This place is wonderful. I have terrible anxiety in general, more so about dental procedures. I put off having my 2 bottom wisdom teeth out for years due to this anxiety. Last week I finally had the courage to go through with it and I couldn't be happier or more impressed. The staff are so kind and will do what they can to ease your worries. The worst part was the IV and they even suggested EMLA cream to help numb the area so I didn't even feel it! I honestly can't say enough good about my experience, it was comfortable in every way. If you're anxious about dental procedures these guys are definitely the place to go.

Had 2 wisdom teeth extracted yesterday. The ladies at front were lovely to me. I wasn’t overly nervous as I’ve been anxiously waiting to get my teeth out for a while and have just been needing to save for the costs. However I do feel everyone gets the pre-operative jitters, But the whole experience couldn’t have went smoother. My dental assistant was so kind and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and gave me advice for the best recovery. My nurse was the sweetest lady. She was excellent at giving the IV and chatted with me to pass the time while Dr. Woodford finished with a previous client (which was no time at all). I didn’t have much communication with dr. woodford besides the brief consultation but she was very professional and friendly. I don’t usually leave reviews, however I had a great experience and would 100% recommend this place to anyone. Dentist offices are not always people’s most favourite places, but this place was wonderful. Plus the music was great ????

I'm 21 years old and went in to get my wisdom teeth removed recently. Dr. Davis was absolutely amazing, he went through everything with me and made sure I was very comfortable. I had an out of world experience with one of the nurses Adele though. She walked me through everything while she had to put in my IV/get me prepped for the surgery. She was so calm and collected which made me feel so much better seeing that I was so nervous before. She talked with me for a bit and helped me walk to one of the rooms too which I don't remember. Thank you so much Dr. Davis and Adele for making my surgery a very positive and pleasant experience! If I ever need to go back to Atlantic Oral for anything else again, there will be no hesitation.

Very professional and courteous business. I was put very at ease by the staff and given a briefing of what would happen during my appointment. I had all four wisdom teeth removed in 45 minutes and I was up and on my feet immediately after the surgery. The post-op care was great, very attentive and plenty of instructions on care and contact numbers if I had any concerns. I must say I was anxious about the operation but I couldn't have wished for a better result. I highly recommend this Surgical practice for anyone who is considering where to have their oral surgery performed.

Nice place, staff are friendly and organized. My card was declined and they were reassuring about it, told me to just call my bank and they can usually sort out my limit right there. Nurse who set me up was lovely, dentist who pulled my teeth was as well (don't quite remember him, I wasn't awake for the procedure). All in all, a better experience than pulling teeth has any right to be.

The standard of care I received was outstanding. All staff, from medical to nursing to administrative, are highly knowledgeable and seek to make a potentially stressful situation peaceful and easy on the patient. I had the utmost confidence in the whole team and felt very comfortable in their care. I had four wisdom teeth extracted in one session with one of the teeth being a particularly challenging extraction. The recovery was uncomfortable but the team prepared me for that stage as well, so there were no surprises.

The BEST place for wisdom teeth extraction surgery! I visited Atlantic Oral Surgery on Friday, February 7, 2020 to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted. It was a snowy/sloppy day and they were closed for the morning, but they managed to get a small crew in the afternoon to go ahead with my surgery and 2 others, thank you Dr. Davis, Tasha, Megan and the lady at the front desk who went in! I typically am not a fan of the dentist, but every single employee at Atlantic Oral Surgery made this procedure as easy as could be. From the super friendly and professional ladies who booked the appointments and got me in so quickly (Vera), to the nurse administering the IV (Megan), the best possible Dental Assistant (Tasha), and the professional Dr. Davis, the entire staff were so friendly, comforting and informative! They will even give you a ball park quote for price and then adjust it when the Dentist actually sees you. I was one of the lucky ones whose quote went down after my consultation! I've never had an IV before and I honestly barely even felt Megan put it in, she was super gentle! Each of them also took the time to specifically and carefully explain the procedure, pricing, precautions, and recovery instructions so thoroughly! They made me feel extremely comfortable! Their office is also beautiful and extremelyyyy clean/professional looking. The entire team I encountered was very professional, comforting, gentle, friendly, and knowledgeable! The surgery was very quick and my memory is non-existent of that procedure due to the IV sedation haha, apparently I was "funny" LOL. I was in and out of the office within an hour. Although my memory was foggy, I do remember everything they said before the surgery and I do remember getting out of the chair and saying i felt "very drunk" haha. After the surgery they sent me home with an information pack, the insurance papers I need to submit to my insurance, and prescriptions to settle the pain and a mouthwash. They pre-explained it all to my Mom who was with me and instructions for after care. They said to call back if any issues and they checked in and see how I was doing afterwards! I followed all their instructions and the recovery was honestly a piece of cake!!!! I had 0 swelling AT ALL , 0 bruising AT ALL, and veryyyy minimal pain. I'm just over a week after surgery and everything is healing fantastic! I couldn't have asked for a more professional or gentle surgery team and a speedier or easier recovery (THANK YOU DR. DAVIS AND TASHA - You are the best at your jobs). I was extremely impressed and would very highly recommend Atlantic Oral Surgery! There is no better place to go, they are all the very best! Thank you to the entire Atlantic Oral Surgery team that I encountered, your service and work is top notch and thanks to you guys my wisdom teeth extraction was a smooth and easy peasy!

