Here you will see the information of people who use the services and products of Erin Oaks Children's Dentistry (Dentist) near to the area of Mississauga (Canada).
To this day the firm has a rating of 3.6 over 5 and that score is based on 63 reviews.
As you can see its rating is really good, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we can conclude that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Dentist corresponds to the category of Pediatric dentist.
This is kind of a generous two star because the dental assistants were lovely and great with my kids and the dentist (Ong?) was lovely in her demeanour as well. Now the bad stuff. I had heard that this clinic was a little heavy handed on suggesting sedation and in big procedures like root canals, but I always like to get my own opinion so I made the appointment anyway. I knew my son had a cavity so that was to be expected. They did a check up and an x-ray and immediately said he needed a root canal and full sedation for the procedure. I'm no dentist but the X-ray didn't seem to show the cavity too close to the root so I decided to get a second opinion at my dentist. I figured that my dentist may not be a Pediatric specialist dentist but she had treated me since I was a kid so she was definitely experienced. She looked and said that it was a small cavity, she took X-rays to be sure and then started treatment. Some numbing cream before a little bit of local injected (probably not needed but we didn't want to risk him having pain), a pair of sunglasses, headphones, a movie and 10 minutes later and my son had successful filling instead of a horrible root canal. I can't say whether this practice is overly cautious, inexperienced (young dentists) or are just trying to gauge parents money doing unnecessary procedures, but sadly the reputation remains true. Please look for a second option at least when faced with such big treatment recommendations as they may be unnecessary such as in this case, especially because full sedation for a 2hour root canal procedure is extremely dangerous and should not be done lightly.
Dr. Luk is a great dentist. She explains in detail how to brush their teeth and is very patient when they are not cooperating in the dentist chair. The interior is kid friendly and keeps the little ones entertained (good idea putting a tv on the ceiling). It’s a fun experience overall for my kid.
My 3yr old got treated here for the first time and dentist are awesome however, after surgery I was expecting one of the staff will help me to get in my car with my 3 nauseous son but nothing happen????????.. I got lucky one of the parents helped me out.. ????
Great Dentist for Children and great staff. Feel comfortable and awesome environment. Definitely recommend this place
My daughter has been seeing Dr. Huda for the last year and she always look forward to visiting her in Erin Oak dental office. Dr. Huda was extremely helpful and patient with our 4 year old during her routine checkup session at her dental office. She provided helpful tips and support, which helped my little one and myself to keep our dental hygiene in check. My daughter and I love the colourful avocado trendy socks that she often wears! She always has an amazing personality, which puts my little one at ease, whenever she visits her for checkup and cleaning. Thank you so much! We highly recommend Dr. Sabrina Huda to all parents with young kids. : D
I absolutely love Erin Oaks Children's Dentistry. From our first visit, the staff has been always very helpful, courteous and very friendly. I especially love seeing Dr. Regina, she's an amazing doctor who exudes true passion for her profession. In addition to her gentle way with her patients, she also takes the time to educate the parents on the differences between adult and child dentistry. She has taught me a lot! But the best part about Erin Oaks and Dr. Regina is that every time my son knows he's going to the dentist he gets very happy and is excited to see Dr. Regina. That's quite an accomplishment, in my opinion, when a child actually looks forward to going to the dentist. Thank you, Dr. Regina, for being so great and doing all you do for your patients.
My experience with this clinic was great. I had visited another dentist prior visiting them to have the dentist look at my 5 yr old's cavities. the previous dentist said that the cavities had to be done all in one visit using general anesthesia, I was against it because I don't think that any one has to do general anesthesia except if it was absolutely needed and there was no other solution. so I came to this clinic, because they are children dentists, Dr. Huda examined my son, and said that it can be done using local anesthesia, over 2 visits, and that's what she did, she fixed all of my son's teeth, smoothly nicely patiently and took the time to explain everything to us and to our son, and the whole experience was positive, and I will definitely visit them after 6 months.
