We have been coming here for many years, now the whole family comes. I had a brief move out of country and while in the USA the dentist there was amazed at the wonderful dental work and commented "whoever did your dental work did an amazing job!" The staff are great and I appreciate Dr Orth's skills and he has never suggested work that is not needed and his work has lasted with excellent results. I have not been unhappy with any visit. My children are also very comfortable here and they started coming here when their dentist did work that failed in 24 hrs - came here to get it fixed and it's held now for 4 years - Dr Orth knew immediately what they did wrong and what to do to fix it, in and out quickly! A+++

Not recommended! I am a very easy patient, no cavities, no major procedures, just annual checkups and cleaning every 6 months or so, until I decided to get Invisalign. My teeth were Okay but I wanted them to look perfect and Dr. Kim recommended me to get Invisalign. I had all my wisdom teeth and I didn’t want to remove them as I have space, so I asked him about them and if the treatment would work with these wisdom teeth present, he said yes, no problem and no need to extract them, we started the treatment in January 2021, I was recommended 10 trays initially so treatment was going to last about 5 months. After the 2nd tray my bite was completely off, I only had contact on one side of my mouth and the contact was only between the 2 wisdom teeth on that side (left side), I told him about it and in the subsequent appointments he tried to smooth the surface of the wisdom teeth to facilitate the bite but this never fixed the situation, the more I used the tray the more my bite was off. By the time I finished with the 10th tray he said that I should remove those wisdom teeth as now my bite is super off and to fix it, they need to be removed! So, I said, I asked you at the beginning of the treatment, and you said it was not necessary and now you’re saying that it is necessary? Like seriously, I asked him before and when I told him that, he said that he would never say that to me and that it was probably his son, so he blamed it onto HIS SON! Unbelievable, I was so upset the way he handled things that I looked for other Doctors opinion, I went to 3 different Doctors, and they all said that I should have removed those teeth BEFORE the treatment or at least get the Invisalign to cover the wisdom teeth too, and that was not my case. Dr. Kim did not take well that I went to see other Doctors, he was calm but visible uncomfortable, so I just told him that I was going to get my wisdom teeth extracted and that I was going to call again to book follow up appointments, which I never did, obviously, I switched to an orthodontist to continue my treatment. On top of that, he was seeing me every 4-5 weeks to monitor the Invisalign but at the end of tray 9 I booked a cleaning appointment, one week after he saw me for the regular monitoring, so in that cleaning appointment he came and talk to me about how things were but didn’t even check my mouth and they charged me for an exam, about $67 or so, and when I complained to the receptionist she said that he did a different exam so that was the extra charge, I told her that he didn’t even check my mouth, that we just talked and that he saw me the week before, so the receptionist had to talk to him about it and he didn’t charge me at the end. Honestly, I felt that he is probably close to retirement and didn’t put any effort and treated me poorly, but for charging all the fees they were very diligent to do so, I would not recommend him for anything, specially when he is willing to blame his song for his lack of professionalism.

Amazing place, highly recommend!!! I had my first appointment with Dr. Keaton Colville for the diagnosis and that time I realised that this is my dental doctor for ages. He is very respectful and gentle while doing his job. My husband and I are very satisfied with the service! And recommend this clinic to all our friends if they are looking for a dental. With all this great service, they also recently gave me a nicest present for referral, and they were also doing a draw for their patients and I got amazing and expensive electric toothbrush ???? They love and respect their clients! I just love coming in here, despite the fact that I don’t usually like going to dental office ????. Aaaand they have a massage chairs, that’s just unbelievable! This is the first dental place in my life with massage chairs. 100% go there.

Outstanding Dental clinic in Calgary! From the initial inquiry through to examination and the thorough explanation of my treatment plan, and the procedures, I experienced efficiency, kindness and professionalism of the highest degree from Dr Trent Orth and his fabulous team. I can say with all honesty that I am probably one of the worst and nervous dental patient in the world but my anxiety was managed, my treatment was gentle (yet very thorough) and was taken care of with consideration and respect. The friendliest, most professional father-son duo I have seen! Everybody is especially friendly. The environment is very clean and professional. I have been to many dentists (having lived in different major cities), and this one is bar-none the best. They make you feel so comfortable and are extra-patient with people like me who have a dreadful gag reflex. Corrina, in particular, is so patient and understanding. I don’t dread going to the dentist anymore. Also, the receptionists go over your insurance with you in plain English and are patient at answering questions. Both Dr. Orths are warm doctors who create a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kim Orth for more than 30 years. He does an excellent job explaining treatment plans and the best options for me. I’ve had a number of issues with my bite and tmj. He’s helped me to correct and improve these issues over the years. I’ve also seen his son, Dr. Trent Orth a number of times now for regular visits and a complicated filling. He practices with the same level of gentleness, expert knowledge and friendliness I expect at this dental practice.

