Nothing demonstrates the quality of practice as well as what happens when something goes wrong. I approached Dr. Amato of Downtown Dental with growing discomfort with a dental repair he had done for me. He was immediately receptive and interested in correcting the problem. What followed was a lengthy process during which I was kept well informed, treated with respect, warmth and kindness. He is a responsible professional who demonstrates integrity through highly skilled practice and genuine concern for the well being of his patients. His willingness to listen to my concerns and act to correct the problem has earned him my respect and thanks both professionally and personally.

My head was pounding and my jaw was aching and Dr. Amato was able to save me from my pain in telling me my jaw and brain are at war with each other. He was able to derive further health issues like sleep apnea and GERD which I do suffer from but didn't understand the correlation until he explained it in detail. I was left stunned with his expertise and helping me manage my pain by using a Kois appliance to deprogram my brain and jaw. Dr. Amato is a genius and my life saver.

Honestly guys. This place is amazing. I'm middle aged and have lived in all four corners of this continent. I truly believe Dr Amato is the best dentist I've ever met. He may even be the best medical professional I've ever met. He's definitely top three. I've had two painless root canals and unlike previous dentists that blamed "grinding" for my problems, he correctly identified acid as the problem and this is associated with other medical problems I have since corrected. He is an amazing person and cares enough to do a great job. Full 100% recommendation!

My mother came here to get emergency work done but was turned away. She made her appointment online on Saturday for 8 am Monday morning to see Dr Kwon. When she arrived she was told her appointment was not valid and that they would not take disability dental coverage offered through the government. This is shameful!

Not impressed. Wouldn't respond to emails, would only call at early hours of the day while I wasn't at home. When they would respond to emails, it would just be them telling me I owe them more money for appointments that have already been paid for. Might be miscommunication, but organization is a necessity in dentistry.

Had a great visit today, staff were polite and professional, I was greeted right away and had a short 5 minute wait while the room I was going to be was sanitized. My hygienist got ready, got to work and throughout my cleaning stopped to ask if I was comfortable, at the end he was again asked how things were whether there were any issues or complaints to which I said no. Got my appointment for the next time and was out lickety split. Great visit would recommend their services.

Never been so disappointed with this place recently..been going to DD for over 25 years and will not go back any more..all regular front room staff has left and most hygienists are new and inexperienced..l recommended a new client to DD and nothing but problems right from entering the business while they had an appointment booked 3 months in advance..they have now lost my business and a referral and maybe more potential customers after they read my review..l do not recommend this dentistry office anymore after my eye glasses were sat on and broken by the hygenist by accident and the way l have been treated as a client..good luck DD..you dont have my support anymore

Great Experience! I called Downtown Dental as a new patient with a broken tooth. This office was able to see me that same day. The doctor explained and walked me through what was going to be done to my broken tooth. Both the back and front staff made my experience enjoyable. I can not accept the revolving staff at your location. Free water and snack bars are okay, but in this industry, it is the people that make the difference. You have a high turnover rate, and it is not good for your clients. Sorry to go, but I never know who my dentist or hygienist will be on any given appt. 3 times in 2 years you have switched my appointment with out any notification, and every time, a “note” was added to my file, but I don’t think anyone reads the notes at your office. You have let go of all of the good staff that I had know and built relationships with.

They tend to be a bit late with appointment times. I've been left waiting 15-30 minutes post appointment time. They dont do direct billing which is a pain, but the staff seem knowledgable and friendly.

Charged me for 4 units of scaling for a 45 minute appointment that consisted of gum probing (each unit of scaling is supposed to last 15 minutes according to my insurance) when I brought this up afterwards they just let me know that hygienist had been let go and offered me teeth whitening. I really just wanted the mis-charge to be corrected. It's a pain that I now need to find a new dentist. Be sure to double check what you are being billed for before settling at the end of your appointment.
