Just visiting the area and lost a filling. Antigonish Family Dentistry worked me in after a holiday weekend. Unfortunately the tooth needed removal but iit was all done quickly and efficiently by Dr Wotton and his assistant. I had a great experience with this dental office. Facilities are new, clean and bright. Staff is very professional and courteous. Dental hygienists seem quite knowledgeable. Equipment is pretty much the latest including digital x-rays, which are visible in front of you on a big display. The only thing that might be lacking are the laser cavity devices that provide precise determinations of tooth decay. Not sure if they have those.

A decade ago, at a different dentist's office, I had a completely horrible experience and refused to go back. Now my teeth have gotten so bad they need extensive work. I finally booked an appointment at Antigonish Family Dentistry a few months ago, and boy do I wish I had went to these guys sooner.. From walking through the door until walking out I was greeted pleasantly, treated wonderfully, and met an amazing team of people. The receptionists were obviously the first people I dealt with, they set the tone for me and it was a good one. I had to fill out the intake sheet since I was a new patient, and any questions I had they answered with a smile and friendly attitude. Then I met my team. Morgan is such a sweet girl; very friendly and professional too. Dr. Brian Latwaitis knew I was nervous and explained every part of each procedure out before he did it, and made sure I understood and was comfortable with it before proceeding. They treat you like people there, not just patients filling a time slot. So far I've had a full exam, three sets of x-rays (two for specific teeth and one for all teeth) and three extractions, and have already booked my next appointment for the new year. As far as dentistry goes, in my experience, this team is among the best I've encountered. I am absolutely looking forward to my next visits, however many. How many people can say that honestly, that they are excited to get in the chair? Antigonish Family Dentistry, thank you!

Need to be crowned? This is the best place to have that procedure ..... 45 minutes of your time, + you get to watch as the computer and a magic "pencil" do the work and create the crown especially for you! No multi-step process, no need to return time and again ..... just make an appointment, and become a crowned person. This high-tech facility is right in the middle of our small community! It doesn't get any better than this.