My 6 year old got treated here Very professional team Highly recommend
Is there a negative number to google reviews ? because this place certainly deserves it. This place will remind you constantly that it's a business and that you individually don't matter. I don't post many reviews but I was so appalled by the service here I felt I needed to post in order to potentially save people time and investing their money here. We waited at least half an hour before even being seen and we didnt even get Dr.Park for whom we scheduled for. I don't know why they even take appointments when they dont adhere to the time and right staff. In fairness they did offer us to see another doctor which we were compelled to take or else we would have waited longer. The dental benefits were all over the place and I was left to figure it out for them as they would not call them to sort out procedure codes only they know. Lastly don't expect to have good customer service as I was told they have a great volume of people and in turn will not be following up on appointments missed. You only get one call prior to the appointment and the receptionist state it is their policy.. Trust me if communication breaks down they remind you that they are not the ones to blame and won't be looking to accommodate you. Eventhough we've already invested money we wont be going here to perform a major operation. It's the small details that really stand out which can translate to bigger problems. I cant make a fair assessment as to whether the dentists are good or not..if you're looking for great service you will be disappointed. My family had hoped for something more as it is a specialist facility. The facility itself is small and doesnt have a whole lot of things to offer. I can't believe we've had an experience like this I've been to numerous dental offices and have never been subjected to this level of neglect. I won't be going back ever. Follow up to this review, We've since gone to Burlington Pediatric dentistry, this place is night and day. They offered no pressure for any procedure, the Dentist stayed to explain everything for at least an hour. From front of staff to everyone actually performing the exam were phenomenal. I just read the reviews, you won't be disappointed. It was entirely worth the drive, everyone is so empathetic and patient. They hire great people with great moral values, which translate to the work they do. Same appointment I made with Erin Oaks, but was not covered under insurance, but at Burlington it was. Again I'm letting my family dentist know this place should not be recommended.
I have my all 3 kids dental work here.v nice and cooperative team...even the help desk ppl r so nice....i would highly recommend...
Great experience .
So they also never helped me to the car when I came there my son was very sedated.. also no follow up calls and caps we put on incorrectly
Dr. Park and his team are extremely knowledgeable, kind and are wonderful with kids. Would highly recommend this clinic to everyone - best pediatric Dentist in Mississauga!
Dr Park has always been amazing with my son. I never thought he would look forward to going to the dentist. I also love how he always talks to my son and explains everything before he does it. Takes away the fear for sure!!
Best dentist ever. My kids love Dr Park. He is kind, fun, thoughtful and just overall a great guy! Oh... and awesome at his job too!
We love Dr Regina!! She is wonderful, warm, fun and really puts my nervous daughter at ease. She also has a common sense approach to treating baby teeth. The hygienists are all wonderful, patient and kind. The front office staff are professional and organised. The office is colourful and inviting. Can’t say enough good things!
Dr. Regina is a skilled and sweet doctor who treats her patients with special sensitivity and care. She will go above and beyond to make your child comfortable and calm during the appointments. Her professionalism and knowledge is admirable. We absolutely and 100% recommend her and the team at Erin Oaks!
Best dentist (Dr. Luk) thanks for taking good care of my little boy. My family and I really appreciate it. And to the lovely receptionist (Diana) you guys are the best.
I brought my son in for the first time for a check up and the staff and dentist were amazing! Great first experience. Thank you Erin Oaks Children's Dentistry!
Customer service, customer respect, communication, parental consent, informing parents, communicating with parents prior to procedure time regarding more work the dentist wants to provide, the receptionist was snobby and rude when I inquired about a question regarding our benefit submission. The receptionist then decided to call my HUSBAND after I spoke to her and told him that she didn't appreciate me calling the office and asking her questions regarding our benefits? This place is a JOKE. I do NOT recommend anyone go to this location. They are disrespectful, especially the receptionist!
