I've been going to Square 1 Dental for 12 years and my wife has been going for over 30 years. I recommended the dentists here to my brother and he was thoroughly impressed and extremely happy with the service, from getting a quick appointment to the quality of the work (and he's not easy to please). Every member of the team from the reception I get coming into the office to the hygienists and dentists has always been fun and professional. Couldn't recommend a better practice!

I have been going to Dr Nancy and the dental hygienists here for over 10 years. Dr. Nancy is not just skillful but she cares about her patients. I had a bad experience with another unexperienced dentist while I was away in school. Dr. Nancy provided a second opinion and saved my teeth without making me go through an unnecessary root canal and fillings. Other than regular check ups, I have had my mouth guard made, wisdom teeth pulled here. Everything went so well without much pain. Even though I moved out of town, I still came back here for all my dental work because I trust the team here.

Awful place. Unprofessional, plus attitude & tone. Most importantly they try to make money off you. If there's something you catch them with-- they get all defensive. Be aware of how much they try to take out of pocket or insurance. Plus, i've even overheard a conversation from a patient leaving the front desk; he said, "I need more work up there? I never requested that, why are you guys ordering this, I came to only get the bottom done and that's it". They're excuse was that they already started so they insisted he has to pay and he brushed them off. These people are pushy towards making money off you, thinking we buy it..with their fake smiles and blunt attitude. Their service is worse then seeing a medical professional from a 3rd world country!

What an awful place...if I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is extremely unprofessional and they're looking for ways to get money off of you. I newly found out about this place and I had an appointment with the dentist and he told me take make another appointment to see me again. Which took a 2 month wait. Today, was my appointment after the 2 month wait and all the doctor did was look at my teeth (like he did the first time he saw me) and recommenced me to see the specialist!! Like seriously?? he could've told me the first time he seen me. Instead, he decided to make me wait 2 months just to tell me to see the specialist and then take $60 away from me. I thought I could trust this dental place but all that they've proven to me is that they don't care about your teeth but the money they'll be recieving from you. I noticed this issue is not something I'm only having. Many people have complaints regarding the same issue on the reviews here. Never in my life have I seen such carless, unprofessional dentists. They have made me very upset with the amount I had to pay, the dentists' attitude and for making an appointment that took 2 months just for him to say "see a specialist". Please, please, please do not waste your time and money!!

I will never understand why people don't like to go to the dentist. I have been a patient at Square One Dental for 20+ years and have always had an amazing experience. The staff and dentists are most accommodating. I recently had a emergency in which a crown came detached. The reception staff were able to get me in to assess the situation and Dr. Laurie was able to recommend a treatment plan and put my anxieties to rest. The staff is friendly and courteous. They give you the time to explain any concerns regarding your treatment with financial options that might be available. I was a long time patient of a dentist who was no longer practicing in the area and Square One Dental has become my new dental practice. Extremely rough when I had a cleaning done a little while ago, think hygienist name was Justine or Christine. Only had the top teeth done and switched clinics, I even had to have it numbed because it was too painful, and that didn't help much. When I had the bottom teeth done at another clinic, night and day difference. I didn't need the numbing at all as they were more gentle. The service also seemed rushed, but the staff seemed friendly.

Not a reliable dentist (Dr. Al-Hashimi). Patient ended up in the hospital after visiting this dentist. The hospital said he should have done more but all he did was took his money and sent him home. Now he has to have surgery. If I could give him a minus I would!!!!

Doctor and hygienist are great. Front desk needs to mind their manners. Rude and condenscing interaction despite being a client for over a decade. If not for the Dr., this family would have chosen a different establishment. I have already chosen to take my services elsewhere, but others are willing to tough it out. No need for the receptionists to roll their eyes and for my senior mom to be told off while politely asking for a senior discount (which has been applied over the years). The rudeness is completely unnecessary - especially when it was done loudly and in front of everyone in the open area check-in. Other dental offices (including those on OpenCare) provide assistance. I recommend others to look elsewhere at other dental operations, if you need the extra care. Some are even offering a lower rate.

I don't always look forward to it as I have very sensitive gums, but on this visit, they had made note of it in my file, so the cleaning was not as painful (sensitivity) as it sometimes is, and I was offered a treatment to assist with the sensitivity. We visited this morning for potentially getting a cavity filling for my husband. The doctor charged us $80 for a 5 minute diagnostic exam that did not even include an X-ray to check for other cavities. The dentist concluded in less than 5 minutes ,after tapping only the tooth my husband was intermittently experiencing pain in,that he didn’t need a filling. Quickest $80 ever spent. Unimpressed and dissatisfied.

