Both Dr. Rakotchy and Dr. Goods are really good dentists. Their dentist assistants are friendly and calming and really good with explaining everything that's going to happen while the dentist is getting ready. I LOVE the adminstrative ladies, they are always a pleasure to talk to and set everything up. This office gives a great follow up and good service over all. They are very forthcoming with all the information we need to make a decision on what to do. They helped us figure out our dental plan as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I was naturally hesitant to leave my longtime dentist before my first appointment at 12th Avenue Dental. Those fears were quickly put to rest, as the friendly staff immediately made me feel very welcome. My hygienist Mallory was excellent, very thorough, gentle and provided me with some really helpful advice. Dr. Daryl was the icing on the cake, as he was very attentive and made sure to listen carefully to all of my questions and concerns. Highly recommend this office!!

Very disappointed with their services. I think they are not professional and I don’t advice anyone to go there. I had a crown relplaced on two teeth there and a decay removed on these teeth and I have issues and infection with these teeth again. I called them to let them know and they didn’t do anything and didn’t offer to fix their work!

Ive been going to 12 Avenue Dental ever since ive had teeth! They must be doing something right because ive never had a bad experience. The hygienists are like magical teeth wizards who work around in your mouth, you hardly feel a thing! Ive lived all over Alberta and ill always make the trip to 12th ave when i need a cleaning. Kinda sad that they got rid of the fish tank in the waiting room though... ????

I live in the South and it is definitely worth the drive. I've had a hard time finding a dentist that I actually trust. While the procedure is being done Daryl explains to you step by step as to what and why. I've been to many different dentists in the city and every time I went I felt like they just wanted to do a filling just because. I did not get that here. I went in because I needed two fillings repaired that I've only had for 3 years from my previous dentist. Everything was done well and in a timely manner and guess what? No extra cavities that needed to be done. I definitely recommend 12th avenue dental for all of your dental needs!

I'm only 28 years old and I had 9 teeth knocked out in an incident (3 bottom, 7 top). I was really worried about ending up with them looking awful, but Dr. Brandon Good was compassionate, kind and understanding. They worked with me to get all of my teeth fixed and today nobody can tell that I had any damage done unless I decide to tell them about it! I'm really grateful for 12th Avenue Dental and would reccemend them to my friends and family :)

After my last dentist who put me through an incredibly hellish experience, I was afraid to go again and had been putting it off longer than I should have. A coworker told me about Dr. Rakochey so I gave it a shot and am so very, very thankful to have found such a gem in this area! I wouldn't have all the work done that I needed in one appointment as I was very nervous still, but he was so professional and calm that I was able to relax, and his work was absolutely excellent! I'll be back for the last bit of work very soon without (too much) reservation. (...it takes time to get past the horrors of the past) ;)

I have been a less than regular patient of Dr. R's for the past 3 years. (My bad/negligence.) Daryl, like his father Ernest (who was my dentist eons ago) is a Class A Dentist. I truly appreciate the experience that Daryl brings to the chair and his understanding of "the tooth". Dr. R. has a great team that is willing to keep 5 and 2 year olds occupied while "Papa" spends 20 minutes in the chair. Professional and kind consideration typifies Dr. R's practice.

Brought my 11 year old son in for cleaning / check up. Staff did apparently not want me in with my child, I was told I could not be present for his X-rays. I understood, asked to be present for the remainder of the appt. I was not called in, but had to ask the front desk staff if could attend after 20 minutes. I was told 'there's very little room'. The office was actually completely empty otherwise, and there was plenty of space. I sat in for the remainder of the appointment, I simply wanted to support my son and be aware of any concerns. We were billed $298 for 3U of time plus X-rays and flouride, and were out the door in 45 mins exactly. I am disappointed that they did not want me to attend the appointment with a child who may or may not recall what is told to him during his cleaning. I believe what I asked for was reasonable. I don't know if I would have been able to see the X-rays and review all the details of his appointment if I wasin the waiting room!

This clinic is always very welcoming and helpful. The dentist is very clear and there isn’t upselling of un needed treatments. He was also very patient and kind with my preschooler who has sensory processing issues and needs a little extra care and time. He always leaves happy and I do as well. Hygienist Mallory is kind, knowledgeable and does a great job with both myself and son. We always go to her each visit!

We've been coming here for years and the dentist has been absolutely great. However I feel reception needs to inform parents over the phone that parents aren't allowed to go in while the service is being done. I understand why however this was very upsetting to hear last minute. Also I booked certain services and once we arrived, there was extra services added. Again this wasn't discussed with me nor did they inform the hygienist of the update/change. I had to ask and confirm what was being done, again upsetting. Every experience here has been great aside from this time.

First, Laura & Alex at reception are incredible to work with, immediately upon arrival I was greeted with kindness, if it wasn't for the Covid restrictions pertaining to masks, I would see the beautiful smiles along with their joyful personalities. Specifically, I have a huge shout out for Laura, aside from being a genuine and kind woman, Laura assisted me with my benefits, I was struggling on how to go about it as I had not done it before with AGA. Laura was very kind, she called them, instructed me on how to navigate the issues I was experiencing with AGA and how to request the information needed to process my claim. Laura was on the emails we would be sending back and forth, she called me if something was missing and she was a complete joy and delight to work with!!! Thank you sooo soooo very much Laura :) I couldn't of done it without your guidance. Dr. Daryl's assistant is CHI, was an absolute delight from the get go, she made me feel comfortable while sitting in the chair. Chi provided me with the necessary information I was inquiring about dental school. Thanks again Chi :) Dr. Daryl has an incredible team he is working with & you will NOT be disappointed. I am a new patient at 12th Avenue Dental Centre. I looked at different reviews and decided to give them a try. I was really pleased with the service. Dr. Rakochey (Daryl) is very nice. He spent a lot of time talking to me about my teeth and explaining what he was seeing on my x-rays. He was very good at answering all my questions on a wide array of issues. I really enjoyed our conversation. Chi, Dr. Rakochey’s assistant, was great. She also spent a lot of time with me answering questions and teaching me lots of different things about teeth and gums I didn’t know. She is very enthused about oral hygiene and a wealth of knowledge. Marsha was my hygienist. She was excellent. I had missed a few cleanings and it showed. I was worried some of the staining on my teeth would be permanent. When I left her chair my teeth were glowing. She did such a good job – I was so pleased! Pricing was more than fair. We had very candid conversations about what was necessary and what could be skipped. This is not a dentist that is trying to push anything on you. I’m not working right now so this really meant a lot to me. Conclusion: 12th Avenue Dental Centre is my new permanent dentist. It’s always hard switching dentists but my visit went really well so I would recommend them.

Receptionist is horrible and the doctor supports that! I was going there for a few years and once the hygienist was rude for me being 3 minutes late. Another time I was booked and went there only to learn that the computer had crashed prior to that day and no one received a notice so my appointment was cancelled. Soon after I had confirmation for 2 appointments and upon arrival they said I had to come back because they could only do one appointment. Cant take so much time off work that's just insane. When I told the doctor my disappointment he supported his staffs wrong doing instead of apologizing. And the hours of operation aren't very good for the customers either. You will have to take time off work.

Dr Daryl Rakochey is a very friendly and highly professional man.Every procedure was painless and enjoyable.I highly recommend 12 Avenue Dental for a comfortable , care free experience.I have been to many horse doctor dentists. I assumed that was the way of things. Until I went to Dr Rakochey he is totally honest and takes the time to inform the patient, in all discussions and procedures.To put it plainly the best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.Go try him and you will see how gentle and informative he really is.
