So happy to be a patient here! The front office staff are attentive, pleasant and kind. My fav dental Hygienist works here. The office is bright and modern with perks: coffee, tea and mints. They have 2018 magazines along with a TV while you wait. They keep to your appointment time, which is very convenient. The dental work is top notch and the work is done fast and with great pride. The staff treat everyone with such respect they are a breathe of fresh air. I would highly recommend Toothworks Fairview to you.

Restoring Dignity

I am very unimpressed with this Dental clinic. They are aggressively moving into business mergers swallowing up other dental practices. They register locally or provincially, despite they are operating in multiple provinces in Canada. The Administrative management team were dismissive to me as someone who has serious disabilities and medical conditions. They were slow to facilitate billing in a timely manner, leaving me in a life threatening situation. I spent months advocating to get the coverage through insurance , fifteen months later, the work I most needed done for medical reasons was not done.The good front line administrative staff do not last long. The Toothworks clinics I attended have high turn over with employees. It is too bad there is not ' 0' or ' - 0' rating here or I would give them a minus zero rating. Terrible service. This clinic is the ' Walmart' of dental clinics. It is worthy to note that Toothworks has an aggressive marketing strategy where as soon as you leave after every visit they send requests asking for google reviews, sometimes multiple requests after each visit. As one reviewer wrote here, don't walk away from these clinics, - RUN!

I called for an emergency appointment and the person on the phone told me she has an 11 am appointment but then when she found out I was new to the area and in look for a dentist she said she doesn’t have an appointment. This call came to them early in morning after a long night of pain which she was aware of. Very disappointed!

This location has good dentists and hygienists, however the late appointments available are a joke. I started with them only because of the late evenings available, but they have changed many of my families appointments, and always have an excuse of someone being on holidays.....someone getting married.....someone sick......so they have to change your appointment. A week ago I got an email to confirm my appointment 2 weeks later, which I did. Today, I got a call to reschedule that same appointment from 6pm to the day before at noon. I booked it 9 months ago. The excuse.....a hygienist on a honeymoon and won't have enough staff. Clearly they don't really have enough staff that work the later shift, and I am not asking much by merely keeping my appointment as scheduled. There website has no contact info for head office so I cancelled my appointment as I travel a lot for work and will look at a possible switch of dentists now. Don't waste your time going here if you need late appointments.... it's mostly a ruse to get your business.....they will change it on you.

People were great and friendly, dental work complete trash. Got 3 fillings done there and all 3 of them have left my teeth worse than when I went it. One filling is overhanging the tooth next to it trapping food every time I eat, one isn't sealed properly to the sides and I cant feel the gap with my tooth, also trapping food every time I eat, one wasnt filled deep enough and because of the gap underneath it caused further decay, lots of pain, the filling crumbled and snapped and my gum grew into the hole so now my tooth has to be removed. Worst. Dentist. Ever.

Absolutely terrible service. I went there to complain about a discomfort as a result of 3 wisdom teeth removal they suggested and they still went ahead to charge my insurance for coming in. As if that was not enough, they have been owing me a refund for months. Called several times and was told a manager would call me. I even went in person and was told she wasn't around and would call me.. 2 days past and nothing so I decided to call. Initially they lied the manager wasn't around, when I insisted on getting the name of the manager that doesn't seem to be in the office, she miraculously appeared to speak to me and process my refund. She was so rude by cutting the phone without asking any other issues I had. I called back twice now and they didn't pick up my phone. They are in the habit of just billing your insurance without your consent or showing you the cost of the service they rendered. Very bad. But guess what I would not relent until they fix my discomfort and I have to find a more reliable Dental clinic.

