Great overall experience at this dental office. Dr. Nguyen is highly experienced, with a gentle and thoughtful manner. Caring, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I also like that Dr. Nguyen offers dental care in multiple disciplines, not just focused on traditional dental care but other services which most dentists can't do. It's a one stop shop for most oral care when I need it. I also like their patient-centered approach to dental care. It isn't just caring about your teeth. Their well thought out approach takes into account your entire experience as you enter the office. From an iPad station for your little ones, a washroom equipped with toothbrushes before your appointment, or watching Netflix to during your treatment, they've thought of it all. Not to mention the latest technology in dental equipment and imaging. I highly recommend Tansley Woods to anyone looking for approachable, trustworthy, and reliable oral care.

I had a few bad experiences when I was younger that left me with a fear of going to the dentist, so during my search I was really hoping to find an office that i felt comfortable in. I came across Tansley Woods Instagram account and i loved how social and family orientated Dr Nguyen and his staff were. They looked like such a fun staff I reached out to them immediately. It had been awhile since my last dentist visit so I was pretty nervous. Mai the receptionist immediately made me feel SO welcome coming in, she put any worries I had at ease and made me feel super positive. Dr Nguyen himself is just fantastic, he has such a calm demeanour that I mediately let comfortable with him, I found him to be so personable and very kind and caring. During my check up I felt completely relaxed. The dental hygienist, Ashley is also just awesome, she is super sweet and always makes sure you feel comfortable . I got to watch Netflix while my teeth were being cleaned ( how awesome is that?!). I honestly adore the staff, they all make you feel like a part of a family and i definitely look forward to seeing them! My teeth have never looked better and I feel so happy knowing I have such a great team i can count on for my dental needs. I highly recommend Tansley Woods Dentistry if you're looking for the best dental team ever!

Since I started seeing Dr. Nguyen and his team I genuinely look forward going to the dentist now. Whether it’s a biannual cleaning (Ashleigh is awesome! so gentle yet so meticulous!), a checkup or an emergency visit - I’m always excited to see the Tansley Woods Dentistry team. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and your wonderful team at TWD for helping me gain confidence in my smile. Even after braces, I was still unhappy with the discolouration and texture of my teeth due to tetracycline staining. Dr. Nguyen recommended porcelain veneers and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Other people have also noticed and complimented on my beautiful, white smile! I just started going to Tansley Woods and WOW what a difference!!! I had been putting off doing a gum graft procedure for 5+ years because I heard it's a painful surgery. Well, I'm so happy I went to Dr. Nguyen. First of all, he is up to date on the procedure - no longer using the skin from the palate - which means less pain and quicker healing. When it came to doing the procedure, I didn't even feel the needles he used to freeze me, let alone the gum graft procedure! It's healing beautifully and the care that this clinic has taken is above and beyond what I've experienced at other clinics (i.e. calling me day after to ensure I felt okay/address any concerns, providing his personal cell # incase I had any questions over the weekend, etc.). If you're looking for a new dentist, I would highly recommend Tansley Woods. Oh, and their office is beautiful and they have free swag for your babies/dogs... who doesn't love free stuff ;)

Undoubtedly one of most inviting dental office I've been to in all of my life. I dread going to the dentist and I spend hours before the appointment coming up with excuses to not go but all of that changed when I was introduced to Tansley Woods Dentistry. Centrally located between Oakville and Burlington, and not to mention easy to get to, the office is bright, airy, contemporary and extremely welcoming. Dr. Nguyen – More than a Dentist All of my life I have struggled with my teeth. I hated smiling. Other dentists only fixed the immediate problems; they didn’t offer me an overall solution. I needed someone to help me feel comfortable smiling. I needed a dentist who offered a strategy for all of my dental issues – crooked teeth, old crowns, receding gums and broken implants. Knowing what I was looking for, my friend recommended Dr. Nguyen. As soon as I met Dr. Nguyen, and his incredible staff, I knew I was in the right place. The office was clean, organized, and welcoming. Dr. Nguyen spent time with me and asked lots of questions to understand my needs. He took time to prepare a solution and asked for my input every step of the way. Not only was Dr. Nguyen creating a complete plan – which I was incredibly excited about – he consulted me about all the options, procedures, timelines and the cost. I was part of the experience.The execution was flawless. Dr. Nguyen is a highly skilled professional. The process was not without some level of pain and extended periods sitting in the chair but everyone was so kind and reassuring. The associates were unbelievably knowledgeable and always willing to explain what was happening.And Mai, the office manager, was incredible. She’s a wonderful person who is genuine, caring and supportive. She managed my appointments, she always greeted me with a smile, a story and even gifts. I am extremely happy with my results. My wife and I went to Tansley Woods Dentistry for the first time recently. I had originally gone for pain in a back tooth, which I had looked at by another dentist but was not comfortable with his response. Enter Dr. Nguyen, he was personable, knowledgeable, conscientious, and absolutely professional. I knew that would be the case the moment I stepped through the door. Mai is a wonderful host and strives to make you feel at home, as if you were part of their family. The office itself is serene and calming for those with dental anxiety. Alicia, Dr. Nguyen's assistant, was welcoming and great to chat with, an awesome way to forget you're at the dentist! I went back for regular cleaning not long after and Ashleigh was incredible. I am fairly anxious about the tools and such and I actually forgot where I was because I had so much fun chatting with her. Overall, Dr. N fixed a problem no other dentist could fix for me. The entire team he has built is incredible, and although I am moving further away, I can assure you that Tansley Woods Dentistry will always be my dentist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

