Just a money making machine. I went here after my old dentist had moved. In my initial appointment I was told I had a cavity. When the dentist filled it she said I may need a root canal. I’ve never had a root canal or such a large filling so I was very surprised by this. After the filling it felt like the filling moved when I shook my head but I was reassured it was done properly. In my next visit I was told I have 10-12 cavities. When I asked to see them on the X-ray I was told it’s not visible on it and that the dentists are professionals and I should trust their opinion. I decided to switch dentists and have finally found one that is not trying to scam people. He told me I have NO cavities and the one filling they had done wasn’t properly filled and could lead to an infection later. He has put that tooth on a watch list. I seriously question if I even needed that filling as I clearly didn’t need the 10-12 extra ones these medical professionals recommended. In my initial visit I was impressed by how the facility looked and ended up recommending my family. They have all now left as they were being recommended unnecessary fillings and procedures. My sister was told she has 16 cavities when she has never had a filling in her life. My mom says the dentist who owns the facility is the only one who knew what he was doing but he usually sits at a different location. Don’t let the decor and technology fool you. It doesn’t matter what tools someone has as they are useless when the so called professionals who are using them are too incompetent or greedy to give a proper diagnosis. The only reason they may be rated number one is because they keep emailing their clients to vote for them, that’s not something I’ve seen other facilities bother to do. If you must go here get checked by the owner otherwise you’re better off not going at all.

Amazing dentist. I was having a dental emergency, severe tooth pain 8/10 on a tooth that has had two prior root canals , and had an abscess 6 years ago. I called and left VM at 730 am, they called me when they opened and had me in at 930. Jagmeet the dental assistant assured me that my anxiety was normal and that they have a lot of different ways to help the patients ,after telling her that I have severe anxiety with going to dentist, as I don’t freeze , and have had very traumatic experiences with root canals and extractions . She assured me that I am 100 percent normal in how I feel, and that if I ever need more done , they can make me comfortable . Dr Bain came in and reiterated what Jag had told me, and assured me that they would do everything to make my dental care pain free . De Bain referred me to an endodontist for my tooth and prescribed antibiotics and something for my pain. This is the first practice that has made me feel like I wasn’t a wimp for my anxiety, and showed real empathy . I will be going to them for all my dental care. Coming from me says a lot because I haven’t been to a dentist in 6 years. Booked in for sept 1.

nice building with new equipment. good cleaning and polishing services. but............ BEWARE one of the actual Dr/ Dentists was setting me up for fillings i didn't need! plus they mis identified some teeth. i was pretty hesitant so i went back to my old dentist for another opinion. and was told no work was needed! came very close to having my mouth drilled for NO reason. also on a previous occasion a cosmetic procedure was pushed at me. they can clean teeth, but i dont know if i would trust them for anything else.

About three weeks ago I had an appointment for treatment on a broken tooth. Angel Care sent me a questionnaire form related to COVID-19 screening prior to my appointment and was asked to complete it and send it back. As I could not truthfully answer questions 8 and 9, I was refused entry by one of the office clerks. I was hoping that by now I would have been contacted by one of the doctors to see if a compromise could be reached but alas no such contact has been made by them. [Edit] Because it has been months since my attempt to get the work done, I think that it is appropriate for me to post my negative review now. Angel Care has provided me with satisfactory service in the past so this problem comes as a disappointment to me. I dislike shopping for a new dentist but fortunately they are plentiful. I have found one very close to home where the screening questions are worded so that they are easy to understand and can be answered truthfully. Everyone should be careful how you answer these questionnaire because they are legally binding documents that can hold you liable if you misrepresent yourself. Just sayin...

But they lied when it came to payment at the desk, first they called me because they had a cancellation and said we are offering 20% discount if you fill in today, even though I had my appointment booked on another day for my tooth extraction. I was available so I took the appointment since I was 80% covered and the rest 20% would be the offer. Now when I told the lady at the desk that I got a call from you guys saying that today there is a deal, that lady totally lied saying that we don't have such offers like that. That is totally unacceptable.

