I can't recommend Dr. Awad and Handala Dental highly enough. Everything that has gone into the practice focuses on inclusive, kind, and informed care. The explanations and warnings before every movement and action make you feel at ease and respected. Not only do you feel your identity and consent are valued, but the dental care is fantastic! I've honestly never had such remarkable results from a cleaning and I appreciate Dr. Awad's care and expertise!

Honestly the best dental experience I’ve ever had! It had been a few years since I’d last been to the dentist and I was so impressed with the whole team at Handala. I’d recommend this practice to anyone - super friendly, inclusive and sensitive to anxieties around visits to the dentist!

I have never had such a wonderful experience going to the dentist before! From the forms I filled out pre-appointment which asked about my anxiety levels/triggers, to arriving and immediately feeling welcome. It also helps that Dr. Awad is extremely kind and funny. I can't recommend Handala Dental enough! As a member of the queer community it was also so nice to see how seriously they take pronoun use there. Thank you Handala Dental!!!!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Awad and his team. I switched dentists after a long time and change can be a bit scary but I really appreciated his warm, friendly, welcoming demeanor and his professional rapport. He clearly and concisely explained his recommendations and his reasoning. The space (including the intake process) also felt inclusive and welcoming. Rosario (Administrator) and Jessica (Dental Assistant) were also lovely and friendly.

My 4 and 6 year olds had their routine dental check-ups with the Handala team yesterday. It's a very warm and welcoming space. Dr. Awad was very respectful and sensitive to my kids and full of positivity! He made it such a great time that they immediately wanted to do it all over again :) We are lucky to have such a great new dental clinic in the neighbourhood.
