I had the best experience getting a Dental Implant by Dr Bogdan Coca! Almost 2 months ago I had the surgery for the Titanium implant and everything went so well. Dr Bogdan is a very skilled surgeon the procedure was so smooth and he was so gentle it was like getting a tooth filled. I was in very little pain afterwards and by the next day was virtually pain free. From the Assistants to the front office, the staff at Pacifica Dental are so great. I am so glad I found them I would recommend them to everyone.

I recently had a fall and managed to chip my front tooth! The crack was quite large and was done right during the long weekend. I was searching for an office that would take me on such short notice and was recommended to Dr.Coca at Pacifica Dental. They were able to fit me in for the first day after the long weekend, which was amazing! The staff there were very supportive and the work done by Dr. Coca far exceeded my expectations. She was very caring and understood the importance of aesthetics when working on my front teeth. The end result was amazing. I would definitely recommend and I will be back for my future dental work!

On September 5th, 2017 "as a new patient", I came into the office for my new patient exam plus x-rays and cleaning. After sitting in the chair for approximately 3 hours we finally finished the exam. Dr. Coca came in and introduced herself, mentioned a few things with my teeth but didn't really explain the full results of the examination. I was not shown any of the 8 films of x-rays. The panoramic film had not been developed yet. I specifically asked for a detailed explanation of the findings of the exam and multiple options for solutions. I was told that Dr. Coca would be going through the films and I could expect to hear back from her. As I proceeded to the reception for payment. They had tried 3 times to put the payment through but only one transaction was completed. To my surprise the next day 2 full payments were taken out of my bank account. Standing in front of the receptionist she specifically told me that the patient coordinator would be contacting me with a detailed synopsis of my exam. "Do they even have a patient coordinator?". That receptionist could not tell me when that would take place as she has only worked there for a week. Starting to lose hope in getting any answers I left feeling anxious, unsatisfied and worried about the multiple dental issues that were going on in my mouth. Instead of informing me of when I would hear back from the patient coordinator, I was being pushed into booking a next appointment of surgery in my mouth 2 weeks later with no explanation of the surgery, costs, or timeline of multiple dental procedures that needed to happen. I felt insecure about the procedure without knowing how the surgery would effect my day to day living. Going back to the double payment out of my account, I quickly emailed them the following day that it had occurred. They stated that the merchant account corrected the double error and that they only took a single payment from my account. The merchant account representative advised that I got to my bank. When I went to my Bank, they laughed at me and said "No, the dentist needs to reimburse you for the double payment that is clearly on their end". Long story short going back and fourth over six hours or more of inconvenience from high turn over receptionist hired by Dr. Coca and my more than eager bank tellers trying to assist me. On September 8th, 2017, I personally went to the dentist after multiple emails and telephone voicemails that went un answered. As i'm starting to feel ignored, I was completely shocked by Mindy (receptionist) arguing with me in front of other patients in the reception room. Mindy was dealing with another patient while I was talking to Shawna, when Mindy unprofessionally ignored her patient standing in front of her to begin cross arguing with me as i'm standing in front of Shawna. Riding the elevator up to the office, funnily enough I struck a conversation with another patient of Dr. Coca who still hasn't heard back from her patient coordinator and has also had bad experience with that office. My partner and I are both new potential patients. This is not a good first impression and I'm leary and extremely sceptical of going forward with SURGERY!! I've heard through multiple people that there is a high turnover of staff as I can see now from the unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge, and poorly managed front end at Dr. Cocoa office. Im wondering if she even knows this is going on and if so, why doesn't management reflect the state of the art equipment and the beautiful new office? Obviously completely smoke and mirrors. I have emailed Dr. Coca explaining my experience and seeking some kind of recovery from this experience and explanation as to why I would want to use them as my dentist. I have not received any satisfactory offering. This has been a complete waste of time going through all of the new patient exam and the ordeal of still not having my money returned knowing now that I have to go through the whole procedure again to find a new dentist. Today September 9th, 2017, I still haven't been reimbursed.

Dr. Coca has been our family dentist for over 11 years. We've always been treated as important clients & as a result we have developed a warm relationship with her and her staff. Early on, my youngest, about 7 yrs old then, was feeling challenged by the dental work, so Dr. Coca allowed him to come in and 'help' with my cleaning to help him overcome his fear - he was cured & there were never any issues with him after that. In my mind, this absolutely made Dr. Coca's approach to dentistry & the needs of her clients as exceptional. In some past experiences as a patient, if the doctor seems great the reception is self-serving, or visa versa, but not here. They overbilled me and could never tell me why. Told me I needed a $1640 root canal. Got a second opinion and it turns out half the reccomend work wasnt required including the root canal. Very dishonest and unethical. Made owner aware of concerns and she has not replied. Nice office but not worth the 20% premium you pay at this office for being taken advantage by this Mother son team.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the treatment I received. The whole staff was professional and very courteous. Covid protocols are being followed closely at this clinic and everything is super clean and up to date. Dr. Bogdan Coca was super professional and friendly. At first everything seemed great. Nice dentist in a modern building. They did a cleaning and took some xrays. Then estimate, after estimate started being submitted to my insurance company. Work that wasn't even discussed was being submitted. I inquired what was going on and nobody had any answers. Mindy just kept telling me that she didn't know anything about it. I asked for the dentist to call and explain what work needed to be done. No call back. I then got suspicious and went for a second opinion at a different dentist. Only 1 small cavity was found. It is pretty obvious to me that this office tries to get work approved that isn't needed and keeps submitting unneeded estimates to insurance until the limit is reached. I should have read the previous reviews first because it looks like they do this often. Pretty sad way to operate.

