My cracked tooth broke off and my extended benefits were about to run out, they got me in right away that day and found out I needed a root canal. They rearranged their following day, and had me come in for 9 am. I HATE the dentist. I cried in the waiting room, I get so much anxiety. And these people did everything they could to ease the discomfort for me. I got oral sedation, earphones and nice spa music and darkened sun glasses. They put in lots of freezing as well. They were quick and so kind. Highly recommend going there if you are anxious about the dentist.

I've always been afraid of going to the dentist but one of my filling had fell out and they were able to squeeze me in for a consultation/temp fill on Friday then scheduled a permanent fill with a root canal on Monday. I don't know how but I still can't believe my root canal was actually done this morning. No pain at all. They're wonderfully skilled and know exactly what to do. Their office feels clean and organized. They make you feel welcome and are easy to talk to. Their team will take the time to answer and explain any questions or procedure you have.10/10 would definitely recommend.

To my surprise and perhaps as expected I, not even a year later, I am writing a positive review as well. The front desk personal are amazing and professional. This clinic is punctual with their appointments and attend you as scheduled - So don't be late! Dr. Shivji is an amazing person and a true professional. He does not push treatments on you he rather points out concerns and urgency. Dr. Shivji did a procedure on me, something that was badly needed but I had chosen to delay for years... His professional approach incited me to trust him and I wasn't wrong...he did an amazing work - Now, I smile more than I should! Thanks so much!

I just transfered from a small dental office in Vancouver. I, like most people am not fond of the Dentist and dislike going. Newest Smile Dental goes above and beyond for current clients and new clients such as myself. They made me feel instantly comfortable and at ease. Transfering to them was so easy. Janelle at the front desk was very knowledgeable and had a answer for every question I threw at her. The level of customer service is mind blowing. Dr. Shivji, Michaela, and Harpreet were kind and considerate to my needs. Not once was I pressured into any services and I was able to ask questions. I am so pleased with this office. The office space itself is new, clean and professional. They all have a professional work uniform which is nice to see, not just scrubs. Every step of the way they were telling me what they were going to be doing as they were doing it and this put me at ease. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you live in the area and need a dentist go to this office. They also seem to have state of the art processes and procedures. One of the staff even told me off hand about how she learned something from a conference recently so it appears their office supports continuing education which is lovely.

I cannot thank Cheriee enough. I used to be so scared of going to get my teeth cleaned. However Cheriee has changed my dental experience for life she not only thoroughly explained everything to me she also took her time and really put me at ease. She educated me on proper flossing technique I really feel I’ve upped my flossing game since interacting with her. Teeth cleaning experience was great! I advised her of my sensitivities beforehand and she was SO gentle (I'm a total wimp at the dentist because of bad past experiences). The actual dentist guy was super duper friendly, gentle, and informative. The woman who took my photos and x-rays was great :) super friendly front desk staff. The staff are good on talking and welcoming, but not a real quality and knowledge of the field, and no accuracy and caution about your health I don't suggest this dentist instead look for an experienced one with a real experience and not a new born dentist who has only university experience. If you find yourself at this clinic, don't let the do much on you mouth until you make sure about the process. I don't recommend it even for cleaning. Be careful

Knowmatter who was working on me, they were super gentle and always asked if I was doing alright. I had a filling done and I felt nothing! I was so worried going into the appointment, but in the long run was worried about nothing. Everything they did from the needles to the actual work I felt nothing. I probably could of taken a nap that’s how gentle and amazing they are. My first dentist experience in Canada (I am from France and Belgium). After more than 24 hours of tremendous pain from a very badly infected tooth, no eat and no sleep I had the possibility to came in 1 day earlier than an previously made appointment. So I came in, as an emergency, with lot of pain. They did the regular check up, X-Ray and others tooth testing. They saw the infection, told me it was very bad but decided to not do anything!!!!! They were arguing that the tooth was "too" infected to touch it and it would cause me more pain to do so. I started crying, was scared and desperate because I was so much in pain and could not see myself being in such bad condition for longer. They assure me that the antibiotics would help and prescribe me also some awful painkiller. It made me completely stoned and nauseous and I still was in pain!!! I told them that probably if they freeze the teeth and anesthetize it would be ok. (In the past I had also an infected tooth and my dentist in Belgium did this and it worked very well to clean the canal without any pain). They convinced me that it was not possible and I would have to wait DAYS for the antibiotics works. Then they could do it... DAYS!!!!! Come on!!! I came back home crying and still so much in pain all the way back, thinking that dentists in Canada were awful and scared that I would have to wait for days with this pain that did not allow me to sleep or eat. I took the antibiotic and painkiller and had one of the most awful night in my life. The day after, I was still tremendously in pain, crying and nervous. I called an other dentist, recommended by a friend. Came in and they did the check up, saw the awful infection and of course they decided to cure the tooth immediately!! The doctor practice a perfect tooth anesthesia and could cleaned the canal, without any pain. My conclusion to Newest Smile Dental is they really don't know what they are talking about. Now, I am even glad they did not touch me or did any dental intervention. They left me suffering unnecessarily and paying for this "medical examination" + the useless medication was just a big waste money! The X ray was even so bad that it could not be used by the other dentist! So if you have an emergency or something serious to cure I would highly recommend you to go somewhere else. REPLY: I am shocked by the hypocrisis in your reply. No the 24h of your antibiotic did not make any difference as it was even more painfull and as much infected. As shown by the new X-Ray did by the next dentist. You told me yourself it would take DAYS, you mentionned a week or two. If 24 hours would have been enough then why you did not suggest an appointment the next day as it was previously planned?! And YOU convinced me to not touch it as it would be painfull otherwise. I am not a dentist myself and though it was how you operate in Canada. I know now that is not the case. I think you just did not care at all so stop pretending you were professionnal.