To say I was a nervous patient is putting it very mildly. I found myself it quite a pickle...right in the throws of Covid. I had experienced the pain of an infected tooth many, many times but had always just wished it away until the pain and swelling subsided on its own. This time I knew that this wasn't just going to go away on its own and I needed to call for help. I searched the internet for dentists near me and was brought to several websites. I thought that Tansley Woods Dental's website had a lot of good energy and I was drawn to the profiles. I'm embarrassed to say how many years I let my fear of seeing a dentist get in the way of good dental health. When Mai called me back after I reached out for help with my dental emergency, I was still scared to go but she was very reassuring over the phone and suggested I come in to just speak with Dr. Nguyen. She didn't chastise me for avoiding the dentist as I feared, but simply said "You made the call, now you can move forward". I'm so glad I made that call. Once I forced myself to go and experienced how reassuring, gentle and thoughtful the entire staff are, I had no hesitation in moving forward and getting myself back on a healthy path. I've had a number of procedures since my initial visit in May - several extractions, a bone graft, restored old fillings and hygiene appointments. Were they fun? Heck no!! But my anxiety was considered and the whole team encouraged and let me set the pace. After each difficult procedure Dr. Nguyen called me the following day(s) to check in and see how I was feeling. How many dentists have you heard of that will take the time to call to make sure you're okay after a procedure?? This simple gesture meant so much and was part of why I could continue to find the courage to walk through the door time after time, even when I knew I was facing a potentially unpleasant appointment. Honestly, nothing was as bad as dealing with the pain that initially brought me to Tansley Woods Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen and his whole team truly care about their patients. My experience with past dentists for myself and for my children was that none of them really cared about their patients and seemed more interested in finding more billable procedures once they found out that we had dental benefits (yes, my kids always saw a dentist and I secretly prayed that they wouldn't notice that I never had my own appointments - I didn't want them to fear the dentist the way I did....it was what I now call "my dirty little secret"). Tansley Woods Dentistry is not like that in my experience. Yes, I've had a number of procedures and I have elected to continue my care with Invisalign, but Dr. Nguyen provides ALL of the options that he thinks will help you and encourages you to decide if you want to do some, all or none of what he suggests. I did not feel pressured in any way to invest in my smile and health. If you're a big scaredy cat about going to the dentist like I WAS, do yourself a favor and call Mai to set up a visit to meet the team. You won't be sorry you did. I walk out of the office each time asking myself why I waited so long! Thank you Dr. Nguyen, Mai and Alicia ! It feels great to be doing this for myself and have a great team helping me create a healthy and beautiful smile!

I was looking for a reputable dentist in my area that would be able to do the 6 month smile I was looking for to fix my teeth. I did not want a lengthy treatment plan which I was told by other dentist that I needed to have done. I found Tansley Woods dentistry. From the first phone call I was impressed. They were able to see me right away and talk about the treatment and wether or not I was a good candidate. There was never any pressure and Dr. Nguyen was very thorough in his examination and not only told me what he can do but showed me. He took the time to explain everything which was totally different from the other dentist I had gone to. Another wonderful thing was that getting appointments would not be a problem which was important to me since my daughter who is also getting ortho treatment through another dentist has only 1 day a month to see the dentist which is very hard to get into especially if you happen to have holidays at the same time. That would of moved my treatment up and made it that much longer which I did not want. My treatment went exactly how Dr. Nguyen said it would and I was so pleased. Every appointment I had Dr. Nguyen and Alicia would always make sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening for that particular day. Every time I went to the office (once a month) Mai always sincerely greeted me like family, even my daughter's wanted to switch dentists after coming with me on a visit. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and his team. I have now switched dentist and am so happy to finally have a dentist and team that truly care.

