Dr. Lizotte consistently recommends the most appropriate course of treatment—even when doing so sends me back to my regular dentist (thus depriving his own practice of my business). He also stands behind his work, once replacing (at no charge) an implant that failed after a little over a year—very likely the result of simple bad luck, not shoddy treatment. And he personally follows up with his patients to confirm they’re doing well. He realizes he's in an expensive field, and he is committed to delivering value.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Nguyen and the procedure went smoothly and without pain. He was delayed by another appointment (not his fault, just the way it goes) so the pre-freeze was starting to wear off and had to be applied again. That is the only "complaint" I have about my visit. I've been seeing Dr. Nguyen for the past few years. He's the best dentist I've seen in my lifetime. He's extremely knowledgeable, careful, and caring. He saved one of my teeth from a root canal with a serious filing. There isn't much tooth left, but he managed to make it work and the tooth has been problem free for a couple of years now. I just asked him about veneers and while most dentists would jump at the chance to make some cosmetic dentistry money, he gave me all the details about the risks, how long they would last, and why they might not be a good option for my teeth. He truly cares about helping his patients with the best dental care that's right for them. The dental hygienists here are also excellent. I just saw Helen and she was so gentle that I almost fell asleep. Stark contrast to some hygienists I have seen in the past that we're the opposite of gentle. I went through a few different dental offices in Edmonton before I found Jasper Ave dental, and I'm glad I can stop searching now. I'm sure that Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist in Edmonton.

I had an emergency situation and no current dentist in Edmonton. I searched google for a dentist that was experienced in what I needed, and someone that could take me in fairly quickly. I also work in an industry that is very difficult to manipulate my schedule, so hours of operation also were key. Jasper Avenue Dental is open to patience at 7-7:30am.. amazing! They have their own lab upstairs so turn around time on getting certain work done is very quick.. amazing! They have 581 reviews and a 4.9 star rating! .. amazing! They are approximately 5 minutes from my home.. amazing! I went in yesterday, and met several of the very friendly staff members. As I sat and filled out my paperwork, I listened to the different conversations happening between clients and staff.. staff with staff.. and everyone was very cheerful.. what a terrific thing to experience at 7:30am lol.. I was quoted some prices, paid my deposit, came back later in the afternoon to find that they had done a spectacular job on fixing my extremely broken item.. my fees ended up being a lot less then first quoted and because the lab did such a great job.. Dr. Nguyen said it was his opinion that I didn’t need a replacement!! Wow! With those words he saved me over $2,000.00!! He very well could have still encouraged the replacement to make some $ for himself.. I’m so impressed with him and his staff!! Thank you to the entire crew!! I have already been spreading the word.. I will highly recommend you to everyone! ????

I just want to open by saying that visiting the dentist is by far the lowest thing I would ever want to do on my list of things that warrant anything important. My experience with Jasper Ave Dental went by far, as smoothly as anyone that has to deal with dental issues could have gone through. My Dentist was Dr. Lizotte, and from the start of booking my appointment to after extraction the whole experience was handled in a thoughtful and patient way. Donna was the one who booked my appointment, she was patient, and attentive to my concerns and issues that I had to do with billing and my benefit coverage. She answered all my questions and never made me feel like anything I asked was not important. Upon arriving for my appointment the Office is clean and sanitized, I felt very comfortable in the atmosphere although we are dealing with a pandemic. Dr. Lizotte's assistant ( sorry I forgot her name ) was very kind, and patient with me knowing full well how uneasy I felt prior to extraction. She answered all my questions and was very attentive and caring. Dr. Lizotte himself, as a dentist made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns. I appreciated how he would explain the feelings and sensations I would be going through, as he went through the procedure. Dr. Lizotte did not rush through the procedure, yet I could tell that his years of experience showed in how efficient he was in handling my extractions. Most importantly,his main concern was my comfort and not feeling any sort of pain at all. I even received a phone call that evening from the Dr. to check on my healing progress, that gesture in itself touched my heart. Overall, my experience at this dental office was top tier and I would only consider dealing with Jasper Ave Dental in the future if I have any extractions of implants to deal with in the future. Fantastic staff that care, assistance that know the answers and will explain things in a way that treat you with dignity. Skilled Dr's and reception that is kind and caring, that will work with you as a valuable client. Should the topic come up with my close friends and family, I will be sharing my experience and encourage them to turn to Jasper Ave Dental for there dental needs. Thank you Dr. Lizotte and all staff Sept 16, 2021 Sadly I ran into some healing complications and ended up calling Jasper Ave Dental regarding some pain I was contending with. ( I ended up with dry socket ). When I called, Dr. Lizotte was not available that day to see me. Instead, I was treated by Dr. Carlson that same day. Reception was quick in getting me in to see the Dr that day, even though I did not have an appointment booked. My case was treated as urgent and the staff treated my just as kindly and a fairly as Dr. Lizotte's staff 6 days prior. Dr. Carlson was amazing, He froze my mouth from having to deal with the pain I was suffering through. While we waited for the freezing to take effect, he showed interest in me. Asking me questions about my occupation and my residence in Edmonton. He was sincerer in our conversation and displayed the same care and comfort level that Dr. Lizotte showed. Dr. Carlson gave me his card and told me to call if I have any other issues and concerns, his personal cell number is on said card. I left the dentist office not only feeling 100% better because my dry socket was taken care of. But also mostly because Dr. Carlson acted professionally and was genuine. I couldn't stop saying thank you for his time and care. Thank you again Dr. Carlson. Incidentally I didn't want to leave out mentioning parking, although it is downtown, the dental office does cover the cost of parking which is a massive benefit. And as far as the covid protocols, I mentioned before there is screening and questionnaires that are filled out by each and every patient prior. Clean, neat and 100% organized, a fantastic experience, under the circumstance of having to deal with dental issues, that is. See you again real soon, Jasper Ave Dental

