If you are at all nervous about seeing a dentist then you must go to Dawson Dental on Queen Street in Kingston and see Dr. Alex. He's young, very informed, very gentle and a lot of fun to relieve your stress. They have a TV on the ceiling which passes the time and all the staff that work there are really nice and helpful.

I had an emergiency tooth break, Dawson Dental called back immediately, got me in ASAP and fixed within days. I am usually super anxious from previous experiences, but I had absolutley no discomfort during the treatment, and felt like I was in very caring capable hands. First dentist I've ever been to where I have felt comfortable. Very clean and professional!

There's quite a lot going on in my mouth, consequently I've seen a few dentists in my time. Dr Alexa Lam (and assistants), at Dawson Dental, is the one whose work and decision-making I most trust—and trusting in a dentist, for me, is vital. It's not like I can fix my own mouth after all. Dr Lam communicates what he is doing, and why, openly, along with having a great chair-side manner. The transparency and information have been reassuring to me as I sit there jaw agape and thereafter. I've had a lot of fillings in the past, before using Dawson: when coming away from Dawson Dental after having had a filling (or two) I've been surprised at how little I notice the work, and how little it impacts the rest of my day. I'm also very happy with the way my teeth have been reshaped after the work is done (i.e. how the filling has been shaped); the tooth shape feels akin to what was prior, not like an alien lump. Staff at the practice have been super helpful as well as friendly. I would recommend Dawson dental, specifically Dr Lam, to family and friends. As long as I am in or near the Kingston area I will be coming back. Thanks so much

Hayley was the hygienist who took care of me and she was amazing! I really liked how she went above and beyond by answering all my questions and providing extremely useful tips. She was fast, efficient, had she is very knowledgeable! Hayley is very good at her job and made me feel really comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and I will definitely come back and ask for her next time!

Five stars hands down My son and I have been going here for years. First of all I highly recommend this place for anyone who is anywhere between a "little nervous to full on terrified" of going to the dentist. They specialize in dealing with grownups with phobias about their dentist visit. They are non judgemental, caring and don't rush you Ive had dentists actually make fun of me years ago and I promise you won't have that problem here. They are pretty quick to get you into an appointment especially if your having a dental emergency, and the entire staff from the girls at the front desk to the hygienists to the surgeons and everyone in between are the best dental office in Kingston. Highly recommended.

I’ve been a loyal Dawson patient for the past 3 years. Every visit has been extraordinary except my visit earlier today. They intentionally played around with my bill to charge me personally and to make it seem as if my insurance does not cover the services I received. How do I know they played around with my bill? I’ve gotten the same procedure for the past 3 years and my insurance always covered it. My insurance’s policy did not change this year but somehow it is not covered and I had to pay personally. I noticed they changed the name of the procedure to make it “not covered”. I feel cheated and ripped off as a customer. If they had good intentions, they would’ve at least given me a warning or something before doing the procedure. But they didn’t and barely gave me any chance to talk. It was rushed and unfair. It is also a big punch in the face to me since I am a student and can’t afford such charges. Be careful and stay away, Dawson isn’t the same place it used to be. UPDATE: the owner read my review and replied claiming that they will get back to me about my issue. However, no one go back to me.

I began coming to Dawson about 2 years ago when I had a serious issue with my tooth, and they fixed it up quickly with as little pain as possible, and permanently! After the incredibly friendly and efficient service I received in my own visit, I immediately brought my wife and two daughters over from their other dentist. As a family we've all had routine checkups and cleanings, and we couldn't be happier with the continuing support, friendliness, knowledge and caring of the staff. I know a trip to the dentist isn't always the best part of the day, but from the office manager right through to the dentists themselves the entire staff goes the extra mile to make it the best possible experience and truly makes the dental experience as pleasant and painless as possible. Highly recommended!

