For well over a year, the accounting has been a nightmare. Even after I've asked for pre authorization of benefits, i would continue to get mystery bills months later. Even when i had been back into the office, i was told "your good to go", and then get a bill for 4 months prior. This year i gave them one last chance, and after 3 months of receiving a treatment i was told was covered, i receive a bill for uncovered expenses. 3 months later they are phoning me a week before Christmas for payment, when i never received a copy of the invoice.

I went in for a new patient/regular hygiene appointment on the 9th of June 2020. Tania did my x-rays and she was extremely well informed. She made the process very swift and efficient. Dr Cojulun was very professional as well and he explained to me my x-rays and informed me all my teeth are in very good shape and health and I just have to keep up on my regular hygiene appointment. Then I went on with my hygiene with Alicia Bond. She was extremely courteous and full of energy and faultless. We had a very healthy mentor-trainee dynamic and made the cleaning experience very pleasant and I was out in no time. I would defenitely recommend West GP dental to anyone whose looking for a comprehensive dental office in Grande Prairie.

Both my kids recently got their wisdom teeth out. Dr Clyde was fantastic. All the people that were there during and after were excellent. They make sure you understand the aftercare. They make sure you know to call them or come in with any concerns you have. Free of charge. It's part of their service. When I got my tooth fixed the dental hygienist was excellent and very kind. The dentist was great too. There's a lot going on in there, it's a big place. Everyone is friendly!

I am not the easiest patient with my phobias related to all medical fields, but today I was experiencing a lot of discomfort with a badly decayed tooth and they were able to see me within an hour of calling. I won't say my experience was great, but that is more on a personal level than the staff there. Everyone there took my phobias seriously and I greatly appreciate that. Unfortunately I'll require more dental work done elsewhere, but no fault to the clinic. Strongly recommend this place.

I was new to the clinic due to not living in the area. The clinic is very modern and clean. I love that they are open 7 days a week and were able to get me in quickly. I only wish I was able to get the check up and repair to the tool done on one day and not having to come back a second day. I would recommend this clinic to anyone lookind for a clinic. My only real complaint is the front entry way where you remove your footwear. Once there is a good number of clients the front mat gets fairly wet and you have to walk across it with your socks to get to your footwear and end up with wet feet.

My experience with West GP Dental started when I attended their Invisalign Night. I have always been anxious of dentists and haven't gone regularly for that reason, but I have always wanted my teeth straightened so I went. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming that I was put at ease right away. We completed the express consult that night, and I attended the office two days later for a full consultation. Because I hadn't kept up on my dental there was of course some work to be completed, which I went in for a week later. At every visit, the staff has been warm and friendly, and I can actually feel comfortable at the dentist, which is something I have never been able to say before. They take the time to explain what needs to be done, and really care about their patients. West GP Dental has changed my opinion of dentists, and I will recommend them to anyone.

New Patient to the Clinic, did Paperwork Prior to Appointment. Arrived on time for my Appointment but had to wait over 25Mins before being seen. The layout of the Dental area that you are being seen in is open Plan Cubicles which offer no privacy to the Patient. That is a problem both Personal and Security wise as your belongings are in open view. I found the staff pleasant and friendly and the Equipment very hi-tech. The Dentist who saw me was good but overall I was not impressed with my visit as it all revolved around money for the work I was told I would need. Not enough thought on the customer service side. I will need reassuring that I will be treated better if I am to return.

But both times, one of the staff members held my baby for over an hour while I had dental work done. They even changed his diaper!