I have been going to this clinic for over 15 years specifically to see Dr. Nick! He is the best dentist i have dealt with. Unfortunately, he retired and there was change of management. I am extremely disappointed with the new team specially the billing department. After my last visit they asked me to pay for an outstanding balance that my insurance didn't cover from 3 years ago! I have visited the clinic multiple times, as I am a regular patient there, and during the 3 years not once did they mention that the insurance didn't cover it. When I questioned that its been 3 years and this is the first time you mention it, the receptionist didn't give me a clear answer and wasn't helpful! At that moment I decided to pay it and never go there again because of their shady and unclear billing. They definitely don't value their loyal client and are not transparent with them. Also, most of the dentist are new and do not recommend them.

I tried this place for me and my wife. Good thing is it is easy to get an early appointment, if you are not looking for a specific dentist. I filled my cavity twice there and the filling did not survive for long. For my wife we consulted a dentist there and we wanted to know how long the tooth removal process takes because she wanted to go to work after that. The dentist did not give proper answer and we were disappointed. I know there are many better dental clinics in Mississauga than this

DO NOT GO HERE! Well, unless you want vast amounts of money to come out of your bank account. I was supposed to have a procedure done here for $1000 as they had a special at the time. However once I had the procedure done not only did they charge double the price for the procedure at the office, they kept withdrawing money from my mom's credit card due to "dentist fees." When you phone their office you make your initial appointment, the people there seem super nice. They're also really nice while you're at the office. However, once you phone them about financial issues, they really, really do not want to talk to you. The receptionist there blows us off every time we phone or email, and says that she "really doesn't have the time to talk to us." Talk about professional.

My only concern is they are always running behind my son's appointment was at 10:45 we were there 5 mins early but they didn't take him until 11:20 - then the doctor went for lunch and we just left after his cleaning as we had other appointments to go to. Sundays are great but not enough staff. Over all it is great just have to improve on taking the patients on time.

To me, Square One Dental is the ultimate place to get any dental work done, and more. So let me count the ways: State of the art equipments. Super nice receptionists, doctors, dental hygienists and dental assistants - I mean everyone there is so nice. It's the only dental practice I know of who are actually punctual (and I have been to many) - even I was late on a couple of occasions, but not the them. Another thing, I don't have a dental insurance, so they chip in and help me with a little discount. I am currently doing a year of travelling volunteer work and was experiencing a lot of pain regarding my wisdom teeth. I was not able to make it home to see my dentist so I called Square One Dental hoping to find some sort of help. Initially the receptionist was so welcoming and kind and helped me arrange an appointment on such short notice. When I went in the office staff was even more caring then on the phone. They worked with me while I tried to arrange my dental insurance from back home and were very patient and helpful. Dr. Susan treated me with care and compassion and was so amazing to work with. After everything she took the time to personally email my dentist from home what her thoughts and suggestions were and also email my X-Rays along. Although I am not from Mississauga, I would totally reccomend Square One Dental. Great experience with a great staff.

WARNING, my sister went in to get her wisdom tooth removed, ended up with a hole in her mouth that was collecting bacteria and needed to see 2 specialist and get surgery, this place does not care, forget a refund or maybe they could have offered to cover the surgery, but no they just don't care at and would not even admit responsibility. Let me start by saying I haven't been to the dentist in about 15 years, my family never really had much money and I was thankful to get to go in my childhood, but I realized that I desperately needed to break that 15 year streak of good dental health in the past week I had woken up to a pounding toothache one day and realized I needed to go to a dentist (without insurance), naturally my first google search took me here. I asked for an appointment to have a tooth removed, I was told that they needed to take an xray and do an exam first. Which I understand perfectly, no one wants to be liable for pulling the wrong tooth. When I get in for my appointment the doctor lets me know the price quote for the tooth I want pulled (about $50-75), which is great, they're still going to go through with pulling my tooth as far as I know. After the xrays and inspection I get my mouth frozen, huzzah I'm on my way to tooth pull city! But then I hear drilling and I become pretty worried, and after 30 minutes of not being able to talk I sit up and rinse my mouth to be told that I've gotten the first half of cleaning out the tooth and it's going to cost me about $200. Being the polite guy that I am, I respect that he just did a great job alleviating my dental distress and just accept this. "They'll pull it on my subsequent visit!" Whoops, I was wrong. I make it very clear on my follow up visit that I would not be able to afford the costly procedure he had in mind. I inquire about a payment plan, because otherwise the tooth needs to be pulled, I didn't want to waste this mans time and skill on something I could not pay for. He says yes, and to ask about it at the front desk after he finished, naturally I give him the go ahead for the procedure after that. An hour later I've got a full root canal and filling finished, I'm extremely grateful to the doctor and he even threw in a 10% discount! But when I got to the front desk and asked about the payment plan, they refused to let me have it. I understand that I wasn't a long time customer, and that is not the issue in the slightest. I was given an operation under completely false pretenses and my expected $50-75 dollar visit turned into a total of $950. Now don't get me wrong, they did an absolutely fantastic job fixing my tooth, flawless work and in the case of actually getting work done, I couldn't recommend them more for it. But the procedure was not something I had wanted in the first place! I'm just a humble man with a simple job and I don't make a lot of money, I made this very clear to my doctor before anything was started. I honestly dont know what to do about this situation or who to turn to. The only thing I can think of doing is writing out the story of my experience with this dentist office and hope that the same thing doesn't happen to someone else. I thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that whatever dental issue you might have gets sorted out.

