I contacted the office to get an "emergency appointment" because of a major toothache. I was thankful they were able to squeeze me in the following day. After a couple of x-rays, I learned that my tooth required a root canal or to be pulled and that I had another tooth showing signs of an abscess. I was told by the dentist filling in for my regular dentist that there wasn't time to do the work that day but, to book an appointment to come back. I was shocked when I was given Jan 16th as my appointment date! I explained that my tooth is aching 24/7 and that it would be torture for me to wait that long. But, as told to me by the dentist my only option is to pay an oral surgeon to have the work done. Reception explained that it would be of no use for me to seek assistance at the Hospital's ER dept. and said I would be notified if there was a cancellation. I just don't get it...are patients seriously supposed to wait 2 1/2 months to have a major toothache taken care of? I understand that patients must "wait in line and take their turn" but, is there no accommodation for a patient who is in immediate need of pain relief? UPDATE: I am happy to say I heard from Dr Biasucci Friday evening and he explained the date was not applicable in my case, it was just to get me entered into their system and said that I would be contacted within a week to have my problem tooth fixed.

My son and I both have anxiety regarding dentist visits. As new patients we were treated in an exceptional manner and were made to feel very comfortable. The staff are amazing and did not make light of our nervousness, which has happened to us. A wonderful experience.

Was not impressed at all! I have very bad anxiety and I mentioned this to them several times telling them I want to be put under for my wisdom teeth extraction and they told me it was not a problem and I told them at every appointment prior I have very high anxiety and I want to be put under because they told my husband they would put him under and they didn't they only froze him and I didn't want the same thing happening to me ...well it did!!!! I even went as far as to explain to them THAT DAY!!!! I have anxiety I want to be put under!!! And they told me yes no problem we will put you under they froze me and gave me something to calm me down for a second I was awake and in pain I will never go back and never recommend!

Whether you’re 6 or 106, this is the best Dental office in town. The staff are helpful and extremely friendly. The beautiful waiting room has an obundance of drinks and snacks plus a computer to use and the news is playing on the flatscreen TV. The children’s area is extremely clean and the kids love it in there. My son was terrified of visiting the dentist, now he won’t stop asking when we can go again lol. Thank you Northern Dental Care!!!

I say this not to slander, not to make a bad name but to make sure the public knows, I wouldn't want this happening to anyone. What an absolute nightmare you have become. I've been going to this office for a number of years now, it used to be so much better than it is now well until the regular doctor I was seeing moved away and no one could even let me know oh hey your Dr. You really liked, yeah he's gone but don't worry we got you covered. I even referred so many of my friends and family to go here. Not any more. My last procedure was my worst nightmare come true, and now I have to suffer in pain for a month just to go through it all again. And the one before that was not good either to say the least. Maybe instead of treating your patients/clients like another mouth that needs fixing and payment that needs taking . You treat people with the courtesy, kindness, patience, and empathy we all deserve. You have no care for what happened to me and it's clear in your responses to me about this situation thus far. Yes I signed an consent form but the fact remains your doctors were terrible they messed up and instead of taking accountability and being honest and compassionate let's just cover it up and make it go away. and couldn't perform the procedure in it's entirety, I'm not sure why and I'd like to know why someone would perform a procedure without fully knowing if they could or not and to just give up and say "I'm sorry I can't do it" but you broke the damn tooth now and now I have to have it cut out. I've been sitting here in pain crying, this is the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life and I've dealt with tooth pain before including exposed roots/nerves and you tell me to come in only to see the same 2 doctors who messed me up in the first place or come the next day. I don't trust them, I don't trust your office, and I don't trust the specialist you have coming to fix it because of what happened to me and how you're all treating this. It's clear cut and simple, just do the right thing. I did nothing wrong, I have and am suffering.

Went there with a chipped tooth and they essentially filled it so I had 2 teeth glued together as one. The dentist preferred to work fast and messy then take the time to fix it properly. I then had extreme pain because they put pressure on the roots and needed a root canal done. I had 4 visits over the one tooth they didn't initially fix properly and was charged every visit. A year later I had that same tooth crack right in half around where they filled. Never went back.

Ridiculous turn over rate. Never once had the same Assistant and even rarely had the same dentist. Had an ongoing problem for over a year and they diagnosed me wrong 3 times instead of just listening to me in the first place. Horrible.

