I went to Dawson Dental Group in 2015. The dentist informed me that I needed a root canal and bridge. I didn't believe her, so I did not return there. I went to a new dentist today (2017), and she informed me that I did not need a root canal or bridge. Furthermore, I didn't even have any cavities. I guess all that Dental work I needed in 2015 miraculously disappeared! Be ware!

Dr. Nagar and her staff are genuine people and I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve had some extensive work done there and all of them including Dr. Ritu make my visits pleasant and take measures to help me with my low dental pain threshold. I’m retired Coast Guard and fearless in high seas up to 30’, but a basket case when it comes to dental pain ????. It is VERY obvious everyone enjoys working with each other and the Doc is down to earth and a joy to talk to. Also their new location is awesome.

Had abscess tooth under a bridge very complex. No one would see me for weeks. Called 4 local dentist with severe pain. Finally got a dentist. He wanted $5000 to fix my teeth issues. Continued calling around and finally Called Dawson Dental. The girl asked if I could come in in 1 hour. WOW! YES! OMG! I got there. Clean everything, new, the professional staff greeted me. Full x-rays and exam $75.Could not believe this was happening. Dental assistant Ashley was kind and listened and was empathetic and did not rush me through like cattle. Doctor came in and she examined my mouth and x_rays, listened patiently to my issues which were very complex. She knew exactly what to do. Put me on antibiotics, Ashley made impressions the doctor came back in and explained in detail the procedures that we were going to do. She was empathetic as were all the staff. I will have my new front teeth, parts labor EVERYTHING for $2000. Great How does one dentist want $5000 and another want $2000? Military discount. I will never go anywhere else. I was extremely nervous about going to the Dentist but I had a couple cavities that were hurting and needed to be treated. Dr. Nagar told me all my options and what treatment she recommended and layed out a plan to get all my teeth where they need to be. She made me feel 100% comfortable while I was there. This group is very unprofessional! The only thing I ever had done with them was have 3 fillings. And ALL of the teeth they filled I had to have root canals on. They couldn't adjust my bite nor tell me why my gums bled so easily. I paid them in full but when they found out that I switched dentist they sent me a bill within 2 days of getting my records and then sent me to collections. The front office staff works as a hygienist as well.

Called them at 9 this morning they were able to have me in by 10:30 removed two teeth that were in excruciating pain which I had scheduled with another dentist for a month away took super good care of me paid attention to my anxieties. I am TERRIFIED of the dentist but had broken a tooth and needed to get it taken care of. I called them and they had an appointment setup for the next day. Priscilla at the front desk was super sweet and understanding. I went in for my appointment and they were able to get my temporary crown the same day! The staff was super gentle and kind. The procedure was painless and quick. Of course my mouth is sore now after the numbing meds have worn off but overall I’m surprised with how easy this process has been so far.

While Dr. Nagar and her staff are very pleasant, more needs to be done in the way of patient education. I understand that as a patient, it is my responsibility to research my insurance and treatment options, but being told AFTER having all of my teeth removed that my insurance will not cover dentures, that I must pay out of pocket ($1600 per plate) was a shock that left me sincerely pissed. SOMEONE in the office could have said, "Hey, before we pull 27 teeth and happily bill your insurance company about $100 a piece for them, did you know that your insurance does NOT pay for dentures and you'll have to pay for them yourself?". That would have been good to know BEFORE I was left toothless and trying to figure out how to come up with the money just to be able to chew again.

I was in Dahlonega for a wedding and woke up with swelling and pain. Dawson Dental Group not only got me in on a Friday, but they also gave me a root canal and got me out of there in great time. I made it back to the chapel to get ready for pictures. No one could tell that I had a root canal 3 hours before the wedding. The staff was phenomenal and understanding and if I lived closer, I’d be a new patient. I strongly recommend using them!