I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. I’m from Toronto and travelling in Calgary for work. I had my wisdom teeth removed about a week ago and forgot my dental syringe at home. I went into the dentist office asking to please purchase a dental syringe to spray my sockets clean. They wouldn’t give me one despite the excruciating pain I was in. They refused. They wouldn’t even ask a dentist. Here I am in supreme pain, and a small piece of plastic would have helped me and they preferred to not help me unless I paid them for an appointment. Pathetic. Sounds like the company wants to capitalize on their clients pain to make extra revenue.

Prior to coming to Core Dental it had been about 6 years since I had been to the dentist. My previous dentist left a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively and sometimes literally) with their coarse cleanings and by suggesting my teeth would rot out if I didn't floss daily. The made me feel bad and nervous about my oral health, to the point that I would have rather ignored it than deal with it. Shonna at the front desk could immediately tell I was nervous, and was very good at explaining the ins-and-outs of the office as well as how they would interact with my insurance company (as a young man I'm still somewhat shaky on dealing with insurers). Corrina cleaned my teeth, and within minutes of meeting her I knew this was going to be an excellent experience. She was gentle and explained to me what she was doing and why, in addition to explaining to me the nature of plaque and periodontal disease. Not only was I super happy with my clean, I felt better equipped to understand my oral health in relation to what actually goes on inside my own mouth. In hindsight I'm not surprised Dr. Trent Orth is so nice after interacting with his staff. He had a warm and calming presence, and it was clear his staff really enjoyed working with him. On the first visit to his office he was going to only do an assessment and imaging, but after seeing me he managed to find the time to fill three cavities so I wouldn't have to come back in a few weeks. Not only that, but the same night he called me personally to ensure I was happy and satisfied with the work he'd done. If you want quality dental care, performed by professionals who care, this is the dentist for you.

The front desk, dentists, and dental hygienists were all incredibly professional and kind! The dentist who helped me with my wisdom tooth somehow managed the extraction from beginning to end in 20 minutes while answering all of my questions and explaining the procedure in a non-rushed manner. Their receptionist even followed up to see how I was the next day. Going to the dentist is never a good experience but Core Dental made it one of the most pleasant visits I've ever had. Highly recommend them!

Dr Trent is one of a kind. I was a big venture to take on. I required essentially an entirely new smile, and to top it off, I had the worst anxiety and fear one could have. The Core dental is the best dentist I have had! I currently go to school in the United States and I went to a dentist here and they quoted me an obscene amount and told me I had a ton of cavities, after only looking at my teeth for less than 2 minutes. I waited until I was back in Calgary to go to see Dr.Trent. He spent a lot of time and was very thorough and told me I infact didn’t have any cavities and my teeth were in overall good condition. My biggest concern with dentists is them saying you have issues you don’t have and trying to get money out of you. That’s not what this dentist is like. They work with you whether you have dental insurance or not, they won’t say you need work done that you don’t in fact need. Their team is great as well! Corrina does my teeth cleaning and she’s gentle but thorough, and so very sweet! Will always come back to see them when I am in town.

Poor experience from the start. I went here for a simple soft acrylic night guard and was given a different harder acrylic product that didn’t fit properly, threw off my bite, and caused me lots of pain. After my third adjustment the dentist decided to file down one of my teeth (without telling me before hand) with the hopes that this would somehow make a faulty product work properly...? I tried to live with this product for as long as I could and then Covid hit and was unable to return the device within their “return window” because they were closed to the public. The night guard ended up breaking from being worn so thin from all the useless adjustments. I feel as though I deserve a refund for this poor service or at least for Core Dental to pay my orthodontist bills to correct my now displaced bite.

I’ve been going to Core Dental for quite a few years now and my Hygienist Shirley is fabulous and informative. Dr. Orth is also helpful and has NEVER tried to “rip me off”. I had some tooth pain and he looked and when he couldn’t find anything he was honest and said try sensodyne and see if that helps. It did, and I’ve been okay ever since. My husband has been ripped off at 3 other offices so it’s a big deal in our house. They also gave me a cheaper option for teeth whitening when I asked. LOVE CORE DENTAL!

I recently saw Dr. Trent Orth for a crown and multiple fillings. I had previously avoided the dentist for close to 10 years due to fear but Dr. Orth and his assistant were amazing at putting me at ease from the very beginning. He was also very understanding of my anxiety around having dental work done and completely non-judgemental! He worked on pretty much my whole mouth, replacing a lot of old fillings and putting a crown on an old root canal tooth. His work is great and I have had no issues since. Would definitely recommend him!
