It gives me great pleasure to write a testimonial about the impeccable service I have received since becoming a patient at Dr. Skinner’s dental clinic. Upon making my first appointment, I was immediately put at ease when the receptionist answered all my questions and concerns. At no point was I made to feel that my questions were irrelevant. Having had some bad experiences at previous dental offices, I was somewhat wary of starting over at a brand new dental office. All of my fears disappeared when I arrived at the office with ease, found ample parking, was greeted by the friendly staff, and sat down in a comfortable reception area. The receptionist helped me get all the information prior to my arrival. This made the forms easy to fill out. After that, the dental hygienist whisked me into the chair. She was awesome. My teeth never felt so clean! The dental hygienist took me through every step of the process, and made sure I had an opportunity to address any concerns I might have. After that Dr. Skinner came in and carefully checked my teeth. I loved the fact that she gave me options and carefully discussed long term care with me. I have now been at Third Street Dental for a few years, and all my experiences continue to be great. Since my first visit, I have had some corrective cosmetic work done on my teeth. Dr. Skinner handled everything with the utmost care. She fully understood what I wanted. Then she made suggestions for me to consider. Dr. Skinner took great care to make my teeth beautiful. I've been using Dr Skinner for 6 years. When I first arrived in Canada (from England - worst Dentists ever), I saw two dentists which kept trying to sell me completely unnecessary procedures. A friend recommended Dr Skinner and I've followed her from Burnaby to her practice in North Vancouver. Dr Skinner took the time to make a strategy for my dental work, we prioritized the challenging areas and got to work. A couple of years later my mouth is in tip-top shape thanks to Dr Skinner and her team at Third St Dental. My wife and two children use Dr Skinner and we could not be happier. There is no pressure to do unnecessary work, the team are professional, friendly and always accommodating. I've gone from dreading the dentist to looking forward to seeing everyone at Third Street Dental, they take the time to make you feel welcome whilst providing the best dental care I have ever experienced.

Like many, I avoid dentists until an emergency compels me to see one. Not the best strategy, I know, but experiences haven't been good. A serious abscess forced me to face down the anxiety, so I checked out all the dental clinics in North Vancouver. The receptionist at Third Street Dental, Sarah, went beyond the call of duty to be helpful and informative. That got me in the door, and once there, I was treated with utmost compassion and professionalism by my new care team, experienced hygienist Sandy, and Dr. Ho who any clinic would be very fortunate to have on board. Turns out I needed two rear extractions, but the decision was left to me. No pressure at all. The situation was explained clearly and in a manner a layperson could easily understand. Getting rid of a dead tooth that's been quietly festering for years (sorry, it's gross but true) is a no-brainer, so I went for both. Here's the part you dental phobes will like, and anyone who just wants an excellent experience at the dentist: stubbing my toe would've hurt more. The anesthetic went in, the teeth came out, and the whole event was accomplished quickly and with a minimum of discomfort. Sandy made sure I fully understood the aftercare instructions - I probably looked a little dazed. The extractions were so clean that a couple of Tylenol took care of the initial ache. After day one, they weren't even needed. I've never had a follow-up call from a dentist, so I was delighted when Dr. Ho checked in briefly the next day to make sure I was fine (I was) and to answer any questions I might have. The atmosphere at Third Street Dental is relaxing, cheerful and conducive to calm. I'll be going back because I want a grin I don't have to be self-conscious about, and these folks have earned my confidence and trust. ~ Kathryn Ann

Went in for a cleaning and was incredibly surprised by the friendly and welcoming environment. Dr. Andrew Ho's use of technology with iPads and big flat screen tv's definitely catered to my love of tech. In addition, the way he even made a balloon animal for my daughter made the experience all the better. Definitely a win.

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ho this morning & I just feel compelled to write an early review thanking him and his team for their wonderful work. I suffer from health anxiety so my wisdom tooth extraction was something I've put off for 3+ years. When I went to my consultation he answered every single question I had without feeling rushed (and I had a *lot* of questions). We decided on doing IV sedation (which I was also very nervous about) but the whole thing was not scary at all! And I say this as someone with very bad anxiety. I got there, put my favourite comfort blanket on, & once the sedation set in, I don't remember anything really! I definitely did not panic or feel scared in the slightest which was the most surprising part. I feel such a relief to have had these extractions finally taken care of. I could cry of joy. I'm obviously still in the very early stages of healing, but I will update my review if anything changes!

