I saw Dr Pasternaks office for a cracked tooth issue. Called in the morning and was seen in the afternoon (same day). Quick and efficient, also noticed my apprehension and answered all my questions to put me at ease. Ended up with a root canal, which I was super nervous about, but Dr Pasternak did a fantastic job with no pain. 10/10 would recommend (and in fact I have a friend who needs to/will be going in to see Dr Pasternak). The lovely ladies at the front are superb. No billing issues and they even went as far as contacting my insurance for me. EDC has gained a new patient for life!

I was very disappointed with my visit. Firstly, my medications side effects have contributed to bone loss. He disagreed. He is a dentist, not an oncologist. I should have spoken up but I was taken by surprise that he spoke to me as if I was uneducated. Secondly, I had to ask for him to help shave down my broken tooth. He should have done is automatically. I paid into ones arrogance on this dentist visit. The receptionists are friendly for a reason and it is called compensation for the rest of the experience. I will now seek help elsewhere.

I have been going to this dental clinic for years. I am appalled at the service they are now providing. I had not been to the dentist since late 2016 as I had no coverage and finally received benefits and booked a cleaning right away. I had a 3:00PM appointment which I was prompt for but not taken into the room until 3:05PM. After a bit of chit chat, hanging my jacket and settling in the cleaning began. It was quick and painless (both I was surprised by due to the time lapse in my last visit). But did not question much as the hygienist didn't have much to report then scheduling a visit in the new year for a "full oral check up" Upon making a new appointment for the new year and discussing my new benefit plan I left to continue on my day. It wasn't until I got into my car and saw the time was only 3:48PM and thought it was the fastest visit ever. I later received an invoice a notification from my benefit provider that they received my claim for $231.00. Now I am not paying out of pocket and one would think not to complain but the price for the time I spent seemed outrageous. I called for an itemized invoice to see I was charged for 3 scaling units + half a scaling and a polish - all completed in 35 minutes! I am not here to say whether that amount was actually scaled or not but from my previous experience and others I have spoken to (and google) the average time for 1 unit of scaling is roughly 15 mins. Based on this timeline - my super star hygienist managed to scale a unit in under 10 minutes and do a polish.... Pretty pathetic SERVICES TO SAY THE LEAST!!! Very sad that this is what our dental system has come to! Id be ashamed to have my name associated to this! Not to mention how run down the place has become over the years! I guess that is what it takes now a days to keep a six figure plus salary in this industry!

Where do I begin !? What an AMAZING office !! I was referred to Dr. Pasternak’s office by a friend of mine when my permanent retainer broke off as I was flossing in the morning. I was in such a time crunch because I had somewhere to be but I needed this to be fixed. I called the office and the receptionist was so sweet and understanding. With all the restrictions that I had with my day she was able to fit me in the doctors schedule and accommodate me in every way. I was beyond greatful! When I arrived to the office I was greeted by the ladies at the front desk and almost immediately taken in to see the doctor. The office was so busy but you could completely tell they are a well oiled machine! Dr. Pasternak and his assistant were so gentle and in minutes fixed my issue. The quality of care that his office provides their patients is unreal and should seriously be an example for other dental offices! My new Dentist for life ! Thank you Dr. Pasternak and your staff for such a pleasant experience in your office !