Charged for a missed appointment because my kid was sick and puking. Their solution was to bring my kid and they could watch him. Great idea, bringing a puking 3 year old just so you don't miss the appointment. Never going back or recommending any one to go here. I've missed probably 3 visit in the past 5 or so years. It would be understandable if I missed them often which I don't. Also every time I do go they always try and make me pay when I have full coverage. It's like their staff tries to squeeze out every penny they can. And 100 dollar charge for missed appointment is ridiculous! Don't go here!

I called in regards to a dental emergency for myself, my social worker assured me I would be fully covered. The receptionist explained that coverage doesn't cover MODERN dental costs, so because my coverage is outdated I could not come in for service. I was directed to a low income dentist, the number she provided me didn't go through. I called another dentist, explained the run-around I've had. Receptionist explained to me the biggest scams dentists pull is what exactly had been done to me. And the difference that could have easily been written off is actually POCKETED. I called Newton Village Dental and they will be writing off the difference, understanding the BC Disability caucus is unfairly outdated. If you are low-income, or on diasbility, I do not advise coming here to be scammed. There are much more compassionate businesses out there. Hoping to see improvements in the care services in this province.

The entire staff is fantastic, and because of that I have finally found a dental office that I have kept regular appointments with for the past 4 years! I, like many, have a phobia of dentists (even for cleanings). Angel Care really goes all the way to make your experience as pleasant as possible. The schedule generally runs on time, when it's over you understand what was done and why, if more needs to be done and why, and even if you would prefer to be doing something else you walk away knowing it was time well spent. In case it's not clear, I highly recommend Angel Care Dental.

Over the past few weeks I have been treated by the wonderful staff at Angel Care as they repaired a cracked tooth. Not having had a root canal before, I can honestly say it was painless. There was very little discomfort even after the freezing wore off. The following two appointments included preparation for a crown, fitting a temporary crown, followed by receiving the permanent crown. What I really appreciate is how punctual the staff is in keeping their appointment schedule! I am always seated at my appointment time and out of the chair in the time they alot for if not sooner! Comfort during treatment and punctuality...gotta love it!

I switched here a few years ago from Dr Ku in Surrey Central area, after 20 years of visiting that dentist. Angel Care Dental is a much more up to date office with new technology & highly trained, professional staff. They always address all the concerns & watch areas up front, so you're never shocked or alarmed by anything. I've received many services there (cleaning, routine checkups, cavities, root canal & crown etc) and have never experienced any issues.

I go every three months for a cleaning my last appointment was the best the lady I got was so nice and kind that the next appointment in September I requested her again. The last dental place I had they were rude but omg you walk into angel care and there so warm and welcoming they treat my kids great now that's what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Which is hard to come by now a days thanks ANGEL CARE.

Shady and/or incompetent: I went to Angel Care Dental in December while under a very comprehensive dental insurance. About 4 months later, I got emailed with a bill for $195 with zero context. On further inquiry, I was told that I had "used up limits for cleaning and exam" and so my insurance failed to pay $163. Imagine my surprise when I log in through my insurance provider's website and discover they never filed timely claims to begin with. They quickly retracted $149 on being probed and offered to "absorb" $14 worth of fluoride treatment, as a courtesy. Nice gesture, right? They never filed a timely claim for that treatment either, in the first place. Now, I understand that people make mistakes. What really challenges trust though is a lack of professionalism (poor use of language over emails) and lack of ownership of problems (misleading explanations; no apology). Trust is essential between a customer and a business, more so when the business involves their health. If something this small requires so much back-and-forth scrutiny, it does not impart confidence about more serious decisions. They haven't even had the decency to respond to my email complaint, which I requested to be sent to the owner. To summarize, I don't recommend Angel Care Dental. It appears they only care about making as much money as possible from customers, instead of treating them as people. EDIT: Fluoride treatment is indeed fully covered by my dental insurance, for which I have proof.

