I had my first dental appointment at Oxford Dental. From my first interaction with the receptionist, Fatima, I was put at ease. They worked with me and the fact that I have no dental insurance. They were reasonable with their pricing. The hygeinist Samantha was very nice and explained everything during the cleaning. My teeth feel great!

My experience after 4/5 visits to Oxford dental A. I had few large cavitie they Got them taken care of with no crown and root canal perfectly pain-free B. My previous dentist removed my bottom wisdom teeth and suggested me to see a specialist to remove the top ones .Truly truly it took Dr Yousif! few mins he had my wisdom teeth out :) C. I broke a large piece of my teeth I thought for sure I’m gonna need a crown/root canal I called they got me in same day he fix my teeth with out root canal or a crown save me a lot of time and money D. I had an emergency dr. Yousif Open the clinic on a Sunday got me all fixed up I can’t thank Dr. Yousif ! Enough I am forever grateful! I recommended Dr. Yousif to my friends and coworkers everyone had a great experience at the Oxford dental ! And everything cost A lot less from my previous dentist .

Went in for a tooth extraction and a follow up cleaning at a later date. The extraction was incredibly painful, which makes me believe that my mouth was not frozen properly. I tried not to let on that I was in pain, but it was obvious that I was being hurt pretty badly. They were not gentle or let me regain my bearings when I had asked to. The follow up cleaning was worse. I came out of the cleaning with more problems than I had going in. Went to a different dentist about a month after, and had proper treatment to the teeth they damaged. Initially I just thought that it was my own fault, until the dentist I went to after my cleaning had mentioned that some of the damage to my teeth was inconsistent with normal damage indicating to me that it had occurred during my visit for a cleaning at Oxford. Anecdotal, to be sure. But aside from anecdotal evidence, I found the practice to be very unprofessional, and rude. Will not be going back, or recommending it to anyone.

My observation of oxford dental Been his pt since 2013. 1. Quite often yells at his dental assistants when things go sideways with procedure or if he is stressses out. Had a grad student dentist there for a while and she left fairly quickly . nit sure why. I started booking my apt with her cuz she was better. Maybee others did too. Anyhow she left. She had awsome bedside manners. 2. Few times while doing my filling . used my chest as his personal table for his iphone while shopping for a new lamp for a new $1500. Lamp for his new kitchen i presume for his new house. 3. Had root canal and crown done. 4 months later tooth cracks and falls off with the crown. Stuck with root only Other tooth with root canal cracks also. lost both teeth. 4. Felt teeth cleaning was rushed at times.depending who did it. Dental assistants were all sweet 5. Office staff great paper work done rite and accurately. Great customer service and reminders. 6 office modern clean and tidy with modern waiting room 7. Parking ok but fills up fast after noon. So book am apts. 8. Changed dentist now felt some of the work was unnecessary. Pressured me to take my impacted tooth out. Went to dental surgeon specialist and my new dentist both said to leave it in as it required bone to be cut. He wanted to take it out. 9. Noticed a new. Bmw.hmm You make the call but not going back there again . choose my new dentist via google reviews .

I was thoroughly impressed as all the dentist and surgeons I have seen, Beautiful dental office on the north side of Edmonton.The staff is great, super friendly, caring helpful, and understanding. Dr Yousif is such a great individual who really cares about his patient. Dr. Yousif is really good at his job. Does great work on my son's teeth which was in really bad condition. I really like this place and recommend it to anyone looking for a dentist they can trust at a reasonable fee.

All of the good reviews here wreak of being fake. This man massacred my mouth. Only weeks after receiving a few fillings, each tooth he worked on started DYING one by one. Now for those of you who don't know, when a dentist is hurrying through his work and damages your tooth pulp due to excessive drilling, and then proceeds to fill your tooth incorrectly, bacteria will get in and destroy your tooth from the inside out which leaves you feeling like you have taken a harpoon to the face... I have spent so much unnecessary time and money fixing the work he had done in my mouth, never mind the sleepless nights and lost time at work. To top this all of, during my last visit this guy was swearing at his staff, told me I need to go to the gym more often, and his staff continued to harass me daily for weeks after my last visit trying to get me to re-book until I finally told them I would file a complaint for harassment if they didn't stop calling me. DO NOT GO HERE!!! There are so many other incredibly caring and talented professionals who would be delighted to have a new patient. This guy is a QUACK who needs to focus less on being a "G" and more on being a decent professional. Ask around to other dental professionals and see for yourself, this guys has a horrible reputation.