I strongly recommend Etobicoke Dental Care. The positive experience starts with the friendly and professional staff at the front desk. I would recommend him and his dental assistants in heartbeat to anyone, he and they are very caring and are concerned about your dental health. Last week I had my last session at this office, which during the year was very involved with new crowns and changes to my bite. To say the very least, I was very impressed by the professionalism afforded me each and every time I was in the chair. From entering the dental office to the receptionist, the Dental Hygienist, to the Dental Coordinator, and finally to the Dentist, Dr. Pasternak himself, the whole process was always painless, efficient, and especially Dr. Pasternak's attention to detail and his patience, the experience was always incredible. I was never rushed out of the chair, was always taken in as per appointment schedule, and was treated as if I were the only patient. He always gave me his full attention. My teeth never looked so good and natural and they felt perfect after each appointment. During my many years, I have experienced many dentists. I can honestly say that Dr. Pasternak, this office and all his dental staff far surpass any other dental office experience that I have ever encountered. I would not hesitate to recommend this dental team to anyone that would ask me to suggest where they should go for their dental requirements. VERY DISAPPOINTING SERVICE FROM ETOBICOKE DETAL CARE. I had my appointment today (5th/Feb/2019) at 3pm for a dental cleaning session at Etobicoke Dental Care. The cleaning session with a Hygienist went well followed by an X-ray session with one of the dentists. After the session I went back to the customer service desk at the dental office. Two girls were behind the front desk. They said there is a balance that I owe to Etobicoke Dental Care. This was shocking to me as I know I have full dental coverage (100%) from my insurance. And I never had to worry about paying out of my pocket with my previous dentist. My previous dentist always made sure the communication is never broken and I knew beforehand if I have to pay before getting the treatment. They always checked with me and also with the insurance provider to make sure that there are no unexpected fees at the end of the visit to the dentist. It's all about caring/customer satisfaction and communication. But the experience I had at Etobicoke Dental Care today was completely different. This is disappointing customer service. So I asked her why didn't they check or at least ask me before doing the x-rays. The two girls at the front desk threw their boss under the bus without any hesitation and said "It's our Boss's decision. Boss recently changed the policy that we don't check with customers nor the insurance. We do the treatments and handover the bill. This is the new policy". And then one of the girls said, 'It's like when you get into a car accident. You call a mechanic to get your car fixed after the accident and you call your insurance to find out what's covered. Mechanic just fix the car. They don't care if it's covered by your insurance or not. And This situation is the same. We don't care if it's covered by your insurance or not'. I was WOW'D. I told her that This is not as same as a car accident. Then I realized there is no point in talking to these two girls who are absolutely terrible in customer service. When I said my previous dentist always made sure to inform me if I get charged before the treatment and always made sure customers are happy and no hidden charges, one of the girls said with a smirking face 'Well, that's a different dentist clinic. and We are different'. They were trying to act like I was there to get some free government benefit or something. This is not an emergency unit at a hospital where they get people with broken arms and people who were shot and bleeding. If that's the case, I understand the doctor has to do the treatment first then check for insurance later. This is just a private dental clinic. Customer satisfaction should be the number 1 priority. So I would like to say to Etobicoke Dental care, today your two employees at the front desk made it clear how important customers are to you. Like they said "We don't care". So you will not get my business or my family's there again. I experienced the worse customer service from here. Inexperienced front desk assistance without the right attitude can kill a business. I Will not return. I hope this review helps others around the neighborhood. Now I go to Westway dental. Staff is super nice. And they always on top of my insurance coverage. They know what's covered and what's not covered. No surprising fees. And I don't even have to worry about the insurance coverage. Front desk staff handle everything for me.

Very bad customer service. Counter lady is very rude. Nobody else gives responsible answer. We went for check up by appointment but they charged emergency checkup . When asked why you put emergency checkup, she hung up the phone. Called multiple times, she just picks up and hangs. They are just rude to another level..... i ll never recommend this clinic. Very terrible service....i ll never go back.

Dr. Pasternak's clinic is run by passionate and professional individuals from when you walk in the door to when you walk back out. Great administrative staff that has a high attention to detail. The Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants are thorough in their duties while working gently within the mouth. X-rays are normally an annoyance to complete but the team made it pleasant, comfortable and quick. Dr. Pasternak is a seasoned veteran and it clearly shows. He is comprehensive in his approach. Communicates what the dental journey will be and makes sure you understand what he is doing and why. Dr. Pasternak is committed to the dental and overall health of his patients, which is a feeling I have not gotten from any other Dentist. Lastly, Dr. Pasternak's adherence to COVID-19 protocols are something to make note of. At no point did I ever feel at risk during my visits last year to the clinic. So much so, that I've brought my mother (Categorized by Public Health as a COVID-19 vulnerable person) to see Dr. Pasternak multiple times. Some 30 years ago, the only dentist I have known in my adult life retired. He referred me to the EDC. I was quite nervous to have a new dentist. Well, after the first visit, the worry disappeared completely. They are all real professionals with modern equipment. Now, I can come in the clinic with full confidence that they complete everything to my satisfaction, including the cost and time. On the chair in the clinic, I am so comfortable, I sometimes doze off. They have to wake me up to keep the mouth open. I am not kidding .... If you are looking for a dentist, I recommend this dental clinic to try. I am sure you will be happy.

Every dentist I've ever been to checks your insurance ahead of time to make sure both you and they understand what is covered. Cost and coverage will help you decide what work you want/need done. All of these fake reviews is another red flag. Thanks Kasun T for the warning. I was a potential new customer, but I think I'll pass.
