I felt an umph of positive energy as soon as I walked into Dr. Khambay’s office. From his contagious smile to his friendly staff, I truly never visited a dental office alike. I used to dread dentist visits, annual cleanings.. but not anymore! Their dental hygienist Marissa is also amazing - I went in for the first time in 3 years & she removed the tars on my lower rack of teeth beautifully. Never have I felt my teeth so cleaned in years. I also observed from afar their outstanding interaction with families/children. When I have kids, I’ll definitely be bringing them in! I now look forward to my next visit to Sequoia Dental (thought I’d never say this about going to a dentist????) !!

I truly could not be happier with my experience at Sequoia dental. I was really nervous and embarassed by my receding gums, but left completely comfortable and not at all upset. The receptionists were both so pleasant and friendly and instantly made me feel welcome when I walked in the door. After got the good review me and my wife visited the clinic.i was impressed by the hygenist marisa the way she take care cleaning part and later i heard from my wife she was happy too. I had the opportunity to met Dr.kambey and he was nice and knowledgable.However after my first visit i went for filling and Dr.kambey handled very nicely. As i informed them direct claim to my insurance company for billing so they agreed to go for that.Then after my second visit in a week i got severe pain and i called to the office .Cathy she was a very nice lady was able to arrange a time on that day and when i met doctor he gave me antibiotic and pain killer and asked me a schedule appointment following week evening for extraction.I was happy with that .But next following week when i visited I met Kathy receptionist and she said as my insurance company didnt paid for previous service full amount so i have to pay and unless i pay Dr.Kambey will not see me.I got very disappointed and unprofessional behave ,does that mean Dr. Kambey doing this just for money..I showed her from my insurance app that it said they paid all the money.But she said no they didnt pay.There was little argument and i was not happy at all as I can see clearly that my insurance paid directly full amount and they accusing they havent recieved money.I had an appointment for my tooth extraction and i had to cancel because as per their accusement money wad not paid so Dr.kambey cannot do any extraction until i pay.Next following day i called my insurance company and they said they paid full amount.i said ok you call them and ask why they saying this.After 2 hour cathy called me and said sorry they got some mess up with my billing but they found that my previous due was paid from my insurer. Since that day i lost respect to this dental clinic and because of Kathy not cathy i stop going to this clinic.There are lots of other clinic but it showed me clearly that administrative stuff are unprofessional to the clients.I am sorry but Dr.kambey is fantastic.

This office is a hidden gem. Its conveniently located, has fantastic hours that accommodate late evenings but more importantly the staff is wonderful. The staff is personable and friendly. The customer service at this place is off the charts! My first visit happened to land on my birthday - during my appointment, the staff gathered to sing happy birthday to me, and presented me with a Smile cookie from the Tim Horton's next door. :) It's a very cheerful atmosphere, and does a lot to relax you while you're getting dental work done, which helps! And more importantly, they care about the work they do, and want to make sure everything's right. Love that. I'll definitely be returning, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I'm terrified of medical facilities of any kind due to past trauma. I called ahead to let them know I have severe anxiety and panic attacks. They were honestly one of the kindest collection of people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Each step of the way they made it feel easy; from the very first phone call to the end of each appointment. They were comforting in explaining the procedure, checking on my anxiety constantly (they took notice of my shaking hands when I didn't even notice), they were a joy to be around (funny and good conversation) too, so that really took the edge off all while still maintaining a wonderful level of professionalism. I walk in there extremely anxious every-time but I ALWAYS leave with a smile, and not just because of my teeth. I have a feeling I'll be a regular patient to this office for a long time.