I was referred to go here in 2015 for top wisdom teeth removal. In October of 2018, I was told I need another wisdom tooth out and a top tooth. When I got asked where I wanted it done, I immediately asked for Dr. Davis of Atlantic Oral Surgery and his team. I've had incredible visits each time I've went. I have really bad anxiety with dentists/dental procedures. When I stepped foot into the office, I felt a bit of relief. What made it even better? every person of the staff that greets you and checks you in, assistants and Dr. Davis himself. They all made everything so much more wonderful. Each one that spoke to me were patient, understanding and were willing to answer any and all questions prior. After I left, a few hours passed and they even called to check up on me and let me know if I have any questions I can always call. :) By far the greatest team of dental workers that I've gotten to know! Ps. Both times I went with them, I've had no swelling or bruising and barely any pain. I'm currently on day 2 of this time but still, no swelling/bruising or any pain from teeth extractions! 10/10. Would highly recommend them to anyone, especially those like me, who have really bad anxiety about this stuff. They definitely eased my anxiety and made the appointment be like a piece of cake! :)

From your first phone call to the time your procedure is completed whether big or small they make you feel comfortable. I had a lot of anxiety about getting oral surgery done and I can honestly say that I would get this done again anytime. I felt no pain, no discomfort the procedure was over before I even realized it had begun. I highly recommend them to anybody. Prices are very, very reasonable in comparison to other oral surgeons and the level of comfort that they make you feel is priceless. Dr. Woodford deserves all the praise in the world she is an angel in the flesh, don't ever let any preconceived notions of a female Surgeon get in the way she's just as good or even better than any male... thank you once again Atlantic oral surgeon and no I was not paid for this review...

My 9 year old son was referred to this office for a procedure. Right from the beginning, the staff were informative, friendly and very willing to answer any questions that I had. The pre-op information provided was perfect. It was very detailed and easy to understand. Electronic reminders and confirmations were very appreciated. The post-op information was also excellent. Upon our arrival at the clinic we were greeted and had very little wait before our consultation. My son was to have his surgery the same day, so he was anxious and had several questions to ask. His nurse Adele, was FABULOUS. We truly could not have possibly asked for any better! I was completely at ease, and she put my son completely at ease. He was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Dr. Davis demonstrated these same qualities. All questions answered, the highest quality of care, patience, kindness and respect. A top-notch facility and experience, thank you!

I received excellent and friendly care for my wisdom teeth removal. They keep you very informed and let you know what to expect in recovery and provide you with lots of instruction for after care. They have you well looked after. They sent me home with perscriptions to make sure I had as comfortable a recovery as possible. Since I was pretty out of it when I left haha, I thought it was very nice that my attending nurse called me later that day and asked how I was feeling and how I was getting along with the perscriptions. Very caring towards their patients and reassuring. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

Here as a family member of someone getting a tooth plucked. Someone waiting. Key takeaways: 1. The layout of the building is weird. Half tricky finding where the clinic is. Inside side door, up the stairs. 2. This couch im sitting in is really comfy. 3. Really interesting business magazines. 4. Half pretty ladies work here. 5. Nicely spaced out waiting room. I have had some very anxious experiences at the dentist. Today however, my appointment was handled with such individualitaty it was beyond comforting. My assigned nurse Adelle (who isn’t a practicer of yoga) heard me from the moment we met. Not only was she with me from moment one, to help me relax she put on soothing music and took deep breaths with me, talked me through every step just like a yoga practice. She answered every question with confidence and ease, the level of professionalism and cleanliness in this office made this appointment a breeze. Their generous after care routine and call to check in just added to my day. Now recovering (with much less pain than expected) with no empty holes in my mouth, just some expertly stitched gums. Thank-you to Dr. Shannon Davis and Adelle (as well as the rest of the team) for today. After seeing three wisdom tooth specialists, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

