Dr. Barker is an amazing dentist. I look forward to going to the dentist because he is the one I see. If I have to get a tooth out, he guides me through it, makes me laugh, talks to me and just calms my anxiety down so much. He lets me know what he’s doing before going ahead to do something, and when I’m very nervous he talks me right through it and makes me feel soooo much better. He’s also very gentle which made the pain very minimal after the tooth came out. I would recommend him to anybody, he is handsome, sweet, caring and kind. AlwAys answers questions and doesn’t rush you out. He is hands down the best dentist!!!

I am new to this dental office. I have had some checkups and fillings as well as a cleaning. I was thoroughly impressed. The office staff are kind and courteous and Dr Power is a great dentist. They are timely and provide you with great advice and work. I don't feel like they are looking for money but actually care about you and your oral health.

The receptionist was absolutely rude, i called and asked to make an appointment with my regular dentist and she informs me right off the bat that i have missed several appointments back in 2013 at which time i was in junior high so obviously there was nothing i could do about that, but then when i asked to make an appointment she said "you'd have to wait two weeks anyway" and then hung up the phone, i waited since January when my regular dentist was only holiday untill march i dont care about waiting another two weeks but there was no need for the lack of disrespect, i called around to make an appointment somewhere else and they were much more kind

I practically walked in through the front door and straight to my hygienists seat my last visit. She did a wonderful job giving my teeth a good cleaning and we had a wonderful conversation while she worked! I have been going to First Street Dental since 2006 and I have yet to have a bad experience there. Any dental emergencies I've had (Cracked a couple of teeth) they've gotten me in right away and fixed me right up. I recommend them to anyone who asks me where they should go for their dental work.

Great dentists, wonderful assistants and staff, excellent dental work, friendly, patient and informative. No wait times, and we usually get in early if we arrive before our appointment time. It also does not take long to get an appointment. They are also fantastic with children, and they have made visiting the dentist a positive experience for my son. Office manager was able to correct the miscommunication. Had a wonderful chat with her and realized that it was not an issue of taking something from me, but rather saving me another freezing and my time. They did a wonderful job in correcting this issue and I will say thou I was very angry with Dr Power I do believe he is a good dentist and I really hated the thought of finding someone else, I felt he was very concerned with my care and really did want the best for me. I would have to say Im very happy this was resolved as I think First St Dental have their patients best interest in mind at all times.

We are truly blessed to have this dental office. For anyone nervous or uncomfortable at all going to the dentist, this is the cure. The office staff is so professional and polite I honestly have to comment to them every time I visit just how fond of them all I am. I spent the first 30 years of my life fainting at the THOUGHT of going to the dentist because of previous traumatic experiences with other dentists. After ONE trip to Doctor MacDonald my lifelong fear has been cured. She has more skill and experience than any dentist alive today. Her friendly demeanor, confidence and skill was so calming for me that I had to convince my wife (who also had a lifelong phobia of the dentist) to pay Doctor MacDonald a visit. Once again Doctor MacDonald cured my wifes 30+ year phobia in a single visit. My wife and I are now visiting First Street dental regularly and I just felt the need to write a review because this company is so deserving of it. The dentists, hygienists and office staff are such wonderful people, I honestly feel like a family member there. What a perfect example of how to run a company, great job everyone, thank you so much! :)

Great experience for the whole family. Our dentist dod a great job explaining our options for work that needed to be done and didn't need. He made sure we were not spending money unnecessarily. As far as the work perfomred, wicked.

I was assaulted by Melanie at First Street Dental. It wasnt too bad at first. She was rougher than my usual hygienist and I was bleeding the whole time but I figured but I could take it, but towards the end she started getting impatient and just started butchering my gums. Like she wasn't even really getting the plaque off she was just shoving the pointy thing down into my gums. So I made her stop and told her she had to be gentler and she said," I'm sorry I promise I'll be careful". So for some stupid reason I let her try again and she didn't even try to be careful. She was going harder than ever and I was swallowing so much blood and she was leaning on my hair so I couldn't move my head and my tongue automatically tried to push her hand out she instead of holding it back with the mirror she started stabbing my tongue with the pointy tool trying to shove it out of the way. I was waving my arms around and trying to talk and ask her to stop. I finally got a hold of myself and reached up and dug my nails her arm. She pulled back and I jumped out of the chair. I was so traumatized and scared that I agreed to come back. I even waited in the next room and saw the dentist for my checkup. With shaking hands I eventually paid at the front desk and paid. After I got a few blocks away I regained myself. I went back to ask for a refund. It was refused and I was told I had to wait until the office manager was back in 4 days. I was assaulted and has to wait for a refund. Finally after 4 phone calls the next week I got my refund.

I have been a client of First Street dental for a long long time and my experiences there are consistently pleasant and enjoyable. The hygienists are pleasant and knowledgeable, gentle and professional and I have the best dentist! Doctor Shannon Barker! The hours of operation allow me to make appointments during times that work for me as a busy professional. The front desk staff are always smiling and happy and very helpful. I only see them twice a year usually and I always feel welcome when I arrive. Wait time is minimal and before I know it my cleaning and check up are done and I'm on my way! However, I had some dental work done last Monday.....long story short, I needed the 24/7 emergency help they offer, I called the on call dr 2:00am it's now 9:00am and I'm still waiting for him to call me!