I don't normally leave reviews but seeing how highly this office is rated I needed to share my experience here in the hopes that others may take note. My last visit to Angel Care was a number of years ago and they now have a new office, but given the proprietors are the same I felt this still had some merit. I was a new patient to Angel Care and after an initial cleaning was told that I had a cavity in one tooth and another tooth that was chipped would likely need a root canal. Subsequent visit was for the cavity. While in the middle of this procedure Dr. Soyara explained that she had "drilled too far" and that she had hit a "blood vessel" and that the cavity would now need to be a root canal. That was rather shocking to learn while on the chair with a half frozen mouth, but I figured they are the experts. She performed the root canal, and to her credit covered the costs of the procedure 100%. A few days later I was called and told that the root canal was not performed properly and would need to be redone. That visit was performed by Dr. Soyara's husband, whom I guess is more skilled at root canals. Procedure was done and I did not go back for the crown, as I didn't trust this dentist any further. Fast forward to this year. After visiting a new dentist and having a simple filling to repair the chipped tooth that was "going to need a root canal" I'm in the process of getting the crown made. I'm left with the distinct impression that the root canal (and all the pain and money spent) I had done by Dr. Soyara was completely unnecessary. Looking up this issue online suggests that this is a common cause of malpractice lawsuits. It's clear that her initial recommendation of a root canal on my other chipped tooth was overzealous. At any rate, I have a much better dentist now. I would encourage all potential clients of this practice to approach with caution.

I don't know everyone's names to mention them personally but everyone deserves kudos for their positive and friendly demeanor. She cares about her patients and wants them to look and feel confident when they leave her chair. I just completed my Invisalign treatment and could not be happier with the results. I must first say, before my last appointment, I would have certainly given 5 stars. I have been going there for four/ five years roughly. Staff where always nice very kind. Loved my regular hygienist, fantastic woman. The owner, Dr, Soraya was always nice but it is clear she has extreme worries and anxiety about being sued by anyone and these worries clearly carry over into her work. There is technically nothing wrong with this, but it has come off very intensely in her work environment. I feel it effects her business and clientele. So, my last appointment, was just for a regular, cleaning. This time was not my regular, she has been on leave for some time. The hygienist mentioned an X-Ray, I mentioned I had X-ray unfortunately the week prior, and X-ray and a live X-Ray and really wanted to wait again. Yes, I am very aware its been 4 years prior since I had my last dental X-Ray, but in the last fours 4 years had a large amount X-Rays done about 20 in the last couple years, due to separate medical conditions and issues. And personally wanted to wait on X-Rays where I could and the dentist was one of them. And a yearly dental X-ray is recommended not mandatory. So, the hygienist mentioned she was going to get a X-ray refusal form. Well, I read it and knew I was never going to sign it. And made this clear. So, the hygienist got her manager, whom is the owner. We talked for a couple minutes, she made it clear if I couldn't sign the refusal form, it would be best if I go to a dentist elsewhere. But, offered me service still for this appointment. She, stated this form is mandatory with College of Dentistry, and went on to talk about her insurance and being sued so she needs these forms signed and mentioned google review etc.. Well, this was easily confirmed and no it is not mandatory under College of Dentistry. It is only, if individual business choose to have this policy etc. She never once stated her business was now implementing this policy, and if she had I would have fully respected that, but still would never sign a refusal form of any sort. Instead, she stated more than once it mandatory with College of Dentist. Telling, clients forms of any sort are mandatory, is very wrong ethically and morally. This, does not fail under the legal act of "Proper informed Consent". If a patient/clients does not understand the outcome of these refusal forms or any other form or full conditions are not explained, the form can be disputed/ or considered void in a court of law. Forcing "Mandatory" with no choice explained to a patient, strips an individual of their rights. And, Yes I have read other post and of course my name is not "steam mate ", it is my son's account since I don't have a google account.

They tried to scam me. I told them at the time of booking an appointment that I just want a checkup to know the status of my dental health, and will later decide the treatment. When I showed up they tried to push me for treatments without even a checkup. When I tried telling them that all i want is a checkup and not a treatment yet they became aggressive and said that I will have to wait and my appointment time will be pushed 3 hours later in the day. The dentist, and the receptionists all are there to just scam people for money and have absolutely no compassion or manners. This experience soured my opinions of dentists so much that i did not go to a dentists for months despite having sensitive tooth and pain. Then finally I found a dentist who treated me like a human and not some object to squeeze money out of.

