I am extremely happy with my experience with Lise, Vanessa, Faye and Dr. Spencer at Dawson Dental. I could not have asked for a better experience with my wisdom teeth extraction procedure. All staff were attentive and caring and made me feel comfortable and safe. I will highly recommend your office to all of my friends, family and colleagues as I have never received such treatment in a dental office before. Lise was very easy to communicate with when scheduling my appointment and had no problem answering any questions or concerns I had in a prompt manner. Speaking with her helped me trust the office to do my procedure before even visiting for the first time. Vanessa was amazing at helping me relax and calm my nerves as I was getting prepped for the procedure. She spoke with me and connected with me and it made me feel more relaxed and inviting to the experience I was about to have. She kept my mind occupied away from the nerves I was experiencing and I could not thank her enough. Faye held my hand through the entire procedure and I don't think I could have done it without her. She was so warm and welcoming and made sure I was comfortable and safe. She is truly a lovely woman. I am more than overly satisfied with the work that was done by Dr. Spencer when extracting all 4 of my wisdom teeth. He called me the following day to check up on me and it reassured me that I was in the best of hands and he genuinely cared about my recovery and well being. I have gained so much trust for Dr. Spencer and the dental team at Dawson.

The Oshawa team are truly amazing. I think like most, I would rather be doing anything other then visiting the dentist. The team knows the anxiety I feel and do a very good job relaxing me. My young daughter also goes to them and they do an awesome job with her and make her also feel comfortable. They've made her first dental experience a postive one.

Honestly such a great group of people. I was the BIGGEST baby with my panic attacks (reading things that could possibly happen did not help lol) bit they were so patient with me and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. Even though my tooth was a hassle and a half and with me being how I was...I had a pretty great experience here :)

Been meaning to leave this review for a long time. Long story short.. I have a major overbite. I was told to get Invisalign.. wasted 2 years of my life and money to do nothing on what I wanted fixed.. which was my over bite.. I needed actual braces and instead I was tricked into getting invisalign thinking it would yield the same results as traditional braces. Now I'm in the process of looking into getting actual braces that I'm again going to have to basically pay another 5k at least to actually fix what I wanted fixed.

Let me preface this review by stating that No, i am not invisible. Arrived at 5:09pm for my 5:10pm dental appointment. After standing at the front desk until 5:19 pm, only to be ignored by not one, but the TWO dental receptionists (shabana et Al..... I may be off with the name), I decided to ????WALK OUT. I don't tolerate being disrespected . I was no more than 5 feet away from each. They were with other clients, But how much effort does it really take to look over to your waiting client(s) to say " I'll be with your momentarily " or " sorry for the wait, I'll be right with you". No eye contact..not even a hello, how are you, welcome.....nothinggggg. Customer service clearly LACKING here, but the disrespect, no shortage of that. Use this review as a coaching opportunity. ***update********** Although no one contacted me or *attempted to contact me after leaving my 1 star review, I am still Changing my review from 1 star to 5, as my post appoint interactions exceeded my expectations! My daughter had an appointment for her very first dental checkup and I must say, that the thought, and personal touch of sending my daughter a follow up, hand written card from her dentist, as well as the bravery award she received, and not to mention the care and attention from the staff....... was very much appreciated. I was also promptly greeted on all subsequent visits ...with a genuine smile :) This is world class customer service at it's finest!

I am a patient with Dawson this year due to my dentist retiring and merging to a new office. I have only had those two dentist for 50 years. I find your staff very polite. Most of the original team is now at the new location, some whom i known since they first entered the profession. Please give an extra thank you to the hygienist who cleaned my teeth...my usual hygienist who was from the Willson group was not available due to a scheduling conflict. I found the new hygienist very pleasant and on her “A” game. Cheers

Called Dawson dental mid September my neighbor on ODSP recmended them, when I called was told couldn’t get an appointment till next week try somewhere else, after trying 6 other places I called back saying your the fastest place I can get in to, so then Jennifer from Dawson dental Oshawa said you know what we’re not accepting anymore people on assistance right now, so cash is king and people in poverty can suffer even if you have a dental plan, when I finally got to see a dentist my tooth was basically abscess, thanks Dawson dental Oshawa your my hero, NOT.

