My Dentist, Dr. Brooks, while I don't see him very often (that's a good thing, :)...) has excellent chair-side manner, he's friendly and engaging and seems to know his stuff. I came back in with an abscess they gave me antibiotics and something for pain. I was then told that I would have to wait a week for the abscess to settle down before the extract the tooth. On the day of the extraction I was quite nervous and I let them know. After telling them I was nervous the doctor told me I had to see a dental surgeon. I just wanted the tooth out. Still not sure what the problem was. Feel like I was pawned off on some other person to deal with. Now I have to wait for a month before I can get any work done and the dentist won’t even do the job because I said I was nervous. I would not recommend this dentist. Very frustrating and still in pain over something that should have been done days ago.

I commute often between Vancouver and Chilliwack. When I was in Vancouver I had a denture molding done at the Willow Dental Care West end office. The following week I was in Abbotsford so Willow Dental Care was kind enough to make an appointment for me at the Garrison office in Chilliwack for the actual denture fitting to be done. This was closer and more convenient. I didn't have to wait and the fitting was done perfectly. I am really happy with the denture. Thank you.

Horrible! Took my young daughter here once, the dentist was impatient and unprofessional right away, didn't take time to talk with my daughter or prepare her to learn about what they were doing with her. Then he and his assistant asked me to leave but i felt as a parent in my case I would stay. they argued and then began gossiping amongst other admin and staff, glaring at me and whispering back and forth even laughing between them while looking at me, when said I'd wait in the hall nearby. Unknowingly he put a freezing needle right thru my daughters cheek, she cried and yelled! ..he threw the Utensil! Then told my girl to 'shut up you're being stupid'. Then he pushed himself away from her, got up and walked off saying 'get her out of here'. We were mortified and dumbfounded by this. My daughter had what looked like a bee sting for 4 days and she's had nightmares about it. my daughter breaks down crying when we even remotely discuss a possible trip to a dentist. It's been very difficult to recover her from this and for her to trust any dentist! Please dont reply. I find the responses have been patronizing & dismissive to the unpleasant reviews which makes these negative experiences worse!

I would like to comment on the orthodontic care my son has received thus far at Willow Dental in Garrison. While the staff and even Dr. Melnyk are pleasant enough, it was not openly disclosed to us that Dr. Melnyk is not a true orthodontist by the medical definition. Meaning, he has not been trained or gone to school to be called an "orthodontist". Thinking back, nobody called him that, but we assumed he was since he was getting our son ready for his spacers and future orthodontic work like braces. We were sent by him to see an oral surgeon because it was Dr. Melnyk's opinion that my son had crowding. My son then went on to have 12 teeth removed (he had just turned 11) at one time at SMH Pediatrics. I thought - WHAT?! 12?! Naturally we were concerned about that, but it all ended up being ok and he recovered. My family attends the other Willow Dental Clinic on the other side of town and we were referred to the Garrison Clinic for "orthodontics". It should be made very very clear that the Garrison Clinic does not have a certified orthodontist working there. When I phoned another orthodontist in town, I surprisingly learned that there is several years of training to be an orthodontist and Dr. Melnyk has not had that type of training. I was informed by a few offices now that it is not something that is disclosed properly and explained properly to the parents or anyone getting orthodontic work that they are attending a clinic that does not have a certified and qualified orthodontist doing the work. I was very shocked to learn this! My son had some appliances placed on the top and bottom to keep space open for his adult teeth to come in and then further work done after that. The bottom appliance has come out now for the second time! It has been quite a fiasco to say the least. The first time it fell out, my son did not get it placed back in for 2 months after!! The reason? We were told that he had the flu and would not be back until then so my son had to wait ALL that time to get the appliance back in! It has fallen out again and I'm really hoping it doesn't take that long again. Ridiculous! I am also going to call the office of another orthodontist to ask if they can put it back in. I want to warn others about this. I don't even know that your extended health should be covering this service because legally he is not a certified "orthodontist"! When I asked the staff about his credentials, after the problems arose with the appliance falling out, they told me in a low voice that "he is not an orthodontist, but has several years of orthodontic experience". Beware beware beware! I'm disgusted.

Such a friendly, accommodating and professional group! Having had extensive dental work over the years, admittedly I am not a fan of dentists at the best of times, but Dr. Brooks and his staff are kind, humorous and gentle in their approach, and make me feel quite relaxed whether it is for a cleaning, filling, crown replacement or otherwise. So as much as I would rather avoid dentists at all costs, I keep going back to this great group, and I am grateful for their care.