I've been coming here for a few years and I have very mixed feelings about this place. The staff are always so sweet and kind and the dentist is very kind towards me. However he is does have a rather short temper and it really shows to his staff. While getting my wisdom teeth pulled, he began reeming out his assistant for using a pair of his gloves because she ran out of her own. The hygienists were good at what they did but they recently brought in a new girl and I've gotta say I've never felt the need to down painkillers after getting a cleaning done. My gums have never bled so much before and I've never actually been in genuine pain after a basic check up. Lots of new staff lately. They're all very kind. Overall it's not the worst place I've been but I'm sure there's better.

This office is nothing but a scam. I strongly agree with previous commentators. Money hungry for sure!!! This office offers free promotional services only to invoice and bill later. This office knowingly and intentionally bills for more than the work done. Always review charges! When caught red handed and after great debate with impolite staff, apologizes and says "it was an administrative mistake" When questioned and invited, Chaaban refused to comment and confront the overcharges and instead offered to discount service to not get embarrassed in front of other clients for coverup on the fraud. They promise they wont charge you for items only later to find out you have an outstanding balance . Please all let’s report them. Complain to the dental association. Anyone who has been ripped off by this office please post experience. If anyone is interested in evidence and proof of this please contact and I will be glad to share. Very disappointing to have this practice in this peaceful lawful country. They think they are back home above the law and can rip off whoever they want.

Be warned: this is not a trust-worthy dentist. To be honest, I don't even believe one star is earned here. My experience made it clear that this business has one priority: profit. Whether it was the mistreatment of employees, questionable work or being overcharged (and sent a mysterious bill for another $100 five months later), all I can say is "be warned." If you still need to hear more, read on: To start with, my experiences in were generally unpleasant. The dentist would berate his staff within earshot, calling the hygienists "useless" and "a waste of time". I can understand that an employee may not always be ideal, but to treat them that way, and to do this around customers is very unprofessional. I don't want to be thinking that the person working in my mouth with sharp instruments is useless, and I doubt they really deserve to be treated that way. Regardless, if that wasn't enough, the dentist was in a constant rush, leading me to doubt the quality of his work. This was emphasized when he couldn't decide between 4 or 5 small cavities (Literally saying "four.... no, five.... well... four... um.... five. Yeah, five cavities." And he wasn't looking at any chart while doing this. Finally he decided on 5, and I made an appointment to get them filled. When I returned for the filling appointment, there was more of the same abuse from the dentist directed at the poor hygienists, and once the dentist got to me, he was in too much of a rush. Now, I'm not the type that needs to feel special. I actually prefer to have 'quiet time', but he was done filling all 4 cavities (yeah.... 4. Even though at the previous appointment he dubiously settled on 5) in about 20 minutes, and he didn't freeze half of my mouth in what seemed like an attempt to save time (and maybe $$$), but he still managed to find some time to berate his hygienists while he was working on my teeth. Anyhow, I was definitely happy to be done so quick, 'cause I could finally leave that toxic environment, but things weren't that simple. I got to the desk to pay, and the final bill came out to several hundred dollars higher than it should have been. We looked into it and found that their system was not taking off the required amount that my insurance covered. I showed them my documentation that clearly stated what was supposed to come off before paying, and it just wasn't happening in their computer. That is fine. Stuff like that happens. One of the receptionists looked at the documents and was in full agreement. However, the receptionist I was working with told me that I should just pay it (like I had over $300 with no better purpose than to fuel an abusive dentist's questionable practice). When I told her I would like her to figure out what is wrong before I simply pay all this money, she called me a pain in her neck because I wanted her to help me out. I suppose I was being difficult... I'm sure if I had asked her to arbitrarily flush $300 down the toilet, she would have had no problem with it. We settled on me paying about $50 more than I should have payed with my benefits, and that they would look into it and give me a call once they figured it out. I didn't hear anything back for several months until I received a bill in the mail for an even $100. I thought this was interesting as none of the numbers match what I was charged, and the particulars of the bill don't make any sense. It's as if they just wanted to see if they could get another $100 from me with no explanation, so they arbitrarily chose a few items that would add up to the amount they wanted. The last thing I would add is this: I hadn't been to a dentist in 8 years before I went to these guys. I know! That's on me. But the truth of the matter is I've always had good teeth and in that 8 years I never had any issues. However, since I've been to oxford dental, the teeth he worked on have been extremely sensitive to cold, and hurt when chewing. I think something was messed up. If you don't wanna take my word, look at the other reviews. Don't go here.

