My recent (and first) appointment at Uptown Dental Centre was a very positive experience! The team members that I was in communication with leading up to my appointment and once I got to the office were very welcoming, responsive, efficient, friendly and service focused. As a new customer to the office, I really appreciated Dr.Dhillon taking the time to chat with me to get to know me, and that him and one of the receptionist stayed after hours to ensure I was able to get all of the x-rays/scans I needed to done in my initial appointment. The customer service gesture was appreciated, and I will definitely be back for appointments in future!

My wife and myself, visited this clinic multiple time. All seemed good. work was done fast, never delayed. However, we've got multiple issues. Right now, we completely redo all work that were don for root canals, teeth restoration and etc. We are happy that we didn't do any crown yet with this clinic. Overall, I concern not about the quality, I more about health threat for long term with this quality of work.

Front office wasn’t wearing masks, and when we finally switched to another dentist due to our poor experience and our friends traumatic experience, our new dentist told my husband that he had tartar buildup over 7 years old!!! So what were they doing with our cleanings at uptown?? Who knows. Do not recommend. Go to Mayfair dental instead and thank me later

The make appointments when they are closed. Yes, "be there at 12:50". You, good patient, arrive at 12:50, but they are closed for lunch!!!!! They try to take as much as possible from your health insurance. They run all possible costs to the insurance to perfo on you as much as possible. To make more money...

I work in downtown and I've been coming to uptown Dental for few years. The dentist and staff are consistently great. Diana and company in the front always try to make sure my appointment runs on time. They make sure my insurance coverages are always correct so I get billed accurately. My dentist is always gentle. I make sure I come regularly every six months. The office is high tech. Everything is digital. My employees have been coming here now as well. Every one has nothing but great things to say. All around great.

Best dental clinic in Victoria. Very friendly staff, accepts Healthy Kids Plan without charging additional fees. My family had the best cleanings that we have ever had. Relaxed atmosphere...more like a spa and less like a dental office. Headsets for Netflix and Sunglasses for the bright view out the floor to roof glass. Beautiful office. Dentist is very good. Highly recommend this office. Feel free to give my name as a referral...and book Kim for your cleaning. Gentle, experienced and very kind. Appointment bookings within a few days for cleanings...great with kids as well.

Dr Dhillon is the worst dentist I’ve ever been to and completely unprofessional. He walked into my consultation drinking a take away coffee, didn’t bother to introduce himself and looked in my mouth for all of 10 seconds. I was complaining about being in severe pain and once he found one thing wrong he never thought to look at any of my other teeth to see if they may be contributing to my pain aswell. When I asked about my other teeth and if I had any cavities he replied saying he didn’t know and would need to take an x-ray. Despite the fact that he didn’t even look at my other teeth, I have never known any dentist to need to take an x-ray as the initial step to check for cavities. Once he discovered the cause of my pain he tried to end the consultation, sending me away knowing what I already knew with no solution. After I insisted on having the required x-ray taken he advised me that he would be referring me to a specialist as he was unable to remove my wisdom teeth. His exact response was “I could, but it would take too long”. Before I left I made it clear I would require a letter for my insurance company. On my way out the receptionist confirmed I would receive it within 2-3 working days. I had to phone 4 times over 2 weeks and repeat myself every single time before I received the letter. All the while in sever pain with a time sensitive insurance policy. At first I was told the manager had saved a draft and the receptionist agreed to email it through the same day and that my referral was taking a while because the specialist was busy. The second time I phoned I was told that receptionist was now on holidays and there was no record of my letter on file but that she would refer me to the specialist that day. Which clearly meant I had never been referred in the first place. I phoned again to find they were still waiting on the manager and then I received a voicemail from the manager saying she'd been away sick and asking what the letter was in regard to. There was clearly no communication and I was clearly lied to by the initial staff member. When discussing my experience with family friends another girl had a similar experience where Dr Dhillon allegedly ate a McDonalds meal during her consultation. She then met a women who had had her front tooth broken in half by the same dentist. Bottom line is Uptown Dental is unprofessional, unhelpful, incompetent and I do not recommend them.

This place is terrible!! You have dental work done, ask if you owe anything for that visit EVERY TIME and are told no its covered. Only to get billed 3 years later and threated with collections of OVER 1500$. This is continually happening to my son! Then my husband and i get cleaning reminders, when they have never met us, and we live 3 hours away! I would not recommend this dentist, they have no idea what they are doing with billing nor do they even know their clients. Money hungry is all they are ????

I had my wisdom teeth taken out and paid for an Ativan pill, as well as nitrous oxide for the procedure. Not only did I not get an Ativan pill, the nitrous did not work what so ever. I informed Dr. Dhillon multiple time that the gas was not working what so ever but this didn’t seem to bother him, and he continued to drill away at my teeth while I was fully coherent. Additionally, Dr. Dhillon said right before the procedure that someone had the same procedure yesterday, and didn’t feel the gas either...To top it all off, a women who was filling in for the receptionist didn’t know how to process insurance and had no idea what was going on when I arrived. Overall this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had a dentist, and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. As soon as I am able to speak, I will be returning to file a formal complaint.

Most amazing People and Very easy to talk to and understand ! Dr. Dhillon IS INCREDIBLE. He has helped me so much and was able to accommodate me for everything. He is the only dentist I know that will call you to check up on you. The office is amazingly clean and comfortable, you can enjoy Netflix while the Dr. works on you. I recommend this place to EVERYONE!