May 2019 - Update: I was not using an incorrect fax or phone number as indicated by the business' response. I have emailed with Lise and forwarded her my original email from January 2019. Lise indicated that the error was on the side of Dawson Dental - not me. Lise indicated that her email was being updated or transferred during the time that I sent my original email and my email was "not received" as a result. I've now changed my rating to a 1 as a result of the business response. Original review: I have left this dental office because of the treatment I received from a hygenist and a dentist. I emailed a letter detailing my dissatisfaction and poor experience to the office manager and the head office for Dawson Dental. Not a single person from this organization responded to address my concerns. Having found a new dental office for myself and children, I have requested a release of records through my new dental provider. The request has gone unanswered as their fax line is always busy and getting through on the phone has not been possible either. The front desk staff are friendly and yes there are refreshments & TVs; however, don't base your decision to use this service based on the entertainment value. Look at how they treat dissatisfied patients and look at their dentist's reviews on Rate My MD - believe these over the shiny office.

Benson is our hygienist at Dawson Dental and he is excellent! Very friendly and professional, we always leave with a bright clean smile. The rest of the staff at the office are also so friendly and kind. The covid procedures taken are excellent, the office is always immaculately clean, everything is wiped down and cleaned before and after use and we feel safe to visit!

Benson, my dental hygienist always explain things in detail and I always left the appt with extremely clean teeth! Dawson Dental offers very good Dental Services, with modern and up to date dental equipment in every office . I was impressed at how clean and hygienic the dental office is. All of the staff are extremely friendly and make you feel like family. I would highly recommend Dawson Dental to anyone and everyone as they provide excellent Denistry and they have competitive fees and prices, if you don't have insurance.

I had the best dentist experience I ever had here. Dr sign I think is his name I may be totally wrong though made my experience to be more comforting. I'm afraid of the dentist because I don't have the best teeth. And my biggest fear is to have one pulled and they made sure that didn't happen. The other thing is the Dr had enough time to go and depth and explain the x rays I was very please. The assistant and student were very friendly I would highly reccomend this dentist for students to learn. The only criticism I can give is I feel like I'm bugging them when I call so often to see if their is availability to be seen. I'm still having a few issues and my anxiety is high I feel bad for calling all the time because I know they are busy. But by far best dentist I been too.

Seem like more of a sales place for various tooth brushes and supplies then a dentists office. I do not love going to the dentist as is, I do not need someone pushing me to buy things i "absolutely need" while im in the chair with my mouth wide open.

We love Dr. Spencer and all the staff there. We used to go to the Dawson Dental in Kingston and we liked it and thought it was very nice but the Oshawa Dawson Dental is truly wonderful. The staff are excellent and kind and everyone there makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable. My children actually get excited to go to this dentist! I highly recommend them. One ammendment to this - we only go to Dr. Spencer, my daughter had a bad experience here with another dentist but Dr. Spencer is ALWAYS kind and gentle and my children think he's just great! ALL of the hygienists are wonderful and great with kids.

Awesome experience, had a piece of a molar break off, Dr Spencer had a look and determined that he could repair the tooth. Dr. Spencer did an excellent job ,preparing ,building up the area and finishing the tooth in a timely manner. The Oshawa Office Staff are also awesome!

I recently had a cleaning at the Oshawa office by an amazing hygienist Courtney. Her relaxed demeanor really helped to make me feel at ease-- while her knowledge kept me informed. I liked that I got to lay back and watch tv, (even though Maury wasn't on). :) My teeth feel so clean, that I don't feel like flossing. (obviously a joke!)-- Anyway, it was a great experience, I felt understood, rather than feeling as though I was going to get a lecture for being a non-flosser. Courtney gave me some great tips on getting started. As for the rest of the team, they were all a pleasure to be around. Good times! I totally recommend this office!