Dr. Shivji came into this clinic, faced with numerous patients being handed off mid-way through treatments. I would definitely have to say that he, and his staff, have provided an exceptional level of service and professionalism that is hard to parallel. Have been going to smile dental for a while now. I really love their staff. Dr Shivji is energetic and caring. He only does work that needs to be done and gives you options. He always makes you feel like you are in control of your dental health. The hygienists and front office staff are always pleasant, professional, and willing to help. The hours don't are great too and I can usually get in right away with little hassle. Be it a chipped tooth, a regular cleaning, or trying to decide between Invisalign or braces, they are always easy to get in contact with and service is the best I have had in years. They are great for the whole family. Both my children go there and New West Smile Dental always is a great experience for them. They are never scared to go nor do they dread getting a filing if necessary.

The staff is friendly enough and appointments are always on time, but I've rarely seen the same dentist twice in the last few years that I've visited Newest Smile (I think I've encountered three different dentists). One visit, the dentist couldn't see me because he was preoccupied with another patient. By the time I got home, they called me telling me he was ready for me, but I didn't want to bother with the back and forth. On Day 1, I was also being up sold on services I didn't actually need, but it's otherwise a very clean and quiet atmosphere.

a few weeks ago i had broken my tooth at work during lunch an called in to their office janelle got me in to an appointment right away so that i could have a root canal done they were very kind an accommodating through the whole process an had my appointments booked around work so i did not have to miss any work dr.shivji did a great job an its felt better since i would highly recomend this office to anybody that needs work done they have a great staff that are great at their jobs an care about their patients

Place is big on customer service but is honestly a modern day butcher shop in their practice. Went there after not seeing a dentist for a few years because the dentist makes me nervous. Got a few cavities done at first and it wasn't that bad. But when I came in to have a root canal done it was extremely painful during the process. I wanted a wisom tooth pulled as well and they said best time to do it was after the root canal cause same side. They lied. It was next level pain and I honestly dont even think I was frozen anymore at that point. Felt everything. Still dream about it. After a year of not seeing a dentist after, because of their butcher job, I finally had to go again. I went to sapperton dental across the street to have the wisdom tooth on the other side pulled. And honestly I didn't feel a thing. That made me realize how terrible this place was in it's practice. The dentist that did the butcher job was a ex military dentist and maybe their standards are a bit lower, but it was night and day with the pain between the 2 places. Also they went to town on my insurance for everything 2 stars because they did have good customer service.

After my childhood dentist retired, I spent a good couple years looking for a dentist I could trust in both aptitude and morality. Everything from veneers to dozens of phantom cavities were pushed to me in that time. After the 3rd terrible dentist I tried Newest Smile Dental from a referral and met Dr. Farhan and team which since has been nothing but a great experience. Great staff, no bullsh*t, efficient, friendly, and capable. Although a bit of a drive for me now, I appreciate their skill and service and recommend whole heartedly.

They destroyed my insurance. They claimed nearly $100 for a checkup, so the insurance company did not cover my specialist consult. They told me they always claim complete exam for everyone. My husband did the same exam in different dental clinic, and $45 has been claimed by them. I will never go there again.

The minute you walk in the door the customer service is amazing. I’ve been to at least 1/2 dozen Dentist since my childhood. At New West Smile I’ve had regular cleaning, fillings and Invisalign. I really appreciate, that they take pride in their work and always explain the process.

I have been avoiding getting my last 3 wisdom teeth out due to a terrible experience 30 years ago. I had no idea that this how it could have been! From the front door and everything in between getting my remaining wisdom teeth removed, was polite, friendly, professional and I only had mild discomfort - no pain. As strange as this sounds I enjoyed the whole experience. Top shelf dental company. Thanks everyone!

Was a long time patient of this dental office but they have no respect or appreciation towards patients. Had an appointment for a second step of an implant surgery. I called in on a Wednesday morning to reschedule my appointment on the Friday afternoon coming up, since they need at least a 48 hour notice. A girl named Janelle answered and rescheduled my appointment and told me you have to leave a $500 deposit to reschedule your appointment, which no one had ever mentioned in my last appointment or in the first place or ever. She simply told me you either leave the deposit or I wouldn't be able to help and reschedule your appointment. I told her I will think about it, never heard such a thing before at your office or any other dental office and why was this never mentioned? She said, they should of told you and I am the office manager. I told her in that case I might take my business else where, she said that is perfectly fine. What is upsetting is that me being a long term client, was expecting a little more respect than that. I had given them my trust, loyalty and business. I have never ever been a no show or late to an appointment and never owed a single penny. I called back and asked for her name which she gave me. Funny thing is that she calls back a minute later telling me her name and tells me that your deposit is refundable, so you have nothing to worry about. Same person that told me that is fine to go somewhere else minutes before, lol. Otherwise its not the matter of the $500 deposit, the cost of what they would of done would of been significantly higher than $500. Simply poor office management, will never ever go back and or refer anyone to them ever again. Thank you Smile Dental, please do not contact me ever again!

I am typically terrified of going to the dentist. I managed to avoid it for the last ten years. I finally decided it was time for a cleaning and I picked absolutely right! The staff is incredibly careful and they went to great lengths to make me comfortable. I needed a filling redone, and although this is not pleasant experience, it was the best I could have hoped for. All in all, it lessened my fear of dentists somewhat!
