I brought my child and the hygienist I had was very friendly as well. Going to the dental office was never like this before, I actually now LIKE going to the dentist. It doesn't seem like a chore. My son who has had bad experiences with dentists in the past has no problem with the dentist there, he is very caring and patient with my son. Last month I needed a wisdom tooth urgently extracted. The staff were amazing in getting me, booked, in and out like clockwork. The front staff, especially Diwani greeted me with such care. Even met the new young lady Annie who had such a cheerful smile. The nurse (Linda?) was very calming along with Dr Barkas and his wonderful bedside manner! I was petrified of sedation but even more so to have the tooth extracted. Well done staff! They even called to check up on me yesterday. This office never disappoints. I can proudly say that I look forward to going to the dentist because it's Dawson Cambridge - and NO , I'm not medicated right now. Great job everyone! See you next time.

Dawson Dental in Ontario Canada.They did the same thing to my husband and I. We told them we have not been to the dentist in some time and to treat it as such. We went for the free consultation only to be x rayed and charged roughly 400 dollars. They have taken over 1000 dollars out of our pockets and when confronted about the charges there isn't a clear explanation. The whole staff seems to be unhelpful and very clueless. I had fillings done to a few of my teeth only to find they were not buffed right so my teeth felt rough like I had rubbed sand on them. They also didnt tell me that they had to call a "specialist" to pull a tooth and charged me more money. Dawson Dental is a terrible dentist and if you value your money DO NOT GO. Many positive reviews are just lures made by the staff themselves. Thanks Dawson Dental for taking advantage of new customers.

I just had the most incredible experience with a temp hygienist here by the name of Sikin! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had in my life!! She warned me it would be uncomfortable but that she was going to do a very deep clean and she gave topical numbing to help as best she could. My teeth haven’t looked this good in quite some time. My only question is to Dawson Dental North in Guelph…can you please hire on this woman in a full time capacity?? She is a rare gem and your team could only benefit from her fastidious attention to detail and the needs of her clients.

Jess had her challenges with me back then but stayed supportive and helped me overcome my uneasiness back then. Not kid friendly at all. Took my 3 1/2 year old just for a quick check up and to get him use to the experience of going to the dentist. It was a horrible first experience for him. My son was visibly nervous and unsure. The male dentist came in and was pressuring him right away to get started. After 1 or 2 minutes he told me to rebook later when he's older and left. As I was putting my sons jacket on I was reassure him, the male dentist came back and was rushing us leave the room. I will be looking for a new dentist office for our whole family.

I recently had my wisdom teeth extraction done by Dr. Barkin. The team was very polite and accommodating from the get go. The ladies on the desk are very friendly to their clients. Thanks to Asha who worked around the schedule in order to fit me in for the removal of my sutures. And also thank you to the lady who helped me calling my insurance company (I’m sorry I didn’t see your name badge clearly, I guess I was so anxious that day for my oral surgery). I have received a couple of confirmation calls and they even checked in on me the day after my surgery. Overall, it was a nice and smooth experience. Dr Zaid destroyed my healthy tooth. He told me that one of my teeth got cavity and needs filling. But I refused to get the filling done because I had never felt any pain there. He kept insisting for filling and finally I agreed. He was very unprofessional and confused. It took him more than 1 hour for that filling. Right after he was done filling, my that tooth started hurting and got very sensitive. Its now been 4 months since that filling but my that tooth still hurts and is super sensitive. I will never go to Cambridge Dawson again in my life

MY MOM HAD HER LIFE RISKED DUE TO MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE!!! My mom had an exposed root because of her tooth decay was in an excruciating amount of pain, she hadn't slept for 24 hours and the dentist said he couldn't give her her required pain meds. She had to go to the emergency room while on antibiotics during a pandemic, where she was immediately given what she needed and the doctor told us, there's no reason the dentist could have not just given her the pain meds. My immunocompromised mother had to risk her life to get necessary pain medication due to your medical negligence The doctor was horrified learning of the medical negligence that let to my mother putting her life at risk and he wanted her out of there ASAP, One of your patients had their lives risked due to your medical negligence

Fantastic service! I called this morning because a piece of my permanent retainer broke off and I needed someone to fix it asap. I called 3 other places before someone referred me to Dawson Dental. First of all, it's barely 1pm and I'm already home and my problem is fixed - that was so incredibly fast! Secondly, the staff was AMAZING! Reception, the admins, the hygienist, and the dentist were all SO welcoming, and friendly, and kind and just so overall pleasant. I have bad anxiety and I felt so completely at ease here. I don't even know what to say, I was just so beyond blown away by how lovely everyone was here. So accommodating, so helpful, so understanding! Thirdly, the office was immaculate. It was so clean and pristine! So bright and elegant! I felt like a VIP in the waiting room and was so comfortable in the exam room! They even had a TV mounted to the ceiling, which was awesome, because I had something to focus on that wasn't ceiling tiles, haha. Overall I'm very impressed and blown away, and I will definitely be coming back!

