Dr. Magathan is an outstanding dentist. Her office charges perhaps 10% higher than the Alberta standard, but as a patient you get 50% more quality of service. I am always in the chair within minutes of arrival. Dr. Magathan has amazing dental skills. Completely pain free and the results speak for themselves. Real attention to detail. Well worth the small extra cost for top notch dentistry. The front desk staff are really friendly and accommodating. I was a patient of Dr. Magathan for years, but when relocated for work for several years to the USA and then to Calgary, I have had three (recommended) dentists that don't come close to matching her skills.

I have been going to Magathan Dental Centre since Feb 14th 2014 and it has changed my life and my teeth. Wonderful people and they really have helped me with anxiety by just being so attentive. I had not been to a dentist for at least 20 + years and now I go for regular teeth cleanings and annual check ups and have had 2 1/2 dental implants inserted with absolutely no pain and that's pretty much how all my experiences have been. Thanks guys for taking good care of this old lady.

I didn't go to the dentist for nearly four years. When i went i got X-rays and dr.zangy(the other dentist that works in the office) told me i needed my wisdom teeth removed, 8 cavities fixed and a crown on my tooth. First thing i got was my wisdom teeth. I was super scared. They answered all my questions(I asked lots of questions) and made me feel as comfortable as possible. I was shaking(thats how scared i was). from the receptionist, to dental hygienists, to the dentists, all the staff was very understanding, caring, patient, gentle, and willing to answer to all my concerns. When they removed my teeth, I had no swelling after. I also was very comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I highly recommend this dental office. They were very gentle. I took my 5 year old daughter the first time to the dentist also. They made her feel very comfortable as well. The Hygienist let her feel all the tools she was going to use on her mouth, and i would say even my 5 year old daughter had a very wonderful experience. They defiantly know how to deal with kids and even my daughter isn't scared to go to the dentist.. I still have to go back to get my cavities fixed and cap, but I am actually looking forward to going, and not scared anymore. I completely trust all the staff who work at this office. I know when I am in there care they will take care of me and make me feel as comfortable as possible. i felt literally no pain in their care.

Dr. Magathan was very understanding about my issues with dental procedures, took her time and was very gentle. The quality of work from fillings to crowns far exceeded other dentists I had been to. Her support staff and hygienists were also very patient and gentle, trying to make you feel at ease. Her clinic is a bit pricier but the quality of care and service were top notch.

When you voice your concerns after getting work done, she gets offended and tries to defend the work she did instead of address the problem. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, so I got work done again. She did the same thing. I voiced my concern and she just says well it's supposed to be like that. I repeated my concern, hoping she would fix my teeth. I went in a total of 4 times afterwards (2 times after each procedure) and got nothing addressed. She doesn't listen and doesn't like spending time fixing work she has done. And the work is not very good. I am going to go elsewhere to fix the thousands of dollars of work she did. I'm very upset that making the choice to go to her might have screwed up my whole mouth. Her hygienist Renee is the only thing good about her dental office. She is knowledable, friendly, thorough and actually cares about your mouth. Too bad she isn't a dentist. If you are just getting your teeth cleaned, then I would recommend this office. But I would never recommend to anyone to get their teeth done by Dr. Magathan.

Terribly rude staff. Very inflexible. Do not listen to concern. I use to have good dentist - but had to move. She was near by - very rough in my mouth. Will not go back. Also - be warned that if you have insurance they do not process. You have to pay everything up front & put into your insurance yourself. Lots of better - cheaper places. Be warned!!

Dr. Magathan is great! Very knowledgable, kind But I felt like her receptonist was turning away my business, very rude... could never work with me and what I needed. Dr. Magathan was one of the best dentists I've met, but because of the dis respect from the reception I will probably take my business else where she was constantly cutting me off when I was talking, saying I would have to work with her schedule to even talk about booking my appointment. In total my procedures will be over $10,000 and they show that kind of disrespect? If you don't mind bad customer service... I would recomend coming here But I work in the service industry, and I couldn't stand it

I was referred to Dr. Magathan in 2001, I suffer from anxiety and require medication for dental procedures. This year 2019, I did not require medication in February for dental work performed. I witnessed Dr. Magathan work on my teeth for the second time with high skill levels, she was fast and masterful! I highly recommend Dr. Magathan, she more than excels in her care of patients and is proficient in her profession. Along with her dental assistant, Nadia, they both make a great team! Without hesitation, I was extremely thankful for both their skill levels and I have now told them twice - "Thankyou for your good work"! ,

Dr. Magathan has been my dentist for nearly 20 years, I continue to go back as she is an incredible dentist. She is gentle, kind, and will always listen to your concerns in order to determine the best treatment options. I know that when I am in her care I will be well taken care of. Never have I felt more confident in my dentists abilities. Dr. Magathan also takes the time to help make you feel at ease and seems to always be striving to make your appointment as comfortable as possible. My experiences with the staff from reception to hygienists have all been incredible. The receptionists make an effort to find the best time that fits our schedules. The dental assistants have always been incredibly nice and very calming and accommodating. The hygienists are top notch, I don't think it would be possible to find better hygienists. Highly recommend!

I had a traumatizing experience at a different dentist that resulted in a visit to Emergency. I ended up being unable to tolerate any dental procedures. My friend told me about Dr. Magathan and said that she offers sedation. I made an appointment and walked into an inviting waiting room with a huge beautiful fish tank. I was given a warm welcome from the front desk staff and before long met Dr. Magathan. We talked through my concerns and came up with a plan that I felt I could deal with. The procedure was done under sedation and I couldn't have been happier. I am now able get most of my treatment done normally and have the confidence in knowing that I have a back-up, should I need it.