(Translated) I went to Erin's Oaks Children's Dentistry on two occasions with my two children. So I can say that Dr. Michael Park and his team are professionals. First at the reception, we were cordially received; which allowed my children to be relaxed. Then Dr. Park offered my children very rigorous dental care, and he took his time to explain to me the actions he did in the minutest detail.
I brought my 2 oldest children to Dr. Park after seeing a few other dentists who either had a long wait time for treatment or I was displeased with and left. Erin oaks was fabulous! The receptionists were kind, the hygienists (shout out to Zoe with the beautiful accent!) were so good with my kids so they felt at ease and Dr. Park was amazing. Talking to him about the best course of action for my kids was like a breath of fresh air, he actually cares about how the kids feel and how treatment will affect them. I highly recommend Erin Oaks. Both of my kids are still talking about their treatments as positive experiences.
Nice receptionist Excellent Dentist
They refused to see my son . I called them today at 8:30 am to schedule an appointment at any time during the day but they refused .My 6 years old son has not sleep at all last night because of the pain. My son also has Autism which make so difficult for us. They could not find 15 minutes during this day to help this little sick kid . I think if the doctors do not behave like a human ,should not practice that carrier .One star is too much for them.
This doctor is very unprofessional, and he doesn't have the basics of how to care about kids.
I had an appointment for my son (age 6) and daughter (age 3) today with Dr Park. My children have been coming to this office for the past 2.5 years. The dental assisstant did the initial check up and she was amazing! She was super friendly and was great with my kids. We then had to wait for Dr Park. Dr Park came in and checked my daughter first which went well. No issues at all. Then it was my son's turn. Dr Park pointed out that my son had a crossbite. He asked me to come over and take a look and showed me how his bite was misalligned. He also tried to put my son's jaw in the correct place to show me what the bite should actually look like. As he was doing this my son was complaining that it was hurting him. He was trying to pull Dr Park's hands away from his mouth. Rather than acknowledging my son's concern he said "You are lying. This isn't hurting you. Everytime you lie, baby Jesus cries. Are you a liar?" My son then said that it was actually Dr Park's nails that were hurting him as he was pulling on his jaw and to that Dr Park replied "Well that is another lie because I just cut my nails this morning". At this point I started to feel very uncomfortable. I told my son to hold my hands and squeeze them but because he was in pain but he kept pulling at Dr Park's hands. Then Dr Park said "Are you a good listener or a bad listener. I am asking you to keep your hands on your belly and you keep touching my hands. So I am not sure if you are a good listener. What does your teacher think about your listening?" I then told my son to look up at the TV screen above him to distract himself from the pain and my son told me that he couldn't see because Dr Park's head was blocking the TV and to that Dr Park reponded "Well I guess I can just do my job without looking or with my eyes closed because it's not as important as you being able to see the TV." Now tell me is this any way to speak to a 6 year old. Especially when your specialty is Pediatric Dentistry. At the end of the check up Dr Park was going over options for the crossbite but I was so upset I wasn't really paying attention. Before I left the room I told Dr Park that his behaviour was completely inappropriate and even if he was having a bad day he had no right to talk to my child that way. I told him that I myself am a health care professional and his language was not acceptable. As I was leaving his office Dr Park said that he was sorry that I was not comfortable with the way he spoke to my son and that he would not charge me for the visit. I also told him and the main receptionist that I would not be returning to the office. So in summary do not go to this office if you are looking for a kind and caring dentist for your kids.
Dr. Huda is truly remarkable. She is attentive to everyone’s needs and cares for them with true intentions. She has a beautiful smile and a really giving nature. She makes everyone feel comfortable and celebrates even the smallest achievements. Dr. Huda practices great dental hygiene and leads by example.
Great dental clinic! I changed dentists for my kids to Dr. Luk and was so happy that I did. She always patiently answered all my questions and gave great advice. Despite the procedures done, my kids were never afraid to go back. I was also nervous about heading to the clinic during the pandemic, but the clinic had installed air filters throughout, spaced out appointments and staff wear layers of disposable protective.