I went there to have two of my wisdom teeth removed in December of 2019. I booked to have Nitrus done a while in advance but they called only a couple of days before the surgery to tell me that the person in charge of the nitrus wouldn't be there on the day of my surgery, so i could either reschedule for a month later or to it with a different much less effective option of sedation. Then once the appointment happened the sedation did next to nothing (I've had dental surgeries before so i know what its supposed to feel like) the dentist was very forceful and continued to make me open my mouth to painful extents, being very angry while doing it. Once the surgery was finished it still went badly from there. Mere hours after the surgery was finished my first stitch came out. I called the office to see if that was normal, and they had me come back to have it put back in. it was extremely painful. then after i left a second time, the day hadn't finished by the time the second stitch came out, and then next day the replacement first stitch also came out. I realized this was because he kept yelling at me to open my mouth wider, if you open your mouth too wide the stitch knot will come undone or the fabric will just break. so after he did one, making me open my mouth wide enough for the next loosened the first and allowed it to come out, and once he put back in the missing one he forced my mouth wide enough that the second one came loose. AND to put a cherry on top the secretary staff were very lax in getting my x-rays to me. i had to ask multiple times and it took multiple weeks. I personally will never be going to this dentist again and i HIGHLY recommend you do not either. not for surgeries at least, and please make sure they actually check if the people you're booked with are gonna be there in advance.

This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I hate going to the dentist it terrifies me but everyone here is great. The front desk staff are so nice. My hygienist was amazing. I’ve seen Dr Shin for a few fillings, she’s really nice and does a great job. I also had a root canal done here from Dr K. Overall I love everything about this place and will continue to go here.

I was SUPER nervous when I learned I needed my first cavity filled. I had my first filling EVER today and I was simply amazed at how gentle and quick the process was. I’m sure the whole office knew how nervous I was! My dentist, her assistant and everyone in the office put me at ease and made everything as painless and easy as possible. I broke a tooth about ten days ago. I called right away to book an emergency appointment the next day. I thought it was my crown initially but realized it was the neighbouring tooth. I saw the dentist for maybe 5 minutes who confirmed what I already knew. Nothing was done. An xray was taken but no treatment. I was left with a hole in my tooth and told to see my regular dentist as the crown had a cavity starting underneath. But the whole reason I booked the appointment was for the broken tooth. It could have been filled. I couldn't get in to my dentist until this coming Wednesday the 10th and I'm afraid infection has set in as it's been painful the last two days now. Why would I have booked an emergency appointment to confirm something I already knew? It wasn't just for fun . I expected treatment. Now I may need a root canal because it was left untreated. I did my part and was on it right away. The dentist there did nothing. I know they squeezed me in but if you don't have the time to properly assist a patient then don't take them. I spent two hours of my time and $15 (thanks to insurance. Would have been $157 without) for literally nothing . Why let a patient leave with a hole in their tooth knowing infection could easily set in? I've had to eat on the one side now for a week and a half. It's a shame too because my fiancé went here a few times for emergencies and had only good things to say. So will the root canal be on them if I need one? Because if I do, it could have been prevented if the tooth was treated right away like I attempted to have done. On a positive note, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the facility itself I thought was very nice.

I went here for a filling and they had TERRIBLE service. The dentist and her assistants were constantly chatting amongst each other instead of catering to my needs as a patient. I was terrified the whole time because they wouldn’t tell me what was going on. Overall it was a totally uncomfortable and painful experience. To top it all off, my filling didn’t even stick. I went back there, but they still did a terrible job. I’ve been to the dentist before - I know they aren’t all this AWFUL. I am in pain right now because the filling was done badly, it feels like my tooth is about to fall off. Thank fully I have booked an appointment with another much better dentist now. Can’t wait to be rid of this pain. Never going back and NEVER suggesting to anyone else. The only good people there are probably the hygienists. Why are they still open? Other reviews suggest the same. Teeth are no joke, and these so called “dentists” are ruining our lives.

Great, funny, and enjoyable employees; you could say draw dropping as I can't keep my mouth shut when I'm there. All of the ladies at the front desk are great. They have helped multiple times with my benefits, doing everything possible to make you pay as little as possible. When your waiting, they don't hesitate to chat with you either; or, in my case, put up with you!!! LOL. Dr. Shin is awesome, I love listening to her hum while she works, and she is definitely not afraid to drill you either (so to speak). When you talk to her when she isn't working on you, you will realize how cute she really is. Trinity has a great sense of humour and also draw dropping as well. Being a hygienist, she's a little more 'picky' than Dr. Shin. I swear she is more happy to see me than I am to be there. But she is still great. I don't take care of my teeth the way I'm supposed to, but they try to help without making me feel bad for not brushing or flossing regularly.

