After a very negative experience at another location I went in due to a dental emergency and met with Dr. Dessureault. He was very nice and professional. Wasn't judgmental or negative at all. I had a very pleasant experience and definitely will be coming back in the future.

We were not clients prior, but when our 4 year old was having extreme pain, they adjusted their appointments so a doctor could tend to our daughter who was crying uncontrollably in pain. I'm Phobic about dentists. And Needles. I have had SO many bad experiences. So understandably, I was a little freaked out when one of my molars broke. I knew that I would need to be knocked out before the procedure. I went in for the initial consult with Dr. Erick Garand. He was understanding, kind and thorough in his explanations of my choices and explained potential costs for various options . It made it so much easier a few days later to come in for the surgery. The two hygienists who prepped me were compassionate, gentle and did their best to set me at my ease. Doctor Erick came in and in short period I was out. The procedure, though probably easy for him, went very well. I will definitely return for regular dental maintenance.

I have Dr Clerk as my dentist and have had routine work done as well as crowns. Dr Clerk and all the staff are kind and extremely skilled in their practice. I do not enjoy getting work done on my teeth and they understand this and are able to help me stay calm. I would not go anywhere else and trust all the staff at mic mac dental. Shelley is also extremely responsive to any question or issue related to billing or scheduling. Overall I think this is a great dental office; professional and competent staff everywhere. When I needed to be seen quickly, accomodations were made to allow for that. They also have evening hours if you need that for work or school.

This office is poorly run and staffed by incompetent people. They are unable to accurately answer simple queries about dentist hours. Review of Dr. Mackenzie is separate but she is not a component dentist in my opinion.

I’m giving this dental centre a 1 star because Dr.Brittany Mackenzie irreversibly shaved down/thinned my top right front tooth, and increased my tooth sensitivity pain in that tooth. I had to have an emergency root canal done 4 days ago and I realized after the local freezing had worn off that the filling behind my right front tooth was very high and I could not close my mouth or chew properly as I had done before. I was booked for an appointment to have the filling fixed with Dr.Mackenzie who was not the dentist who did my root canal. Dr.Branscombe did my root canal but he was not working till much later in the week and I was very uncomfortable with my bottom teeth hitting the back of my filling constantly. Dr.Mackenzie shaved down the filling very quickly, not taking any time to ask me how my tooth felt or giving me a mirror to look at my tooth to ensure it was not super thin at the bottom. This is my front tooth, a tooth you need to be strong to bite and a tooth key to my smile. I realized when I went home yesterday night that she had shaved down a 1/4 of the bottom of my front tooth to an extent that my enamel was so thin that it was very visibly/obviously different. Also, I was having aching pain starting again in that tooth similar to when I experience increased sensitivity in my other teeth. I was shocked she had done this and let me walk out of her dental office. Not once did she take the time to let me properly examine my teeth during the procedure or ask for my input into it. She kept shaving it down, IRREVERSIBLY THINNING MY FRONT TOOTH AND VISIBLY distorting it. My smile is permanently ruined. I am very very upset and I asked to speak to her today to see if she would apologize or maybe give some sort of explanation for why she ruined a 25 year old’s woman’s smile forever, but she could not take 5 minutes out of her day to speak to me. I am forgettable to her and she will continue to live her life without any thought that she ruined my smile and caused me a lot of psychological trauma. I advise all future patients to please be careful going to her and maybe request to see other more competent dentists in the office.

I have a confession to make: I love going to the dentist. Many people would disagree, but I would go every month if possible. The feeling of running your tongue over professionally cleaned teeth is *chef finger kiss*. Mic Mac Dental can make this glorious experience happen for you. They're open Saturdays and evenings, making scheduling easy, and the location in the mall means lots of free parking. I've always found the clinic to be tidy and clean. My hygienist is great, she always checks that I'm comfortable with each procedure, and happily answers my questions. My dentist is also good; because of her role I don't see her as much, but have always been satisfied with her work. When I broke the wire retainer cemented inside my mouth (which was inevitable, because I've broken all the other orthodontic devices my mouth has come up against) the team got me in quickly and fixed up in no time. I rest easy in that reclined chair, watching a program of my choice on the tv mounted in the ceiling(!), making the kind of unintelligible noises that only someone in the dental field can understand, knowing I have an awesome lady squad taking care of my teeth.

