From day one they were very understanding and willing to accommodate to help lessen my anxiety. WORST Dentist EVER visited. While booking an appointment for my 7 year old, I ensured I am covered 100% and I do not have to pay. I was told that I am. When we visited we had to pay all the money ourself even after having a primary insurance. Booked an appointment with senior doctor but was handled by juniors. From entering to exit entire experience was pathetic. It’s been 2 months now still waiting for our money to be returned.

I had a horrible dentist as a child and as a result avoided the dentists for YEARS!! A friend recommend Scotia Dental and all I could say was “where have you been my whole life!” They are so friendly and welcoming. They immediately remove any dental anxieties you might have and talk you through any procedure before performing them. Dr. Hussein and his assistant Kayla are very comforting, positive and delightful! My Hygienist Jennifer is equally as wonderful! I have had a cleaning, fillings and a crown and there are zero complaints from me. I have now recommended them to a coworker who has also had dental anxiety for years and still comes to tears speaking of her past experiences and now she is over the moon about the staff at Scotia Dental. I highly suggest them for anyone needing any dental work!

Kayla, Jen,Dr Murty, and everyone else here has been an amazing team to visit. I was terrified of the dentist. I mean, pee your pants, no holds barred, apologise in advance in case I throw up on you terrified of going to the dentist. I've been for 2 visits so far, and I actually think that I want them to be our family's go to. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and kind, even with my over the top fear. No one makes you feel rushed, silly or irrational, and they take time to talk to you like a human being, putting forward suggestions and advice. The ladies at the front desk(I neglected to get names), answered all my questions cheerfully and made me feel more relaxed even before I sat in the chair. I cannot say too many good things about this place. Clean, bright and shiny, I ended up feeling that, no matter the outcome, they honestly had my best interests at heart-something sorely lacking at my last office. I'm going again, and my family will be too! Great job, all@Scotia Dental !!!

I can't say enough about Dr. Macdonald and Kayla. They were so understanding and helpful. Dr. Macdonald told me about my mouth and identified issues I've been having my whole life(that have been missed by other professionals) during just the first visit.. You can tell she is passionate about helping her clients gain control over their oral health by the way she takes care to explain what the issues are and the many ways to fix them. She was thorough while being sure to not overload me with information and she was very reassuring. If you have anxiety about seeing a dentist this is who you should be booking with.

I went in because an old filling came out. They booked me for a routine filling replacement. After taking X-rays and checkup they booked me for a filling with Dr. Hussein. I had some pain at some point and instead of giving anesthetic, he sealed up the cavity with a temporary filling and said I would need a root canal or at least an hour long procedure that would cost me $1000- $1500. Since I didn’t have a great dental plan an sensing that that seemed like an unreasonable price, I went to Enfield Dental. They took another x-ray and said there was no need for a root canal. They booked me for a regular half hour filling and it cost me $190 total with no insurance. Avoid this place. Dr. Hussein is clearly fishing for higher priced unnecessary work and probably shouldn’t be practicing dentistry.

The excellent dentist explained a range of options from quick to long term work so that i understood that a better long term solution was required. Absolutely fantastic service. I arrived after an embarrassingly long gap between dentist visits but never felt judged or looked down upon. They were very condescending while telling me my sons discoloration and pain on his back teeth were because I never taught him to brush properly and claimed I only had him brush before his appointments and not do it daily. I took him to another dentist who immediately recognized that he had no enamel on his back teeth. It was a genetic issue which developed before he was born. They couldn't believe that the dentist here at scotia dental didn't recognize it immediately and my son had to be sent for dental surgery immediately. Had I listened to scotia dental (despite knowing my son brushes extremely well 2-3 times daily) instead of going for a second opinion they said he would have likely lost half of his teeth.

I got there 7 mins late on my apointment at lunch time, and had called 20 mins earlier to let them know I would be late, no answer so I left a message. Also when I booked my apointment I had let them know I would be 5 mins late on that day. When I got there they told me the dentist had left and would not come back for an hour and half after their lunch break. Empathetic receptionnist staff fortunately.

I'm so happy with my new smile thanks to Dr. Mary-Anne MacDonald and her assistant, Suzette. They are awesome! I had 40 sets of invisalign aligners so you can imagine how many times I had to visit the dentist. They were friendly and efficient and explained all of my questions using general terms that most people can understand easily. I highly recommend you see them if you are thinking of getting invisaligns. I'm sure they are happy to see you for any other dental needs too.

I recently took my 7 year old daughter to Scotia Dental for a check up and cleaning. She was a bit apprehensive to go to the appointment. The Dental Hygienist, Jennifer McNeil, completely put her at ease by explaining the process in a way she could follow and understand. She really liked the sunglasses, praise for her recent good brushing, and the treasure chest at the end. I was very impressed with Jennifer’s professionalism and demeanour. I've been a patient at Scotia Dental for about 20 years and I can honestly say that I look forward to my dental appointments - the staff are welcoming and friendly, the hygienists do a fantastic job and, as an example of the exceptional service, I've recently twice had cavities repaired carefully and painlessly, without anesthetic, by Dr. Hussein. I've never had to wait for any length of time, they bill my insurance provider directly, and I'm confident I'm getting the best possible care. Did I mention no pain?

By far the best dental clinic I've ever been too. I'd recently been diagnosed with cancer, The team here was very knowledgeable and thorough to make sure that everything got taken care of that needed taken care of. They went out of their way to make sure that I got appointments done in a timely fashion, so that I could focus on the challenge ahead. Their compassion and understanding really helped me get through a difficult time in my life. Dr. Murty in particular had a great bedside manner and was very skilled in her treatments. Her thoroughness caught a hard to detect infection under the gum that would have caused me serious health issues when I started treatment. I'm very grateful to the entire staff, from the friendly front desk to one of the most skilled dental hygienist I've been to, to Dr Murty herself. If you want a great dental team that will get you the best treatment, you need look no further.