The office reception is simple, comfy and clean -- I know I'm not paying higher rates to subsidize luxurious reception areas like so many other dental offices. My 10 year old get panic attacks for any type of needle or medical procedure, but Dr. K and his team were kind, patient and took all the time she needed to get her tooth out even though she had a big panic attack. My teenage daughter needed to have 2 of her teeth "built up," so that her orthodontist can "finish up." We visited Dr. Khambay today and he made her teeth look amazing! The teeth look completely natural and no one will ever know she has had work done. The colour, the shape - everything perfect! Following her appointment, she had to go back to the orthodontist to get the brackets back on. The orthodontist and his assistant were very pleased with the work. I came into Sequoia Dental on December 24th with an infection in my mouth, extreme pain that began on the 16th, and symptoms that were worsening by the day. I had been to another dentist previously (who referred me to someone else who wouldn't be able to see me for 2 weeks), as well as to my family physician and the ER who prescribed me antibiotics and sent me on my way. Dr. Khambay was kind, reassuring, skilled, and dedicated to helping me. It wasn't until my second visit on the 27th when he was able to open my jaw wide enough for an x-ray that he was able see I had a very large cyst in my back jaw region (I definitely made for a challenging case). He referred me to Dr. Cooperband who saw me first thing the following business day and I also had surgery that same day. Dr. Khambay checked in on me everyday to ensure that my symptoms were not worsening and helped me manage my pain, as well as prescribed me antibiotics; it's very clear that he cares about the welfare of his patients. Dr. Khambay, his dental assistant, Sarah, and the ladies at the front made this unpleasant health issue a lot more bearable; I finally felt that someone was helping me. I can't thank Dr. Khambay and his team enough for all that they've done for me and I'm looking forward to coming in for a teeth cleaning when I'm all healed up. Thanks again!

I'm at UoG this year and had an incident where I fell and broke 3 of my front teeth. With home being a little farther away- I had to find a dentist in Guelph who could fix my teeth ASAP. I called a couple places trying to get an appointment but most places were pretty booked up and couldn't get me in. Sequoia Dental, like everyone else, was very booked up and busy- but they went above and beyond to find time slots they could squeeze me into their schedule, getting me in the very next day. All of the staff members were welcoming, trustworthy and personable, and Dr. Khambay was all-in-all just an excellent dentist whom you could really tell not only knew what he was doing- but also genuinely loved his career. When I went in, 3 of my front teeth were chipped and two of them were so bad that I ended up having to get two root canals. Sequoia did a fantastic job fixing my teeth, as I can hardly spot a difference from what they were before. Within 5 days they had my teeth looking nice enough that you wouldn't really know anything had happened, and within only 2 weeks they had fixed them to the point where many of my family members can't see any difference from what they were before. I can't even spot much thats different myself! If you're looking for a dentist I'd highly highly recommend Sequoia.

Dr. Khambay freezes my mouth before I have my teeth cleaned as I have severe sensitivity. I get half my mouth on one visit and the other half done the following day. I told Dr. Khambay yesterday he had the gentlest touch when administering the injections. I could barely feel them and having my teeth cleaned when my mouth frozen allowed me to experience no pain. The office coordinated the visits and made it work. I am very grateful - Susie is the best. My 17 year old son gets his teeth cleaned here and had a mouth guard made for him as he had excessive grinding. He had this made after he woke up one morning and a piece of his tooth chipped off from the grinding. I never have to remind him to wear his mouth guard to bed as it was a very stressful experience for him. If you have anxiety about going to the dentist I assure you - all your needs will be met and you will feel safe....you are in very good hands. Sequoia Dental should be avoided at all cost. Their perpetual use of the ugliest of mobile signs ( black background with florescent lettering) is a blatant disregard for their neighboring residents. The street scape of the city they do business in ( Guelph ). Their are many dental alternatives in the city, most of which have a much better respect for the city. Sequoia chose ugly over respectable! You should be ashamed of yourself.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! First of all I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fast, efficient, and pleasant dental treatment. I noticed my son 5 year old son had a swollen lip and what looked like a terrible infection under his upper lip, I called them and was able to get an appointment in 45 mins. Both Kathy and Cathy (the receptionists) we’re super sweet! Dr.Khambay is very a knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly dentist. Michelle the dental assistant also did a great job with initial assessment and throughout the whole procedure. I had 3 people in the room (Dr.K included) talking to my 5 year old and helping him make the decision to take his very first tooth out, for a whole hour! (Which extended beyond their working hours). And when my son resisted he told us to come back the next day, and I’m glad we did. This is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to and I’m glad that my son’s first experience with a dental procedure was at Sequoia dental! They are all in all amazing and will make sure that you leave completely satisfied :)

