Great first experience a few weeks ago, but disappointed they did not let patients know they were going to close. No email, no phone call, their website doesn't say anything, and Google still says they are open.

The people in this office are very welcoming and treat you like family. They took good care of my teeth. When my partial broke they took it right away and fixed it so I had it back within two-three days. The place is always clean and they make sure that all their dentistry tools are sanitized. I had to move away, and will miss the way they all took such good care of my needs. Thank you to Canex Family Dentistry office

I am terrified of going to the dentist, even for a cleaning. Dr.. Gillis (Jr.) made me overcome my fears. Within the past month, Dr. Gillis painlessly and expertly removed a wisdom tooth - no pain, quickly and efficiently - and no issues afterward. Today, he removed two broken Silver fillings and replaced them with new white fillings. These were large and very close to the gum line. His skill, expertise, efficient and kind ways made today's session a breeze. He is exceptional. He will be mu dentist of choice forever! Arlene

I'm not someone who feels comfortable going to the dentist. It has definitely improved after going to this office. The ladies on the front desk are always so kind and accomodating. All hygienists have been polite and very professional. My preference has aways been with DR. Chen, she is quick, efficient and mind while ensuring that your are recieving the best dental care. All around a great place!

I was here 2 days ago. I’ve been a patient for years. Everything was great (as usual) until check out time. The snotty brat at the desk told me I owed money from last year. When I asked what it was for she said “I don’t know, I didn’t work here last year.” I said my insurance should cover 100% so I was just wondering what wouldn’t be covered. She said “it’s not my job to know your insurance, that’s your job.” I’ve never had someone talk to me like that before. It’s always need a good experience. That kid lacks basic customer service skills. You should reconsider who you have on your front desk greeting your customers. I only wish I got her name. She had a floral mask on and if you ask, I’m sure she’ll recall this ignorant conversation.

This office is remarkable, efficient with service and recommendations. I have had bad luck with dentists whether it was pain, expense, recommendations that are not necessary or just poor attitudes. Dr. Chen and Dr. Gillis have made me a non-"anti-dentite"!

What a " Great Experience" Our family recently moved to Kingston. We were looking for a dental office that would offer services for both children and adults. The office was very accommodating, kind and courteous to guide us through the process of becoming patients. The dentist and staff were all very knowledgeable and took the time to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this office to anyone

They obviously only care about milking as much money from you and your insurance instead of treating the patient. Please save your money and time and go with a better Dentist in Kingston

Amazing service for the entire family. My 11 year old son, my husband, and myself moved to Kingston 18 months ago and we all needed dental work. The experience was superb and my son was not even worried about getting needles to have a few teeth pulled. The entire staff put the patient experience first & made our visit enjoyable. Highly recommend this office for any dental work! I came to them as a new patient, and not being to a dentist in years due to anxiety/bad experiences in the past from other Dentists, they treat me as if I've been there for my hole life. All the ladies upfront are friendly and helpful and Dr. Gillis is AMAZING. Even though he is always swamped he makes a point to set it all aside and focus on what you are there for. No matter how big or small your concern is, they make you feel well taken care of. Not having added anxiety about my dentist visits makes life easier during these tough times. Keep up the great work guys! It is so nice to actually look forward to coming in for appointments!

In any kind of medical setting I like to at least have a general understanding of what's going on or being done to me. I don't visit the dentist regularly (my family has a surprisingly good track record with their teeth) and am not overly familiar with products, equipment and procedures. I made my first dental apnt in 10+ years last year for a check-up & cleaning - the hygienist was awesome and explained everything she was doing which I really appreciated. I was told I had the beginnings of one small cavity (the first I've ever had and not bad considering) and scheduled a second apnt to have it filled. I came in for my filling expecting the same kind of treatment/engagement but was unfortunately disappointed. I followed all of the instruction I was given but nothing was explained to me despite my explaining I'd never had a filling before; they clearly made the assumption that I knew what was going on/was familiar with the procedure. I asked the Dentist to please tell me what the tools were for/what she was doing as the filling was being done and was told nothing. Everyone was polite (no rudeness at all), but I can't say I was treated with any kind of personal touch or consideration. Perhaps my expectations were too high. This experience won't prevent me from going back, but it's not one that makes me want to recommend them. For anyone who is familiar with dental procedures this may not be a deterrent.

Not happy at all with this place. My daughter has a ton of problems with her teeth and required two baby teeth to be pulled because of the grown up teeth coming in to fast and causing an infection. After they were pulled i was to make an appointment for her to come back and have a spacer ring put around one of her teeth to keep a good distance between her grown up teeth when they come in. I made the appointment and my ex was going to bring her in. When she arrived the appointment was apparently cancelled. My ex received no emails to her junk email or inbox and no phone calls. Neither did i. My ex booked another appointment and when i took my daughter today, her teeth had shifted and the spacer ring would no longer fit. They acted like it was my fault for not booking sooner. I did exactly what they said to do. They cancelled the original appointment. They didnt properly contact me or my ex. Not happy at all