I would not recommend ever going to this office, they do unnecessary work. They replace filling that don't need to be and don't tell you or give you an invoice letting you know your balance until your over your insurance limit yet keep replacing filings until they finally send you a $1747.69 bill and ask when your going to pay, I told them when I first went there not to do any work that wasn't covered because I couldn't afford to pay them because didn't have a job I was in College yet they did anyway. I could understand a couple hundred dollars for something necessary but over 1700 for replacing silver filings with white ones just shouldn't of happened not when i was upfront with my situation.

Work was acceptable, but can't believe the overcharging, disorganization of the billing. Ridiculous! They forgot to submit to my insurance, submitted more than once, didn't bother to submit requested x-rays or other supporting documents and expected me to pay out of pocket when my benefits should have more than covered any expenses. They continued to book appointments, continued to allow charges to add up without informing me about any issues with the benefits. After speaking to them on the phone, getting a verbal apology and blaming other staff members for the mistakes, I am still dealing with charges from 7 MONTHS AGO! I was charged a $50 short notice cancellation for a medical emergency. Wow. Definitely would NOT recommend this place unless you have a lot of time to waste and need a few extra headaches in your life.

I went here a few years ago for a cleaning and xrays. I received the surprising news that I had 8 small cavities and a quote for $1200 to fix them. I waited 6 months and went to another dentist and I magically had zero cavities. I've been to 4 more dentists since then and I still have zero cavities. This dentist was going to charge me $1200 and drill holes on my teeth for no reason. I wouldn't trust this dentist if you don't have benifits throug work

No problems with my dentist but since he moved to this Dawson office I have had numerous issues with their Administration. These have included benefits claims sent to the wrong company, paid claims not being logged as paid, even turned up for a scheduled appointment and found the office closed. Staff are apologetic but the problems continue. We never had issues like this with our previous dental office. Enough of this, I am now switching elsewhere.

My name is Bryan Soliman and my testimony is a true story, an amazing journey, and experience. I started my journey looking for an option after I was about to lose my front-teeth with no real solution to make me happy and gain my normal look again. I went through several free consultations to create a customized plan to meet my exact needs. It was critical for me because the mobility of my front-teeth was almost 60% and also impacted the way I looked, smiled and the ability to grab a bite with my front teeth. I had the follow-up sessions with Dr. Gelfand to ensure the procedure was going as planned, and no issues with the dental procedure. After 8 months, I was ready to have the permanent teeth done after a successful bone graft and implant procedure completed, and I was very impressed with the new look and feel of the permanent front-teeth I finally had. I had no pain during and after the operation, and Dr. Edward completed the roadmap for me with full confidence and assurance all the way until I had my permanent teeth. I was so impressed with the treatment after all, and I wouldn’t have better results anywhere else. My story is a proven result that Dr. Gelfand is the one of a genius dental expert who you can trust and follow his lead to bring you to the level of confidence you wanted to be. Learned of Dawson Dental over a Google search, being new to the Cambridge area. I chose Dawson Dental, they were friendly and helpful each time I visited. The location is clean, modern and welcoming. My first impression was very positive. Everything was going well until I was overcharged - after getting that rectified, I find out nearly a year later that the behaviour continued. I had to chase this issue down. I feel really bummed about it because it seemed to be going so well, then they break my trust by overcharging me not once, not twice, but multiple times. I am so happy with the service I received at Dawson Dental yesterday! I haven’t been to the dentist for a while because I didn’t have benefits, the pandemic and I had a negative experience at my previous dental office. I finally booked an appointment after researching dental offices and finally decided on Dawson dental because of their quick replies (emails and text messages) and kind and knowledgeable employees. The dental assistant who did all my x rays was phenomenal! She made me feel at ease and explained things to me. I have been to 2 dentists prior to Dawson Dental and have never had such a comprehensive dental exam. It makes me feel confident that my entire oral health was being looked at. My dentist listened to all my concerns and gave me advice. I recently noticed I had a loose tooth and was in need of a Dentist. Not being from this area I searched and called Dawson Dental on Dawson Ave. My first appointment noted the tooth was cracked and must be removed. Then came the day of removal. I must say in all the years I have seen a Dentist (I am a senior) I have never undergone a procedure in more comfort. Both during the removal and afterwards. Received instructions for when I left and have had no pain at all. First class. I must thank Dr. Nassim, the stall I met, especially Ruth and Jennifer. It's amazing! I love it. I loved Chole filling my front teeth becauae she was so gentle. And i don't remember the asian girl's name but ahe was super sweet as well! And they have viberating Chairs There that you could click on were you want it too massage you. And also chole had too have been my Fav there! Started going here based on a recommendation and had a couple visits that were alright. No cavities, a few things to keep an eye on, fairly normal stuff. Wasn’t till my most recently visit that was a complete sales pitch and interrogation of the hygienist and dentist. They told me I had 14 cavities and old fillings that needed attention. The entire visit was a complete turn off and I didn’t feel quite right about it. Went somewhere else for a second opinion sometime later and was told that I had 2 cavities that needed attention and that were no issues with any of my existing fillings. For that, I will not be returning here or recommending Dawson Dental to anyone.

