We visited with out 5 yr old last weekend! Dr. Jay and "J" were excellent. They made our little one feel relaxed during the cleaning session. Even the front desk lady was welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend this clinic for kids and adults!

The best dental office I have been to hands down. I heard that the dentist speaks Spanish and I took my mother who barely speaks English there. The dentist is so down to earth and so easy to deal with and she tries everything she can to help the patients. Aside from her personality, her work is so clean and work is so effortless and with the minimum amount of pain. She gave us a call to follow up after a week to see how my mother is doing. Gave her another visit, but this time my father came along to do some work on his teeth, and he said she is the best dentist he has ever been to. Super experienced, and very professional and amazing person. Thank you Dr. Astria. I'll be going there instead of my local dentist in my next coming appointment date.

I came here for Teeth Whitening and it was the best experience I could ask for with it being my first time. Fairy did the procedure and she explained every step to me throughout the whole process. She also kept checking to make sure it was causing any pain and made sure I was happy with the colour. She also gave me some products to help with the sensitivity and some home care products. All in all it was a great entry to teeth whitening I would highly recommend this office. All of the staff were very nice and a pleasure to talk to.

First time visit, recommended by my aunt. What a great and informative session I had. I went in to get a teeth cleaning, and haven't been to a dentist for a few years. They showed me the tartar buildup over the years accumulating on my teeth and I honestly never knew the teeth cleaning was to break down the tartar. I learned a lot about proper teeth cleaning routines and options to use to help make the routine easier. I would definitely recommend coming in if you haven't been to a dentist for awhile, the team here is very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable going back to the dentist again since covid hit.

Dr. Baker and the rest of the staff here are absolutely phenomenal and friendly, even if I'm frozen I always leave with a smile. I suffered for many years from severe dental pain, and was extremely anxious about the process and costs involved in restoring my teeth to a pain-free state. Fortunately, unlike many other places, everyone there has your health and comfort as the number one priority ahead of anything else. Through any procedure they make sure you are always comfortable, even if you're an nervous mess like I was. They take the time to explain all your options and any procedures, while factoring in your own circumstances to help determine the best treatment plan for you. In just six weeks I went from being unable to eat most foods to being pain free. Five stars doesn't even feel like enough.

I went to Altima Dental based off on the reviews on google. The staff is accommodating and friendly. I went in for a cleaning and personally did not feel like the dentist was gentle. I did appreciate the extensive check up that was done. However, immediately after my cleaning the dentist asked me to leave a 5 star review on google. The dentist then told me the dental office sells Oral-B electric toothbrushes so I decided to buy one. When I got home, and opened the toothbrush box I found human hair inside the box. The office did offer to refund the money, however, due to hygenic reasons I will not be going back to this office again.

The ladies working the front desk are highly fast and efficient and always make you feel important & Dr. Sheldon (Shelly) baker and his new assistant are simply the "The Dynamic Duo..his work is extremely gentle. I even nodded off a few times while he works and in no time makes you feel like a friend and not just another number!... Hats off to Altima Dental!.....

I took my 5 year old there, Dr. Bao Vo here hurt my kid's lip. I am upset about is the attitude of Dr. Bao Vo and the staff here. When I brought her back, what I heard was: "she bit herself, I did nothing wrong I have done absolutely nothing wrong. I've seen more people bite themselves. more severely. But what I want to hear is: I'm sorry to have injected the anesthetic without informing parent, so that parent can remind her not to bite herself.

At 18/12/2020 I visited the doctor and I asked for a filling on my broken tooth. He told me that in about 6 months it will break again. Yet, a year later and it's still there and strong. He was telling me all the time that I was crazy every time I was telling him the different things I was doing that most people don't, (teeth related things) (I didn't appreciate that). No hard feelings though. I understand that he didn't mean it with a bad way. I'll come again.

I broke a tooth Saturday night. Was able to get early appointments to get the matter resolved Monday and Tuesday. My crown came off in one piece. I phoned and the dentist was in and he was able to fix it for me.

Disclaimer: this review is purely my personal experience with this clinic with inention to let people be aware and diligent. I have been with this clinic for 1 year and have been paying for the services with my insurance. Last month after an year, somenone named Tiffany called me saying i have the balance pending and she is going to forward it to collectors unless paid back immediately. Also i was threatened going forward for the services that I need to avail (pending because of covid) insurance would not be accepted. When I called up my insurance, It was evident that she made mistakes in few claims. Some of the claims went fine and paid directly to the dental office while some claims were submitted in a way that the money was deposited to my account. Beat it, this lady has been sleeping over this for an year and woke up one nice day only to threaten and harass. Clearly it was an attempt to hide her inefficiency. Instead of giving in to this undue pressure, I escalated it to Altima dental centre regional manager who called up on my insistence to get clarification and apologized. A date was mutually agreed for the payment back to the clinic as the amount was big and had to be arranged while all along I was promised that services would continue as the whole development was because of their fault. Here comes the bummer. Last week i had a problem with one of my tooth and had to see the doctor for am emergency. I was confirmed with the appointment and when I go there i am told doctor can not see me because of non payment of old dues. Had to come back and see some other doctor at other clinic while the payment was made in full on the agreed upon later date. Long story short, inefficient, rude and ignorant staff. Please be very careful with your money specially if you have insurance. These guys are capable of damaging your goodwill, honesty and credit history and you may not even realize it. Anyone is welcome to ask me if i have written proof on this as well the communication with the management and i would be happy to get it on the web. Few more stories subsequent to this episode i would be sharing later so that people take a just decision on what is good for them.

I have had my second visit with Dr. Bao. I do have to have numerous appts and he is very understanding of my issues and had my first 2 teeth removed. He was very gentle (I am so afraid of needles) and I must admit that I did not feel any pain but a small twinge. While removing the 2 teeth, I did not feel anything. He was very gentle and talked me through it all the way. I just wish I had gone to him sooner! Thank you Dr. Bao.

To Whom It May Concern: On June 24, 2017, Astrid Galvez at Altima Dental Dundas Square (in Mississauga) gave me a thorough teeth-cleaning. My lower front teeth were blackened by coffee. (My teeth had not been treated in nearly a year.) Astrid, while providing pertinent commentary on the whole matter of dental hygiene (especially as it applied to me--as she worked on my teeth) transformed the sensation I have in my mouth. Throughout the nearly 90 minutes of intense, focused cleaning, I felt utterly relaxed and the absence of any pain. Of course I know that Astrid has recently qualified to become a dentist in Ontario; therefore she is going to have a lot more going on (when cleaning teeth, as she operates and talks) than an ordinary dental hygienist. However, I would be remiss if I did not commend her on the superb job she did on my teeth--and for the liveliness of her intelligence. Miraculously good effect is there in my teeth now.