I have been bouncing around from clinic to clinic trying to find a great dentist and that search finally ended the minute I first entered this clinic. Mindy and the other front desk staff are so welcoming and caring making one feel at ease. Nina, my dental hygienist was also wonderful. She even thought me tricks for how to best floss. She is very caring and is excellent at what she does. Due to numerous negative experiences with other dentists in the past, I was quite hesitant to try and trust a new one, but I’m so glad I did. They were incredible with their customer service. I am new to the area and because a front tooth crown came out they had me in the chair taking impressions the next day. The surgery was the following day and using all the latest equipment there was no yanking and pulling. They gave my my bridge to wear that day with a beautiful new tooth. Very little trauma to the tissue, no swelling, excessive bleeding or even pain, I took maybe one or two ibuprophen . They were very patient with my special concerns and supportive when it was needed. I can't say I have had such an extraction go so well before. they let me relax with a drink in their lovely space until I was really ready to go. Very friendly staff.

I was with Pacifica for over a year and they seemed to find more and more fillings every time I went for a check-up, making me max my dental coverage. I was suspicious, but when they submitted a request to my insurance without my permission I decided to go to another dental practice. Pacifica told me that I was in need of another 2 fillings before I left them - my new dentist told me I didn't need any. I'm a little upset that I probably had far more work done then was really needed. Nice dental studio with modern equipment and friendly receptionists, but I would be sure to get another opinion before going ahead with large treatments

The Garden Fix

I became a client of Pacifica Dental this year. I have a long history of previous dental work and at the time I came to Pacifica dental I needed some urgent and extensive Root Canal and restorative work. I was blown away with Dr Christina Coca’s work, I can’t stop feeling some of the teeth that she repaired fillings in. They feel like smooth perfect teeth I love it so much and it is definitely far above the quality of work that I have ever had. It was the first time that I have been sufficiently frozen for procedures, which makes a huge difference. The office is beautiful and all the staff are caring and wonderful.

Not only having the best and beautiful teeth (and smile!) is great, but ongoing cleaning and gum maintenance has become very important! Terrible experience. Firstly, the hygienist was unsanitary and kept on touching everything from electrical cords on the floor to the computer and then trying to put things in my mouth with her dirty hands. She was very unprofessional, nervously raging around the room. She only finished half of my cleaning (because she wasted so much time talking and fiddling with things), so told me I had to return for a second apt to finish the cleaning. Then the dentist comes in and checks my teeth, she tells me I need quite a bit of dental work, multiple cavities & crowns. I got a second opinion from another dentist and they couldn't find any cavities or required crowns. I would suggest avoiding this place! Don't trust the good reviews on here,.

Went in yesterday for a filling, great experience from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out the door. Asked how I was, small chit chat, offered a bottle of refrigerated water while I wait. I was early but the apologized for the wait I replied that it’s ok :) was taken back into my room happy vibes from the staff, dentist came in explained the goings on made sure I understood what was happening as things were progressing. Got pre numbing gel as I’m a complete baby when it come to dental work then got the actual numbing/freezing stick. Things went smoothly no complaints. Left happy with the work done. Highly recommend everything is clean and white the equipment looks new. Look forward to going to my next appointment.

I have been with Dr. Coca since I was little, and now bring my kids to her. She is amazing, kind helpful and patient! All the staff is amazing. I love the support and how the whole team makes you feel like a valued patient and like you are there only focus ! With Dr. B Coca is also so amazing and great with my whole family as well ! There is no where else I would ever go.

Worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. It felt like a used car lot where everyone was trying to distract you with a flashy office then sold you a lemon. Unacceptable hygiene practices then they told me I had 3 cavities. I wasn't willing to go back because I felt unsafe. I went to another dentist to complete the work. WHAT CAVITIES they said! I didn't need any work. I then read their reviews. It looked like a good placed till I quickly realized how many fake positive reviews are on there. There are many people with negative experiences with them and they just try to bury the bad legitimate reviews, with FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Do your research and don't get scammed like I did! What kind of dentist does this to try and get buisness??? A terrible one.