Atmosphere is very inviting and starts as soon as you walk through the doors. The girls at the front are very friendly and always smiling. They know you buy name and always accommodating. Shannon the manager is approachable and always willing to fill in where needed and takes the time for a quick little chat. Disappointed. I started with Dawson a couple years ago and quickly realized that they have no respect for me or my time. 2 times I had emergencies (cracked teeth) and 2 times I had to find an alternate dentist office as the dentist at Dawson wasn’t available. I always booked the first appointment in the morning for cleanings so I can get to work on time. Every time, they would take me in late. The last visit, the hygienist actually took someone in ahead of my 8am apt to give her whitening trays and I wasn’t taken in for 25 mins after my apt time. The front end staff was inept at billing and was never able to submit with my insurance correctly so I just started paying by MC. After the last late apt, over a year ago, I decided to find a new dentist. Almost 1 year after my last apt, I find an email in my junk mail saying my account was overdue and would be sent to collections. Not once did they pick up the phone and call me at work, home or my cell or send me an invoice at my residence. After trying to figure out how I could have an overdue account when I always paid in full by MC, I realized that instead of charging my MC the total amount of my visit, again the inept front end staff charged my MC only a small portion leaving an outstanding balance. I brought their error to their attention and sent a cheque for the balance owing only to discover, they sent my account to collections anyway. I now am getting harassing calls at work. Really great customer service. Late appointments, no available dentist when you need one and now this mess all for $110 bucks. Maybe I should have kept my money for the hassles and wasted time they caused me. Thanks Dawnson for nothing, glad I switched offices.

She did an amazing job. Unfortunately, I was told I need braces, but the dentist was friendly about it. He gave me a tip about brushing my teeth too. I am very happy to have made my first appointment with this dentist and I’m happy that the problems with my teeth will be taken care of.

My daughter went to another dentist to get some fillings done. She had such a horrible experience there that she refused to go again and they were not able to get all the work done. Yesterday, I took her to dawson dental in cambridge and she was very nervous, she started crying when we went inside. The staff here were amazing and very friendly. When we went back to the room both the dental hygienist and the dentist were very good with consulting my daughter about what they wanted to do and if she said no (which she did, to some aspects) they respected that and didnt do it. They did only exactly what they said they were going to do and only what she was comfortable with and agreed to (which was not the case with her previous experience at another dental office). So I want to thank you all for making what was a terrifying thing for her, a pleasant experience. She has gained back a bit of trust in dentists now because of how she was treated at dawson.

I’ve been going here for a couple of years now and it’s always a good experience. They don’t make you feel bad about things like cavities, just make sure you know they are there to help you fix them. I don’t particularly like going to the dentist, it makes me anxious, but I know that I’m in good hands at Dawson Dental. Amazing service! I needed my wisdom teeth out ASAP and my previous dentist had more than a month wait. I contacted Dawson through their online form and within 5 minutes I had a response and an appointment set for two days later. They went above and beyond to get my into an appointment with the oral surgeon at the earliest date. Fortunately, there was a cancellation and I was able to get in less than a week after my consultation! I will definitely be staying with Dawson Dental! The friendliness of their staff makes dentist visits that much better!

Knowledgeable Dentist and Friendly Staff. Costs are mediocre but the clinic can accommodate patients by allowing monthly instalments. If you are planning to get braces/Invisalign after repairs (root canal, cavities, etc) then go see a specialist, an Orthodontist, either in house or at another practice. Do not let the staff or Dentist entice you. Their quote for braces/invisalign was expensive compared to other orthodontist clinics. While so, their dentist diagnosis for braces/invisalign was different from the orthodontist diagnosis. Staff do not properly address patient needs like providing a proper brochure (exact cost of treatment, timeline, coverages, their findings, treatment recommendations). Everything is verbal which is difficult to comprehend. Always ask questions and keep receipts. Get verbal agreements on paper.

I have been petrified of going to the dentist since youth. I had to have asleep surgery to have my work done the first trip to Dr. Gelfand. He and the staff were amazing! I have since had to have a root canal and only needed mild sedative. Dr. Gelfand is so good at his job and gentle that I have learned to relax and have further work with confidence .I can't say enough about the staff and the work Dr. Gelfand does. I highly recommend them .So glad I found them..

Had a great first visit. I have a terrible fear and major anxiety due to a traumatic experience as a teenager. I haven't seen a dentist sadly in over 20 years. I was surprised that I only had 3 teeth that needed to be tended to. And a good cleaning of course. Bit costly but you get what you pay for ( my own fault as I lacked to see a dentist in so long ) Dr. Gakhal was very caring and explained next steps etc. Would gladly recommend this office to anyone looking to get a dentist or change from their current dentist.