This company has automated itself so much that it’s lost it’s patient care to growing pains. I was agitated by the hygienist because he agreed with me that paying for a mouth cancer scan was uncessessary, but as gimmicky as we all agreed, it somehow managed to be male it’s way onto my bill. Apparently I got their newest dentist Dr. Tai, who came in and told me I had a few small cavities and something on my gum’s that he had never seen before. He told me he wanted pictures of it taken and sent to a surgeon. A few days later Dr. Tai had his staff call me instead to say that I have to go to Sunny Brook Hospital with no information about any kind of appointment or any file/number accociated with what was happening. With a slight cancer/disease scare on my hands I started watching my phone constantly. No one ever called me or followed up ????‍♂️

I would normally never think to write a review based on a dental experience but here goes: I’ve been a patient at this office for years. The staff is super kind and friendly. I have dental anxiety and I hate the freezing, most often I opt out of the freezing when I get any work done (crazy, I know). I called today due to a tooth ache that has been ongoing and they were able to get me in right away to take a look. Sure enough, I needed to replace a filling. As someone with anxiety, this was my worst nightmare. Dr Alex and his assistant were so kind and patient with me today during the procedure. They kept checking in to make sure that I was ok, which didn’t go unnoticed. I am a 35 year old woman that has literal anxiety attacks over the dentist and it can be quite humiliating. They did everything they could to answer all of my (irrational) questions and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and safe. Dr Alex was super caring and knowledgeable, he went the extra mile today by even calling this evening to see how I was doing. I will forever be loyal to this dental office and thanks so much Dr Alex & your assistant, your kindness did not go unnoticed. Lindsay Landry

I would not come here if I was in severe pain. The receptionist is rude. I walked in one day and asked her a question. She was so bitchy and said that I couldn't come back. I used to come here when I was a child for dental checkups.. but not anymore. Take my word on it. Terrible place!!

I switched to Dawson Dental from Altima dental after concerns regarding the competency of a dentist I was seeing. From registration to dentist & dental assistant, the entire staff are absolutely delightful. Alex (Dentist) saved my tooth that was going to be extracted at the other dental office. It is so amazing to have a competent dentist that I can trust with my care. My husband was the first to switch over to Dawson, and I only wish I had switched over sooner! We highly recommend Dawson Dental to anyone looking for a welcoming environment and excellent care.

I was really anxious, due to previous dental experiences. But, Dawson Dental Staff was so amazing with me, that I'll keep them as my Dental Hygiene Specialists for life!!! They fixed my teeth, brilliantly! They have a wonderful team! Dr. "One Koala" is friggin' awesome! Hes the best dentist ever! The hygeinis that worked with him really were all awesome, as well! Cannot say enough good things without being on here all day! I had 10 cavities! Now, I have none, and my mouth feels so much better! You would never know I had that much decay, as his work is perfect!

Horrible. Every apt seems to get cancelled or when you show up they don't have the machine working. I would not recommend- look else where people unless you have all the time in the world to always reschedule your appointments. Since Dr. Du toit left the place is horrible and would strongly recommend looking else where!

I saw Dr. Pervez and hygienist (?Amanda) for a cleaning and checkup in Februrary. The hygienist had a really light touch while working on 2 years of plaque. Dr. Pervez was genuine, warm and made me feel really good about the state of my oral health. I actually left smiling.

I went in for an emergency visit and the whole team was amazing. The admin team got me within the hour and Dr. Perez fixed the issue and set me up for a a single day appointment to replace some broken implants. She was informative, easy to talk with and, even though she fit me in on a busy day, she still took the time to discuss the options and procedures and made my first experience with Dawson stress free.

I have two young children who had anxiety about the dentist because of poor expierences at other offices, after there first visit here and all the care and compassion they recieved they dont mind going now. This is the best dentist office with the best dental hygienists. To qualify this review: I hate the dentist. I have had horrible and ok experiences at the dentist (just because of the nature of their work; i've had many extractions ow!) but i have never had a good experience. Now I can say I have had a good experience at the dentist. Amanda is the best dental hygienist.

I switched from another Dental in town where the Female Dentist seemed like a masocist when working on me (which I had later heard another person suggesting same.) I was so relieved when a friend said her Dentist was kind and considerate . I called to see if they were taking new patients. YESSS So here I am 2 .5 years later and extremely pleased with EVERYONE in the office Dr. LAMB IS AMAZING. A 10+ I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAWSON DENTAL. They are extremely attentive to individual needs and make the patient extremely comfortable. They are highly skilled and the price is right too!!!☺

I had to have a partial plate put in this month! The whole entire team was amazing from start to finish. The procedure it self went great ( I struggle with anxiety ) they were amazing, Like beyond belief! The time in which it took was shorter than imagined and when I returned for my post OP, everything was going to plan with healing! They worked with me for months prior to figure out what benefits would cover and what I would have to pay out of pocket. Best experience with a dentist in a long time!
