My hygienists are Lily and Hanna and they are gentle with my sensitive teeth but thorough. The staff are friendly and always welcoming. Hadn’t visited a dentist office in over a decade due to severe anxiety. Went today to have an emergency root canal and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. Dr. Cremonese was professional and kept me up to date with everything he was doing, while also checking to make sure my comfort level was to my satisfaction. I would recommend this dentist to any and every person who struggles with anxiety in regards to their dental visits.

Pros: Front desk team was patient and nice. Cons: dental team isn't honest with their mistakes. Eventhough the dentist Dr. Matteo was nice, he definitely still needs time to practice and learn more. This is an accident, he had accidently cut my inner cheeks during the filling using the drill. I asked him if it was a cut and he said no, it is because the divider pinched it because my cheeks were "plump". I trusted him when he told me that, and I do believe it happens once in awhile. As I was leaving, I asked him again If I need to atleast to gargle salt water. He said no, it will be gone in 1 day. The pain got worse and the wound is still bleeding. Ive gotten it checked again by other dentists and it is NOT a pinch, my inner cheeks And my gum beside the tooth has been cut by the high speed drill (photo attached). It will take atleast 1 week for the pain to subside. It's not about the cut that is wrong. it is the fact that he did not accept his mistake and disregard my after care.

Came to the clinic for the first time, and thought it was remarkably accessible from the street. Very clean and bright, and all the staff were kind and efficient. Went there recently for the first time after not going to the dentist for awhile. The staff was very professional. The Dentist was extremely thorough as was the hygienist. I loved seeing the pictures of my teeth and how they went over every tooth with me and told me how they each of them were. The hygienist gave me comprehensible advice on how to keep my teeth maintained. Overall the experience was the best I ever had at a dentist and I actually look forward to my next appointment in 6 months.

I went to Dawson Dental last year because I had flossed an old filling out of my tooth. Dr Brito was able to put in a temporary filling until full procedures were allowed. As things opened up after the lockdown Dr Brito put in a permanent filling. The year 2020 was quite stressful for me. I went back recently in March because I wanted to get a night guard for my aggressive clenching at night. I got the guard and Dr Brito discovered that I had several damaged teeth, and that 2 died. Dr Matteo was great and the second root canal eliminated a horrible pressure headache. Fast forward I am now getting some cracked fillings replaced. My health has improved and will be happy to keep a regular maintenance schedule with Dawson Dental in the future. Thank you Dr Brito and Dr Matteo.

Don't get your Invisalign treatment at this location. I started my treatment and over the course of 7 months which is half way through my treatment I had not had one follow up with a dentist. There is a huge turnover but also incompetent management that failed to follow up with me and my treatment. I attempted several times to voice concerns over the treatment and process but unfortunately I wasn't getting a professional response. I learned at the end that I am not assigned to any dentist and no one is watching over my treatment leaving me no option but to switch clinics half way through after I paid the full cost. I was left with couple of issues with my teeth, bite alignment and other minor things. I spoke with several new dentists who all agreed that this is not a normal experience and my treatment lacked comprehensive care. This means any new dentist requires me to start all over and potentially pay up the cost. The treatment was not the only bad service. I had to call at least 5-7 times to ensure my claims were being submitted. I was the middle man the entire time between the clinic admin staff and the insurance company. This never was my experience with any other dental clinic. If you are looking for comprehensive care and treatment I advise you to go else where because you will be neglected here and no one has your best interest.

My wife visited this place 3 months ago. Today again we got a call and were told that we have an appointment tomorrow. We never scheduled it. They sent us some emails before when we didn't respond, they even called us. This is not good. You should not chase your customers like this and should not schedule without consulting a patient. DO NOT GO THIS DENTAL CLINIC!!!! Just for asking more money from you! I was very diappointed about their service. My insurance is 100% covered by my insurance company. And I went to this clinic in the first and second time is all covered by my insurance. But I went the third time, they did some X-ray. And in the end, they told me that I need to pay 120. and the insurance company will give me the money back in 2 weeks. But after 2 weeks, they told me that i owned them X-ray fee. They will deduct the money from the 120. Why dont they tell me how much should I pay before they do all the X-ray?

This place is exceptional! Most often I have these two lovely dentist gentlemen fluttering around me, and their assistants, making me comfortable and happy. They are careful, attentive, give you nitrous oxide when asked, and for my root canal yesterday I asked if I could listen to my own music through my baby speaker, and my dentist even said turn it up! Of course you could imagine the fear and anxiousness of the unknown. However when he came in he was greeted with a smile by Ashley and Reetika they made him feel comfortable. ABSOLUTE SCAM. The clinic lost my xray forcing me to go through an extremely uncomfortable one at their sister location. When I asked for a refund, they dragged their feet for 6 weeks saying that it needs to go through head office. Thier head office is in TORONTO. I still have not seen my money come back. They keep telling me that they will call me back and have not done so even once over this 6 week period.