Yes, the atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming. Yes, the hours are great and the prices are fair. Yes, Dr. Khambay is friendly, kind, and funny. But most importantly, Dr. Khamby’s performance as a dentist is exceptional. I started experiencing sudden excruciating tooth pain on a Thursday night. By Friday I was calling every dentist in Guelph looking for a last minute Saturday appointment. Sequoia made the time to fit me in. The receptionist was relaxed and professional. The new patient intake process was quick and easy. Jillian, the dental assistant, listened to everything I had to say patiently and attentively. I explained that I recently had a bad dental experience elsewhere and warned her that I was likely to shake uncontrollably if/when I received freezing. I was impressed by how quickly and thoroughly she communicated all of my information with Dr. Khambay. I felt relaxed as he introduced himself, validated my concerns, and expressed his genuine request for feedback. He started the exam and I was calm. But when he discovered the source of my problem, I was shocked by the severity of the pain. I screamed, burst into tears, and started to shake. That laid back, joke-cracking, family friendly dentist transformed into a fast and focused expert with a mission. It was like a scene out of Grey’s Anatomy. He confidently took charge of the situation and moved faster than I’ve ever seen a dentist move, relieving my pain in minutes, while maintaining high standards of professionalism. He communicated with me clearly as he worked, and though I was in excruciating pain, I felt safe. Once the freezing had fully taken effect and I was out of pain, Mr. friendly and funny Dr. Khambay was back. He took the time to de-escalate the situation and return us all to a calm and comfortable atmosphere before explaining my treatment options. I decided to have the tooth extracted. My anxiety levels were extremely high, but I felt like I was going to be okay. He gave me a hand signal to have him stop at any time. He helped me focus on breathing by having me inhale and exhale along with Jillian’s counting. He validated my emotional response and obliterated all the negative feelings of embarrassment and shame that my crying and shaking were causing. Dr. Khambay is an expert in his field. I felt so completely taken care of. My physical and emotional needs in a moment of pain and vulnerability were not only met, but exceeded. Dr. Khambay goes above and beyond. My husband came to pick me up, and was so impressed by Dr. Khambay in the 10 minutes that he spent with us, that he immediately booked himself in for a new patient exam and cleaning. I did the same, and will be switching my three year old into Dr. Khambay’s care, too. My recovery went well, and the receptionist even called me back a few days later to see how I was doing. I am extremely grateful to have stumbled upon what is, without a doubt, the best dental practice I’ve ever known.

Upon arrival, the receptionists and dentist technicians were very hospitable, professional and dynamic. The laughs and energy made for a fun environment. After examining my X-rays, they concluded that my procedure required more periodontics expertise. As I sat in the chair, Dr. Khambay started calling trusted periodontists in his network. He even contacted professionals in Quebec (where I go to university) and we were able to set up an appointment for when I go back to school. He also put me in contact with a dentist in the area, should I need any other services. The customer service was above and beyond. I never thought i’d enjoy going to the dentist, but the team at Sequoia changed my mind! Everyone there is so welcoming, friendly and personable, especially the receptionists. I was having teeth problems and wasn’t a patient at this location being a student that is not from Guelph, however they got me in the next day immediately and addressed every concern I had and gave me so many tips. Marisa was my hygienist and the experience was amazing, she was super caring and was knowledgeable about everything she was doing. I HIGHLY recommend this location to everyone, this location set a new standard in my mind about how all dentists should operate.

Truly a great experience, I had a root canal done that I was definitely nervous for but the entire team made me feel at ease. I was laughing as soon as I walked through the door! I expected to have some pain following the procedure but could didn't have any and could eat easily within a few hours of leaving. Dr. Khambay is fantastic. When I needed emergency work, he got me in right away and was able to help. What I really love is that he is soooo good with my daughter!! She had to have a tooth pulled so he needed to freeze her and he literally did the freezing without her even knowing he did it! Wow! Never have I seen a dentist so good with kids. Everyone in this office is warm, welcoming, competent and professional, from the reception staff to the dental hygienists to Dr Khambay himself. I had an emergency peri-apical dental abscess and the staff have all been so courteous, knowledgeable and timely in addressing my concerns. They are also beyond generous - for my first visit the reception staff gave me a 10% out of pocket discount as I had already hit my insurance policy maximum for the year and for my second visit I was fully expecting to pay for an emergency follow up exam and procedure but Dr Khambay generously did not charge me anything for the second visit. The staff here have been so empathetic and caring throughout this stressful time. You can trust you’re in good hands here, they really care about the health and well-being of their patients, I highly recommend their services!

