I am thoroughly impressed by my experiences to date at Elements Dental. From my first visit I felt cared for and in good hands. I am a firm believer that the support and reception staff at any dental office are a big part of how you feel about being there. Nara, their receptionist was just great. Put me at ease immediately with her big smile and a competent and caring demeanor. I felt myself relax and much more at ease as I sat down, waiting to see the dentist. Next stop, my first appointment with Dr. Hilary Linton. To say I was impressed by her compassionate and welcoming attitude is putting it mildly. I've had a couple of really good dentists through the years (and several bad ones????) but no one better than Dr. Linton.???? I was VERY nervous coming for my first appointment after a bad experience at another dental clinic in Victoria several months before. Dr. Linton put me at ease immediately and REALLY listened to my concerns and also regarding the prior experience that had affected me so negatively with that other Victoria dentist. She is not only very easy to talk to, she is a gentle and competent dentist who made the extraction I required not nearly as bad as expected. I have other work to get done and feel good about returning to Dr. Linton in the near future to get back on track with my overall dental needs. Finding the right dentist is like finding gold imo. I feel so fortunate that I found Dr. Linton, she is 5 stars all the way! All the staff I have interacted with at Elements to date have been pleasant,competent and professional including Dr. Linton's assistant, Kaitlyn and Maria, their office manager. It all adds up to a top notch clinic that I highly recommend.???? For now, I can't comment on the hygienists, as I still need a cleaning but will update if there are any issues in that regard. I've also been to some very good and some bad hygienists through the years so hopefully this will also be a positive experience at Elements Dental.

Went to visit these guys, told me everything was going to be covered by my insurance, left and though nothing of it 2 years later find out that I wasn't covered by my insurance and instead of sending me the bill sent it to collections which is not effecting whether or not I can buy a house. I read the postive reviews and trusted the diagnosis from the doctor. He diagnosed an infected tooth in my 7 year old that he said needed to be removed and recommended a spacer (this was a baby tooth). While waiting for the next visit, my daughter's tooth started to get loose. The doctor said it was because of the infection. A new tooth broke through only 10 days the after the tooth was removed and the spacer put in. The diagnosis was totally wrong and the procedure unneeded. This was an extremely costly mistake and costs my daughter unnecessary discomfort. An x-ray was taken so it is hard to understand how he couldn't see the new tooth pushing the other tooth out... We contacted Dr Chow and set an appointment. He honoured his promise and removed the spacer and refunded the full treatment involved. His service was excellent and he was very honest. Talking about the situation he found the reason he didn't see the growing tooth is because there was a lapse of 4-5 months between the x-r and the visit for the tooth extraction.

Dr. Russu is fantastic!! I highly, highly reccomend her. She was very patient as I fretted over my gum being pinched, and didnt hesitate to give me another numbing shot when I was working myself up with worry! I was still a bit numb the next day :,) 5 stars for her! She doesn't work Monday to Friday, but she is definitely worth the wait. She even patted my shoulder when I was noticeably upset with the sharp pokes to my mouth! ????????????????????

Last January I went to have a cavity filled at a different dental practice. The cavity unfortunately needed a root canal after. I had three 1.5-2 hour root canal appointments with the other dental practice until they informed me that my tooth should have been done by a specialist, as it had a complicated root. The appointments were exceptionally painful, long, stressful, and spaced out over several months. All in all I ended up having 9 total appointments at the previous practice, some for work, some for assessment. By the end of the 9th appointment it was frustrating to hear that they shouldn’t have treated me in the first place, and at this point they had actually caused some damage making it harder to treat. The root canal was supposed to be covered by my plan, but the referral to an endodontist was going to be about 2000$. I decided to call around and see if I was able to find another practice that would be able to treat me. The reception team and Elements Dental was lovely, and Dr. Chow was AMAZING! He was quick, the procedure was painless, and I appreciated that he explained what was happening. I felt very nervous going into the appointment, and at ease after Dr. Chow started working. Going to Dr. Chow saved me my tooth and 2000$! Thank you so much, Dr. Chow!