I believe Dr. Mackenzie needs more experience. She repaired my broken front tooth twice and both times broke off within days. She extracted a molar and the experience was incredibly painful. I am currently looking for a more experienced dentist.

This was my very first visit to this dentist office, and they told me things about my teeth and jaw that my LIFELONG dentists had never thought to mentioned to me. The hygenist i saw (Olivia) was so kind and reassuring to me, she was gentle, and explained everything she was doing. All the staff members I interacted with were professional without being cold or standoffish. These dentists 100% heard my problems and concerns and LISTENED to me. This was a very refreshing dentist experience for once. I highly recommend going to see Dr Clerk and his hygenist(s), you won't find a better experience in halifax or dartmouth

August 29 I had been booked for a simple dental cleaning at 4:30pm, which I didn't understand them booking me in for that time, as they close at 6:00pm on Saturday. I waited an hour for my appointment as I showed up at Mic Mac dental center at 4:06pm.Well aster waiting over an hour I got up and asked them will my appointment be honored, as it's getting close to closing time? To that the receptionist said oh yes, she's cleaning the station and then will call you. Finally the hygienist called me in at 5:12 which didn't make sense. Well they couldn't complete a simple cleaning as there was no time and then I was booked again for part 2 of my simple dental cleaning for October 5 at 1:30pm. I have a card from the receptionist who gave me that card for October 5 at 1:30pm. I showed up for my appointment today, and oh sorry your appointment was for Tuesday October 6 at 1:30pm. Well not impressed at all, apparently, they're not admitting their own mistake. Why am I paying thousands in dental insurance. My opinion of Mic Mac Dental Center, think twice before you pick them as your dentists.

If I could give this place a no star I would! My tooth been bothering me for weeks I come here an they said either I need a root canal or extraction so they give me antibiotics and send me home till I make up my decision what I wanted.... so I made an appointment wanting to get my tooth extracted and the doctor was like ok how about this will do a partial root canal until you get you insurance so they took the nerve out an put a temp filling .... I was in alot of pain so I figure as long the pain go away fine whatever....I felt the whole process what he did I was in alot of pain an they said it was normal after that day a week later I came back because my tooth was still sore so he files it down saying there no infection just take ibuprofen cause it could be inflamed I told him I can't take this pain no more I haven't slept an eaten for two weeks just take the tooth out but there so worried about me getting my insurance to get a root canal they ignore my decision! It my tooth my decision... So I decided to go to a different dentist an saw the fact why I felt the whole process when I got that partial root canal an why I'm still in alot of pain ....it because I had an infection that was causing me pain !! So they helped fixed my problem !!! Horrible and unprofessional!! I get that your suppose to help keep teeth but when you see someone in alot of pain an they made a choice you don't ignore an go your way !!

Unprofessional administrative assistants, and support staff such as nurses. Discriminatory office practices against indigenous clients such as not providing pain management prescriptions for procedures like wisdom teeth removal. I would not support this business nor will I be recommending this business. I almost got my wisdom teeth taken out by them, I walked away from the procedure day-of when they sat me down for a consultation to make sure I had all of my after care necessities such as antibiotics and T3's for pain management. They were running down their check list and asked if I had both prescriptions. I confirmed I did not have a prescription from the dentist for T3's, the nurse looked puzzled, excused herself from the room to speak with a colleague of hers in the hall, I could clearly hear their conversation. My nurse asked another staff member why I wasn't given a prescription for pain management and the response from her colleague was simply that I fit the narrative of someone who could abuse the prescription. My nurse came back into the room and completely moved on from where our conversation paused at when she excused herself for that moment. If you have ever been discriminated against, you know there is a long period of processing what had just happened, let alone being at the point of addressing it. I was suppose to put my well being in their hands? The range of emotions I felt from anger to hurt confused, and unfortunately, unjustly... shame. After they froze my mouth I decided I couldn't do it with them and walked out. I officially cut ties with their office. Would rate the zero stars if I could.

These guys are scammers they told me it 85 dollers juat to walk in door then appoinment fee on top that ..then fee for visit and exrays plus if tooth nneded by fix pulled...so 400 bucks minimum just to see dentist...called 2 other places and they never herd twll of charging 85 bucks to book a appoinment