I just moved back to Guelph and I don't have a dentist here yet. I had complications from a dental procedure from another dentist back in my old town far away and no way to get there. I called the first dentist that was available that Saturday, they scheduled me in less than 40 minutes later to see what was going on, as I was in so much pain. First appointment was in the morning, they let me know that my tooth was infected from my previous root canal procedure at the other dentist, they then scheduled me in again for after they closed later that day, so that they could get me in, fix, clean up my root canal and redo it. They were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond. Very sterile procedures which I loved, since I'm prone to infections. Not only was whole staff absolutely nice and just really caring, but they were very professional and great at their jobs. No concerns what's so ever. They gave me the best root canal, and after 3 and a half weeks of pain from my previous dentist, just one appointment with them and the pain is gone. Definitely recommend. The staff is amazing

Although going to a dentist for a root canal is Never fun, my experience at Sequoia Dental was by far the nicest I’ve had with a dentist. Amber was able to fit me in for an emergency root canal (clinic stayed open to accommodate me which I appreciate more that they will ever know!). Amber kept me entertained while waiting my turn which was nice... lots of laughs! Dr. Khambay was phenomenal! Gentle, caring and kept me laughing! He really cares!! Fabulous first experience at Sequoia! The staff are incredibly kind, caring and fun and excellent at their jobs! The receptionist welcomed me with a smile and was very personable. Suzie (hygienist) was very thorough, personable and excellent at her job. She made sure to involve me in all areas of my care and gave detailed explanations. Dr.K is very down to earth and truly shows how much he cares about his patients. Overall great experience. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Sequoia for the past few months. They are very prompt with appointments, the staff is excellent and it is evident they love coming to work and working at this facility. Merissa has such a great positive attitude and work ethic. My teeth have never been so clean. Dr. Khambay is very good with his patients, taking time to make sure he can minimize any discomfort and is extremely personable. The facilities are bright and clean. I highly recommend Sequoia.

Sequoia Dental in Guelph is an excellent dental practice, efficient, well run. It is a clean office, with particular attention paid to Covid protocols. Equipment is up to date and clean. The dental hygienists are thorough, professional and gentle, as well as friendly. The practice is family friendly. Dr Khambay is jovial, friendly and puts his patients at ease with his sense of humour. Any procedure I have had with him has been well executed in a timely manner, with excellent after care and follow-up. I highly recommend Sequoia Dental.

Great experience, would highly recommend! I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, and actually stopped getting dental work done for a few years because of my fear. Sequoia was recommended to me and I recently went to get a check up and some fillings, and it was honestly the best dental experience I have ever had. They made sure I was very comfortable and were able to make accommodations for me as needed in order to make me feel more at ease. Very friendly staff and the filling process went very smoothly! I will definitely be sticking with this place from now on.

Today was my first visit to Sequoia. I can't say enough kind words about dental hygienist Marisa. She was bubbly, energetic and caring, and made me feel really relaxed. As someone who has anxiety and feels very self conscious about going to the dentist, I was less than calm. Marisa made sure I was comfortable with everything that was being done, and made me feel safe. We even had a few good laughs. It truly means the world to have someone acknowledge your fears, and help you to work through them in a positive way. I recently went in for a teeth cleaning on Friday, due to my gums bleeding. I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile so I wasn't sure what to expect. Marisa, the hygienist was so sweet to me and walked me through the procedure step-by-step. She let me be aware of everything she was doing beforehand and during, making sure to check in if I was feeling okay or needed a break. I followed her homework to continue after leaving the dentist and my bleeding gums literally stopped within a day and a half after being done at Sequoia. I will definitely be returning as this made me look forward to future dental appointments.

After being at the same dentist for 20 years, I decided to make a change. We were able to get in almost right away and felt extremely welcomed.
