Worst experience I’ve had ever. Dr. Wong is NO LONGER THERE and Ben. The NEW OWNERS HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PATIENCE FOR THE old patients they are RUDE & Dr. Kim is an idiot doesn’t have any Patience what so ever, his license should be revoked. If you know where Dr. Wong or Ben are please contact me.

I've never had a dentist explain what they were doing and why. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, they were very gentle and encouraged me to keep my teeth in good health without being judgemental on the bad habits I may have formed previously. Usually dentists tell me that even though I floss it's not good enough, New Westminster Sedation & General Dentistry told me to keep up the good work! Also they direct bill insurance which is really helpful.

This is my first google review and I cannot say enough how amazing my experience has been. I hate going to the dentist but thanks Dr. Kim and everyone that has helped me, I've never felt so welcomed and taken care of before. BIG SHOUT OUT to front desk staff, especially ISSY! The customer service has been phenomenal as THAT is the most important thing in any business. I had to get four crowns done that took nearly 2 months, which required multiple visits 1-2 times a week. And my partner got all four wisdom teeth removed which went smoother than expected. Both of us agree that everyone there made the entire process absolutely painless... well the recovery was the painful part but not my experience with New Westminster Sedation & General Dentistry. Highly recommended!!! :)

I am currently having a lot of dental work done at this office including implants, crowns and root canals. I must say that all the staff are very professional and the work is done in a timely manor and with the utmost attention to safety and quality. I have no reservations in recommending this office to my friends and family.

Went in for 6 fillings and they ended up doing 8 fillings without my consent. Imagine my surprise when i came out and they told me the cost. They maxed out my insurance right then and there. The worst part is the fillings are done in a rush. 8 fillings in an hour. My chin bruised up for a week and some of thr fillings were not done properly. I went back there 3 more times have it fixed. But he only re-shaped the filling, didn't bother to investigate further for the pain and sent me away after 10 min. the pain never goes away. How can they used up all my coverage and still leave me in pain. I've been going to this dental office for the past 5 years. I think the owner must have change because all the staff I was familiar with are gone, and this place has become so profit obsessed. I'm switching. Whatever you do, don't get Dr. Lee. He was never there, only there twice a month. So when you were in pain, you cannot go back right away. Unless you wanted to see a difference doctor and paid the cost. Only the same doctor who did your teeth can fix it without a cost.

Wanted to extract wisdoms and do fillings on my 20 year old daughter that were, after a third consultation absolutely unnecessary. They provided no visuals of the x-rays, did not explain anything, and proceeded to bill her for UNNECESSARY work. This was realized after she sought x2 diagnostics later on. Absolutely disgusted with this treatment. Not only did they try to take advantage of my daughter with misleading information, but in my opinion, if I hadn't intervened, would have practised FRAUD.

I've had many procedures done here (check-ups, hygiene, even wisdom teeth removal), and in my visits to different clinics, this one has been the best one by far. They talk you through every procedure they do (and why), and they put your well-being above everything else. They listen to your concerns, and will accommodate any issue, including phobias. Even though I can be a bit of a diva sometimes , they are courteous, and are never rude. They have a nice looking clinic too (good lighting, comfy waiting chairs, and a lot of space). They are conveniently near the sky train, and accessible by wheelchair . Their front staff are very nice too, and will even remember your name. I'll regret it if I ever have to move to a new location away from this clinic, and as long as I live close enough, I'll try to keep returning.

I have been going there since they open. They were ok. This time i got Tom Lee dentist and i was told i had 1 cavity but needed work on 12 teeth... i have good teeth... i went for a second opinion not only did they lie about the cavity ( i told them i had sensitivity) but all of my dental work is fine and None need replacing. Its not because we have insurance that they should order useless work to get insurance money. Avoid and find an honest dentist and save your teeth useless drilling.

