Look no further, if possible I would give Dr.Eli Shem-Tov and his team a 10 / 10. After not being to a dentist for many years it was time. I went online to find someone who would knock me out believing that was my only option due to my fear of dentistry . I was embarrassed by the condition of my teeth, I was holding the chair arms in a death grip I was determined to see it through. First a cleaning while wearing headphones watching Netflix blocking out the sound of the extensive cleaning. I was instructed if I wanted to stop at any time to raise my hand, I felt I had some control of the situation. Then the dental exam, having found a few cavities along with some old fillings that needed replacing somehow I was still willing to go ahead. Now I had to face the dreaded freezing. WHAT ON EARTH IT DID NOT HURT! I had overlooked the fact dentistry had come a long way and given the gentle hand of Dr. Shem-Tov I made it through my first appointment. Now I actually look forward to my check ups and cleanings, I now love to floss, and love to take care of my teeth . Thanks to all the staff and Dr.Eli Shem-Tov for their patience and understanding, I am no longer in fear of dentistry. Cheese show those early whites ????

Excellent experience! Dr. Shem-Tov is the only dentist in all these years who found the cavity in one of my teeth which gave me lots of trouble but would not be able to seen from x-rays (I went to several dentists and they all said something like "nothing shows up from the x-ways. If you still feel some sensitivity, use some Advil). He listens and he really cares. Trust me! Dr. Shem-Tov is very knowledgeable, professional and full of experience! The office manager Leone is very kind and efficient too. She made the appointment booking so much easier as she always takes your concerns into consideration. She answered my questions in a very professional way. It is an excellent team! Will definitely recommend to all my friends.

My father had recently retired from a long career in dentistry and he was the only dentist I had ever known. Consequently, going to the dentist was always a comfortable experience for me regardless of what I was having done. Searching for a new dentist that I could trust for both my daughter and myself was truly a daunting prospect. There are quite a few dental professionals with websites these days, so I began my search online. I wasn't interested in anyone with a flashy sign and swanky office, but a professional who demonstrated passion for their work and care for their patients, including children. (This is what I had grown up with.) Dr Shem-Tov's online presentation struck me immediately, so I checked out his Facebook page. Right away, it was evident that he had trusting patients and a kind persona. Patients that had seen his predecessor were happy to remain with him after he took over the practice. I was also impressed that he teaches at the university and will pass on any information to help patients gain better understanding of procedures. My ease with the office really began when I called to make an appointment and Leone answered. She was super sweet and welcoming on the phone and greeted us personally and by name when we arrived. Any remaining nerves were shattered when we encountered the rest of the staff. Everyone was super thorough, friendly and genuine. We have both since been for subsequent appointments and remain thrilled with our choice. Thanks to Dr. Shem-Tov and staff, we leave the office smiling. :)

I just had a visit at North York Dental at 1333 Sheppard Ave E #107, North York, ON with Dr. Eli Shem - Tov. The work that has to be done was complicated and the doctor gave me an amazing treatment and without any pain or discomfort. The quality of customer service is amazing and they treat you like a family member! If you have to do some teeth treatments make sure you ask for Dr. Eli Shem he is the best dentist I ever dealt with.

I was so scared of the dentist because of past experiences, but on my first visit I was put to rest. Now I go not even think about anything I may have to have done. I came for a cleaning and got an amazing experience. I also had a tooth that was bothering me for months and Dr. Madani fixed it right there on the spot for me. They are always super friendly when you arrive and the dog is so cute and puts you at ease. Netflix on the ceiling helps make appointments fly by! They are easy to get a hold of and accommodating when booking appointments, and email reminders for your upcoming appointments. I had a 35-year-old giant filling that had cracked. I was expecting quite a bit of pain. But, it didn't hurt at all... it looks better than before... and feels great. And the hygienists are sweet and skilled. Even accommodating me with my personal requests. And don't forget Izzy! i have been to 4 dentists in my life, this one being the 5th. i have HUGE dental anxiety from having awful dentists in the past. let me tell you this is THE BEST BEST BEST dental office arguably in the world, i wish i could give it 10 stars not just 5. my first visit i literally was crying i was so anxious, everyone, and i mean EVERYONE from the front desks to dental assistants to the lead dentist was SO SO SO kind, so understanding, so welcoming. i have never ONCE had a good cleaning experience until i found these guys. they truly changed my whole teeth world. im SO grateful to have been recommended this office and i seriously recommend it to absolutely everyone. im actually EXCITED for my next visit which is something i have NEVER been able to say before. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I have complex PTSD and no other dentist would take me in as a new patient, so I've been overdue for a cleaning for years. As soon as I messaged NYD that I needed a cleaning and that I have this mental illness, there was no hesitation in the response. Dr. Madani and Edward are the most compassionate people; they care a lot about you and your comfort/happiness. I couldn't have asked for a better experience given my illness. If you have high levels of anxiety/fear or PTSD, I highly recommend this place! I cannot vouch for a better location if you have a dental phobia. They will make you feel comfortable throughout the whole duration. Shoutout to Izzy (therapy dog), Dr. Madani, Edward, Sharon, and Leanne. You guys are my heroes!

