I was very careful in selecting my new dentist, doing quite a bit of research ahead of time. I have to say: it was worth it. Dr. Mark is an excellent dentist. He goes above and beyond the basics, is careful to consider the whole patient, including bones structure and muscle functions, etc. His diagnosis and treatment plans have a much broader view than any other dentist I have ever talked to. While on the chair, he explains everything he does in detail. He seems genuinely interested in the patient's well being, is very caring, and clearly loves his job. I was in that chair for several hours for a complex situation, and not once was I scared or experienced the slightest bit of pain. I was really impressed. Dr. Mark also really seems to care for his staff, treating everyone with kindness, patience and respect. The whole practice feels like a family.

Outstanding service. Took me in after hours to address emergency dental issues. Very good care and explained the root of my pain and the likely longterm fix. Prescribed pain meds then called the late night pharmacy to pre-order for pickup. Service beyond outstanding.

My experience as always with Dr. Sutherland is wonderful; I have a huge fear of needles and everyone right from Beth on the desk to his assistant to Dr. Sutherland himself guides me through the process and makes the whole experience a more pleasant one for me. Everyone in his office is professional, helpful and above all understanding of one's fears. I have no hesitation going to Dr Sutherland for any dental needs that I have. He explains things fully so you understand before a procedure what is happening. I believe her generally cares about his patient's well being.

Update to my previous review below: just had a crown put onto place. It’s great that, instead of multiple visits to complete the job, Dr Sutherland has the equipment to make this a one stop visit. As usual I relaxed knowing I was in the best hands with him and his staff. Earlier post: I wish I had gone to Dr. Sutherland earlier, but better late than never! With many cracked teeth due to a misaligned bite, there's been a lot of restorative work this year. Despite the necessary expense I feel fortunate because Dr,. Sutherland has spent a lot of time figuring out how to proceed. Only someone who truly loves what he does would make such an effort and acquire those skills. Knowing I'm in good hands has actually relieved stress. BTW,everyone on the team he has at the office are wonderful, too. They provide a professional yet warm atmosphere.

I've had a brilliant experience going to Dr. Sutherland's dentistry. Mark Sutherland himself is not only super detailed in his job but also is very caring about his patients. I also had experience getting service from Lynn at DMS dentistry and found her a dedicated hygienist. All other staff are friendly as well, specially Beth at the front door. Absolutely LOVE this place for many reasons. The staff are friendly and efficient. On my first appointment Dr. Sutherland provided a very detailed assessment and went over my xrays with me. He explained his findings in a way I understood. Absolutely love the philosophy of not over treating. Feels nice to go into a dentist and leave with a clean bill of health versus being told you have numerous cavities that need filling. Dr. Sutherland and his staff are very courteous and kind. My 17-year-old daughter had very pitted front teeth and she wanted to have her teeth temporarily fixed until she was a little older. The temporary fix was so artistically and well done - her teeth look beautiful. Obviously we will use Dr. Mark when she gets her permanent fix on her teeth done! This is someone who really enjoys his work and takes great pride in how your teeth will look. I have five children and they have all gone to Dr. Mark in the last couple of years - he has been absolutely wonderful. I am not someone who normally writes reviews but I feel it's really important especially with dental that you have a very kind and caring professional. Your Kindness and dedication is very much appreciated. In all offices it cannot be run without wonderful staff - special mention to Beth, you are so helpful and professional to work - with especially since our scheduling is never easy.

I HATE going to the dentist for anything due to a history of bad experiences. But I go for my cleanings and dental work to Dr. Mark. If you have to go you might as well go to the best! I can’t imagine that there is a better dentist. Up to date knowledge, equipment and a great bedside manner plus he is such a natural it is virtually painless regardless of the procedure and I’ve had pretty much everything done to my smile. You might pay a little extra but it’s totally worth it. I give a big shoutout to Dr. Mark and his entire staff. You’re all simply the best!

I get really anxious when anyone says I have to go to the dentist ever since I had a bad experience. So anxious that I have been avoiding the dentist since I moved/my previous dentist who I'd had since I was a kid retired. I have been having problems with one of my teeth that required a massive rebuild and was very anxious about getting it fixed; especially with a new dentist. Dr. Sutherland and his team were wonderful when I went in to have my filling replaced. They were extremely patient with me and talked me through every step of the way. I really appreciated the time they took to do a good job and Dr. Sutherland answered questions I had about my tooth even after I'd left the office.