The front desk admn assistant Priscilla is wonderful!! I pray she answers when I call, because the office manager Amy is probably the rudest most condescending “professional” I have ever dealt with. One of the first interactions consisted of a conference call between myself, my dental insurance provider, and Amy. The insurance carrier was assuring Amy that I was indeed covered and services could be rendered that day. Amy was extremely rude and unprofessional, and I was embarrassed for this insurance representative to be subjected to the kind of treatment and the belittling that occurred. At one point, Amy said “what is your name ma’am so when what you’re saying doesn’t happen I can refer back to.” I apologized to the Delta dental representatives who had been nothing but professional and helpful. The office utilizes caller ID to know which calls are coming in, which would be fine if they didn’t obviously filter whom they chose to answer. Whenever I call, and it goes to voicemail, I know Priscilla must be assisting someone, and it is Amy covering the phone. This is because I most times have to call back twice- Amy will pick up without a greeting including her name and a general attitude of annoyance. Just this past week when I tried to make an appointment around my schedule, she was unwilling to help me find a time a lot and repeated the “doctor doesn’t work on Mondays” when it would slip my mind and I would ask about a Monday appointment. Frustrated and baffled by her seeming contention over assisting me, I told her to cancel my appointment and I would try again. I called back and Priscilla easily and efficiently assisted me in getting my appointment scheduled. As a temporary crown had fallen off, information also told to Amy, Priscilla said. I needed to come in to keep the remaining teeth could start to shift. Priscilla’s sense of urgency was greatly appreciated and she got me in quickly and my dental treatment continued. At this point, my husband and I don’t deal with Amy and her sour attitude- not sure what I we did to make her so tense with us, but I cannot in good conscience refer Dawson Debtal to peers, friends, and-or family.

The hygienist was pleasant and very nice. VERY good person and professional. The two girls left up front on the 23rd were the pushiest people I have ever seen in my life. The one that wore blue Especially. She was relentless in trying to get me to get 2 teeth fixed. I even told her over and over that I had discussed this on a previous visit and even had already obtained and estimate already!! Still she repeatedly kept pushing and pushing about the same thing I already had all the info about. I know my how my insurance works. I don't have to be told over and over and over again. I finally worked my way to the door and she was still rambling. Wow! What I'm getting at is I have a memory. I heard this already an have it on paper. I told her that three different times but she refused to listen to the customer. I dont need to be pushed at all. I know what will happen if I get the work done. I know what will happen if I dont. This person is probably driving customers away. Honestly. She made me very uncomfortable and embarrassed. In my opinion this not a good way to get repeat business. It made me feel like she don't think people are smart enough to know what kind of insurance they have when in the real world its what people can afford out of pocket. Bad business practice. Please get her under control. I will Not be intimidated. They are my teeth and it is my money! She was at the very least trying to intimidate me into doing somthing I was not financially ready for. *****UPDATE: After this review posted I was contacted by the office. An apology was received and the issue has been resolved I appreciate the capability to get my husband in within 24 hours. My husband said staff was polite. Facility was nice However I provided our insurance information prior to the appt. As well as it being on the paperwork provided when my husband checked in. My husband was evaluated and had xrays done. A treatment plan was then provided to my husband with an appt within 2 days. When I received the estimate I was shocked. I called your office to see if this was run through our insurance. The response I was provided "Yeah we are out of network and it was run through your insurance". This should have been told to myself when making the appt or the patient at check in. Not after evaluation with diagnostics and an additional appt has been made.

As we checked out we were informed that our insurance benefits for this year was not going to roll over and if I wanted to have work done then we could use our remaining benefits. So wonderful to know that the whole staff was concerned from start to finish about our work to be done from the Doctor's diagnosis to the front office personnel that explained it to me. There was not pressure, just the knowledge of how all this works. Even during this busy season, these ladies still have smiles on their faces and just are as pleasant as can be...Dr. Nagar is very accommodating and does her very best to make sure she squeezes as many patients as she can into her schedule. Once inside they take your temp and have you fill out a COVID symptom questionnaire. Offer hand sanitizer for you to use. My wife broke a molar about 10:30 pm day before New Years Eve. Needless to say,exposed nerve. A lot of hurt. For both of us. Googled emergency dental extractions. They pooped up. Called the next morning. They worked her in at 11 am. Office staff was great. Dentist took real good care of her. Very reasonable prices to compared to some I looked at. I’d recommend them anytime. I am always very comfortable and happy with the work I have had done. I have had several fillings and never had the first problem. The doctor and staff are very efficient and caring. Everyone in the office can answer any question that you have about your treatment because they are all very knowledgeable. The girls in the front office work very hard to check your insurance and give you the best possible scenario. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to my family, friends or anyone needing any type of dental treatment.