I've been a patient for over 15 years and every single visit I'm greeted by friendly and inviting reception staff. I have never been kept waiting more than 2 minutes and the medical staff are amazing. I'm not a fan of sitting in the dentist chair yet each person who works on my teeth is gentle yet thorough. Dr. Shem-Tov's professional and calm manner makes you feel like you are in excellent hands-and you are. The entire team is patient and knowledgeable. Can't hurt either than when you are seated in the dental chair, you are offered a remote and headphones to catch up on some news or a show-a very pleasant distraction! Dr. Shem-Tov is probably the best dentist that I've ever met. Recently I had a problem on my old fillings, he fixed my problem and no more sensitive feeling on my tooth! However they have this $100 cancellation policy in place for those patients who habitually short cancel (same day) or no show. “Since we turn away other patients to hold your appointment, any missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will result in a cancellation charge of $100. Please call the office if you need to cancel your appointment as we do not accept cancellations over voicemail or email “ Also we are in 2020 and they accept appointment confirmation via Email but not for cancellations. Therefore I have decided stop going to this dentist since I don't want to get racked up with -$100 if I can't make it due any unforseen circumstances less than 48hrs. Final verdict: The dentist is great, but the adminstration for the cancellation policy are absolutely horrible, don't accept cancellations over voicemail or Email.

The receptionist, Sharon, was amazing when I came in. The Hygenist was very nice, explained everything he was doing, cleaned my teeth and I wasn’t in any discomfort, the dentist worked on my teeth and was very nice, she explained everything she was doing, caused no pain. I needed an implant for my upper front tooth. I wasn’t happy and comfortable with my dentist. My daughter-in-law recommended Dr. Shem-Tov. I was very impressed in my first visit. Leone behind the front desk was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Shem-Tov was very professional and explained to me in details what needs to be done. I felt right away that I am in good hands. They recommended Dr. Gioulos to be the surgeon for the implant, and the Dental Ceramic Art Lab to make the tooth, and of course Dr. Shem-Tov for the crown. The process took ~5 months and finished a few weeks ago. I am very pleased with the result. Everything turned out to be perfect and I am very thankful for Dr. Shem-Tov and his staff.

NYD took me in as an emergency patient and from Sharon (front desk staff) to Leone (Manager) made me feel comfortable and all the paperwork was completed quickly so that I could see Dr. Madani to assess my tooth and assist with my pain. Seeing Dr. Madani for the first time, she clearly explained what she was doing, course of treatment, and follow-up to put me in ease during the visit. After 2 visits, I have to say that I'm incredibly pleased with the level of service that I've received so far. A+++ Called in first thing in the morning and was able to do a ROOT CANAL within 2 hours! I explained my urgency to do this as I am getting married in 6 days! They called me at 11 AM to confirm the appointment and I was already in the building but appreciated the courtesy call because I needed the unit number. Got to the waiting area where they had a beautiful dog which helps with anxious patients! Great Idea! Then was very well taken care off during very non painful Root Canal (part 1) while being handed headphones, and a remote control to watch Netflix during my procedure! It doesn't get any better than that. Or maybe it does, the final cost for the procedure was very reasonable and they explained my many options thoroughly. I'm switching myself and my fiance to this dental clinic and am looking forward to the second part of my Root Canal- never thought I'd say that!

Dr Shem-Tov and staff are all great, including Izzy the therapy dog. Leone is beyond helpful with insurance claims...as well as being generally warm and welcoming. Enas, the hygienist, is amazing. Thorough and gentle. Dr Shem-Tov is patient and happy to explain the procedures and answer any questions. It never feels rushed. Izzy the therapy dog is a cuddly surprise. The practice stays up to date with new technology. And you have the option of watching tv/movies or listening to music, with headphones if you don't want to hear the drills! The whole team is great!

Dr. McKean, who has since retired, and now Dr. Shem-Tov go out of their way to make you feel at ease and very comfortable. The receptionist is REALLY REALLY friendly, she was able to find my insurance billing numbers. Only been 1 visit, the reviews are what brought me to this location along with the convenience of the location. 1 negative point to mention regarding the location is the parking, but that is not worthy of deducting a star as for me it is about 20 minutes walking distance or a several minute drive.