About a month later while visiting Mexico my wife was having alot of pain and we went to see a local dentist. He said that the cavities we done incorrectly and with cheap materials which had broken apart. He redid it for her and suggested she get her money back from the dentist in Canada. I live very close so the location is convienient for me, but those that do not live close- there is the Strawberry Hill bus loop right across the street. I highly recommend this clinic. I have never been through such a thorough dental exam while having my teeth cleaned. Their staff are top notch as is the equipment they use. They take their time to explain the X-rays and findings, no pressure to replace what is still working. Dr Bains and her staff are amazing, I only wish I had switched over to their clinic sooner!

I came in for extraction of a painful tooth without an appointment and I was seen by the dentist the same day and prescribed antibiotics. I was then scheduled the day after, the friendly staff made it happen. You get a real feeling of professionalism right when you walk through he doors and I just knew I was in good hands.

Very impressed with their health scanner. I came in with an unbalanced bite. The hygienist showed me a 3d view of my teeth on their machine and areas were my bite was off. Dr. Galo adjusted a few of my teeth and I am no longer in discomfort.

Dr. Soraya is one of the nicest and best dentists I have ever worked with!!! After moving to BS recently, I was looking for a new dentist. This is how I stumbled upon Angel Care. The incredibly friendly staff, beautiful service, and great service made the experience phenomenal. Lastly, there were also incredible Covid precautions taken in the office. Maybe don't try and poor shame clients who have never had an issue paying for your services. Ifinance is a dodgey company and promoting it "all your customers" for no reason seems like a mistake. They obviously get a fee for sending people and probably more money if the loan is successful. When I told the hygienist tech I won't be coming back and not to bother scanning my teeth just do the cleaning she gave me a very unconvincing speech about Ifinance and how they didn't mean to imply I couldn't afford my dental. She didn't even seemed convinced almost seemed uncomfortable with it. She then SCANNED my teeth anyway. When a patient says no then it should be respected. Avoid at all costs!

Dr bains throughly explained the options about therapeutic Botox. This was something I never knew could be a benefit for my clenching and grinding. No dentist ever offered me this option. I thought I had to endure wearing a night guard. It’s great to see how this office is growing with the new technology advancements. The itero was one way she visually showed me which areas of my teeth I was heavily wearing away.

Good technical skill, best university graduate, many certificates, professors level, lovely office, good looking, well spoken….etc In the last month, I visited around 10 clinics in Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Ladner, trying to resolve a dental issue. Dr. Galo was instrumental in resolving it for me. Dr. Alex Galo is a doctor with what truly matters - “a Doctor's heart”. You can tell that Dr. Galo really cares about his patients. I went there for the first time and the customer service was great. My insurance was inactive, so the docter gave me the temporary treatment for very low price until my insurance starts again. The Doctor felt my pain and helped me to get relief accordingly. Be aware! They try to scam you and bill your insurance company for the work you didn’t ask. My husband had a filling on April 9th, afterwards he always had food stuck in his tooth. He booked another appointment to have it fixed. The next day, he was billed again. I called and asked why he was billed twice for the same tooth filling. He was only there to have it fixed. They told me that they had to put fillings on the tooth next to the first one in order to fix the problem. The whole time, my husband didn’t even know that they put fillings on a new tooth. He thought he was only there to have the first filling redone. Shouldn’t the dentist at least inform the patient first if he is going to do something new in your mouth and charge you? This is very unprofessional and unethical!

I always have a great experience at angel care. I use to have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist but the staff is so accommodating and kind. They always walk me through what they are doing. I got my teeth whitened a couple months ago - the zoom whitening treatment - I love the results. Having slightly sensitive teeth I was nervous that they would be more sensitive after having the treatment, but that wasn't the case!