I had a bunch of work done through these guys recently and was blown away at how well they all worked together. So skilled. They know exactly what they are doing and their attention to detail is unbelievable. They constantly asked how I was doing during the procedure... making it very obvious they were aware there was a human at the end of the drill. I love you guys very much. Thank you all so much for your dedication to your practice. Whoever does the hiring here knows what's up.

been going here for 6yrs used to be THE place looking forward to see and do your teeth clean .But after new staff and dentist everything went down hill .Service so bad receptionist a little stuck-up dentist in a hurry to finish your procedure and BEWARE when your BENEFITS not 100% be preapare to pay lot!.They ask you to do your own inquries on your benefits.NEVER PAY $856,IN ONE VISIT!!! reason im over my limit .Moved the whole family across the st. way better service.

Was going here for over two years but have since decided to go elsewhere after being cancelled on twice in a row. Over the course of a month, I tried to book a cleaning appointment but due to no longer living in the area and working downtown, I was limited on what appointments I could take. The second cancellation just instigated my need to go somewhere that was more convenient for me. I’m not sure if my experience has anything to do with the major changes in staff this year but prior to all this, I had no issues with this office/former staff.

The best! I hate the dentist but these guys make you comfortable as possible. I needed a lot of work done because, again, hate the dentist... they made it easy. Also, they are quick and on time; no waiting forever in the lobby while you think about your anxious fear of the dentist.

Absolutely hands down not a great dental office to go to when I wanted a second opinion from a different dental office they took offense to the fact that I'm getting a second opinion and question why I'm getting a second opinion. Just recently Phone to cancel an appointment it took me three times to repeat to them that the appointment was canceled two weeks ago I do not understand why they don't understand it was canceled that shows you that the lack of communication between the patient and the clinic is not there

I wanted to switch dentists because of a horrible experience at mine. (I am not here to bad talk so, I will leave out the details). I saw this office in passing and decided to google them and see what they were all about. After talking to the reception staff, I decided to make an appointment. I can say that I am so glad that I made the call. Not only was Sarita nice but she was so understanding of my anxiety I get at the dentist. She was super gentle and explained everything I needed without sounding pushy. Next I met Dr. Shin. She was amazing as well.So soft spoken. Very sweet. I have had a broken front tooth for 20 years that was patched up with porcelain temporarily. Every Dentist I had seen for those 20 years told me I needed an implant... something that I knew I couldn't afford. Dr. Shin quickly and confidently said "I can crown that!" You have no idea the happiness that I felt when I heard that! I could finally have my smile back! I work in retail and that smile is so important to me. We booked in for me to have it done. I then met Cherrie. She was funny, energetic and so friendly throughout all of my prep for my crown. All I can say is, what a wonderful office you guys have! Please keep up the good work. If you have a fear of the dentist, this is the place for you. Thank you!

Horrible receptionist due to covid my boyfriend was sick an she told him due to him not making that appointment then tells me she needs a doctors not for today as she wanted him to get one okay so you clearly don't know the new rules that you do over the phone consults you can't just walk into places he wasn't aloud to go there an then continued to be rude thats not a fair policy an i don't recommend going here they have maybe one good lady who does teeth but they have left so many problems on other teeth they worked on I will be finding a new dentist an they are over priced

My wife and I have been going to this dental clinic for about two years. Neither of us has serious issues with our teeth so we're probably easy patients to please (and we have a decent coverage, which helps). Nevertheless, the service here was always very good, everyone, from the receptionist to the assistant to the actual dentist, was very friendly and competent.

Dr Lee is always such a kind face to see, he removed my wisdom teeth last year and he treated me with the best care and did an amazing job explaining everything to me prior to the procedure. Even for a simple check up now he makes me feel so warm and welcome and safe!!! The front desk staff always are very easy to talk with, and never fail to greet me with a smile. I have always felt anxiety at dental offices but here I am much at ease. I definitely recommend Dr Lee to anyone seeking a new dentist!!!!

Terrible customer service. I had specifically requested that ALL my historical records be transferred because I have some complications I wanted to address immediately/in my first appt. I said if there was any problems to let me know, so that I could sort it out well in advance of my appt. Which I booked weeks in advance so that any problems could be sorted out. They only asked for x-rays. If you book an appointment and don't confirm it days in advance they will cancel it on you. But again they won't tell you that in advance.