We are blessed with such an awesome dentist as Dr. Dave Dhillon, and his staff. We recently got our night guards there. The procedure he used to get the shape of our mouths, was amazingly unobtrusive! There was no pain and no discomfort. The night guards are clear and fit beautifully. We love wearing them. Thanks a million, Dr. Dhillon! Thanks a million Uptown Dental!

7 visits before they would replace the filling that fell out & I had to demand they do it that visit or it would have been more. they also botched some of the fillings they did put in. to them you are just $$$$ so stay away

From Shirley Connolly (Jeffrey Connolly’s wife). A few winters ago, I had an accident while walking on frozen blacktop, and planted my face on the pavement injuring my 2 front teeth. In 15 minutes, Dr. Dave Dhillon was working on my injuries with the gentleness, and care that calmed me down and made me realize that I was in good and capable hands. His patient and compassionate manner with me was unsurpassed. He used such precision that one cannot tell that my teeth have ever been injured. Now many years later, Dr. Dhillon is still our dentist; and we still get that same precision, treatment, and excellent care at the Uptown Dental Centre, with quality that is over and above that of any other dentist we have ever known in the past. We hold Dr. Dhillon and his Uptown Dental staff in high regard, because that dentist’s awesome example is carried through by his staff. There, we are fortunate to get that excellent treatment that we did not get from any other dentist or dental office. That is why we are so very grateful for Dr. Dave Dhillon, and the Uptown Dental Centre.

Would not recommend this place for wisdom tooth extraction. They could not get the nitrous oxide gas to work, did not sedate me or freeze my gums properly during the operation. It has been two weeks since I got my wisdom teeth removed and it still has not healed properly and is still causing me pain and I can not use the left side of my mouth to chew food. Dr. Dhillon did not seem to know what he was doing and did not provide any proper instruction before or after the operation. His method of prying at my mouth caused my lip to swell severally and even scabbed over. Chunks of my wisdom teeth would shoot into my mouth and on my tongue and I had to physically remove them with my own hand during the operation because his assistant was useless. My face and glasses were covered with blood spray marks and I was drenched from sweating so much. After he finished the stitches he got up and gave me the rock on symbol with his hand and walked away without saying anything. He then prescribed me pain killers that are only available in America and says he "uses the generic American name", which pharmacy's will not accept in CANADA....so, I had to go back to get another prescription from him. This visit to the dentist felt like torture and I highly recommend you do not waste your money at Uptown Dental Centre.

Got a root canal done about 2 years ago with a new crown...the whole process took 5 visits to their office to complete and now I need it redone due to an abscess that has developed. Will be getting it repaired elsewhere and paying again to get it repaired or removal of tooth.

O stars should be an allowable rating. Would NEVER recommend to anyone. Was a patient for 2 years and out of the blue Dr. Dhillon recommended 3 new fillings, a possible crown AND invisalign in one appointment. Never had any of these treatments been recommended before. Dr. Dhillion couldn't even answer when I asked him if they were the fillings that he himself had done, and weather he did a bad job of them or not which is why they all of a sudden needed replacing. Went for a second opinion at another dental office and was told only 1 filling was necessary, and wasn't even 1 of the 3 Dr. Dhillon said I needed done right away. My new dentist stated the dark halos on the fillings Dr. Dhillon said needed replacing is actually just the glue to hold the filling in place. The whole experience with Dr. Dhillon seemed like a scam to make more money off my dental plan while simultaneously damaging my teeth more unnecessarily. 10/10 will never go back and voiced all of these concerns to his receptionist.

My boyfriend's experience for wisdom teeth removal at Uptown Dental was so absolutely horrible, I feel like I have to warn anyone who may be considering them for this procedure. We were called by the dentist Dr Dhillon about one hour before the appointment and were told we needed to go pick up the prescription for Ativan beforehand because he just realized they were all out at the office. So we rushed to pick up the prescription and just barely made it on time for the appointment. The dentist didn't apologize or thank us, gave no information about what to expect for the surgery, was way too laid back about the entire thing, and then just gave me a printout to read about post surgery care when I asked. It was entirely unprofessional right off the bat. One Ativan was given, and then nitrous oxide which was clearly not working as the dentist didn't seem to know how it worked, but continued to drill into my boyfriend's teeth, causing him unbelievable pain as he was completely coherent. Dr Dhillon would just continue to freeze the spot with a needle instead of evaluate the situation. He was almost done the first side when he decided to notice he was convulsing in agony and asked "are you feeling that?" and then said he would "max him out" on the nitrous. I had to intervene for the dentist to try and do something different to make the nitrous work, so he went and found a smaller mask, and then it finally started to kick in. So the first half of the wisdom teeth removal was basically torture. Dr Dhillon does not seem to know what he's doing for this procedure. When we asked about booking a follow up appointment, he chuckled and said it was not necessary. Listen to all the 1 star reviews and DO NOT go here for wisdom teeth removal!

The front office is just a wreck, after waiting for them to finish their conversation about nothing, they booked me for a cleaning when I was supposed to have a cavity filled, and then tried to book me again for another cleaning... umm what about the cavity

Im been a client of Dr Dhillon (uptown dental) for some years now and I couldn’t be happier with their service , Dr Dhillon and staff goes above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, budget, benefits and in various occasions they have not charged me for services when they have seen it appropriate, they have earned my respect, business, and appreciation for what they do not only to me but my whole family including two teenagers and wife.

Dr.Dhillon went so far as to call me and check to make sure I was doing okay after each of my oral surgeries. I honestly would not have expected that but it sure made me feel relieved to know he cared enough to call and was just a phone call away if needed.
