as we get a receipt for insurance reimbursement. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude, spoke over my wife, and told me her she was rude and inconsiderate for not paying the doctor on time. Again, this is 10 days after the invoice, and we were trying to find out if our insurance covered it. Of course we are willing and able to pay, and 10 days is more than reasonable since the invoice says payment must be within 30 days. This place must be really hard up for cash to come at customers with that kind of attitude. I recommend you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where they treat customers with respect. I'd rather let my teeth rot and fall out than give any business to these jerks. EDIT - I have also since learned that they overbilled, billing us for services that were not actually rendered, and so we are considering putting a complaint into the college of dentists, the regulating body, to investigate the practices of this clinic.

Nothing is simple when it comes to health care during this pandemic but going back to see my dentist Dr. Deb Banerjee at Altima FCP was reassuring that professional standards and care do not have to suffer because of Covid 19. The clinic is set up with all safety standards and precaution necessary and possible. Over a period of almost 4 weeks with multiple visits for treatment I witnessed over and over again that every employee is following the safety protocol 100% while still maintaining kindness. Dr. Banerjee and her assistant Annabelle display their usual calm and focus and make a visit as normal as can be. I have the deepest appreciation and gratitude for all of them at Altima (including my Dental Hygienist Allison)! They are committed and awesome as ever!

I went to this place barely a week ago, and everything looked normal and exceptional except the dentist behavior. She did not even introduce herself despite the fact that I was meeting her for the first time and for some reason she did not explain to me what the x-rays findings were. She ignored my questions citing being late to attend to another patient. she quickly asked me to leave and called another staff to discuss on one issue she found with one of teeth and she ignored the other most pressing problems. The way she was moving her gloved fingers in my mouth was very unprofessional and I felt nauseated. It was not a good experience, the cleaning was basic, citing time factor and I would not recommend anyone to that place ever. I hope the dentist improves on this. She better learns to take a deep breath, when faced with stressful issues such as time and another patient waiting, to introduce herself to clients and not use medical jargons that the client does not understand. She should know that the client deserves to know what those terminologies mean.

I found Altima through my studentcare network, as I was told I could directly be covered and receive a student discount. And although I appreciate Altima's prompt reminders and attempts to improve services, my experience going there as a student paying on my own was extremely unfavorable. To note, nothing I had done was cosmetic. Most unfortunately, I was never told how much each part of the process would cost beforehand, and when I got initial cost estimates, they were significantly off, costing me hundreds more. My initial dentist quit working there after two appointments and I was assigned another for my remaining procedures. There were hidden fees, despite being told an operation would be free of charge. Additionally, I was never able to get direct coverage through my school plan either, although it had worked whenever I manually submit claims. It is understandable that dentistry is a business, but I easily felt like a client rather than a patient. All services provided were great and the dentists were quite friendly and efficient, but I personally regret choosing Altima due to my lack of benefits and I thought I should share my experience of the past couple months. Honestly, If you're under a student plan or paying on your own, I would opt for a place that is more upfront about costs.

I have been going to my dentist and the hygienist here for 20 years, they provide really great, friendly service and I have had no complaints. Price-wise they charge more than others (especially those in the suburbs) which can be difficult if you have no insurance. Dr. Silbur and Allison make a great tag team of dentist and hygienist.