First off, you can definitely tell this dentist has been getting his family and friends to write 5 star reviews because NO ONE in their right mind would think of doing so based on his work and professionalism. Definitely will never come back. I brought my mom, so we can both ask for a receipt stating that I will not be charged for a tooth that they made a mistake on and didn't fill my cavity all the way. (I brought my mom because they wouldn't give me anything at first.) The dentist said we we're "insulting" him and his office all because we wanted something in writing, stating that they will not charge me. He is so rough and not kind or gentle whatsoever. A month later and my teeth still hurt. I eventually go get x-rays done again elsewhere, because of pain in my teeth. Turns out Dr. Chabaan did not seal the cavity correctly on, not one or two, but three teeth. Now I have to get fillings all re-done because my cavities are still growing underneath the fillings that he did not seal correctly. Worst dentist I have ever been to. Unprofessional and yells at his assistants as well. Sad how someone can be treated this way by what is supposed to be a dentist. Considering this, and all the other reviews here, this is one terrible sorry excuse for a dentist. Save yourself time and pain and go across the street to one of the other dentist offices.

I've had the torture of working with them and just want to give a heads up to those who want to apply. 1- Please pretend you do not have a cellphone. Although he provides lockers with a key, he expects your phone in his PERSONAL office? 2- Take a photo of your resume AFTER they write on it... they like to randomly add stuff like "Willing to work on holidays" after you agree to work for them. 3- Samira is his little spy, don't trust her or Amanda. They seem sweet but they aren't. 4- He writes the cheque himself... a man of all trades LOL. But he will deduct you hours for fun SO WATCH OUT. Anyway, maybe don't apply?

The staff were all very friendly but the dentist did not wear his mask properly. He wore the mask below his nose and mouth and breathed directly into my mouth and I could smell his breath. This is very concerning and unacceptable as covid case numbers are rising, now I have to be worried if I was exposed. I would expect that a professional would take PPE very seriously. I will not be going back.

I had a pretty bad experience here. I went for a crown, it took 45 minutes for the dentist to start. During the procedure he had issues placing something and he had no issue putting extreme pressure and force. He seemed very much rushed and unprofessional. Mid procedure he started swearing and saying that he was having a nervous breakdown. The assistant and I just sat there in shock. Quite disappointing place.

My appointment this week was the first time at Oxford. It turned out to be the most fun I have ever had in 65 years at a dental appointment. The atmosfere in the office was pleasant and very professional. The staff semed to enjoy working there. As for my time in the chair, the cleaning and freezing process was painless. The lady who did these procedures had an incredable soft touch. As for the doctor, he was very professional and complete. He is also a cool and dedicated dentist. He even gave up his day off to complete the work I needed to get my teeth to a very healthy condition. He has made a new client and I would recomend him to anyone. Five stars.

Probably one of my worse dental experiences. Very unprofessional while dealing with patient , was very rough when extracting wisdom teeth. I had a few questions and wanted to take break but dentist completely ignored me and contributed to take out teeth in such a rough manner. Once I was done I was left by myself with minimal instructions after post removal of wisdom teeth treatment. Overheard the Dr getting frustrated and talking about other co-workers. Anybody looking to get their teeth removed, I would recommend you go elsewhere. The doctor had no patience.

I worked here. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. You can ask my name ;) Things to keep in mind before applying to work at Oxford/Abbotsfield Dental + Becoming a patient ! 1) Your cell phone is expected to be in his LOCKED personal office, NOT your own personal locker. Make sure your phone has a pass code :) 2) When employed you are expected to create a google account and write fake 5 star reviews. 3) Staff are NOT allowed to go home until they have filled the schedule. This means staying until 8, 9 or 10 PM. So when their indeed post says "until 6" they really mean "When my schedule is full." 4) IF a patient fails to show, you are ABSOLUTELY at fault. He will call you into the office and swear at you. (Don't believe me? Apply and see for yourself) OR better yet, walk in as a new patient and see for yourself 5) If you have ADSC or government insurance they will bill your insurance 4 Units of Scaling EVERY TIME you go into the office. Don't believe me? If you have gone in recently double check with your social worker. 4 Units of scaling means you have been sitting in that chair having your teeth "scraped" for 1 whole hour. As a graduated hygienist It is physically impossible to have 4U of Scaling, Polish AND fluoride done in less than an hour. 6) If you work through your lunch he will deduct it from your pay cheque. Make sure you leave the office exactly at lunch time because the rest of the work you are going to do is not going to be paid for. If you like to be verbally abused please make sure you apply! There will be a new ad out on Indeed every week :)