General Information

This office is welcoming and warm. The front desk staff are pleasant and efficient. The office is clean and well managed. I felt special and comfortable, along with trusting my dentist and hygienist. I would recommend this office.

I find the office too big. It does not feel personal and kinda feels like a factory. There are lots of staff, many communicating using ear pieces and walkies. My last dental cleaning the hygienist kept taking so many pictures of my teeth, and then made me stand to take a full picture of all my teeth in a machine that wasn't working. So another person came all the while I was standing there with this thing in my mouth, they kept trying and trying it took 10 min. I also feel they are significantly more expensive then other dentists I've visited. On one visit I had dents work done, I came back in a week or two because tooth was feeling odd...was told by the Dr that it's raised a bit too much and she can polish it more and shave some of the filling down. Needles to say I was charged for getting that done, a tooth that she worked on...no other dentist charged me in the past for adjustments to teeth they worked on. I decided to leave the dental office.

The quality of care you receive really depends on the hygenist you see. It seems like they're all random at this place as the last three times I have been here I have three different hygenists. One of them in particular was very rough with her metal tools which seemed unnecessary to me. They also booked me for an exam without even asking you first.

This practice is so close to my loft that I want to love it, but I cant. The corporate structure of this clinic is disheartening and uncomfortable, and Ive already transferred my records out of there. Im giving them 3 stars, however, because they run efficiently and streamline everything - something thats valuable in todays world. The atmosphere is just too box store for me, but I appreciate that they never wasted any of my time.

I came in for a consult with Dr Brito, and he suggested I would get 2 wisdom teeth removed. Him and Dr Cremonese were very friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed through the whole surgery. I had no pain or swelling during the recovery. If you're afraid of needles Dr Brito is your go to, I didn't even feel the anesthesia, he is very skilled! I highly recommend Dr Brito & Dr Cremonese.

He has a great sense of humour which engenders a calm and relaxed state in his patients. Dr. George is a world-class denturist who is meticulous in his work and very kind in his manner. Dr. Anna is a also first in her field as a Professor of Dental Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is a very kind and caring dentist. I feel like I am with family.

I had a really good experience - 5 fillings and my back wisdom teeth removed. Dr Drimmer who is an amazing dentist who put me at ease through all of the procedures, which were painless. She ensured that I was 100% happy with the way my teeth were feeling before I left the chair and on my checkups. It has been 2 weeks since my wisdom teeth extraction and I am going in for my 2nd check up to make sure the healing is on track. A small cut on my moth became infected and the amount of care that I was given by Dr Drimmer and the team to ensure the infection subsided was awesome and helped it to heal quicker. The best thing is - After the treatments I feel like i have a new mouth! I used to live with a constant discomfort (of not being able to chew on one side of my mouth or avoiding certain foods) that I would try to avoid but now my entire mouth is feeling perfect. I think the results; quality of the treatments, staff, level of service and after care provided by the practice; is unique and represents great value to me as a patient. One other thing I appreciated was the practice helped me to understand my insurance coverage and prioritized treatments based on the amount of insurance I had available on my plan and the risk of problems. After my treatments, I still have insurance left over – so it is not as they cleared out my plan coverage in order to get the maximum amount of cash out of me! I really disagree with the hard selling/ money grabbing comments on here. I was advised to take cleaning but did not feel obliged. There were no hidden charges on my bills and I felt like the priority of this dental practice was the health of my mouth not their health of their wallet. Have recommended to friends a colleagues who have a all came away with the same feelings.

Dawson Dental is a representation of corporate greed in its best form! My first time - I came in for a routine cleaning. After the cleaning they suggested that I do the complete check up (x-rays, etc...) which would also include a free cancer screening test. I agreed and scheduled that for my next visit. After I left the center, I was charged twice for the procedure. I had to go back to the office and they rectified the mistake. I said honest mistake... can happen to anyone. The next time after I came in for the check up - I was charged for the "free" cancer screening test. AGAIN I had to go back to the office and rectify the mistake. At that time, their dentist recommended that I have a certain preventative procedure done on my molars to help prevent cavities. I agreed to that procedure but after the dentist finished my work they charged me a whopping fee for a procedure that is completely different. I called the office twice before having someone tell me the doctor will get in touch with me in the next 2 hours. Well guess what.... 2 hours later NO CALLS. No actually... make that 2 days later and still NO CALLS. I had to come to the office AGAIN and have them explain their billing practice. According to them, the procedure I was charged for was the one the dentist did on me even though I never consented for it. I asked how can you do that procedure, bill me for it when I never consented for it? Their response was a measly "sorry - but this procedure is better and is worth it in the long run". REALLY? Your doctors don't decide what is best for the PATIENT without their knowledge and input. I was revolted by the complete lack of ability to effectively communicate something between a dentist and their patient. Jesus christ... how hard is it to tell your goddamn dentist to mention to the patient the actual name of the procedure they plan to do? Not say some other one and then bill the patient for something completely different. Folks, Dawson Dental may follow the Ontario Dental Fee Guide but they will still use every opportunity to gouge you for money. Whether it is by "erring" in billing, up-coding their claims or simply not obtaining consent. They will ease you in slowly with their "free" services initially but this dental office will follow all of these aforementioned practices that put profits above patients by your 3rd visit. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where honesty in the doctor-patient relationship is more valued and upheld.

