I recently moved to Canada and wasn’t sure about the dentists’ here and went ahead with my appointment based on the reviews I had read on Google review. I must admit that I don’t regret it one bit. Everyone that I came across during the whole process were so courteous and professional, to name a few, Melody the receptionist was so accommodating and friendly and was able to find me a slot with my short notice appointment request. Erin did a fabulous job with the Oral hygiene and cleaning, explaining each and everything thoroughly and constantly making sure that I was feeling alright. Dr. Russell MacSween did the final screening and I must admit that he treats his patients with great respect and that he truly cares. Hands down the best Dental clinic I have ever been to!

Having worn dentures for almost 40 years, the bone density in my upper jaw was degenerating and causing the under bite I had to be even more pronounced. Taking care of my 100 year old Mother over the years, I saw the problems she had with her teeth...eventually losing the lower denture in a tissue because they were so hard to wear while eating. Needless to say, I didn't want to go that same route so when I heard about dental implants, I visited three of the main dental implant specialists in Nova Scotia with a view to get the best bang for my buck. Dr. MacLean and the folks at Trimac Dental gave me the best service when it came to my final decision. In the end, and after a bone graft to provide additional bone in my upper jaw, I have just recently received my teeth. To say the least - they are perfect! Dr. MacLean took a very nervous female - me - and brought me through a very confusing and scary procedure. I mean, you wouldn't just ask ANYONE to drill 10 extra holes in your head to give you the perfect smile right? I felt comfortable dealing with Trimac Dental throughout the whole process. Dr. MacLean even offered to fix a break in my temporary denture after 11pm on a Saturday night before heading out for a 4am flight to New York the next morning! You just can't ask for better than that! I have no problem giving Scott and his team ten out ten marks if you ever consider getting implants yourself someday. Thank you Trimac Dental!!

Dr. Scott McLean saved my teeth in 2008! You see, I had a lifelong battle with my teeth from a very young age. To be brief, there were large fillings in my young teens, and then there were root canals, crowns and bridges throughout my 20's and 30's. There was lot of pain, but more than that it was financially crippling. Back in April 2008 a bridge fell apart and the diagnosis for other surrounding teeth was not good. I was so frustrated, I scheduled a trip to Toronto to have all my teeth extracted, and get implants with dentures. Before booking the flight, I happened to come across Dr. McLean online. I remember speaking to him on the phone and he asked that I drop by to see him before going to such measures. I also remember him staying late on his birthday. We both agreed that I should not go to Toronto to have the extractions. It was most certainly the best decision I ever made. Now, enough about me. Dr. McLean did a thorough investigation as to what teeth were in the most need of repair. The procedure involved several implants with crowns, and took about one year from beginning to end. Dr. McLean was informative, passionate and truly skilled at his craft. Everything was explained and there quite literally was no pain for me during this process. I remember going to Dr Archie Morrison for the implants themselves and Dr. McLean took the time to come along. It was very comforting to know that he was there and cared so much. In short, Dr. McLean is and will always be the one who took the time to save my teeth and my livelihood. Let's face it, it would have been difficult to navigate this world without teeth. My whole family goes to Trimac dental. I can't say enough good things about the welcoming environment at Trimac. I have three kids who enjoy going to the dentist. They like the hygienists, who always seem to remember what sports they play and give them a new toothbrush every visit. They love Dr. Scott and his chicken heads. I appreciate the fact that they try to accommodate our busy schedules and make us all feel welcome. Everyone at the front desk is helpful and friendly. I would suffer before i would go see a dentist .Finally, a friend recommended Dr Russle Macsween and he change my life. This office is always clean and staff is friendly. Dr. Greg Mckenzie is always available when you need him whether he is working or not. My whole family sees him including the in-laws. He really cares for his patients. I have been seeing him for at least 20 years and there had been one time (years ago, I had needed him in the off hour when he wasn’t working and he has called me when he had just gotten in the door from vacation and even offered to come into office. (Which I didn’t want to do that to him but like who does that?) I knew then, I had a great dentist. He and his lovely lady up front Dawn who does booking (and many other things run things very smoothly).

It's hard to make a trip to the dentist enjoyable, but Jessica, Mariah, and Dr. Lo went above and beyond. They squeezed me in for my first appointment when I was having some pretty unpleasant tooth pain. Dr. Lo made sure I left that appointment pain free and with a plan to address the issue. The follow-up appointment went smoothly and I was impressed by the same great quality of care. They handled all my insurance paperwork for me and I was quickly reimbursed after paying out of pocket. Their prices are modestly above the NS fee guide, so after the insurance payment I was only on the hook for a small amount. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Trimac, I was very impressed and I'm grateful to have a good dentist in Halifax!

Treatment was good but claiming process with my insurance was not helpful at all. I needed to pay almost all amount, executive working at front desk was not able to communicate well with my insurance company and amount charged on the invoice was also not clear at all. I will not go there for followed treatments, hence, I would not recommend this clinic to anyone unless one would like to pay by their own.

The dentist CHIPPED MY FRONT TOOTH. You don't expect to go to the dentist and have your teeth damaged. A chip in the very front tooth is a pretty big deal and very noticeable. The dentist had put a bit of filler in the tooth beside it, and when I went home I realized she had not left enough of a gap between my teeth so I couldn't floss. No big deal, I went back to have it ground down a bit so I could floss. The dentist was extremely rough with the drill or filing instrument, whatever she was using to grind down the excess. I went out to my car and looked in the mirror and saw that the dentist had put a nice big chip in the top corner of my front tooth, next to the tooth where she had been drilling. (She was not working on the front tooth, but the tooth next to it.) The front tooth was not damaged at all before the visit, and the dentist either didn't notice the chip she made (which is scary) or chose not to mention it (which is even worse). I went back into the office and told the staff that the dentist had chipped my tooth. They said there was nothing they could do, since the manager was not currently there. I left my number and was told the manager would call me as soon as she could. Days later I still had not received a call, so I called the office. They offered to have the dentist fix the chip, but since I no longer trust the dentist, I politely declined and asked for a refund, which I received. This is not the first problem I have had with this dental office over the years, and I will certainly not be returning. They do not do quality work. The original tooth that I had filled has a rough, bumpy and uncomfortable finish, which I have never experienced with other dentists I have been to. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone.
