I hate going to the dentist and usually put it off as much as I can and because it gives me such anxiety and although my experience has gotten significantly better since switching to this clinic, it still isn't my favourite thing to do. Until today! I just left got my annual check up and cleaning done and had the GREATEST experience, my nurse, Candy was the best! Her voice was super calming which made the experience lot easier to deal with and she was very thorough and explained things that no one ever has before (in my 30 years of going of the dentist!!!) She went above and beyond by even recommending a tool to help make flossing easier and I have already rebooked my next apt with her specifically! The staff here are great, the hours are super convenient as well as the location and i HIGHLY recommend this dental office!

This place has cured my fear of dentistry offices. The staff is well equipped to handle any problem with your teeth. I go here for my cleanings, I have had fillings and an extraction here as well as a bridge done. This place really takes their time when the problem is severe and make sure you get through with minimal pain or displeasure. I reccomend this dentist office to anyone who brings up a bad toothache problem. Dr. Chang is the bomb. Defs go with him

very Unprofessional staff, I don't believe I was calling a dentistry!!.. very rude!! I wanted them to see my mom for crown fall. myself had crown fall before and my dentist in Italy said this should be fixed in max of 2 days before neighboring teeth fill the space and become very tight. I told her the story hoping to have quick appointment.. she said: take your mom to your dentist!! I wish google introduce 0 star, because even 1 star is too much!!

After trying many different dentists and dental practices over the years, this is THE place that I've stuck with. Even though we moved out of the neighbourhood a few years ago, and I don't work downtown any longer, I'm still more than happy to head down to the Oliver neighbourhood whenever I need a cleaning or checkups (and in fact, the whole family goes to this dentist now!). I've never been a fan of going to the dentist (and probably never will be lol), but they really do make you feel comfortable and relaxed here. The entire staff - from front office, to hygienists, to dentists are all super friendly, always on time, do great work, and are constantly checking in with you to make sure you're comfortable etc. Special shout out to Courtney at the front desk - she is awesome, and always welcomes you with a warm smile. She also makes payment/insurance stuff SUPER easy - taking care of basically everything for us. I wouldn't even dream of going anywhere else. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Great office and honest dentistry. Have been coming here for years. No up selling or pressure to do unnecessary dentistry. Costs have always been reasonable. My cleanings are no more then $300 and if i have a check up and xrays with my cleaning appointments its about $450. Staff is knowledgable and always willing to check my insurance to make sure things are covered. Highly recommend this office.

Unprofessional staff. Said would check my insurance prior to appointment to see what's covered. I know it's 100% coverage. They confirmed it. Yet still charged me extra fees because "even though you are covered 100% our rates are higher than what's covered by your insurance". Well, why not let me know about it in advance ?

Oliver Family Dental clinic gave me the best dental experience ever! I called them for an emergency appointment because of a severe toothache, and they accommodated me on the same day I called. I get anxious whenever I'm at the dentist, but everyone from the receptionist, the assistants, and Dr. Chang made me comfortable and well taken care of. All my procedures were painless. Thanks to Dr. Chang and the assistant's professionalism. They will always check if I'm okay before they continue working! One of my worries was the fees, but Janet made sure that my insurance will cover mostly everything. Also, they follow Alberta dental fees, so you're guaranteed that you pay the right price. I have been raving and recommending the clinic to my family and friends! Thank you for taking care of me, Oliver Family Dental clinic! I'm trusting you my dental health! I have been seeing Dr. Chan for more than 20 years going back to his days at Bonnie Don Dental. He is highly skilled and also has always done excellent work for me. Most importantly regardless of whether you have insurance or not he never pushes a procedure, he simply explains what the issue is, what your options are and let’s you know if it is something critical or something that can wait. Over this many years I have found that I can trust his judgement and recommendations without question. Courtney who manages the front desk is friendly, seems to remember everyone and super great to deal with, his hygienist Janet is friendly, lovely to deal with, ridiculously smart and like Doctor Chan does not rely on creating fear, she. Simply gives recommendations and options. Within the last year Dr Chan got a new assistant, Nimi works incredibly well with him I have had the pleasure of having her assist him a few times while procedures were being done. Nimi is absolutely amazing in every way, she is warm, gentle, engaging, communicates beautifully and quite frankly puts you at ease like no other dental assistant I have ever had work on me. There are some people that you just know...there is something very special about them. Nimi is one of those rare people and I’m so pleased when she is there to lend her hand to Dr. Chan. Bottom line, this is a great clinic and if you want the best dental experience ever, ask for Dr. Chan and specially request that Nimi assist. You will leave a very happy customer.

Have been going here ever since I first moved to the city about 10 years ago. I lived at the college residence so it was a short walk for me then. Now married with a family of 3 kids we still drive downtown to see Dr. Chan who has always been friendly and knowledgeable. Also the ladies at reception are fabulous. I was by myself at a cleaning with a 2.5 year old and 6m old this past summer and they watched my girls so I could get my teeth cleaned. Pricing is fair and comparable to other offices. Most benefit providers will set a percentage they will cover and always have a max price so sometimes it doesn't quite work out to 80%, etc. This is standard and you will see this with prescriptions and other medical providers.

Visiting Dentists is not really my thing. I came to Family dental Oliver square to have my teeth cleaned. I stated to the Dentist that I had pain on the right side Molar tooth. I completed X-ray and exam. the Dentist reviwed the X-ray but she was not able to see exactly what the problem was. Anyways I received the cleaning service and and left with the suggestion to have my teeth filled. The mistake I made was to accept her suggestion of filling my healthy teeth. The female dentist, Dr.shu(?) Filled my teeth but after sher did these dental work i was now able to chew; my bite became very terrible. I went back and asked her she tried to correct but she could not even for the third time. The staff especially the hyginists are very polite but the Dr who treated me is, I would say that she knows what she is doing. She completely ruined my health teeth and finding different and more professional dentist to correct what she messed. As it is health issue and the most important part of our body I would not recommend one to visit this place. It is very upsetting!!!

Went in for some fillings and repair work, and just when I thought dentist was almost prepared, he was actually completed. Usually when I get a filling there’s clamps, and tubes, and my jaw is stretched to the max. But I found this dentist to be gentle and reassuring and checking your ok. I didn’t feel like there was way too much going on in your mouth. Definitely would recommend!!

I had not seen a dentist for past 5 years and my healthcare coverage was running out. So, I called this clinic to see if they can accommodate me and they got me an appointment within the next day. Reception staff is very nice and courteous. The dental hygienist I saw was quick and efficient with the cleaning. I also saw Dr. Ng who did the scaling of my teeth. She was very nice and tried to stir up a reasonable amount of conversation. My appointment started at the exact time it was supposed to start. And compared to my previous experience with dental clinics I didn't feel they were trying to push or convince me for any random procedures or products. I will likely come back and recommend this place for my family. The only thing is that the clinic decor was a bit dated but I don't care for that stuff too much.

I have been going to see Dr Eng and her staff at Oliver Family Dental for well over a decade. Although I originally started going to the clinic due to proximity because I only lived a few blocks away, I now live a considerable distance from the clinic but still make the commute to go to the clinic because of the exceptional service I have received there. The staff are always courteous and professional, the clinic itself is beautiful, and the work I've had done there by the dental staff is second to none. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone in need of finding a new dentist!