Finding this dental clinic was the best thing that happened to my teeth! They turned the entire experience of a dentist phobic into a pleasure. Dr Cox is an absolute gem who finally made me able to go to a dentist appointment without the fear that usually sits tight in my stomach, Dr Matteo made 3 extractions that resulted in 0 pain, even after the anesthesia wore off, and the entire nursing staff did anything possible to accommodate my discomfort and fear. Last but not least, the ladies at reception are very pleasant, efficient with my coverage claims, quick to book my appointments and made the effort to remember my name :)

Overall, it was a great experience. The front desk staff (especially Karen) were beyond pleasant, both on the phone and in person. Dr. Matteo provided my care, and he was phenomenal (as well as his assistant who's name eludes me at the moment!). I ended up needing a root canal, and the procedure was as enjoyable as a root canal can be hahahah. But seriously, he explained the procedure and why he would be performing it , he made sure that I was comfortable throughout, and he kept the mood light and breezy! He took time with the procedure, and also arranged for follow-up care. The only downside, which I will not deduct a star for because it isn't their fault, is the location. Being so close to Yonge and Bloor, getting there by car is a bit of a challenge (parking, traffic, never-ending Toronto traffic). Other than that, the office itself is clean and well organized. I would definitely recommend this dental office!

Completely agree with the other 1 star review made by Laura. Doctor is completely money hungry. I had a good experience with the rest of the staff but he is awful. He passed my bill and charged me for X-rays I didn't need. He even charged me to "check" my file to see if I had had them done recently which I told him I had... Twice. He also wanted me to see the specialist about getting my imaginary wisdom teeth taken out. I am 28 and you can barely see them in my X-ray. My mom never had hers come in, I don't have any crowding, I don't need them taken out. He said to me, "we will just get them out there anyway". Umm no thanks. Almost forgot... The $600 mouth guard I bought broke within a week.

I find that they waste alot of time booking multiple appointments over several weeks. They dont do the best job because they will see you next time. It is a dragged on process. This is the most I have been to the dentist my whole life for a small issue that doesn't seem to be getting fixed. They are nice people, but the practice needs to work on its customer care and learn how to book appointments.

Thank you Dawson Dental for resolving our situation quickly and kindly. I appreciate Himani, the Treatment Corrdinator for helping us with this matter. Our family has been going to Dawson Dental on Rosedale for a few years. I went for a follow up and received a $9000. bill. We trusted this dental team but they did not check with the insurance carefully that some service is not covered and they continue to proceed the work. At this difficult time I really don’t appreciate their lack of care and incredibly over charging. We are also essential workers as well. We will stop going to this dental office.

So i was on the hunt for a new dentist and these folks are close. Its 2020 and I'm less than thrilled with how the front desk staff handled my call. I mentioned my partners benefits and reception kept say "she", i corrected her and said "he" and she didn't correct herself. After referring to my partner as "She" again and again i said "He! My partner is male" (gay couple). She kinda copped and attitude about it and said "sorry! HEEEEEEEEE". Like you're pretty close to the village folks, and i assume have a heavy flow of lgbtqia+ clientele. Lets work on possibly being gender neutral until you know for sure.... or not giving attitude about it when your corrected. I wouldn't give this place my business at all strictly based off that first interaction.

March 4/2020 - I had my first appointment with Dr. Laura Santoro of the Dawson Dental Bay Street location today and I was very pleased with my experience. She listened to everything that I wanted to discuss and went over all points with me, giving me several options to address my problems and concerns. I will be continuing to see her as my new dentist, as she is caring, personable and seems very capable as a practitioner. Thanks to Dr. Laura for a pleasurable experience at my appointment, which is really saying something for a dentist appointment!

I have always had an irrational fear of dentists and visiting them. A fear of being judged for not having a good enough dental routine of cleaning, flossing etc. But I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Ted Cox. He is empathetic, sympathetic, non-judgemental and aims to assist in finding a treatment plan that prioritizes issues to make them more affordable over time without coming across as condescending or patronizing. Highly recommended.

Horrible service. I went for a teeth cleaning about 9 months ago. I'm fully covered by insurance they still charged me saying the money would be given back to me. After my insurance paid them they still have yet not refunded the double charge. I want to the clinc in toronto by bloor and the receptionist was soo rude I could not even stay to argue. Apparently I have to wait for a check that they have no idea when they will issue. Terrible save your self time and money go anywhere else