Dr. Skinner is the best! I brought my very shy toddler in to see her and she was able to sit on my lap and have this fun "intro" to the dentist. She was able to sit still and wasn't scared. She's an excellent dentist and great with kids. She is professional and warm-hearted. I would recommend her to anyone.

I'm terrified of the dentist and have been since I was a kid. I went in for a rather large cavity to be filled. I was given oral sedation to help my anxiety and nervousness, was given a blanket and a tv to watch as it kicked in. Through the procedure, Dr. Ho and his assistant were very kind to me and reassured me throughout the time they were working on my tooth. The receptionist is always kind and uses my preferred name. I highly recommend this office. You will be taken care of.

Dr. Andrew Ho and his staff are so professional (know exactly what they are doing), friendly, and communicate very well (what to expect, what, when, etc). My son needed a root canal done. We were prepared to "suffer" with the pain, liquid food, medical leave for at least 3-5 days. One of Dr Ho's staff sit down with us to go over the entire pre and post surgery process, what to do and not to do post surgery, when to return for a review and other details. Dr Ho did the canal expertly and the whole surgery were done well before what was scheduled. Surgery went very well. My son was eating and chewing food the second day. Dr Ho's staff followed up to ensure that all was well with my son. Dr Ho and his team operates like a dream team. It is hard to find a professional dentist with an excellent support team (nurses, hygienist, front desk...) that makes visiting a dentist a pleasant experience. We have to travel from Coquitlam to North Van, but gladly do so. We recommend Dr Ho to all our church friends who are looking for a family dentist who is professional, friendly, communicates very well, and supported by a "dream team" of nurses and staff.

My wife has been going to Third Street Dental since she was five years old. 25 years later, our whole family goes to this clinic (even though we live in Fairview). This was possibly one of the best dental experiences I have ever had at a dentist office. From booking the appointment to the interaction with both hygienist and dentist, I was so happy. Naz at the front desk was very welcoming and efficient. She scheduled me in for a cleaning when she noticed a spot available and took care of any questions I have. This was my first time at a dentist in years and I was very anxious and scared. Dr. Skinner put me completely at ease and was very calming and accommodating of my fears. My hygienist Christine was AMAZING! She took such great care of me and was again very calming and mindful of my fears. This is my second review on melissa When she did 1 of my crowns she spent extra time trying to get the clay mold perfect cause she did. Like 6 tries of clay mold of my teeth --its better that she did 6 tries of clay mold that way my crown would turn out better ---then she explains things in detail when we look at my teeth xrays ----when i first met her in port coquitlam i thought she was still in high school cause she is so short --shes like 4 feet 6 inches or someting but thats better to be short in height --i met melissa 10 years agp in poco dental place She was young .And 30ish and very beautiful and very good at dentistry She fixed quite a few of my cavities and her skills at doing crowns is pretty good cause i have 2 crowns down by her 1 of the crowns fell off but it wasnt her fault Her dental hygienist accidentally pricked it off while cleaning my teeth but dr butler put it back on again then it fell off again then i had. A different dentist use a stronger glue to put it back on again I followed her all over town cause i wanted her to be my dentist She went to a poco dentist place then highgate dentist then now in north van The quality of finish of the 2 crowns was pretty good in apperance I might get her to do my bridge but we havent really talked about it in detail yet In the 10 years there was no serious problems with her work and i recommend her as a good quality dentist and she takes courses to keep up to new dental practises

Dr Ho and Sandy helped to extract my last wisdom tooth 2 weeks ago. I was always afraid of going to the dentist and suffering all the metal sound when dentists working on me. The experience at Dr Ho's office was pretty good. Dr Ho was very patient with me and gave me clear understanding of what he was going to do, and he did his job very fast with good skills. Sandy was very thorough with instruction so that I could take good care of myself after extraction. I assumed that it's something they do everyday, and my case was not a difficult surgery; but they took into account the fact that extraction was a big deal to me, some obvious and natural bleeding was big deal to me; and they tried their best to comfort me.