Four days after having a molar surgically removed I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the procedure went and how well it's healing. After Dr. Lizzote ensured that the freezing was effective, it took only 10 minutes to fracture the tooth into the individual roots and remove them. Some discomfort , but no pain. I followed the aftercare instructions and today the local swelling is almost gone, no pain or jaw discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Lizzote and Jasper Dental.

The removal of my offending molar was so quick! All in all a far less invasive procedure than I thought it would be. Samantha was the dental assistant and she was also very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Lizotte even called me that evening at home to check in and see how I was doing. He reminded me that, in an emergency, I could call 24/7 and receive a response from a dentist on call. That's great service! It is now two days after the extraction and I have had virtually no swelling or pain. Received a referral from my dentist to come here for a tooth extraction. I had to change appointment times due to work conflicts, and both times I called in their receptionists thought I was another patient without even confirming my identity or information. My dental assistant was awesome and explained everything including aftercare in great detail. Paid upfront for my appointment and they informed me that they will submit the claim to my insurance company on my behalf. Turns out the cheque was mailed to an old address that I lived at 7 years ago when I had my first extraction at this dental office. Would’ve never found this out if I didn’t call the insurance company to find out the status of my claim. I rated this dental office 3 stars because the admin staff should be triple checking patient information, making sure everything is accurate and current especially if patients fill out forms indicating their UPDATED information.

When Dr. Beauchamp retired I thought I'd have to trade down, but he left the business in good hands. The rest of the staff are great too. Very well run team including administration. Checking in was quick and efficient with Leanne. Gia the dental assistant was very thorough in explaining the procedure for the tooth extraction and after care. Dr. Lizotte was excellent at pulling the roots and very quick. After the freezing, there was pain but nothing that Tylenol couldn't handle. There was very little bleeding. I would recommend this clinic

Ashley from the clerical staff was there before I was able to pick myself up. She provided me with a chair to sit on while I recovered and stayed with me until I was ready to go. She even volunteered to phone me to see if I got home safely. so I phoned her as soon as I got home. She even phoned me the next morning to see if I was alright. The team at Jasper Ave definitely takes care of their patients! One of my bottom wisdom teeth (that I should have had removed many years ago) impacted through my gums and was bothering me quite a bit, so I figured it was time to get both my bottom ones out. My regular dentist does not take out bottom wisdom teeth so I gave these guys a call after googling around and reading some reviews. Nicole, the receptionist, was absolutely amazing and was able to get me booked in for my extractions the next morning due to a cancelation. Dr Nguyen performed my extractions, and he and his assistant were both extremely gentle and caring during the whole procedure, especially knowing I was quite anxious to have the procedure done and I was only using local anesthetic. My teeth were definitely two tougher ones due to my age (they had been in there a while) and their location - and I am thankful for the care Dr Nguyen took with me even though I was one of his tougher patients :). The whole thing was as minimal pain as it could be, and Dr Nguyen even called me the evening of my procedure to check how I was feeling. If there’s ever a reason I need to switch dentists full time, this is my number one choice for sure. Thank you again to everyone at this office for being so kind!

I was given the worst case scenario that could happen and was pleased when it was not the case. The surgery was not nearly as bad or painful as I expected. I never even needed a painkiller. Great experience with great people. I had a problematic upper molar that for some reason my gums decided to resorb the tooth. Bottom line was that the endodontist I was referred to with the hope of a root canal to preserve the structure said the tooth couldn't be saved and because of the resorbing the roots would probably come out in pieces. So he recommended an oral surgeon. That is how I ended up on very short notice in front of Dr. Joe Lizotte and his great team. He came highly recommended and now I know why: he's an awesome dentist and very personable. He performed the extraction in short order and I go back in 3 months after the bone is totally healed to see if I am a candidate for an implant. And the bonus is the cost was quite reasonable. Five star rating for five star performance!