The dentist-named Nick Hawrylyshyn was having a phone conversation while he was doing the dental work. Also, he rubbed on my breast with his elbow multiple times and pushed down my jaw so hard that I had jaw pain for weeks. I am planning to call police to sue this guy. I did dental work elsewhere for wisdom teeth pullout but no dentist does this. I don't understand why the ratings are so high. I was screaming while he was doing this, but he did not stop.

Today was my first deep cleaning visit, came ten mins early, they were able to start right away, the hygienist seems to know what theyre doing. And the cleaning charge is inexpensive, even if you don't have insurance coverage it is still consider affordable. I chose this location because its close to my work. The male doctor was not attentive and responsive. I was charged 55 dollars of consultation fee without the doctor doing anything. The doctor just used a hook tool to buckle my teeth for few seconds , which I feel very incompetent in his part.After that ,he just said that he don’t saw any problem on my teeth, and did not ask me any further questions nor recommendations or opinions. ! I came to see dentist because my teeth doesn’t feel good and is not okay.During examination, he also ignored the teeth that I did big restoration ,in which gives me some pain for cold and discomfort. I don’t want to leave there without doing anything, so he recommend me to take an x ray , and it shows I have nothing! I just leaved there without any treatment. In the end , they charged me for emergency doctor consultation,I called in the morning for normal appointment to follow up with my doctor,and they said that they have doctors available today! I will definitely not coming to this clinic , It made feel cold and bad.By the way, Dr Nancy is a good doctor there, very kind , passionate and informative .

Warning. If anyone looking for an office to have your dental work done. Please consider my experience with them. I came in for an emergency appointment, got x-rays , diagnosed by the dentist, paid my bill and schedule to come back for treatment. I was giving an estimate of $1200-$1400 to have the work done. Time to pay the bill, it was close to $2200. I was shocked and disappointed, I did not gave consent for a treatment this much but sadly paid the entire bill anyway. If I knew it would cost me this much to have the work done. I would of had chosen other options. The next day, I called the office regarding my concerns, they said that the manager will contacted me back, which I haven’t heard back from them, and it’s been weeks now. It’s hard finding an ethical dental clinic nowaday.

Horrible and didn’t even go to the office Had called to see if they take payments for a root canal the lady I had first spoken to said yes they do ! That it would be $133 for consultation so I said great I’d like an appointment For some reason she couldn’t access August’s appointment schedule She said she would call me back Later that evening I got a call back from a different lady ( apparently the dentist? ) saying it was for the root canal I said yes I said you take payments for root canals right ? ( I definitely wasn’t driving over an hour and a half there to find out they don’t ) she says “ no payments wouldn’t work as it’s a one day thing “ I said yes I understand the other lady had said you take payments so whatever I said how much would the root canal be ! She said you have to come in to let me look at it and it’ll be $160 for a consultation! ( how did it go from $133-$160 In legit a matter of hours ) I said the other lady said it was $133 she says that’s for extracting the tooth! I said absolutely NOT ! We never discussed extraction I was asking about root canals I eventually hung up because wasn’t worth my time If I could give 0 stars I would and we never even walked into the building !

My regular dentist wasn't in yesterday when I was getting a cleaning (my regular dentist is Dr.Nick, absolutely professional and has been for over 15 years with him). I found the dentist that checked my teeth yesterday (I forget his name) to be quite condescending calling me 'buddy' multiple times (I'm 27 years old) whilst criticizing my new cavities (first in 10 years). He was also rude to my dental hygienist Caroline who is also absolutely professional and personable. I requested her for this appointment and have requested her for my next one. Overall a great dental spot but in my experience, you want Dr.Nick as your dentist and Caroline (or one of the many other great hygienists) as your dental hygienist. Also, the receptionist I dealt with was very helpful and accommodating. On a regular visit, I would give 5 stars.

I have been going to square one dental since I was a kid. Have always had exceptional service from front desk staff, hygienists and dentists. They always make sure to take care of each and every patient. Definitely recommend calling and booking an appointment today.