I would highly recommend this dental clinic. I had a dental emergency on a Saturday, my regular clinic was closed. West Grande Prairie Dental was able to see me that day, examined my mouth, took some x-rays and diagnosed the problem. As I had an infection and fractured root, they put me on an antibiotic, and were contacting my dentist on the following Monday. All the staff, from the receptionist to the assistants, and the dentist were pleasant, caring, and knowledgeable. I would consider coming here if my regular dentist retires or leaves.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and needed dental work as soon as possible... I called and they had me come in the same day for the exam. The dentist that did the exam, was professional yet down to earth, and gave good advice regarding the work needed. They booked me for 2 days later. Office staff are great, smiles and welcoming. When I went in, the hygenist was very helpful desipite my anxiety, and was extremely accommodating. The dentist that did the work on my tooth, listened to my concerns, and came up with the best plan of action for my current situation. She was so helpful, my tooth is absolutely perfect and no sensitivity and looks and feels like the tooth never had an issue. Attention to detail immaculate, and I was able to fully relax, and almost nap while she was working! I am so impressed by this office and recommend to my family and friends. 10/10.

The dental office is very nice and clean, the bathroom has an awesome change table set up. The staff are wonderful. However they charge exceptionally high prices. I spoke to another dental office that said something was passed in Alberta recently that stated dental prices should be uniform. They charge 20-30 dollars more for each item on my receipt, it adds up. I recommend calling them in advance to inquire about pricing.

Best experience! I had a bad experience with Prairie Mall Dental, who overcharged me for an examination and refused to fix my daughter's teeth. I went to West GP Dental for a 2nd opinion. The environment was relaxed, my 6 yo had a TV she could watch while they checked her teeth, they made sure I understood the upcoming procedures they would need to do and why, and provided me a complete and detailed breakdown of the costs (we dont have benefits). They were extremely professional and assessed me quickly. They put freezing in to immediately stop the pain and got me a prescription of painkillers and antibiotics. Completely unsanitary! I have dimple piercings that are 5 years old and have never been infected. I went there on a Saturday and by Monday they've became so horribly infected that Im on antibiotics for the next 10 days. They didn't offer a prescription for antibiotics nor were they sympathetic after the fact nor did they freeze me correctly for the terrifyingly loud rotarty tools used. They filled in a cavity and didn't polish it so now my tongue is sore from rubbing the rough filament they implemented.

This dental office prides themselves on excellent customer service/experience and it shows. They are over the top friendly, kind and willing to go the extra mile. I got annoyed with the million email and text reminders regarding an upcoming appointment and once joked that I don't know how anyone could miss their appointment with all of those reminders. The lady must have felt bad and immediately gave both myself and my husband a gift card as an apology for the hassle. It was totally unexpected but definitely appreciated, a small gesture like that goes far with me. There are other dental offices muuuuuccch closer to us but my family and I choose to keep coming back to this lovely place. Sadly most businesses don't seem to care or demonstrate their value for customers anymore. It seems good customer service is hardly a priority these days, it's hard to even get a "have a great day" or even a "hello" in a drive thru line for coffee. Every business should learn and strive to be like the Ritz Carlton on how they demonstrate exceptional customer service. Recognition is much deserved for West Grande Prairie Dental and I hope they never change.

I brought my 11 month old in to be assessed for a tongue tie and even though we opted not to go through with the procedure at this time, Alfred took the time to explain all of the potential risks and benefits and was very gentle with my baby. I felt comfortable to ask questions and in no way felt rushed. I was not pressured into going through with the procedure and I was not charged for the consult. Grande Prairie is very lucky to have such amazing team of Health Professionals (and support staff).

I was looking for a second opinion for my 7 year old daughter, who was very anxious about the dentist and needed fillings - our previous dentist referred us to a specialist for general anesthetic for fillings, which I thought seemed unnecessary and I was not comfortable with. I called at the beginning of August for a dental appointment for my aching tooth. The lady I spoke to told me should would get back to me. I explained I was in a lot of pain. She never ended up calling me back after a week, so I called them back again. She then informed me that there may be cancellations so she would call me if there is or isn't. She never called me AGAIN. So I called back asking to book an appointment and they told me they wouldn't be able to get me in till mid September. Meanwhile it hurts to eat anything.

What first impressed me was how up-to-date they were. However, I think what impressed me most was that, while they're serious about your dental hieygene (with the very latest in modern methods), the staff really enjoys what they do and enjoy working with each other. They were able to get me in right away to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. We ran into trouble with my insurance and I ended up getting in for my appointment late. Instead of only pulling 2 they rearranged some things and pulled all 4 still. The payment plan is also incredible! It's such a relief knowing that I can afford the dentist.