This doctor is disgusting. The way he treats people is more than wrong. In my opinion the only reviews here that are legitimate are the ones complaining about him the rest are just his friends and family. He needs anger management.

Doctor is very attentionative when I explained where my Pain was as coming from from my tooth ache . He looked thoroughly through my mouth and found out it was a root canal and indeed not my cavity , assistants were polite and gave me a good cleaning afterwards . The prices can’t be beat either !!!

Honestly a slaughter house. Dentist is not gentle, and doesn't care if you're in pain. Staff is rude. I was getting my wisdom tooth removed and he was putting so much pressure it felt horrible. I had asked for codeine/T4 pills for my prescription, they said that they "don't do that". Wish I could have given them 0 starts. Go to SkyView dental instead, probably about 2min away and you'll receive professional, caring and experienced staff.

One of my worse dental experiences. I'll never take my kids back to this dental place again. It hasn't even been a year and my kids have had two X-ray done each. When I asked them why do they need to do another X-ray on my kids? They simply said because they are kids. The X-ray and cleaning was done within 30 minutes. What I saw annoyed me. They failed to sanitized the tools before performing the cleaning on my second child. It makes me wonder if they even santize the tools at all. This is not a friendly place for family. Another thing that I find annoying is that their staff don't wear a mask and they do not check their patients temperature. Appearently safety is not their first priority. I do not recommended this place.

Do not go here. Be careful when reading reviews here, as the dentist forces staff to make fake google accounts to write 5 star reviews. Do yourself a favor and read the 1 stars, as these are truthful and honest, unlike this dentist. Save yourself the tooth pain and dishonesty. Make sure to keep your identification hidden when writing in reviews too or you will be threatened with legal papers to say to take down your reviews.

Dr chabaan is a horrible excuse for a dentist. I went in to get a tooth pulled out and he said I also needed a few fillings. He then started drilling my teeth and poking holes into them , and then filling them. He pokes unnecessary holes in my teeth so that I could come back a couple weeks later to get them filled . He yells at his staff and they are visibly afraid of him.DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR

DON'T BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! I have been going to Oxford Dental for just over six months. I am a very nervous dental patient and I have zero issues booking my appointments with these folks and I feel completely at ease in the clinic. My first visit I had a lot of work that needed to be done, multiple fillings and multiple extractions. From the moment I called to make an appointment for that first visit to my most recent visit (which was today) they were professional, empathetic, knowledgeable, friendly, the list goes on and on and on. My whole family goes there now, including my special needs son who is an even more nervous dental patient than I am. Dr. Chaaban was able to talk my son down and give him the freezing for a simple extraction and he did it with no problems at all - that is a feat that no other dentist has been able to achieve with my son! **Special shout out to the most amazing dental hygienist I have ever met! I have had two visits to oxford dental. In my experience, Dr. Chaaban, was very detailed in his explanation of the dental treatment I needed. In reading some of the reviews here, I can tell you that Dr. Chaaban has expectations of his staff which is perfectly normal for any business owner. If you have been to his office than you would know that his staff has all been there for many years including the office manager Samira, his head assistant Mariam, as well as my girlfriend Nassira. If his staff felt as mistreated as these reviews seem to make it sound out they are, then the question would be, why have they worked for him for so many years? I look forward to having my treatment completed and continuing my yearly hygiene visits at Oxford.

Don't go here. Although the hygienists and admin staff are extremely kind and very good at what they do, the dentist is horribly unprofessional. He uses unnecessary force, and when the hygienist told him to not be so rough on me, he replied with "it's okay, she's frozen anyways." My jaw and tooth hurt for weeks afterward, and i'm pretty sure I didn't even need a filling. He is condescending and rude to both his staff and to his patients. Go literally anywhere else instead.