Worst and shocking behaviour by the girl at the front desk, she is arrogant, rude and unprofessional. She yelled at me saying that they charge me extra if i cancel the appointment, first of all i made an appointment with my dentist who was absoluetly great but my dentist was never there on that day i had to reschedule it, the adminstration is worse. They disrespect people, they over charge people without letting them know DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE i have consulted my legal team regarding it and i will make sure these guys license is revoked, i am going to talk to BC Health Services as well they disrespected me, over charged, they do frauds with patients by taking extra money, the Manager i talked to Kim was so biased, he said he will do an investigation but i already know his answer. I am going to get in contact with their owner Tom Lee and take it further on Social Media about this. Better get yourself a good lawyer.

Massive staff changeover in the last few months has left me and my family hanging high and dry. Saw the writing on the wall when, all of a sudden, was having to wait almost an hour for my SCHEDULED appointment. Oldest son was nearing the end of prepaid orthodontic care and, since they had asked his orthodontist to leave, just cancelled upcoming appointments with no offer to finish off what we had already paid for. Definitely has gone from patient oriented to profit oriented. Nothing wrong with making profits as long as the patients still get care. Will never recommend this office or any of their other four locations to anyone.

I read the negative reviews but still decided to give them a shot. Please save your time and money and go elsewhere. The dental team here is not attentive they will give you a quote for everything possible and say you need it all done ASAP. They do not tell you what is most important, they go over everything you "need" to get done and leave you with the receptionist to figure it out. I have dental anxiety and have not visited a dentist in 2 years. The the dentist here was pushing me to get all this work done and get 4 wisdom teeth out, even though they were not bothering me. When I asked if I could wait until my coverage resets in January, he rudely responded with "well you've waited this long". The dentist was also pushing me for IV sedation (for cleaning and fillings) when I insisted I didn't need it. I decided to try another dental office and I am so happy that I did! The new office came up with a plan for the work I needed to get done and for the stuff that could wait. I was able to do cleaning and fillings with freezing- no IV sedation required.

This was my first visit and I felt well taken care of. All my needs were met and extra time set aside for my procedure without having to re-book and come back in. My hygienist was very personable as were the dentists. I even received a follow up phone call after my appointment which was very refreshing. I work at a dental office, I had called to request for xrays for a patient that was going to start coming to our office. The receptionist was very rude. I told her that I didn't receive the xrays but she kept insisting that she sent them. I asked if she could resent them and she wasn't very happy. Finally when I received them there was a bunch of numbers at the bottom of them xrays I wasn't sure of the date. I called them back again, the receptionist was very rude and said that I should look carefully at the bottom of the xray. I don't understand why would you not be kind enough just to give the information requested instead be very difficult about it. That was very unprofessional of her to do so. She should perhaps go back to school and take the receptionist course all over again.

