I have nothing but good things to say about Garden City Dental. Dr. Santos has been my dentist for the past couple of years and I have been very pleased with his work. He is always professional, thorough, cheerful and gentle and he genuinely cares about his patients. He explains what he is doing and always makes sure I am comfortable. He is also very accommodating and was able to see me on short notice one time for a dental emergency, even though his schedule was full. I have seen him for regular cleanings and two fillings and have had positive experiences with both. His dental hygienists are great as well. The office staff and dental hygienists are always friendly and helpful as well. The waiting area is spacious and has a fireplace, TV and coffee/juice bar and there is free parking. They direct bill to your insurance so you only have to pay your portion. I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Huynh earlier this month but unfortunately, the oral sedation didn't have the desired effect on me (ie. sleepiness and relaxation) and the procedure wasn't able to be completed. Despite this, Dr. Huynh was compassionate, patient and understanding with me and was reassuring, which helped me feel more at ease, as my anxiety was high. Even though it didn't go as planned, he was fantastic the entire time and didn't make me feel bad at all. As a side bonus, I didn't even have to pay for that visit or the medications, which was an unexpected yet welcome surprise. He referred me to a great oral surgeon right away and I was able to get the teeth removed two days later. I would highly recommend Garden City Dental. Fantastic staff and facilities.

The only thing more calming and overall pleasant than the surprisingly warm and cozy, spaciously high-ceiling waiting room was the more than welcoming staff, whom I met after a three hour sleep and forty five minute drive that normally would have had me dead but instead left me; and other departing patients, with a visibly improved spirit. this has been my dentist office for about 2.5 years, i haven’t had the need to find another dentist. They make everything super easy and honestly painless. They provide all routine dental and i maybe some major dental? Dr.Toy is my dentist and he’s great, really gentle and I’ve never had any issues with his work. Rhodalyn Catipon is my hygienist, she’s the best! Keeps me accountable with my flossing while making sure Im comfortable during the cleaning and she’s really nice. Along all the other staff at GCDC, I highly recommend this dental office! Would travel from across the city for this office, if i had to. Keep up the great work everyone!

Very nice dental office aesthetically, friendly staff, and best of all NO PAIN! The hygienist was very nice and did what she had to to with minimal discomfort. The actual dentist was great as well. They asked me prior to taking x-rays which is very considerate even offered to get my past x-rays from my previous dental office but I'm coveredby insurance so there was no need. I thought that was above and beyond as some people can't afford x-rays especially during these hard times. They have a program where you can get your teeth whitened for $99 which again is awesome!! This is going to be my new permanent dental office, I'm so pleased with everything about them. Also, they have T.V's on the ceiling to pass your time whilst getting work done!

I have full confidence with Dr.Santos, so much that I commit to crossing from South St.Vital to Garden City for the quality of his craftsmanship. He has done several fillings, root canal, crown and fitted a nightguard for grinding over the last ten years - all of which I think have been performed with superior workmanship. Happy to be back and having a competent dentist looking out for my oral health. All the staff are accommodating and friendly and Dr Santos has a great friendly demeanor. Always a relief having him handle my concerns. I'm a small business owner and want to convey how much good quality professionals deserve merit - which this clinic has plenty.

First of all, Leanne (Dental Hygienist I believe...) was fantastic. Her energy can resonate with anyone and I even commented on her ridiculously positive attitude. I'm probably the most pessimistic human on the block and she made a simple cleaning go by very quickly and was extremely knowledgeable when I threw about 4, 5 questions on her plate about teeth whitening and fillings. But most importantly, she had a very charismatic personality Secondly, well, Dr. Pokhoy, no question, knows his stuff, speaks to me straight and has really great interpersonal skills. I avoided a filling for a long time, told me how it was, empathized, provided rationale to get it done asap, done, mic drop. Great guy. And lastly, to end off the visit, Chrissy (front desk) was extremely personable and helped me out with all the insurance stuff, the appointments, and was able to answer questions that I had from teeth whitening, needing a mouth guard, quotes with and without insurance, navigating the calendar multiple times to get appropriate times setup for multiple appointments I need to come in for, etc. etc. She was fantastic and accommodating. I don't normally feel compelled to provide feedback like this, but this experience definitely warranted some acknowledgment of the first class service at Garden City Dental center. Great job

