When I first met the team I was in a whole lot of pain suffering from an abscessed tooth that needed a root canal…all made worse by the fact that my husband and I were travelling through on our honeymoon!! It was a very scary experience not knowing where to go or who to call when you’re travelling far from home and so one sleepless night of research on the internet and many packs of ice later we found the Apple Dental Centre! I must be honest I was expecting a hassle when we arrived to the office (me in tears) to beg someone to please look at my tooth; but the very nice hygienist took me in right away and numbed the area with some gel so I had some relief and the wonderful assistants took care of all the paperwork with my husband. I must say I have NEVER been so happy to see a dentist in my life!! :) When Dr. Smith walked in I felt immediately at ease. He was very gentle and acted fast to get the area frozen for me while he took some x-rays. He found the problem and with a two step process that kept us in Kelowna for an extra day (the assistants were all very kind in telling us all the places we could go see while there) I was back to my regular pre-root canal self!! My husband and I talk about the team at Apple Dental Centre and Dr. Smith all the time and reflect on what an adventure we had while on our honeymoon! You guys made what could have been a disaster during such an important time in my life into just a brief hiccup so that I was able to go on to enjoy the rest of our honeymoon with my new husband :) Thank you so very much for your kindness and making us feel welcome. You are ALL wonderful!!!

Dr Smith and his staff are always very friendly. I like that I never need to endure hours of manual scraping by a hygienist as Dr. Smith himself uses an ultrasonic scaler and can scale my teeth in about ten minutes. Much better technique for those of us with sensitive teeth. Have been going here for probably 25 years.

I don't have anything particularly original to add to review this practice; the experience I received was in line with what other reviewers mentioned. Dr. Smith was very proficient at his job. I am an easy patient as my teeth seem to be in good shape, but he took the time to explain some things to me and relate on a personal level as well. Some of the gear wasn't as fancy as the place I used to go to, but the staff here seem more proficient. This was only my first visit but I will be back. Some dentist offices seem to be in the business of just cashing in on people's insurance benefits, but I got the impression here that they genuinely enjoy doing a good job. I'm used to waiting 10-15 minutes after my scheduled appointment to see the hygienist, and then another 10-15 minutes after that to see the dentist. Not the case here - I was in and out quick and efficiently. Much appreciated as, like most people, I'm quite busy and don't have time to waste.

The best dental team I have ever had! Yesterday I had a triple cavity repair and although I was petrified of the needles and the process, Dr. Smith and his assistant made every step go painless and easy. Today, after the freezing was worn off completely, I went in for a final adjustment on one of my fillings, and for the first time ever I sat down in the chair and was completely at ease.

He is a very caring and professional and every experience I've had there has been great. I've called tehre countless times in an emergency, they always find a way to get me in and fix me up. If I don't have the money to pay right away, they accommodate me. Dr. Smith and his staff go above and beyond. I love the ladies that work there, I have nothing but good things to say about the practice as a whole and about the staff.

I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Pooja and her team. My 5 year old daughter needed a major dental procedure done, including a tooth extraction. I worried about my daughter having a negative first experience with a dentist and having long term affects. They have always been so wonderful to me here! He always make sure I'm extra frozen because I like it that way. Right now I'm waiting to have a wisdom tooth out and all the staff are so kind and understanding about me being nervous. Nowhere else I would rather go than here. I have very high anxiety when I get into the dentist chair, even if it’s only for a cleaning. I just had a cavity filled & Dr. Smith knows that I need the extra freezing & pre-freezing done prior to any work being done. He goes slowly with the needles as he gives me the extra freezing & explains what he’s doing thruout the whole procedure. I’ve been a long standing patient & I highly recommend Apple Dental Centre, Dr. Smith & his caring staff????????????????????

Tried this office after having bad experiences with other Kelowna dentists (over priced,pushy sales tactics, ect.) and was very pleased with the level of professionalism and care shown. Dr Smith actually did the cleaning with a special ultrasonic tool that eliminated costly scaling time.I left with clean teeth and the lowest bill I ever had from a general exam including x-rays! I highly reccomend this dentist for anyone looking for a new one or just arriving in town.