I found Dr. Chow work to be of the highest stardard and I feel so lucky to be his patient. I needed extensive work done and I was very anxious about it. At the very first consultation Dr. Chow listened to all my worries and hesitations and he went through the different options and procedures with a calmness, kindness and professionalism that made me feel I could totally trust him. If I could give this experience 0 stars, I would. I went to this dental office after experiencing a bit of sensitivity in one of my front teeth when drinking cold water. My examination was performed by Dr. Kim and his assistant, and it was determined that I "most probably" needed a root canal. Then, I was given options to either have the root canal done right away OR I could wait until the pain worsened, which then would confirm a 100% that I "needed" a root canal. I'm not an expert in dentistry in any way, but I kept asking Dr. Kim to show me why I'd need a root canal on the x-ray that was in front of us and he kept dodging my questions. As a first-time patient at this office, I felt quite uncomfortable by how pushy everything felt and how I wasn't getting any of the answers to the questions I was asking so I decided to go with my gut and not have the root canal done. Mind you, I was never even asked if I had gotten my teeth bleached recently since that on its own can be a cause of sensitivity (which I had done!). So all in all, my experience in the examination room was unacceptable. On top of that, the reception gave me contradictory information, saying that I will definitely need a root canal but it's not clear which tooth really needs it(?!). I was also told that there are going to be additional questions that I will need to answer over the phone, which I did not understand why they were not asked in the examination room in the first place. The receptionist also told me that I will receive a call by the end of the same day, mind you that I did not receive a call until the next week!! I came out of this office, scared and thinking that I have a weird condition going on that they are not telling me about. Being in complete panic, I was able to book an appointment with my usual dentist and it turns out it was a small filling that was done for me very quickly! The front desk from Elements Dental finally called me a week later, and said that they did not have the time to call me although if I needed a root canal right away like they said, they should have been quick to follow up and not to leave the patient in discomfort for a week! I'm so glad I went with my gut, rather than the dental knowledge being practiced at this office. Overall, would not recommend Elements Dental and I will not be back.

Major work and regular maintenance done for my family by all 3 dentists. Always great work and it was the one place I didn't worry about family getting lots of dental work. They offer full services in one place. Glad to have PRP, CBCT, dentures, orthodontics and everything right there. I previously went to a smaller practice without all of this new technology, but we really needed these and dentists that can do it all. I really appreciated the comprehensive intake exam and feel well taken care of. Lots of extra air filtration since covid, but it was already a nicely renovated space. I like having windows while I'm in the chair. They're understanding about anxiety and I feel they care about my health. They're thorough and patient with all my questions.

I have been to a few dentists and I am very fearful of the work being done to my mouth. Being such a small mouth and it locks. I have had troubles with many dentists. My first visit I had to bring my kids and the receptionists watched them and played with my baby. My second visit I had anxiety I was eased and spoken to like a person. Elements Dental is remarkable in more ways than one. The staff are friendly, generous and very good with children. Dr. Chow is...in a word...AMAZING. He recently came in from home on the Sunday evening of a long weekend to assist me in a dental emergency. He was calm, compassionate, professional and efficient. Having had two significant surgical interventions - I am bewildered by how he manages to make it completely PAINLESS. When my daughter was three - she also had to have a minor operation and laid still the entire time...mouth open...her only complaint being that the freezing "tasted" funny. She felt nothing. Dr. Ray Chow is an absolute top tier dentist and the staff at Elements Dental are both very competent, yet easy going and friendly. Due to years of grinding and erosion wear, I required a full rebuild of all my upper teeth and 75% of the bottom teeth. Dr.Chow took into account my biting and chewing tendencies, facial structure, and desired aesthetic (from old photos I had) and rebuilt my entire mouth from scratch. I was blown away with the result. My new teeth look great and feel completely normal, as if I had them my whole life.

Although I live in Vancouver and can easily choose a local dentist, I have made a point to travel to Dr. Chow’s clinic in Victoria for my dental treatments. I have always been impressed by Dr. Chow’s strong belief and passion in combining the latest technology with holistic practices. After visiting several local dentists and being classified as a “tough case” (nervous patient with small jaw and overcrowded teeth), I decided that I would travel the distance for quality service from a highly skilled, caring dentist. I visited Dr. Chow’s Victoria practice for some complicated grafting and crown procedures. His office staff are friendly and professional. Maria, the office manager, was warm, thoughtful and did her very best to alleviate my fear of the unknown. Tara, the dental assistant was funny, caring and instinctively understood what I needed every step of the procedure. Dr. Chow extracted platelets from my blood to maximize healing and recovery. After the process, I experienced only minimal swelling and virtually no discomfort. Dr. Chow even gave me acupuncture treatment after I felt a mild sense of vertigo from sitting in the dental chair. After several years with Dr. Chow, I decided now to write this review as I was very impressed and grateful for the consideration and care I received over the years and especially during my last trip. I showed up on time but had to wait in a busy front waiting area where a customer was having a discrepancy with his bill. Everything went fine for the first couple of appointments. Then they wanted to schedule a follow-up right away. I told them in the office I was unable to have another appointment within 2021. I literally just had an two appointments in October, so I didn't think this was unreasonable. A week later I received another call when I was out-of-province trying to schedule another appointment in a couple of days. I told them there was no way I could make it. Then another appointment was made. Absolutely my fault for not cancelling sooner. I just don't think it is appropriate to have to say no on multiple occasions and still end up with an appointment you have to cancel.
