Dr Holt is by far the best dentist I've ever had. He's gentle, very courteous, and he does great work. The staff in his office are proficient and professional. Always friendly reception too--great experience from the minute you walk in the office. For context, as privileged as I am to have access to dental work, I'm seriously not a fan of having it done. It's uncomfortable. Still, the folks at Holt Dental always make the experience as benign as I can imagine it being.

Holt Dental is a fairly new place for me (since January 2020) after neglecting my dental hygiene for quite awhile. I've been so impressed with every aspect of Holt, from the warm front desk staff and the knowledgeable hygienists. Dr. Holt is always very helpful in explaining procedures (I have a new bridge now, but have been exploring different options for that for the last 18 months or so) and I appreciate that he gives options that are both possible in a dental sense, and taking into account my financial needs as well. I've been going to Dr Holt for a couple of years now. I recently had a silver filling/cracked molar situation restored to a white filling. Dr Holt was completely finished before I even realized it. So very fast and excellent work. I can eat steak again without pain, hooray!

I've been going to Dr Holt for a few years now and before that I went through dentists searching for a good one. Other hygenists/dentists would leave you actually hurting after the appointment, or recomend fillings one visit but not the next? Dr Holt is very honest with the situation, and is not pushy with services at all. His new office on Taylor is state of the art with the improved (lower radiation?) x-ray machine that renders a digital image on a screen which he then uses to review your xrays with. Hygenists are all top notch, really quite exceptional... and of course you have TV while you are being cleaned/polished as is the norm these days. I would gladly recomend Dr Holt to anyone in search of a dentist without hesitation.

I rated most things 9 rather than 10. This allows my two 10s to stand out. Firstly, when I walk in, I really like the hi-how-are-you and smile, thank you. Secondly, hygienist Izabela. She helped improve my brushing method. She suggested for me to put her (gloved) finger in my mouth, move her finger like I move a brush. She diagnosed that I push too hard on my brush. She also showed me evidence of wear on my teeth and gums, possibly caused by my brush/toothpicks/floss, that no hygienist or dentist had ever pointed out. She gave me a rubber ‘pick’. She coached me to spend more time using a vertical stroke than a horizontal one. Very professional, very empathetic, thank you, Izabela.

"Fun" and "Dentist" are rarely paired together in the same sentiment...until you find yourself at Dr. Holt's office. Each visit is enjoyable from the exuberant front office experience to the delightful, professional hygienists, to of course, Dr. Holt. Up to date tools and tec, always greeted with a smile and treated with respect by an intelligent and kind staff. Dr.Holt explains to his patients the procedures and choices they can have and works out what is best with their particular situation (health and pocket wisely). They are also very gentle with the needles and make it as pain free as it can get in the procedure. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOLT DENTAL.

Listen, if you're considering a dentist, I encourage you to choose Dr. Holt. Why? Because he is the same caring, genuine, expert practitioner as he was when he started the business years ago. He is knowledgeable, hires great competent staff and creates a vibe in the workplace that almost has you forgetting you're in a dentist chair. You know the drill! lol :) He is accommodating, if you do not have coverage he will work with you offering a payment plan. If you have an emergency tooth pain, he will empathize with you and seek quick relief for you. He's even written me a prescription on his day off while spending time with his family. Unexpected and beyond the call of duty. Overall a great guy running a top notch practice. ????

I got 3 front teeth restored today and I didn’t feel any of the the needles I received. The hygienist held my hand and was extremely extremely nice and supportive. I no longer have anxiety about going to the dentist. I can’t even believe I’m able to say that after 30 years.

If every dental office was like this I think people would have much cleaner teeth. The building is modern, clean, and bright. The receptionist, Tracy, greeted me with a smile and got me set up with all my paperwork quickly and made sure everything was in order on my way out. Izabela was my dental hygienist, she is great at what she does and makes getting your teeth cleaned a lot less uncomfortable with her jokes. Dr Holt himself was as great as the rest of his team. He was very friendly and made sure I understood exactly what was going on in my mouth. If you've had bad experiences other places in the past I highly recommend you check these folks out, you'll be glad you did.

My name is alex lovat and I recently needed to find a new dentist as I moved back to winnipeg and I needed my wisdom teethout. All 4 actually and I thought from the beginning how terrified I was and how I wanted to be put under for the procedure. I am very terified of having needles in my mouth but incredibly dr holt made me feel so comfortable that I was willing to be awake and let him take out my top teeth, a more simple procedure considering that my top teeth were grow in strait and would be easy to extract. I also need to mention the awesome secretarial skills of Tracy. She was my first point of contact with the clinic and every time I speak with her she is warm, welcoming, and very very good at her job. Bella the hygienist also did an amazing job cleaning my mouth :D they are like my dental family and make me feel so taken care of. Thanks guys!!!!!!

The best dental experience you can get. I've been going to Holt for ~5yrs or so. I was recommended by a friend and have recommended so many others. They've been the most friendly and accommodating (and also are absolute pros)! Everything from an emergency root canal to regular maintenance has been an absolute pleasure. I had a family member in town once that had a dental emergency - they made time to see her right away and fix the issue. Cannot possibly give enough stars.