i wish i had a good experience like everyone else. i'm not one to leave bad reviews i even debated for hours to do this but I've had enough. first when i made my appointment it was a 4 month wait which was fine . the day of my appointment i found out they changed the time of my appointment WITHOUT my permission and not even a 24 hours notice to even see if i was free at that time (only reason i found out was because i called to ask a question if i had to bring anything to my appointment that morning) i mentioned to the secretary that it was unprofessional to do something like that and her excuse made no sense. i even had reminders sent to me with the original time and date but no notice the time was changed? .. anyway i let it go and went to my appointment . after my appointment they tried charging me money when it was supposed to be covered (they were well aware 4 months before when i made my appointment it was covered) i had to put up an argument and even have my insurance call them and tell them they were wrong . i got my refund so again i let it go because things like that can happen . once i saved enough for my surgery i called an told them i had enough so they booked my appointment within 2 weeks . i called in a few days before my appointment and the secretary was unnecessarily rude and saucy . the day of my surgery appointment went well (without issues, big shocker) . my recovery was going well until the weekend i was getting sick and having excruciating pain i couldn't eat or talk i was taking my medications and did everything else as told and i knew something was wrong i was literally suffering . so i called first thing Monday morning and they got me in within a couple hours . i arrived a few minutes early and called when i was in the parking lot like i was told .. i called 6 times within 5 minutes and no answer so i walked in anyways a girl was sitting at the desk and just smiled and i told her i tried calling before coming in and she said "sorry our girls are out for their lunch" which confused me why she couldn't just answer but i was getting used to the secretaries not doing a good job at this point so i didn't even care . as i was sitting in the waiting room i heard the phone ring and i looked over and she answered the phone .. but couldn't answer my call? when i went in the room i was explaining the pain to the nurse she cut me off a few times from speaking and left the room . which was a little frustrating . when Dr. Davis came in i had to explain the pain again and he also started cutting me off and not letting me speak or finish what i had to say which was starting to annoy me at this point . he basically just listened to part of the problem and sent me off . i guess it was because i wasn't putting money in his pocket for taking up 5 minutes of his time so he wasted mine instead . safe to say i'll never be going back here or recommend this place. i felt the need to share my story because i was extremely disappointed about the treatment and lack of respect i was getting . i'd give 0 stars if it was possible .

I have had a lifelong phobia of getting extractions. Petrified, I reluctantly accepted my dentist's advice to get two wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Woodford - who offered IV sedation. I do not remember the experience!! In fact, immediately afterwards, I had to be convinced that it had actually happened. The nurse who administered the IV was professional, kind and rather amazing. I followed the post care instructions and had no difficulties. Thank you for making this experience memorable by making it forgettable!

Highly recommend ! I have extremely bad anxiety, the morning of my appointment I woke up in a sweat, had to get a shower it was that bad, I was so nervous. Got to the office and was greeted by assistants which explained everything that was about to happen. Surprisingly I never passed out ???? Dr.Davis came in then, explained the procedure, he was very nice and understanding of me being nervous I'm pretty sure I even laughed with him , unfortunately that was the last I remember of him lol the nurse came in to set up my IV and I woke up on my Mom's couch ???? Apparently you do say funny things while under iv sedation, so be prepared lol Anxiety and Fear are the last thing you'll be thinking about lol !! It was a comfortable environment, and they seem to do everything possible to make you feel safe ! The crew at Atlantic Oral Surgery & Dental Implants are awesome !

From the welcoming greeting at the reception desk to the professional and friendly manner of both Dr. Woodford and her assistant, Chantal, I was very pleased with my experience at Atlantic Oral Surgery!! After having an x-ray with the state-of-the-art equipment at the clinic, I was informed by Dr. Woodford that what my dentist had thought could be a bone shard that might cause future problems was really just an indentation on the tooth that had been next to a previously extracted wisdom tooth. I was very relieved to hear this!! The atmosphere in the clinic was very positive and it was evident that a 'team approach' was in effect there.

I had a recent visit to Atlantic oral surgery and dental implants to have my wisdom teeth removed. First off I have to tell you that there is no one more scared of dentists than me. The staff at Atlantic quickly turned this around making me feel so comfortable. My dr was dr Shannon Davis who I have to say was amazing along with all the staff. I had two wisdom teeth removed and had to be put asleep. I was nervous of this too but Dr Davis and his team quickly reassured me. I am home typing this as If I had nothing done I feel that good. I went to this appointment a very nervous lady. I explained my anxiety to the nurse who calmed me right away with her encouraging words. As I awaited the procedure the staff kept checking in, reassuring me I shouldn't be nervous, and quickly got to task. Before i knew it I was all ready to go, closed my eyes and it was over. From the moment I arrived, to the followup call from my attending nurse a few hours later, this was more than a 5 star experience. I was extremely nervous and anxious to have my severely impacted wisdom tooth removed and as I write this, I can honestly say I don't even remember getting the needle to freeze my mouth. The IV sedation allowed me to be awake, relaxed and yet have no memory of the procedure. The ladies at the front desk were so kind and professional. Even in their tone when speaking to me gave reassurance. The wonderful nurses were amazing!!! Kind, considerate, understanding, professional, and so very attentive to me. Dr Davis......what a wonderful surgeon!!! Explained everything fully, gave me every possible scenario, answered every question I asked. Very professional and wonderful bed side manners. I HIGHLY recommend Atlantic Oral Surgery & Implant Center. You will not be disappointed!

I literally did not feel a thing besides the small quick pinch from the IV everything after that was smooth sailing. they even went and got me a warm blanket cause I was cold while waiting for the IV fluids to go in my arm. They staff are outstanding !!!! Dr. Davis was fantastic. Nursing staff also fantastic along with the front desk and support staff. I was a little anxious before surgery until I spent a few minutes with Dr. Davis then all my fears and apprehension vanished. Excellent experience, can’t say enough how great the staff interactions was. Everyone was well above standard. From the start the staff have been accommodating and knowledgeable. I received 3 implants and all my concerns and questions where answered and I felt great before surgery and even better afterwards. What a great experience.