Went in for a cleaning and because I had some pain. Appointment went well. I got lots of information and was set up to go back for a consultation regarding the pain in addition for X-rays. Now I'm really sensitive to dentists because I go in expecting to pay an arm and a leg, but pricing was fair and during the consult I wasn't pressured to get this or that done. One of my biggest pet peeves is having someone hard sell me something. Service was good and everyone friendly. I recommend this place.

I have never had such an amazing visit with a dentist, right from when I walked in, the front desk gal was super nice and helpful. I've been putting off a visit for a long time, the gal that took me in a did all my Pictures and X-rays what so knowledgable, and helpful. Even when the dentist was discussing the issues with me, she was right there the entire time Explaining things as well. In two hours being there, I encountered four different staff members that were all so kind and helpful! I left smiling for the first time leaving a dentists! Excited to go back and get the rest of my cleaning done !! Thanks for all the amazing help!

We love West Grande Prairie Dental and all their staff. My 3 young girls have been going there for two years and it has been such a positive experience. They all love Dr. Schalk and think he’s a celebrity after seeing him at various community events and in ads at the movie theatre. He is amazing with children and I would highly recommend him to anyone with children nervous about going to the dentist. The office is extremely child friendly and the staff go out of their way to ensure the younger patients are comfortable.

I cracked my tooth on the morning of December 22, after phoning West Grande Prairie Dental, they squeezed me in to see a Dentist that afternoon.After confirming the fractured tooth they booked me in he next day to have the tooth removed! Saving my Christmas.....as I was in a lot of pain and couldn't really eat. The fact that I was able to get this done two days before Christmas blew me away! I have to say from the first phone call to the reception and onto the dr the entire visit was wonderful. All staff members are kind and inviting, the drs and hygienists were so informative. Dentist are great , but office staff charge your benefits more than what they quote and then send you a bill on top of it, had to pay out of pocket twice and was still handed a bill owing after my benefits were charged more than the original quote. Three months after when I go to get a receipt for taxes, surprise here is another bill

I’ve been going to WestGPDental for a few months now. It started back in February or so when I went in to get my teeth cleaned, and I also did a consultation for Invisalign. I met with Dr Schalk and he was amazing! I’m now 5 months into my Invisalign treatment and seriously, the difference it has made already is unbelievable! I now actually smile with my teeth! And every time I go in, the visit is great! They are always friendly, fast, and affordable! I had my teeth cleaned yesterday for my 6 month check up. And once again, the visit was amazing. It was quick, easy and painless! I unfortunately do not know the lady’s name that did my teeth cleaning, but she was really great! WESTGPDENTAL IS THE BEST!

We brought my son here, for an emergency appointment. Which we all know typically costs so much. Not only was I able to get a same day appointment, it didn't break the bank. Lower than we've ever had. They were also able to work around my work schedule and get my son in to get his tooth pulled, which also turned out to be much less than we were told it would be by another clinic in town. Having identified my self as a person that has a weakened immune system, i was at first glad to see that some of the seats had been identified Not to be sat in. This allowed some social distancing however after waiting 10 mins,a mother with 4 small children in tow arrived and were all over the place? Perhaps an area could be found that patients over 60 and /or immune compromised could wait until being called away from the general waiting area? Masks should also be offered until this pandemic is over. The cleaning I came in for was performed satisfactorily by the hygienist.

Receptionist charge 30% to my son I told her I have 2000 covered for dental in 1 year but still she charged me.They should tell first and explain to me if they gonna charge 30% even if I have that 2000 covered in sunlife .I was worried my son because the nitrous gas was blocking his nose because it moves and told them please make it him breath properly as his mouth full of suction and other thing.My son expecting a reward as what they told after the 3 filling but they never give I know its a small thing and I understand but for a 4 year old toddler don't promise if you don't give as its not good for him..I feel bad for my son.