Horrible dentist. Dr Brooks talks so fast you don’t even get to answer before he leaves the room. Makes you feel welcome you first visit then after that he’s rude and careless. Got a bit of work done here, and every single filling Dr Brooks did, was broken within a week. Had to get them all fixed. After going in there to ask what the he’ll kinda work he did, he REFUSED to talk to me. Sent his assistant in instead. Then a few weeks later I get a bill saying they billed me wrong and I owe more. Horrible place!! I’d give 0 stars if I could!

This is the only dentist I’ve ever had who has put a needle into my mouth where I’ve not actually felt it! I had visited you dental office a week ago with problem and I was taken in and had a x-ray taken. It showed that I was in a flare up of a tooth and bone loss. I found Doctor Brooks, very professional, and he took the time to assess me and then he listens to my thoughts. I am a single mom and funds are always an issue but I always take our dental care very seriously . I had previously been quoted 1000s of dollars at another office I went for a second opinion so glad I did been going to Dr Brooks for just over 2 years . He helped me with the most immediate needs and plan for how to get the rest of the work done . He was kind and understood my budget and set a great plan to get me through . He has a lot of dental experience and I felt like that helped him be honest with what I actually needed instead of making extra work that was unnecessary He is great with my daughter as well. When she was 2 she got a free dental check up which was basically a chair ride and a tour ! This really helped her not be scared or anxious ! I highly recommend doing this even a couple times so the dentist is not a scary place ! She is now almost 5 and loves going to the dentist and getting her “prize “ for being a good patient I am so happy with Dr Brooks and his staff . Highly highly recommend

I'm writing this review specifically for how this dental office treats my kids. My 3 and 8 year old recently had their check ups, and I am loaded with anxiety with how they'll be treated, if they'll be uncomfortable, or if they'll develop fears over going to the dentist. I have to admit, my kids LOVE going to the dentist. They are treated with sunglasses, ear buds, and are reclined into their chairs to watch cartoons as the amazing staff cleans and polishes their teeth. They leave Willow Dental with their treat from the treasure box and a new toothbrush and paste. I can't recommend them enough! On an additional note, my oldest had a few cavities and he had nitrous oxide gas via his nose, making his entire procedure PAINLESS! Again, AMAZING!

Watch your bill everyone. This group charged me for work they didn't do. When asked if they could put a filling back in my kids tooth, they wanted to send us to a specialist and said no they couldn't help us. They took x-rays but weren't even looking at them and charged me anyways. Also, they billed for freezing which they never did. I sat there the whole time with my son and they did not such thing. The ladies at the front desk, the hygenists and the dentist were all so kind and compassionate. They made this experience absolutely incredible for my girls and changed their views on the dentist. I was shocked at the unsanitary conditions of the facility . They asked me to sit in a dirty chair that had someone else's saliva on it, and told me I could put my keys on the counter with the tools that had been in someone mouth that hadn't yet been cleaned. I will NEVER go back to this dentist.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Willow Dental Garrison. I am a very nervous person when it comes to the dentist. Was I every pleasantly surprised. Right from the beginning I was amazed with the whole appointment. The girls in the front where friendly and knowledgeable. They greeted me with a smile and then helped me to understand my insurance which is super tricky. I was then brought into the room by one of the Hygienists and she again exceeded my expectations. Friendly, gentle, Dr Brooks came in and checked over all of my teeth and made me feel important. He took the time to explain my mouth to me and made the work I needed seem like it would be easy. My children where being seen at the same time and the girls who helped them out came in to talk to me and explain how their appointment went, We all walked out with BIG Smiles on our faces and the kids asked when they can go back again. I highly recommend this office to any one who wants amazing care with a smile. We will be back and will be telling friends about them. Was very upset with my service. I had gone in to get a Molar extracted. When I left I had not been made aware of any possible complications, following the procedure my wisdom tooth had shifted and moved to the point of digging into my jaw and cheek. After going back to have it looked at, they had told me “it was not the wisdom tooth, it’s just dry socket” when my cheek and jaw were raw from contact with my tooth. I had gone to another dentist recently and they agreed it was my wisdom tooth and was sent to emergency dental surgery to have it removed. Also during my extraction the doctor was using the mirror tool to clean and scratch the inside of his ear, which I found to be disgusting and unprofessional.