I was never was a fan of going to the dentist in the past. Have to say I am beyond impressed with Garden City Dental. Been going for years now. The staff are always friendly and get me in quickly. Dr.Toy is my go-to. He always takes the time to explain my treatment options and give his honest input. Feel most other dentists are just interested in most expensive option. Dr. Toy is the opposite- he’s practical, straightforward and actually cares, which I’m sure everyone can appreciate. If you want another tip, Amanda Reid is my fave go-to hygienist - she’s got a positive/ upbeat attitude, is delicate and does a thorough job. She also makes my life easy by booking my next cleaning right from the chair - I’m self-employed/ busy and would often forget otherwise. Next thing you know, I would have gone 5yrs without a cleaning - who else can relate? Again, it’s the small things that make a big difference. And that’s what I appreciate.

Wow! Just amazing! I was in Winnipeg recently for a business trip and had an emergency dental issue that required me to see a dentist. Called the office and they accommodated me in that same day. The people were great and made me feel relaxed and calm. Dr. Toy fixed my tooth and I was able to get back to work shortly after. After the freezing, didn't feel anything at all really. Would highly recommend Garden City Dental Centre and the fantastic staff and dentists! Wish all dental visits were this awesome.

No one really likes going to the dentist but the team over at GCDC make what is an otherwise unsavory experience a delight. Chelsea, Harriet, and Dr. Santos are a bevy of beauts who know how to make a chap feel at ease and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to turn on closed captioning on the overhead television sets, especially when the volume is turned down. Other than that tiny point, impeccable treatment and service!

Just got my Daughter's braces here and extremely happy in every way, not rushed let me ask a ton of questions and never felt that they were not attentive to my needs. Everyone is great front to the back of the office. Never have to wait long, great advice and the biggest thing is no upselling. Had another Ortho place quote for more and also say needs teeth pulled to align her jaw etc...GC Dental stated, that we can do that but instead can do elastic bands instead, works just as well without have to remove teeth and of course have my pay more, they left it up to me!. Great quality service and clearly experienced and highly qualified Doctors. Don't hesitate using GC Dental for anything you need. Thanks everyone, my daughter smile is glowing and not cuz of all the metal in her mouth and that's the most important thing to me.

GCDC has been taking care of my whole family's oral health for 8 years now. The long term relationship we have with them should be able to say a lot about the quality of service we get each time - from our own dentist, Dr. Michael Pokhoy, to the Orthodontists, the Oral Surgeon, the hygienists and the front desk & backoffice assistants. We have had all kinds of services from them already from regular prophylaxis to orthodontics & wisdom tooth surgery, all of which have been done successfully. All dentists & specialists are very professional & comfortable to deal with. There is flexibility in schedules that works well for us. Frontline staff are very respectful when dealing with patients & the atmosphere is very warm in general. I have recommended this place to our friends long time ago & will still do with others.

Dr Huy Huyhn is the best dentist I have ever had! It has never hurt when getting freezing done for dental work. (And I have had a lot done.) I also struggle with a high gag reflex and have never had issues here. (Just other places). He is patient and kind. I never feel rushed and the results are spectacular! This review is long over due but wanted to acknowledge the great staff, work, latest technology and atmosphere (bonus points for the TV on the ceiling and modern decor). I switched dentists about 5-6 years ago to Garden City Dental and found one of the best dental hygienist Rhoda – professional and personable, highly recommend. I wanted to thank Dr. Santos for taking care of my precious front tooth during my recent dental emergency. Hands down – the best dentist that made me feel comfortable about the procedure and what to realistically expect with upcoming treatments. Appreciated the time he took to polish the teeth in view and not just let me leave with one shiny tooth. Smooth fillings – big deal! I commend all the safety precaution is place due to COVID for both patients and staff, which is clearly communicated on the websites and also notified again before your appointment. Another big thank you to Krista who always there to greet me and makes sure you are taken care of before/after your appointment – great group!