Toothworks have been very patient with my tardiness due to busy life at times, as they were very understanding and always offering solutions around my schedule. The receptionists are always polite and passionate with follow phone calls to see how I'm doing after procedures,along with friendly reminders of appointments . The dentists and hygienists are very thorough in explaining everything and will make me understand before proceeding and also checking up during procedure ensuring comfort. As much as everyone don t like going to dentist , toothworks makes it very tolerable and definitely not as bad as it could be somewhere else. The entire staff are always friendly and concerned with every patient and offer your best solution with great results. I wish I went to them when I first had my issues with my teeth, however they weren't open yet but I'm glad they treat me now.

Every time I have been there, new staff working and not professional at all. Second thing is I was not happy with the cleaning ( the new lady or at least new to me) she just talked a lot and didnt clean much and and I feel I have been overcharged. Because I have been there before and I got a half session cleaning and that time I felt afterwards having more clean teeth than now after a full session. It is only because when you guys bring new staff, and you dont train them well. The lady who use to clean my teeth was much better. This time I got a New girl from Philippine. She is very nice and polite but still new and unfortunately you will feel overcharged. By the way I was overcharged an exam which I didn't had received or asked for. So I had to discuss 5 minutes with the reception to delete that! Thanks anyways!

Excellent staff - from the reception desk to the dentist - all make you feel comfortable and relaxed! Dr. Shin has done several fillings for my wife & I over the past 2 years - all with excellent outcomes! Gretta is a super hygienist - we will miss her but wish her well on her maternity leave! This clinic is open 7 days a week - which is how we stumbled onto this gem when we were newly arrived in Canada. A filling fell out while shopping during a Friday noontime. We drove and drove everywhere in Kitchener looking for dental clinics - all were closed for the afternoon. So we came home, did a Google search, noted the highly-rated Toothworks clinic and called the number on Friday evening; whoever answered the call set me up for an emergency exam on Saturday! As they say - 'the rest is history'! You cannot go wrong with the great people of Toothworks!!!

I was a new customer coming in for some cavities that needed to be filled and the customer service was very kind and helpful. But when I got to the actual doctors they ruined my ability to chew on my right side. With sensitivity that makes it impossible to chew I returned to get it fixed (twice). They were happy to fix it, but they didn't fix anything in two appointments. I am very unhappy with the way my right bottom tooth has gained sensitivity, and I will not be returning.

They will leave you in excruciating agony after serious operations and not give you pain management medicine , and schedule you an appointment literally 1 month away and ask you to go to walk in clinic and ask for pain medicine, which will almost never work , if you want to get roughed up and left in RADICAL PAIN, this is the place for you.

My wife has recently switched dentists to toothworks since she moved from a different city. Her experience from the very first visit has been nothing but problems. She’s had pain for weeks after every visit. Recently she had a route canal. They broke a tool in her tooth and then sent her to a specialist which charged us $140 then told us it will cost another $2000 out of our pockets to fix. We were told we can claim it on our insurance but we don’t think it should be our responsibility to cover this. We spoke with the manager at toothworks to try and solve the matter which she quickly shifted the responsibility to us saying that we consented to responsibility of this when she made the initial switch from her old dentist, nothing had been issued or signed . I could not be more unhappy with this joke of a business and I highly urge and recommend against anyone using this dentist in the future.

Not Recommended- went there with a broken filling on the weekend. Struggled to get an x-ray because they kept trying to get me to bite down on some device that didn't fit in my mouth and dug into my soft pallet. Dentist tells me I HAVE to get a crown, $968 not covered by benefits. Couldn't leave fast enough. Went to REAL dentist the following week. They refused to put in a crown, repaired the filling. Looks perfect, feels great, under $300 and covered by benefits. Able to take an x-ray without causing pain.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST, they continuously try to tell you, you will need certain treatments which are not accurate. I had a treatment plan here but then had to go to another dentist for wisdom teeth removal and they stated I didn't need everything tooth works said I did. I then switched dentists and tooth works was incessantly calling me. They are just after the insurance. they do not care about their patients' needs.

