I came to Rideau Town Dental on a friend's glowing recommendation of what a good experience he had; a friend that is extremely nervous in a dentist's chair and the sound of a drill. I live in the area and shop at the Rideau Mall and when I saw the sign accepting new patients, I donned my mask and knocked on the door (because of the COVID 19 pandemic). I received an appointment for the next day. My dentist had retired. I was with him 50+ years. Dr Walid's staff are welcoming, friendly, professional and very knowledgable. His dental office is spotless and modern. I loved seeing the real time pictures of my teeth as Emily carried out her thorough exam in advance of Dr Walid's inspection for cavities. Emily was meticulous and I felt assured and comfortable in her expert hands that my teeth were the cleanest of clean. Dr Walid's exam revealed surprises other than the two chipped teeth that brought me in there. I left feeling calm and a with a future appointment to fill 3 small cavities. I guess not surprising since it's been over 2 years that I've had a dental assessment. 10/10 to Dr Walid and his entire team at Rideau Town Dental.

I was without dental coverage for quite some time, and I had a bunch of work to be done - Dr. Walid Al-Saadi knew I didn't coverage, and played it straight with me; "it's this much for an extraction, it's this much to try to save the tooth", etc. Because he knew that I was paying out of pocket, he did everything he could when it came to keeping the final invoices as low as possible. That type of honesty and directness is rare these days. And to top it off, he does amazing work! The support staff and the hygenists are top notch, friendly, and incredibly talented. I'm a bloody mess when it comes to deep cleanings, and they're absolute pros.

Each of the staff greeted me and made me feel welcome and at ease. During my appointment I did return to the waiting room briefly but was comfortable sitting by the fireplace. I was also able to see other patients interacting with the staff, all very positive. The dental options were explained to me in detail. There was nothing I did not anticipate. All the staff went out of their way to check on my comfort level throughout each procedure. My hygienist went out of her way to explain steps she was taking and to make sure I was comfortable and not feeling too anxious. My dentist and assistant totally put me at ease and the procedure was completed without any anxiety. I have already shared my positive experience with friends and family. Outstanding experience! I broke a big chunk of my front tooth opening a plastic bag and I got very worried that I have to implant or put a fake new tooth which could be expensive, but Dr. Walid (I think this is his name) put me at ease when I phoned the clinic and fixed it the next morning with ease and without putting a new tooth. It looks so natural now that I dont know which tooth it was! Strongly recommended.

The receptionist I will say is super lovely, and very responsive. Dr. Walid, however, is the disappointing part of this practice. I have been going there very regularly as I have a new appliance that needs regular check up, as well as a few fillings. The second time I saw Dr. Walid for my cavities he said a rather large one was unseen in a previous visit and he didn't have time to fill it in that visit... how was it missed the first time? So I had to go back again to fill the tooth they missed on the first visit, and he said, "have I met you before?" I went back yet again to check how my teeth were shifting with the appliance, and he says "I can't remember what we started with, or what your teeth looked like". This is super disappointing to be paying a lot of money out of pocket (as I don't have dental benefits), and having this dentist have no clue who I am, or why I'm there, and having no recollection of what's happening with my teeth. The overall care of the dentist has been truly disappointing, really the only thing keeping me there is the receptionist. VERY poor care.

My family have gone to Dr Walid since he opened his practice and we’ve been extremely happy with the excellent care we’ve received. The staff are highly knowledgeable and welcoming. All our questions are answered, everything is carefully explained, and we receive helpful advice on prevention. I’ve sent friends to Dr Walid and they’ve been as happy as we are.

I had been struggling with a chipped tooth that had had several repairs done to it with little success. So I contacted the clinic on the recommendation of good friend who is also the receptionist at the office. She was able to book me an appointment quickly, easily and one that suited my work schedule (shiftworker). The repair was completed 3yrs ago and have not had a problem with it since. I have become a regular client now and truly enjoy my appts as the staff is extremely friendly and caring. Always an amazing experience at this clinic! Thank you to Everyone

My son is only 6 and said that he would go over and over to the dentist because they were so nice and he was so happy he was able to watch netflix while they did his work. He had no pain after and the service was done well. My daughter had a bad experience with another dentist a little while ago and the work was not done well. Dr.Walid Al-Saddi was so kind to her she left with no pain and happy enough that she is OK with having to go back. As a parent I cannot tell you how relived I am that neither child is scared to go to the dentist. Dr. Walid Al-Saddi and his team are great to work with and so kind to the children. I would recommend them over and over again!
