If you have any fear at all of dentists, come here!!! Dr Moore is awesome, takes her time, explains everything and will make sure you are comfortable before proceeding with any treatment! I recommend this place 100%

Mumford Family Dental Centre have been my dentist ever since I moved back to Halifax. I fell in with them because they would give me an appointment the next day for a tooth I had broken and it was hurting so badly. I have been their loyal client now for over 2 years and have had a couple of other times needed immediate attention. They will work me in asap and I have been so grateful. Also as with most people I don't like the dentist but now I don't worry that the needle will hurt 'cuz they are the best I have ever experienced at the dreaded poke. Call them, you won't be disappointed.

The receptionists borderline harassed my family and I called at-least twice a week trying to change appointments after I said over and over I'm happy with the appointment I have scheduled then lied and said my mother changed the appointment for me when she doesn't even live with me. Since I left there I have now a problem with my Jaw cracking I have never had before, I now have a tooth with a point that wasn't there before it hurts my bottom tooth when I bite down, I had an infection at the bottom of my tooth right after I got work done and was in so much pain I had to go the hospital where they gave me a shot of anti inflammatory and fourteen days of pills, (Missing work too) then I went to a more experienced dentist who gave me a prescription for antibiotics and refereed me to a specialist about my jaw and with her 20 years experience said the dentist at Mumford Family Dental Centre as a result of her work that's why you are having all these issues. I do NOT recommend Mumford Family Dental Centre.

I've been with MFD my whole life and really click with the Dentists, Hygienists, and Administration, and staff. They are great with communication and are a compassionate team, I really can't say enough about them and always recommend their practice. My current dentist is Dr. Moore but there are three to meet with if you're interested in meeting the team.

VERY disappointed! I went there to fix a small cavity, few weeks after I felt pain and discomfort with that tooth. It was bothering me when I was eating or drinking. I called to ask if they can take a look at it agin. They told me that the dentist was on maternity leave but another dentist can take me. I was there for 5 minutes, they polished my tooth and said hopefully that can help me. BUT they charge me $53 for the 5 minutes that I was there for a cavity that they fix but was bothering me. Not cool at all. Not a friendly receptionist either.

Dr Moore has been absolutely amazing in a couple of dental emergencies I've had; I can't thank her enough for the quality of care and efficient service she has provided me. The whole staff is wonderful. They will always make time at the last minute if a patient is suffering. They have been wonderful with my energetic kids. 5 stars!!

Myself and my kids have had several urgent dental issues and Dr Melanie Moore and her associates have always managed to squeeze us in and make things right. I cannot say enough about how kind, positive and accommodating they are - not to mention, extremely skilled dentists. I actually don't dread the dentist anymore.

I just recently became a patient of mumford family dental center and all i can say is wow... such friendly ladies even in the midst of covid which im sure cant be a pleasant time from the reveptionist staff which all are super sweet and friendly had my initial appt with dr meredith lowe and her lovelly assistant theyall made you feel at ease and comfortable and you understood each step im.usually a super anxious and nervous nelly at the dentist they really seem to make you at ease in the chair and take there time and are super gentle when they can be . Sooo glad i took.a chance and called them out of the blue when looking for a new dentist. (Add on edit! ) Ended up back multiple times with dry socket due to no fault from myself or theirs and they were fantastic so patient and kind dr moore really made an impression on me and going forward she will be my go to dentist. But they are are simply amazing you will never find a team of dentists who care like these ladies

I have been a patient with Mumford Family dental for many many years as are my adult kids and grandchildren. You couldn’t meet a better family oriented and professional practice. Dentists, hygienists and admin staff are the best ! I have to say I actually enjoy going to the dentist and would highly recommend this practice to anyone in search of dentists and hygienists.