Absolutely horrible! Made me pay for an appointment that was not actually done. "Lost" all of my appointments. And then when they finally decided to treat me the dentists were extremely rude. After they were confronted about everything they decided to shut out any complaints and refuse to answer to the fact that they performed some malpractice. Wouldn't recommend them for anyone. As now there will be a massive complaint about Dr. Biasucci to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

My girl friend just had a terrible experience. This dentist office claims they provide emergency care, but would not assist. She scheduled an appointment, which took a week to get in (even though its an emergency). They did an xray and was told they will not help her. It was a broken tooth with some infection. They denied to help her and was told to try another place which could take 2 weeks to get in. They wouldn't do a cleaning or nothing for her. It is a dentist job to help people with their teeth especially in an emergency situation. Unless its a child I do not recommend this place. It seemed like a lot of laziness and no willingness to help at all. Not much information provided by the so called doctor on the situation. Very disappointed.

The female dentist spoke to me in a rude tone of voice. They would not help me with my situation so they reffered me to another location. I tried to get into see a dentist the first day for an emergency as it said I could on the website but I did not and I had to wait for almost a week with horrible pain and almost having to go to the hospital. I would not recommend going to see a dentist there at all.

I have to officially say, I now love gas! Well....I'm sure you know what I mean. Having had to have a piece of a filling replaced before I even went in for my first visit (so grateful for that by the way), Dr. Biasucci used gas and it completely changed the experience for me. Thank you! I can't say enough about the staff. The doctor himself, Christina, Leeann and Angela are all very professional and instill a sense of calm and welcome. The front desk staff, so much more than receptionists, are amazing as well. Looking forward to discussing options with Angela and my next appointment for a filling and a replacement. Went in a few weeks ago for a cleaning and initially I felt pressured into more procedures, I was told I needed “preventative fillings” and that I didn’t have nice teeth anymore by the dentist who recommended them. I also felt very pressured into getting a wisdom tooth surgery which I eventually got. Come October I got the fillings and I have still been experiencing pain. On top of that the wisdom surgery did not go as expected and my mom and I tried to voice our concerns and the response of the nurses and staff was all about what they did right about that I signed paper work and they did everything right. Over all I feel used for my benefits, I don’t feel known or valued as a patient I feel like a source of income for obviously unnecessary procedures. My family and I will be switching to a new office, Northern dental used to be a great office. But as of late they have completely changed my mind and I don’t recommend anyone visit them unfortunately.

They've always been kind and patient with me. If a dental emergency comes up, they often see me the same day. The office and reception area is layed out in a way that is very inviting and relaxing. What I value more than anything about all of the staff is their patience with my anxiety about getting dental work done. They're flying an oral surgeon in from Toronto in a couple of months to take care of my teeth, and I couldn't be more thankful. I've never had a bad experience there. The lengths they will go to in order to help me is humbling, and I have a need in my heart to thank them.

Both my children are now terrified of dentists. This place is no place to bring your children. This is what happens when you get dentists with zero experience. Ask yourself why there is a huge turnover of dentists here. The place may look nice but they lack proper training. Go elsewhere!

Most business's logically are geared for profit and as such seldom reflect business away from themselves. During this visit the attending physician felt that while they could do the work themselves, it might result in complications or avoidable discomfort. Without so much as a second thought putting the patient first, the doctor referred me to a dental surgeon who did not work for Northern Dental other than as an affiliate. Following the doctors advice I've made an appointment with the surgeon as suggested. Thank you Northern Dental for putting your patients needs ahead of personal profit. This is a true mark of trustworthy professionalism. I look forward to utilizing Northern Dental services as a first choice when further needs arise. Cheers!

I Did not think highly of the female dentist I saw there. She was in my opinion quite rude. Her bedside manner so to speak was much to be desired. Certainly didn't make me feel comfortable. Seemed to care less about my pain couldn't help nor advise me in a professional way and made me feel as though I didn't matter. I had heard this before about this dental clinic but thought it had been exaggerated. Only good thing they did was refer me to a Real dentist that can actually help me. Won't waste my time there ever again. Certainly won't be referring anyone I know there. Front desk was nice as was the young lady that brought into the office.

I had heard many great things about this dental practice. However, I was disappointed in the care I received, I am not from the Sault and just needed an emergency dental appointment. The front staff and the dental hygienist were all lovely and helpful. The dentist that saw me did not seem to understand my needs or why I was there and overall I left feeling like my issue had not been addressed. Furthermore, I waited in the chair for 50 mins to be seen by that dentist.