We are New to the Chilliwack area and we were referred to Dr. Brooks by a friend who lives here. We are a family of four and have all had a very good experience. I would not recomend this dentistry. I had a chip in my tooth and went in to get my options, they filled it without notifying me of adverse effects. 2 years later I proceeded to chip my tooth on my filling, removing the filling, and part of the bottom eye tooth aswell, as I believe due to poor position, allthough they told me there's no proof. When I went in, they fixed the bottom tooth. Unaware of how fillings work, when they started to buffer my tooth without my knowledge, I raised my hand as I didn't know why they were. I even began waving it frantically, but the hygienist continued anyway. I asked them if this would have any effect on enamel, and they said no. Recently I talked to the receptionist, who told me it did remove enamel. At this point I felt like I trusted them too much, and my top eye tooth which is missing its filling, is now sensitive, and never was when the chip first happened. Their biggest problem is not listening to their customers, and most importantly disclosing information about procedures. Would not recomend to anyone, especially young kids or old patients, as they are in it for the money more then they would ever come close to admiting.

I hate the bs of going to a new dentist and setting everything up insurance wise,but the staff here made it very painless to get all things transferred and set up . I am a single dad with 2 kids whom didn''t like the dentist a whole lot. We are lucky to have found Doctor Brooks and his staff. He spent time explaining the plan for my teeth that i unfortunately have neglected over the years . Assistant dental and office rule very not accommodating. My little girl 6 years old had to have a cavity fix. I was told that I was not allowed to stay with my daughter and that its office rule. I objected as I am there for support my child, holding her hand and to reassure her that all will be ok. She refuse and even dare telling me at the front of my daughter that I was not as a parent doing my daughter any favour by staying with her and that it teach my daughter to not be grown up. I reply that she is not to tell me how to parent my child. The dentist never bother to come and talk to me so I walk out with my daughter and will find other dentist that are much more professional and nurturing when it come to children. Will never go back and people that have children should stay clear and away from this place.

I found Willow Dental after I got totally screwed over by my last dentist. I was told I had a “deep cavity” that needing fixing. So I booked an appointment with Willow, and they were able to get me in within a few days, when I arrived the staff were super friendly and courteous. The office was nice and comfortable, and they even had a TV on the ceiling so I could watch TV during the process. I was offered the remote to change the channel as well. I met with Dr.Leos who stated my teeth looked like they were in great shape and I had no cavities (part of the horrible experience from the last dental office). They could have easily said I needed the work done, but they were honest! They also took the time to start my file, add all my insurances, and then book in my whole family! Amazing first experience.

Coming from the city where you may to wait weeks if not months to same day appointments for a simple problem has been super refreshing. They're quick to fit you in if needed. The staff are polite and make you feel comfortable everytime! Who loves the dentist anyways? The dentists are just as great! Love this dentist office and highly recommend them to anyone.

My family of 6 and I have used this dental office for 7 years. In the last few years things have deteriorated rapidly. My young children and I were disrespected in too many ways to list. Some of the work we had done will now have to be corrected at the new dental office we are going to. THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Prompt, personable, professional. Dental care with a focus on care. Care with making the appointment, care with the gentle reminders. Care with the procedures. Prompt in that the wait time is always short but there is free coffee available. Everyone is so friendly and considerate. Twice I needed to get in quickly due to a broken tooth which can trigger these severe headaches. Both times they either got me in either at the end of the day or early the next day. Very flexible and I know that staff stayed late with the one problem - that is care.

Dr Brook doesn't finish what he starts! Won't listen to what his patient feels! Just money hungry! Was in last week for xray feeling his tooth was not right it felt cracked. Said tooth was fine sent home with a pick. Charged money again. Few day later tooth cracks as we felt. Called Dr Brook wants to send him to another Dr instead of fixing it! Such run around ! So upset and dissapointed!

Excellent service from the front office staff to the hygienists to the Dr. I initially came to the clinic a few years ago after having split one tooth and chipping a few more. The Dr. was able to repair the teeth, and I have wonderful service every time I return for cleaning. Professionals all around. They are also very cautious with COVID protocols, which puts me at ease.

I had a great experience with them. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They also were organized so all my paper work was ready to go when I showed up, so there was no waiting around. I was really happy with their care and they were legitimately concerned that I was pain free when my wisdom teeth were pulled. I will absolutely recommend them to everyone I know.

My son fell and knocked his two front teeth while playing on some bleachers. Our own dentist couldn’t take us and we called many other dentists in chilliwack. However Willow Dental Care Garrison took us right away. The reception staff was so kind and friendly they helped console my 4 year old while I was trying to fill out the intake forms. The dental hygienists were also amazing! They made my son smile even while he was crying. The dentist himself was very professional and very warm. We are switching dentist because of this experience. The staff is amazing! I don’t have enough nice things to say!