I have been seeing dr. Nick since I was a kid. Honestly dr.Nick is amazing and I have never had an issue with him, however recently I booked to get my wisdom teeth taken out, and I had allot of trouble getting my insurance information getting put in, I visited them prior and gave the receptionist the card she said she photocopied it and will put it in now and call me to verify because it’s covid and she didn’t want me to wait long at the clinic. She didn’t call back so I called a day later and they said they didn’t have my information so I emailed it and the receptionist insured me that she, herself will put it in and call back to confirm. A week went by and the week of my surgery, more games or cat and mouse just to get my insurance put in!!!! I literally spoke with someone Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each time I had to call, till I threatened that I will not pay a dollar if they don’t add my insurance because my surgery is the next day and they need to send a pre-estimate for me to be covered fully!!! All these times that I spoke with them, not once did they mention that I couldn’t drink or eat in the morning prior, this is my first surgery. I can’t possibly know if they don’t tell me, they even called me back Wednesday evening day before the surgery to do a covid screening and went through a few things and still never mentioned it!!! I am furious, I took 2 days off work and I couldn’t even get my surgery done because of the receptionist not informing me multiple times!!!! And I spoke with multiple ones not just one, overall doctor is amazing but they really need to change the receptionists because they are all no good!!!! Keep Felicia, she’s the only one that stayed true to her word and added my insurance.

I have been a patient at Square One Dental for 15 years. Recently, I had to come in for a very minor issue regarding my lower retainer. I was worried about cost as I was not insured. Fortunately, Dr. Gus Spillas who has been my Orthodontist since I first joined managed to rectify the problem and did not even charge! I would like to commend Dr. Gus on his excellent work for my family and I for the last 15 years and would highly recommend anyone looking for Ortho work done to see him.

Don't get deceived by the rating, these people are paying customers a $5 gift card if they rate them 5 starts at their reception. The service is so poor. Very unprofessional dentist. I got my tooth filled (cavity fixture) and just in 3 months I have to get myself another dentist to fix the mess they have made with my tooth. Very unprofessional. Don't trust the rating they have.

Dr. Katz has been my dentist for 18 years. He has fixed my chipped teeth and pulled all my wisdom teeth without any complications. He always makes me feel very comfortable. I was nervous on my last visit because I needed a root canal. I heard many horror stories and I was so worried. However, I have to say it was no worse than getting a filling done. Dr. Katz not only makes you feel comfortable about the procedure but also about the payment afterwards. I don't know what I will do when he eventually retires.

Had a root canal sometime in February 2019 had to go back almost 6/7 times complaining about the pain and inability to use the tooth to chew. I was left with a terrible pain and terrible filling the tooth kept on decaying as it wasn’t cleaned out properly through out 2019/2020 up until September 2020 when I went to a different dentist had the same process redone and had to go through the pain a second time and found out the root canal wasn’t properly done at all m. The most annoying thing about whatever square one dental did was that I literally had to experience the pain of having a root canal done twice and also pay out of pocket as they exhausted my insurance. Well my family and friends and enemies would never be advised to used square one dental

I went into the office today and while getting a dental cleaning they accidentally took off my Maryland bridge as they were cleaning. They then told me they would have a doctor re-adhere it on in 20 minutes. I waited for 20 minutes and was then told they could not do it until the next day. Mind you this Maryland bridge I have is on my front teeth meaning I would not be able to go about my daily activities in public. No doctor at the office or staff did anything about my tooth as they had promised( they said they would do it in 20 minutes on the day of and then went back on their word), which left me to storm off and leave the office. I have been a patient for more than 15 years and this is how they treat their loyal patients. Very very disappointing coming from an office like this one.

ive been coming here for pretty much my whole life. My experience has always been mediocre until I got Pauline as my hygienist she’s amazing and the only reason I keep going back! However, until a few minutes ago I called to confirm my specialist appointment in 2 weeks that I rescheduled in January. Not only did they not cancel the original appointment and luckily I called to confirm it was cancelled a few days before the surgery and they tried to charge me because the receptionist didn’t cancel it and it was past the cancellation period. But I was told my current appointment booked is pending and that the doctor isn’t in that day. I never received a phone call telling me this or to reschedule the appointment for another time. I was very disappointed when I was told this so last minute and when trying to rearrange another appointment date between work and school so last minute the coordinator was very rude and condescending on the phone.

Not friendly at all. Trying to register first time and they keep asking me questions which they should ask my insurance providor. Called other clinic for booking and they said we will take care of everything as they do online settlement with insurance. Even my insurance providor told me over the phone that such coverage questions should be asked by clinic and not you. Bad customer service.