I called with a very painful dental emergency - as a new patient - and the receptionist was able to get me in immediately. (*Let me state, for the record, that I HATE the dentist... so much that I haven't gone even for a cleaning in an embarrassing amount of time*) Every single employee I encountered, from the receptionist, to the hygienist, to Dr. Nagar, greeted me with a smile and genuine concern for the amount of pain I was in. Their number one concern was my comfort. I was quickly seen and examined and provided with options for treatment. The staff were quick to work out a financial payment plan that fit my budget without being "pushy" as some dental clinics can be. Dr. Nagar was 100% on top of controlling my pain and her calm demeanor eased my extreme anxiety. I walked into Dawson Dental Group in tears and excruciating pain and left pain-free and with a smile on my face (at least I think I was smiling, ya know how novocain goes ????). I am being 100% genuine when I say that I will NEVER go anywhere else for dental care. What an excellent and trauma-free experience!

I cancelled my next appointment and it sounded like the receptionist didn't really care that I cancelled. Reason I cancelled is I just don't trust this place. Lets go back 2 months and add my review of my first experience there. The place is very clean, nice hygienist, great reviews and closer to home. My husband and I had the same day appointment, one after the other. I went first, got x rays, sat down and went straight to gum measuring. The hygienist poked the heck out of my gums! I've never felt these tests done like this! I've always had healthy gums. Then I was told I needed a deep clean not just the regular cleaning. Well maybe because she poked my gums more than necessary. Was kind of uncomfortable! They ran my insurance, didn't fully cover as would a normal cleaning but I went along w/it. The dentist came to check before the cleaning, she barely talked to me, I complained to her that measuring I believed was not done properly. She told me that was normal. I didn't get that comfort and welcoming like many family dentist do when they first meet you. I felt like a number! I was listening to conversations and felt like they were pushing services to clients too! My husband went in next. 30min later he walks out. He chose not get anything done there. Going to get a second opinion w/ old dentist in Johns Creek. He felt the same way as I did and I didn't tell a thing about my experience prior. Second opinion results? He didn't need all the extras of what he was told here.

Great office! Staff is nice and friendly, Dentist is very efficient, Professional and does great work. I recently had a temporary crown put on and it fell off after 3 weeks ( like it should). It just so happens that they got my permanent one in that morning and I was in and out before my wife could finish grocery shopping (40min). All without an appointment on a busy day, Best dentist I have ever had.

The Doctor and staff at this practice are fantastic. The doctor always makes sure everything she is doing is clear and answers any questions you may have about procedures being done. The front desk and all other staff are extremely friendly and effecient and include you in any conversation they may have while working on your needs. Not stuffy or overly sanatized. Warm and a feeling of family. I would say each appointment was as close to enjoyable as you can get while someone is poking, prodding and drilling in your mouth. They are extremely observant of any sign of distress or pain and are quick to remedy. I highly recommend this practice and do so now anytime people mention needing a dentist. Make an appointment; you won't regret it!

Nice and friendly staff they ask you if you are good multiple times to make sure you are not in pain. However opening my tooth after taking multiple xrays and then packing it because you did not know it needed a root canal is not okay. Sending someone home like that should not be an option . I have been in pain since my visit and was not experiencing any pain prior to my visit. They did not perscribe me anything for pain and did not inform me that i would most likely be in pain later. I have scheduled the needed root canal but now have to deal with the pain until then.

Only giving two stars to leave room for giving their neighbors Aspen even less. Literally everything I’ve had done by Dawson I’ve had to have redone within 5 years. A filling on tooth 30 that has now resulted in a root canal due to “leaking” and a ruthless tooth ache. A crown on a top left molar that fell out before I even made it home same day and now less than 5 years later has fallen apart. This coming after having to water pick just about every time I eat due to the fitting and food getting wedged in between. If it weren’t for the service of the hygienist and even worst service across the street, I wouldn’t recommend at all.