This place is absolutely amazing. I am insured by OW and a lot of places decline me or don't treat me the same because of it and refuse to treat me as an emergency patient. With Toothworks it does not matter who you are with, they worry about you first and everything else second. They booked me in within half an hour of me calling and saw how much pain I was in and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable because they understand that tooth pain is a one of a kind hell to go through. Their staff is awesome too I had my baby in the waiting room with me and they watched him while I went in for the check up and the girls absolutely loved him ! 2 weeks later when I called to say the pain came back with no hesitations they helped me and called me back in minutes with a better prescription . I will never go anywhere else and I definitely will recommend Toothworks to everyone I know.

Do not use as an emergency dentist. They would not fill a cavity or do any repair. Just took an x-ray and filed down the sharp piece and told me to follow up with my dentist. $250 for nothing.

They do good work and there is a positive vibe there but they will leave you in pain. Even after serious surgery they won't give you enough pain management medicine at all. Not everyone who needs pain management turns into a drug addict. I won't be returning because of this. They will leave you in agony

BEWARE!!!! My entire family has been told numerous times that we had many cavities every single time we go there, even though at our old dentist we never had any. Sometimes we wouldn't get them fixed in fear of how much it would cost and if we got another dentist the following checkup, they would be confused to what cavities we were talking about.. meaning if we had them fixed, they would have been destroying perfectly healthy teeth. I am a 45 year old big baby and deadly afraid of dentist. I been suffering with a tooth pain on and off for years since dr beneskys office destroyed that tooth. I finally couldnt take it anymore and called around on a fri at 9 am to find someone who could fix it for me. Everyone couldnt get me in till at least Tues so I called tootkworks and they got me in 45 minutes later! Dr shin was so gentle and despite every effort to save my already decayed tooth she had no choice but to extract it. She assured me it was a back molar and would not be noticable. She could of done like dr beneskys office and kept repairing an already to far damaged tooth and milked more money out of me for future sufferings but she went with the humane route. Now I did say I was a big baby? But she was so gentle and she hummed a beautiful song while working on my tooth that I was distracted and honestly barely felt anything! Thank you dr shin for taking care of me properly. After the procedure the friendly staff provided me with after care instructions and had already billed my provider so I just got to leave!!!!

Cf Fairview in Kitchener. I booked an appointment 25 days in advance. Went in for the appointment and they said I had called and cancelled (I hadn't!!) I showed them my phone records and the one girl started saying maybe someone else called and cancelled for me! Absolutely insulting manners. And they offered me a free coffee. As if that solves anything at all. Please never go to this location

I have only 1 complaint. My back tooth cracked in half and the remaining tooth was very sharp, so my tongue was getting cut and scraped. I called on a Thurs. around 1:00 p.m. to get in to have it fixed. I was told there were no dentists after 5 p.m. which i didn't understand because they are open later. My options were to go over at 4 p.m. to have it filed down, or go on Fri. at 2:30 p.m. to get it fixed. I took the appt. on the Fri. so i wouldn't have to take time off work 2 days in a row. I went to my appt. on Fri. and was told by the dentist that she didn't have time to fix my tooth so she filed it down and i had to go back on the Sat. I was angry because i was told it would be fixed on the Fri. and i took time off work to go on Fri. I wasted my time and lost money for nothing. I'm a new patient at this clinic so I'm now wondering if this will happen again when i need work done. Hopefully it was a one time incident!

I would recommend Toothworks Fairview Park to my friends and family especially those with kids that are anxious about visiting a dentist. My 9 year old was so happy with the way she was treated. The dental hygienist was very friendly, patient and polite. She made the experience one of a kind. She deserves an award in customer service and time management. 5/5 for exceptional customer service and professionalism.