My 8 year old never went to a pediatric dentist until this year. Before switching to Erin oaks my son would be full of dread and fear, he would cry and gag on their equipment. It was a very painful ordeal for both of us twice a year.... then the dreaded day of his first cavity came... not one but multiple. I felt like a horrible parent I was devastated and stressed. I was so thankful when I came across Erin Oaks and Dr.Regina. she was kind and patient with me. She helped lay my mom guilt to bed while explaining to me and my son how we were going to get him fixed up and on the right track. From the minute we arrived, the office is calm and soothing, everyone I encountered was polite and informative. Office is kept spotless. Dr.Regina was able to fill my son's cavities 100% pain free. The equipment used was perfect and comfortable for my son. My son left feeling so great and he actually asked if Dr.Regina could be his new dentist from now on. Dr.Regina has a wonderful way of explaining things to kids that makes them feel at ease in her care. As a parent I appreciated her honesty and thorough explanations. My son now doesn't fear the dentist and going is no longer a stressful ordeal. Wish we had switched years ago. Highly recommend Dr.Regina and Erin Oaks
Great experience. Dr. Huda and staff are very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and caring. They made the entire experience simple and calming. I was very nervous at first, but very soon, I knew my daughter was receiving the best care and treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Huda. A very loving and caring practice with the best Doctors and staff to care for our children.
We brought our special needs son here for a consultation on May 11th. We walked out after we were left waiting for 40min. No WiFi, no greeting from Dr.Park, just left in reception for 30min than the consultation room alone for another 10min. After our son had enough, on our way out, we noticed Dr.Park was treating another patient who came in 15min after us. Very poor service for a dental office especially one claiming to assist children with Autism. Shame on you!
Herrible experience!!!!! They are a robber and manipulate in data and dialogue !!!! Take care and know everything in details. Firstly, they said, You are going to pay 250$ for anathesia diagnosis then they raise the amount to 300$. The most terrible experience is that They said you are going to pay 250$ for spacer and the whole cost by smile card and they didn't tell me how much the cost even estimate cost. Then after the operation they said I have to pay 2555$. I got a shock then I told them what I know is 250$ and I don't know any thing about that cost. When I visited them to pay 250$ they issue an invoice showed that 2555.$
Dr Regina is very impatient and rude with kids. All the hygienists are lovely and polite but the doctors are not. You can hear other kids screaming in rooms. Never going there again.
The dentist(dr. Park) is very unprofessional and rude. My daughter has horrible experience with this doctor. I don't recommend this clinic.
Our daughter started visiting Doctor. Park about two years ago. Firstly he is simply the most honest person in the business, a particular procedure was needed and 99 percent of the other dentists who "claim" to be child and toddler friendly had absolutely ZERO knowledge on how to do this particular treatment further the cost were astonishing some being in the ball-park of over 5000 dollars. Dr. Park took care of everything the procedure was painless and our daughter loves to come back for regular check ups .. The procedure costed less then 800 a fraction of the price, from that point on I have recommended all my friends / family who have children to specifically go to this dentist. Please note that he is virtually the ONLY dentist with actually pediatric dentistry as a background and further has worked at sick-kids hospital ... Do not waste your time at other "so called" child friendly establishments
I had a scheduled appointment for my daughter last week. The office called me 1 hour prior to her appointment to cancel her appointment because the dentist "didn't feel like coming in for just one appt". Needless to say I wont be booking another appt here.
Very rude doctor and he doesn't know how to take good care of children
Very rude and unprofessional doctor (Dr. Park) He’s treating the children like animals not like humans!!!
I found Dr. Park to be very knowledgeable and caring. My toddler fell and chipped his tooth and it became infected and dr. Park explained the procedure in detail and was very patient. He also performed the procedure with care. I am so happy to have found such a great children's dentist.