Waited 2 hours in the waiting room before I went to the front desk asking if there was a problem..they said they thought I “left” without checking the waiting room. My fiancé had 3 root canals done and they still managed not to get the root out. Don’t bother going here.

I made it to my appointment despite icy roads, snow packed hwy, and a very precarious driveway and was on time. When I made the appointment I told them that I needed a tooth pulled, and they responded that it could not be guaranteed...I took that to mean that they couldn't guarantee pulling the tooth prior to seeing it. I made it abundantly clear that I had to hire a handicap van and that I am not mobile and sitting is extremely painful. By the time I saw a dentist I was told that would have to wait for 2 hours to get the tooth pulled even though she admitted it would take just a few minutes. Since I am in a wheel chair I told her I was unable to sit that long because it is too painful She absolutely did not care and made it very clear that it was up to me to stay or go.. I had to leave because of the pain. It also cost me $70 to rent a red cross handicap van to get to the dentist appointment. I recognise that the dentist is young and feeling pretty good about herself but I think that she missed an opportunity to show empathy and to do the right thing. To add insult to injury I just received a bill for $88 part of the being $60 for an exam, my exam consisted of the dentist telling me they couldn't help me because it was "Government Day" and they were overbooked. A terrible travelling day and a terrible appointment. Update Northern dental apologised and are taking care of the bill, so I'm satisfied with the experience

I don’t know how these guys have over 4 stars... shady and careless.. they told me I had to replace all of my silver fillings and screwed them all up when they did and my teeth have been so sensitive it’s barely tolerable (oh and they also did the same to my boyfriend). I moved over to PHI dental and they had to replace them all AGAIN. PHI took very good care of me and has never taken advantage of my benefits.

I was experiencing jaw pain and tooth sensitivity and I had been to northern dental office complaining about it for over one year. I was frustrated and went to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out I had a big dental abscess for over a year. I was at northern dental regularly for cleanings and I felt he did not listen. So happy I made the switch and left Northern Dental. Everyone at this office seem to genuinely care about not just your dental hygiene, but you as a person. I tend to ask quite a lot of questions as I like to understand what is going on with my teeth and the female dentist was very helpful, super nice and made me feel comfortable. They let you watch TV throughout the dental procedure. As someone who experiences a lot of anxiety about dental visits, I can't recommend this office enough.

Covers for your foot wear help keep the areas clean. Up to minute equipment to provide you with the best of dental attention. Being greeted by all staff by name with a pleasant smile help to put me at ease. Through the guidance from the helpful and knowledgable staff I have developed a consistant approach to flossing and care of my teeth and gums that has resulted in no cavaties and reducing dental visits to every nine months. The cleaning process has been reduced in time in the chair by the hygienists as well. I highly recommend the Northern Dental facility for all your dental needs. Visit was professional as well as comfortable. In this episode, the hygienist recognized that there was some residual epoxy from orthodontic work and notified the doc. The doc explained what he could do about it, addressed my concerns about him digging into the underlying enamel and simply took care of it, then and there, after the exam. No additional appointment necessary. That was my last checkup.. all have been similar in this way. I recommend this team to anyone.

This is an amazing office. Such personalized service. Everyone is so nice and supportive. They explained everything after the exam and showed me images that were taken so I could understand what the problem was and make an informed decision for treatment. At previous dentists, I was only told what I needed and never knew for sure if a treatment was necessary or an option. Dr. Dan was very thorough and made me feel at ease. He did an amazing job making my smile look like new again. I feel lucky to have found them. Will definitely be returning and highly recommended!

I felt important to them from the time i walked through the door.i was scared and embarrassed....but the staff treated me like i was a queen.i left there with a smile on my face and truly happy.when my appointment came around i was excited and nervous ....but Dr B and his staff joked with me and i left there smiling...and with an amazing smile and alot of faith.thank you for making me feel like i matter.looking forward to my next visit.

Had some root canal work done there recently. Very friendly staff. No pain during the procedure and none afterwards either. Root canals aren't the most exciting life experience, but they Northern Dental Care made it as comfortable as possible. I love the TV's on the ceiling...very cool. I am always well received by the receptionist staff. They greet me by name which makes me feel welcome. The waiting area is comfortable and warm. I enjoy being at the dentist because I get to wear cool glasses, have a massage, and watch TV or enjoy the music and I leave with a treat bag. Am I really at the dentist? I receive great care.
