I've been coming here ever since my now retired dentist went into partnership with DRs Bernardi & Cantwell. Bernardi has a great bedside manner, and Cantwell isn't afraid to give you s**t when you need it — it's for your own good. The ladies behind the counter are also great; I've kinda had a little crush on all of them for years, but they're all taken. HA!

I found this dental office to be very understanding and kind. My 4 year old likes going. I had a dentist for myself and a different one for my daughter and both of them where very kind and willing to make you feel comfortable. The front staff was very professional and helpful. If you have kids or just uneasy about dentists go to this office and you will be treated far and kindly. They have moved, they are on the corner of Baldoon and McNaughton.

Dr. Cantwell is awesome. I called the other day with severe pain. I got in right away and because of past experiences with root canals he sent me to a specialist. He gave me a long acting freezing to keep me comfortable and told me if needed to come back before my appointment. I was seen within a couple of days and have no pain what so ever. I'm ever so happy to have such a wonderful Dentist taking care of my family

This was the worst service i have everrrr experienced in my life!!! I was sent here from Windsor..my Moms English isn’t the best, she can communicate and she can read!! ..she took the day off work, she was sent here from her dentist office in Windsor.. she had to get her papers translated so she used google translate..she had 3 papers and needed assistance with the last one.. The receptionist told her(in the rudest way!!) she could not translate thru her phone.. she told her to to back to Windsor and bring someone. Is that receptionist paying her bills? To take two days off work?? She brought me in the next day to come help her translate. Im 19, in college, and asked if I was her daughter (as if we were lying).. and said read the papers out loud. Sooo twice my mom had to take two days off and drive to Chatham because the receptionist didn’t want to help her read it. My mom speaks English and can read.. it was a few words she didn’t understand.. she walks into see the doctor and explains what happened with the receptionist and he didn’t even care!! No reaction!! What the hell kinda business is that!?? Two receptionist, no heart, no care in the world that they made us go and come twice, didn’t want to help with the papers! RUDEEEEE!!! I know this won’t make a difference for new patients but I really wish I could do more besides this negative review! Where’s the customer care!??

Dr. E. Tong, is the finest dental surgeon I have ever come across. He is professional, caring, meticulous, insightful, knowledgeable, talented, as well as compassionate. After completing some dental surgery on me, he asked that I call the next day to let him and the Heritage Dental staff know how I was doing. No dentist has ever completed follow up like that in my 57 years of life on this earth. I would highly recommend this dentist as well as the wonderful staff at Heritage Dental. The dental assistants as well as the receptionists/secretaries are also very warmhearted, professional, and caring. I have had some contact with another dentist in this same office and he also showed himself to be a talented, discerning, apprised, and compassionate dentist, sharing in detail what he was doing, as well as offering a variable of options for treatment. I'm fairly new to Chatham and have had negative dentistry experiences before finding Heritage Dental. The staff here are professional, efficient and just phenomenal at what they do. A special thanks to Lourdes for her patience and care as well as Dr. Cantwell for taking in a new patient (especially during Covid). I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. (Waited a few visits before posting and each experience was exceptional)

I have been a patient of Heritage Dental since it's opening; during this time I have received excellent dental care. The friendly, caring, knowledgeable staff have provided exceptional care whether it's a regular routine check up or a dental emergency. During my last visit I thanked my hygienist for one of her recommendations regarding dental flossing. After my dental cleaning she noticed that my gums where far healthier and had much less plaque buildup than I had during my previous visit. I would highly recommend Heritage Dental to anyone who wants to receive excellent service provided by friendly staff

Thank you for immediate appointment(s) on Monday for root canal beginnings....and dealing w infection....sorry to other patients that were delayed....but pls know though what it means is....as their patient....they look after us....what we need when we need it....1 3/4 hrs in chair second visit....and then again today....they made time for me....and stayed with it much longer than estimated to get the job done and reduce my pain....

I'm from out of town and broke a tooth. I found Heritage Dental online and arrived when they opened the following morning. The understanding and caring staff were phenomenal. With some patient juggling, they got me an appointment that afternoon. The tooth had to be extracted and the whole process including a denture took less than 48 hour. I can't praise the staff and doctors enough. What a fabulous service they provide for the people of Chatham.

I live in Sarnia and my dentist referred me to Dr. Bernardi in Chatham for my 4 year old daughter, who needed root canals and silver caps. My dentist tried to do the fillings with laughing gas, but my daughter just was not comfortable with the procedure, even under the gas, as she didn't like the sounds or water. They referred me Chatham as we were referred to another office in Sarnia for 'full' sedation. To my surprise, nobody in Sarnia actually puts kids to "sleep"...they only do a drink, which we tried at another office which offered "sleep dentistry" and it didn't work. The anesthesiologist in Chatham put my daughter to sleep, and after 3 hours completed all the work. I was so happy that I didn't mind driving for an hour. Keep in mind, we were on a waiting list for 4 months at their office. The did call us after 3 months, as someone cancelled. The closest office the put kids to sleep was Toronto, and they had a 9 month waiting list and I'm sure with the travel and hotel would have cost much more. Thank you staff at Heritage for seeing my daughter, it's very much appreciated!!

I've been going there for over 20 years, Dr. Bernardi and Dr. Cantwell are both great ! I've seen them both and have always had postive experiences. Lourdes who cleans my teeth is adorable (I actually look forward to my cleanings just to see her). She is so gentle I almost fell asleep my last cleaning. The receptionist are all friendly and so accommodating, many have worked there as far back as I can remember. Heritage dental and it's staff gets 5 stars from me if I could I'd give them 10 !!????

My wife and I have been a patient at Herritage Dental for almost 20 years now and the entire team is totally awesome. We have only positive things to say and could go on and on. They have dealt with many an emergency situations and have never been too busy that they could not see us immediately when the need arises. The office is well run and is totally Covid-19 protected which is extremely important these days.