By far the best dentist and practice I’ve ever experienced in my nearly 40 years. Friendly staff that treat you like family, exceptionally clean facilities and very accommodating to any needs. They have fit me in, with a moments notice when I was expediting tooth pain multiple times and referred me to an incredible location for wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are very honest and open about treatments and any costs. They have made dentist visits something our family looks forward to versus dreads.

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend! I have probably been to just as many dentists in my lifetime as I have teeth in my mouth and Tansley Woods Dentistry has been the best experience at any of them by far. Everybody is so friendly, caring, knowledgeable, patient and professional. From the moment you call or walk in, you are greeted by Mai - super bubbly, enthusiastic administrator who knows what she is talking about. How can you not be in a good mood after talking to her? (even though you're at the dentist!) Alicia and Ashleigh have been so patient with me. Always making me feel comfortable in the chair, always checking in with me and asking if I'm ok and always taking the time to explain everything to me. If that wasn't enough - another thing that really separates Dr. Nguyen's office from every other place is the plan he came up with to restore my mouth back to proper health. No other place came up with a thorough plan for me. He took the time to take pictures to track and show me how things were going, printed out a long-term care plan (including estimated costs) to fix all the many things that happened / were happening in my mouth. He sat down with me, asked me all the right questions and presented me with a solution. Much like everybody else in that office - he is extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring. It is evident to me that he has a genuine interest in the care and health of my mouth. He explains everything every step of the way. What other dentist calls you the next day / 48 hrs after to check up on you after a lengthy procedure? And even if it was a Saturday morning! Dr. Nguyen continues to impress with every visit - and I've had plenty of visits. This whole team has hand their hand in helping to restore my mouth back to great health! I'm looking forward to continuing the journey Dr. Nguyen designed for (and even with) me to get me feeling confident about my smile again! And I wouldn't go anywhere else to finish the job! You can tell they have such pride in their office, and it is so nice to not be rushed through an appointment. Had went here in the spring of 2021 based on how many five star reviews they had, after having a very bad toothache for a couple weeks. They were very friendly and helpful in booking me in right away however after doing 8 or 6 bitewing x rays and 1 panoramic x-ray over 2 visits I was told they could see nothing wrong and that my next course of action would be to see a specialist. Seeing as that would be expensive I had visited another dentist just to make sure, and with one x-ray he was able to see the tooth was cracked and remedied my problem. Upset that I was exposed to all those x-rays and paid for nothing in the end really, so just thought I'd share my experience and to remember that google reviews don't indicate the whole story I guess. I removed my upper tooth for an implant placement 2 years ago at another dentistry. After searching for a second opinion from several dentists, luckily I found Tansley Woods dentistry last year. I like that Dr. Nguyen explains what works, and what needs to be done with his knowledge. He is not only professional, but is able to make people feel at ease with his friendly manner. Now that my bone grafting and implant placement are successfully done I couldn't ask for better. With a comfortable atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff members I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

I normally don’t write reviews, but as a dental patient of Dr. Thelam Nguyen for more than 10 years at his practice in Waterloo, I feel compelled to write this one. Dr. Nguyen is not just a good dentist, but also a very kind human being who seems to genuinely care about his patients. Whether it’s doing his utmost to ensure that you have a painless experience, or taking the time to patiently answer your questions, Dr. Nguyen is one of those rare dental professionals who clearly loves his work and wants to do the best job possible for his patients. Dr. Nguyen also seems to be great with kids. The calm, friendly and well organized atmosphere at Applewood Dental Centre, and the efficiency and friendliness of all its support staff that I have met over the past 10 years, also reflect very well on the clinic and the human resource management skills of Dr. Nguyen and his partner dentist in Waterloo Dr. Lenizky (who I have not personally met, but have seen around). Regrettably for Waterloo, Dr. Nguyen is gradually shifting his dental practice to Burlington, Ontario, to be closer to his family and home in a nearby city. Fortunately for those in Burlington, you will now be able to benefit from a wonderful family dental professional.