My wife took my kid for 2nd visit after we were told that my 7yr old son needs a cap on his adult tooth. Today we went, she drugged him but later said he does not need a cap because its not an adult tooth but just a baby tooth. She not only drugged him but gave a needle and gas as well. This is just to fill a baby tooth. When we looked at the receipt, it was $200 just for drugs and now my kid cannot go to school for the day. If this people want to beg for money, just ask! Worst experience with a dentist! They have ZERO regard for kids but just want to make money left, right and centre.
Dr. Park is amazing. He really cares about the kids! I would Recommend him to all!!!
You will find both Dr. Park and his assistants do not wear a mask when checking teeth for children. They speak directly towards patients' mouth which is open. Terrible medical asepsis. Never come back.
We had our baby’s consultation with Dr Regina. She was pretty good with our daughter and answered all questions patiently.
Horrible experience! First time for consultation for cavity filling was with Dr. Regina. For being a pediatric dentist, she was not good with my child. Rude manner. She spoke to my child like she was a teenager. We decided with laughing gas treatment and appointment was with Dr. Jamie. When she looked at the x-ray, she said it wasn’t just one cavity but two other small ones. Dr. Regina didn’t even point out that there were two more. Red flag! In the end, we had to stop the appointment with Dr. Jamie Ong and reschedule. Second time we tried oral sedation with Dr. Regina. She was rude yet again - asking my child what happened the first try. Why not ask the parents? She told my husband not to stay in the room, and he was offended he couldn’t sit quietly inside with our child. In the end, she got 1/2 way through the procedure and couldn’t finish as my child was “moving too much”. The sedation probably wore off because she was talking too much and was very abrupt when trying to put in the mouth guard. Dealing with kids, especially ones with anxiety, one should be a little more gentler...this is the not the case with Dr. Regina. She doesn’t know how to deal with kids or their parents. We will never be returning to this horrible practice. Thankfully we found a children’s sleep dentistry in Oakville who were 1000x better than Erin Oaks.
Receptionist is very rude and these people are robbers! Stay away from this place!
I am really disappointed from the receptionist! I haven’t visit the doctor yet and I am just trying to book first appointment and she was not speaking good at all! Her attitude is very tough and gave me a very bad first impression and even when I find out that they close early and I have to think about a reasonable time to take appointment, I said to her: okay I will call you later, she hang up the phone before saying anything!! Even she didn’t check if I would have other questions!
Erin Oaks Children's Dentistry is a wonderful clinic. Dr. Park is very knowledgeable and skilled. My six year old daughter has severe anxiety with any type of procedure and Dr. Park put her at ease and was able to save her tooth while relieving her pain. The staff and assistants were wonderful and we felt very welcomed and comfortable being there. Dr. Park never gave up on my nervous daughter and he gained her friendship in the end. She told all her friends how Dr. Park saved her tooth! Thank you Dr. Park and Erin Oak Children's Dentistry!
The best doctor for kids dental hygiene! I drive 3 hrs both my children with Autsim just to see Dr. Park for cleaning or surgery or just to say Hi. Please dont be fooled by the other reviews. My name is Sonia (Gete) ask me for any questions. Also, Dianna (the receptionist) is very helpful & sweet.
We had a bit of a similar experience to Sameena. Dr Park got overwhelmed and frustrated when my child was being fussy. He also told my child no that doesn’t hurt every time my child complained that it did ..like how do YOU know it doesn’t hurt!!
My daughter, who is autistic, has been a patient of Dr. Park for a few years. When we first visited, Dr. Park had to check her teeth in the parking lot! Now, she is comfortable coming into the welcoming office and with Dr. Park. Dr. Park is patient and caring. He even sings while checking my daughter's teeth, which makes her laugh. All of the work he has done has been excellent - he is a great dentist and very importantly a good human. :)
Very patient did not start any work till my child was completely comfortable. After his appointment, xrays and cleaning said "that was fun when are we coming back!."