I do have bad anxiety at dentist since 14yo I decided to get treatment under I.V sedation. I got teeth removal and fillings, crowns. Be very careful with this place, they don't really care about you as a person at all. They will try and trick you in to giving them consent to do what ever that want to you, with out having to letting you know and make you pay for it. After getting me to fill out your standard forms, after my first exam consultation, Xrays. After we discussed that I wanted to have happen and on the day of surgery, in the dental chair I was hand another contract, which has a paragraph that sad " I further authorize and consent to the performance of any other additional procedure(s) that in judgment of the doctor is advisable for my well being." This by the way would allow the doctor to do any thing they wants. That means they could pull out all your teeth if they wanted to, hell they could give you a Botox treatment if they wanted to, not let you know ( remember they do use anesthesia ), and weather or not you tell them that you barley have the money, for the procedure you went in to do to begin with. In a court of law all they have to say is that you didn't, then it becomes hearsay. So in the end it's all about what you can prove. So it would not matter what you say, because if you sign that contract your bound by it and that's what a court would look at. It is important to note that any contract can be amended, by that I mean if you don't like what's in it you can change it. Either by crossing out parts or righting in the margins, don't get stuck because you think that you have no choice, you do! I have saver anxiety and am prown to panic attacks so going to the dentist is difficult for me. I was in no condition mentally to be sighing a contract like that. I should not have had to sign a contract in the dentist chair just prior to sugary. I should not have had to sign that contract at all. This is the first time Iv ever dealt with this place, all other dentists Iv dealt with I've never been made me sign this. I found the doctor to be quiet rude and forceful, however her nurse and counter staff seemed to be quiet nice. Oh and by the way she left out what kind of surgery was to be done and charged for the wrong tooth on my bill and was to be very upset with me when I changed the contract to only do what was covered by my insurance. Even thou I know to emend contracts and I know to cross out paragraph. I was so anxious and not really thinking straight I forgot to put in "Only if I agree to the procurers can they be done' . I shutter to think what she would have done to me had I been nocked out by anesthesia. Had Iv been thinking straight I would have walked out a found a different dental office to go to. In closing, I would not trust this dental clinic at all, I whole heartedly believe that this place is only into getting as much money as they can from you but truly don't give a dame how stressed, or about any financial hard ships that they may inflict on people. I mean think about, Why put something like that in to a contract if they have never or would never do something like that? Why would they need to? Unless they have already done it in the past and are planning on doing it in the future? Remember at the end of the day, It's your body so your choice, don't let someone take that choice away from you. Don't go here, If you do protect yourself.

It’s been about three years since I came here. Staff are always friendly and aware of my treatment plans. I also been to another branch to get my wisdom teeth extraction done under IV sedation by Dr. Lee. And now, Dr. Lee comes here as well so that I can get any dental treatment or oral surgery under IV here by him. And it is always clean. Strongly recommend this office.

I literally went into this place with heavy heavy pain. Told me they would help me with Sedation and pull 3 teeth and a filling. Im STILL in the exact same pain as when I walked through the door cause I Apperntly " moved around " too much. Really feel like I got ripped off. Should not go into a dentist with this much pain and walk out in even more pain!!!!!

We have seen fraudulent charges on our insurance. They play it really well. Carefully check your insurance and keep checking for 2 years. We never asked them how much was our visit assuming it's all good. But later found out that for a 10-minute cleaning visit they'll charge you for 45 minutes to an hour. We didn't want to go through the hassle of reporting them. Therefore decided to change the dentist in 2019. After a lot of back and forth, they finally sent our scans to the new dentist. Last year in January, we found a charge for cleaning on our Insurance and the name was different. Checked on google and found nothing. We called the insurance company and found out that it was a dentist from New Westminster Sedation. We reported that as a fraudulent charge, but these guys say it's a charge from last year and apparently they do not keep digital records, therefore, will have to go through the papers to check why they charged us twice. There's also a charge on our credit card and unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to stop them from doing insurance fraud. The best thing we could think of is leaving this review to help others protect themselves and report anything similar. Our new dentist gives us an exact cost of each visit prior and informs us of any changes on the way if needed. You must get a receipt and ask questions to ensure they're not overcharging you. Also, make sure to check your insurance after your visit and the next year. These guys are not scared to charge you fraudulently and are abusing a flaw in the system. Avoid going there if you do not want to go through the hassle.

I have been a patient here for a few years. The service by the staff here used to be amazing, however not anymore. I get emails to remind me of my cleaning, but the last few times I have emailed back to book in, no one replies. The emails come from a receptionist named Coti. She has made big mistakes in my fiancé’s booking, and then she gives us a snappy attitude when questioned about it. I find it to be very unprofessional that you cannot reply to someone to book them an appointment. I have booked all my appointments over emails before and it was never a problem until now. Ben the previous manager is gone now and that is too bad cuz this office has gone very down hill. Unfortunately they have lost me as a patient, and I won’t return. Thanks to Coti.