We just moved back to Burlington and needed a Dentist. I'm so happy we chose Tansley Woods Dentistry as Dr. Nguyen is by far the best dentist we've ever had. He is meticulous and has all the up-to-date equipment to handle all dental problems. We went to see him to have implants done. I was afraid of getting this work done, I don't like pain. Dr Nguyen promised I would feel no pain, and true to his promise after 4 hours of work done in my mouth, I felt no pain not even the thawing out. At the time, I was new to the neighbourhood and was looking for a dentist. I stumbled upon Tansley Woods Dentistry which was close by and convenient to get to. There was a news article on how they offered their services to a new family in Canada which I got good vibes from. I made the call to switch and make my first appointment. Little did I know that the staff was super warming and welcoming. Every single staff member always had a smile and great conversation! The receptionist Mai, all the dental assistants and Dr. Nguyen are so friendly. They make an effort to get to know you and it doesn’t really feel like you’re at the dentist. They know what they’re doing and walk you through everything prior to starting. During the procedures, they ask periodically if you are comfortable and not feeling any pain. This place is great, and now, I actually enjoy going to the dentist. I highly recommend them to everyone I know!

Dr. Nguyen and is staff exceeded all of my expectations. Starting right from the consultations with myself and my wife. I have underwent extensive work, starting with an extraction, two bone grafts, two root canals, two implants, and 14 crowns. Dr. Nuygen has completely reworked my entire top row of teeth. I could not be happier with the professionalism that himself and his dental assistant have shown, he has followed up every procedure with next day phone calls to check in and see how I was doing. His attention to detail to make sure that my smile stayed the same, that my speech was not impacted by teeth replacement, that my new crowns were the perfect size and shape as to not change my overall appearance. Overall, I couldn’t be happier and I love my new smile. My confidence level has risen to a new high and everyone around me has complimented what a great job and how nice my new teeth look. I have spent many years having cold sensitive teeth and now all of that is gone. I sure did enjoy my first bowl of ice cream after my procedure. A friend recommended Dr.Nguyen at Tansley Woods Dentistry to me. I live in Oakville but she said that it would be worth my time to drive into Burlington to see this dentist. I was at a point where I really needed a dentist that could evaluate my situation and come up with a plan of action to address my many issues. I was so impressed with everything from my initial contact with Mai his very friendly receptionist, to the well appointed facility with all of the latest equipment, and of course with Dr. Nguyen himself and his caring and attentive assistant. I felt completely at ease and confident in his care. To my surprise he even called me the day after my initial procedure to see how I was doing and then again after my second procedure even leaving me his cell number so that I could connect with him if need be on the long weekend!!! Over the past six months, I have visited Tansley Woods Dentistry for cleaning and a soft tissue graft over three teeth (two with significant recession). My teeth, which my previous dentist said were “impossible to clean” are now beautiful and I am not afraid to smile any more. The soft tissue graft has successfully fixed serious recession and was not in the least bit painful/scary. But what impresses me the most about this team is how genuine they are. We recently changed dentists, mainly due to seeing and hearing about Tansley Woods Dentistry's exceptional sterilization procedures. We went for an orientation and consultation and were very impressed with Dr Nguyen and his staff's professional mannerisms. We received a summarized estimate of work that we had thought about for years. Dr. Nguyen took the time to explain the procedures in detail, with no pressure. We felt very confident in going forward with the treatment plan. We decided to replace crowns and have bone grafting and skin grafting for 2 dental implants. Dr Nguyen constantly monitored the implant sights with frequent visits to ensure proper healing. I recently moved to the area and after a number of negative experiences in searching for a new Dentist, I thought my only option would be a solid sedation for anything drill related. Seeking a second option, I went to see Dr. Nguyen with extreme caution. To say I am a nervous patient would be an understatement. I entered the bright, modern office and was greeted by Mai, the office manager. The woman is extremely cheery and very funny. You have no choice but to believe her when she tells you that you will be fine. Unlike other offices, I have had Alicia as my dental assistant each appointment. She's kind, bubbly, and always remembers which Netflix show puts a girl at ease. Finally, Dr. Nguyen. He is patient and answers all questions before and after appointments. Personally I always hated going to the dentist ever since I was a kid. But a friend recommended me to start visiting Dr. Nguyen and his team in Burlington. I am very happy I decided to take her advice, because that is exactly what every trip to the dentist is now... a visit! The entire team is so welcoming and friendly and they go out of their way to make sure their visitors are always comfortable.