It is a very good clinic , amazing staff and their services wonderful but I have one issue which made me very upset of them .. where for two times they give me the estimated cost for the required treatment but in each time and after finishing and going for payment , they ask me to pay a different amount than the given estimated cost and they difference between both costs is too big , especially for the second time , where the amount was the estimated cost multiplied by 3 times . Really that issue made me very upset and when I asked them for the cause , they gave me unreasonable reasons which are originally not my responsibility ... Anyhow , I will keep going with them because as I mentioned above , they have wonderful dentists but they should be more accurate in their calculations ... at least informing the patient with any difference before going ahead in the treatment .

I have paid THREE TIMES to have my permanent retainer re-cemented at this place - I no longer have an orthodontist as he has retired, and my retainer is 12 years old. It is bent and needs to be replaced, my teeth have shifted tremendously in the last year. Every time I go into Toothworks and say it needs repair, they say it's fine and just slap more glue on it. The glue breaks off every single time...tonight once again. I no longer have benefits and can't afford a fourth time to have it re-glued. By the time I can afford to pay yet again, I'll probably need full braces to fix the movement in my teeth. So disappointed in the quality of orthodontic care here. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Kelly in the Kitchener location has given an outstanding service for me. I wanted to cancel an appointment that was booked with boardwalk location and it was less than 24 hours for the appointment date. I called Kitchener location and Kelly picked up the phone. She said she would call to a known person in boardwalk location in order to cancel the appointment. She had a courtesy to call me back and confirm the cancellation. The way she handled the situation was very professional. An employee like Kelly is an asset for your business.

They are great with kids and the hygienists are wonderful. However, my experiences with fillings are getting more and more painful and disappointing. The dentist started drilling right after injecting the numbing agent, without giving it time to set in. Also not using enough numbing or not in the right spot the first injections. The drill sometimes chews up my inner lips that I don’t notice until I leave and look in the mirror and then when the numbing wears off it’s sore for days and my gums are still bleeding. I haven’t been able to chew on the right side of my mouth in over a month since a filling done there because of the shooting pain I get biting something. The second time mentioning it to my dentist she prescribed me Advil for the pain; I guess it just can’t be fixed now. The fillings aren’t polished so I get rough spots on my teeth that bother me for weeks until my efforts have finally smoothed them enough to not bother as much. I used to like coming here but now I’m afraid of the drilling pain and sore mouth for many days after. All the ladies are so friendly and kind but I wouldn’t recommend anyone get fillings done there.

Tooth works has been amazing. I have had severe anxiety previously while visiting dentists but ever since I went to Toothworks, they have helped ease my anxiety with their professionalism. Would definitely recommend them. Bonus, they even work on weekends so that certainly helps!

I wish i could give it zero stars. To begin with the dentist gave a wrong recommendation to go with permanent filling rather than temporary filling to save their time. This ended up me getting an infection in the tooth. I followed up with another appointment after a few days as the pain was unbearable. The doctor prescribed more painkillers and gave a time slot which was almost 3 weeks ahead. As the medicene was ineffective I consulted again and was given more painkillers. I ended up going to the ER in the night as the pain was unbearable which was even in vain as they take 5 hours of waiting time in emergency. As an international student I would recommend all the International Insurance bearers to not consult this institution as you will only end up in more trouble due to failure in proper diagnosis and treatment.

Use of outdated contact info with current info available. Lack of communication. Waits until the day of appointment to contact you with important details so that they can charge fees upon cancelation. In the past, I've had my dentist give an injection before cleaning without asking if I'd eaten. I immediately went cold but had the sweats. I couldn't move much but was shaking unintentionally. They gave me a Gatorade and a granola bar and said "you should have told me you hadn't eaten" as if I was told to eat before hand and was the one with a degree.. I haven't trusted them since and haven't attempted to go back for 4 years for this reason. My first time trying to book an appointment since then, and the lack of communication is still very present. I also did not fail to show as the response says. Upon speaking with the receptionist it was canceled. I had also already been in contact with toothworks via email so it clearly wasn't the only method of communication.
